Aussie weaved her way through a small set of trees. But she wasn't the only wolf. Another set of pawsteps followed her. Those belonged to her best friend Traveler. They had set out only hours earlier to solve every mystery this valley had to offer. Detectives of the mountain if you will? "I think we're almost there! Just aroun' the bend." She called back to Traveler. Aussie bushy tail wagged lazily behind her. She was glad they had left when they did. It would be sundown soon and they wouldn't have to wait long for the flower show. She saw a pebble down at her foot. It was only slightly larger than the one they had been playing with. Aussie lost it in a small creek. She rolled it back to Traveler with magic. The fully formed mark on her should glowing. The shape of the White Wolf Mountain Range condensed into one silver mark on a right orange wolf.

"Thankfully it will be sundown soon!" Her coon mask deflected blinding afternoon rays. But she still squinted against it. "Snows almost melted!" She added gleefully. Her chocolate tipped toes no longer soaking with slush.

Traveler's paws were completely wet from the almost melted snow. But that didn't matter, she was astonished by all the smells there was on the meadow. Melting snow showed some bare ground and grass, and most importantly the flowers! They were still closed on buds, and Traveler couldn't wait for them to open! The sun was setting, painting everything with pretty warm colors, and little red wolf looked around her in awe.
She looked at her friend who was running in front of her, and saw her rolling the pebble back to Traveler. Not slowing her pace, she put her head down and took the pebble between her front teeth, and run next to Aussie.
"ooo I can't wait!" She said, consonants muffled by the pebble in heer teeth. So she swung her neck and threw the pebble forward, kicking it then with her paws as it rolled forward. "I've never seen how these flowers look like when they bloom!" She said with excitement.

"Me either!" Aussie replied giggling at the muffled words. Her long lanky legs gracefully keeping a brisk pace. The trees began to thin making the sun even worse. Some gnats flew in a swarm about a foot above Aussie's head at one spot. She snapped at them annoyed.

As they left the buzzing insects behind as the tree range opened out into a large meadow. The bud flowers they saw spotting the ground under the trees now filling the land. They were still closed but it wasn't going to be a problem. The sun was halfway set behind the mountain range. The moon beginning her path across the sky. She yawned. "Wow, I'm gettin' sleepy early!" She joked. "Pebble game to pass the time?"

The opening meadow was absolutely breathtaking. There wasn't snow anymore, the sun had shone so warmly on the opening. The whole ground was covered with those bud flowers, and Traveler had to watch where she stepped, she didn't want to step on those flowers!
"don't you fall asleep, or else I'll use you as my sitting platform." She threatened and giggled. Traveler had still a lot of energy on her. This was all so exciting and she couldn't wait for the sun to set down. It was possible that the exhaustion would strike suddenly, but not now! Now she had her light colored eyes wide open as she looked around her.
"Yeah, sounds fun!" She answered for Aussies suggestion. She sat down, and hold her front paws on top of the pebble, pressing it down. "Let's see how strong your power can be, try to get it away from me!" She dared, looking at Aussie with a little mischievous smile.

Aussie snapped to attention at the threat of being used as a seat."Don't you even think about it." She replied good naturedly. Picking her way to an open spot she hat and stared at the pebble under Traveler's foot. She tried to jerk it from under her paws. No luck. "Hmmm....." Aussie tried again. Her ears flattening with concentration. It wouldn't budge. Aussie had to think about this one. If the pebble was flatter it would be possible to slip it from her paws.

Without warning the pebble flattened in shape. Almost like a throwing stone. With its small shape it slipped from Trav's red paws and slid towards Aussie. As it reached her it slowed but the orange wolf had sprang up and darted back a few fox-lengths. "Crikey! WHAT was that all about!" She paced a little jittery. "That's new by far."

Traveler watched as Aussie seemed to think how to get the pebble move. She hold the little stone on it's place with her front paws, tail wagging from excitement. She felt that the pebble did move a little bit under her paws, but not much. There was some power behind it, but not enough strong to move the object that was under pressure.
Traveler was just about to say something encouraging and maybe move her paws, when the pebble under her paws suddenly flattened. It slipped under her paws so quickly that she startled and yelped with high pitch voice as she lump forward.
"Wow? That was awesome! You're progressing!" She then exclaimed and cheered for her friend, rising up to sit straight again.

"That was weird."Aussie mumbled. But Trav's encouragement soothed her a bit. She tried to still see this situation as strange but she soon found it fascinating. She stared down the pebble. She though of am even better shape. She morhped legs and a tail out of the pebble. Finally a howling muzzle. It wore her out a bit to try and make it so detailed. But it looked Great when she finished. "There, it's a wolf howling." Aussie ears and tail drooped with slight tiredness. That's going to need some work. She though. Her long legs folded up under so she was laying on the ground. It was cool and soft. She laid her head down on her paws. The moon was working her way across the sky. And the flowers still hadn't budged.

Something strange started to happen with the pebble, it looked like it changed shape. Traveler tilt her head from side to side in amazement and stared closely what was happening. It started to look more and more wolf's figure!
"Are you doing this? You're amazing!" She said in awe, looking at all the details. "It looks so pretty!" She admired as she looked the little wolf statue from every possible direction, circling around it curiously.
She then saw how Aussie laid down. She looked very tired, Traveler concluded that it was because of all that power using today. "Try to rest a little bit, close your eyes. If something starts to happen, I'll tell you." She said to her friend, sitting next to her to share some warmth. It was starting to get more and more dark, moon illuminating the world with silver. Traveler looked around her, observing the flowers.

Aussie gladly closed her eyes. Traveler walked over and laid down next to her. Aussie's eyelids saw the cold silver light shine through them. Blinding her even though they weren't in fact open. A warm night breeze ruffled her fur. Aussie contented herself with trying to identify scents. Not being able to withstand the curiosity she opened her lavender eyes to view her handy-work. It was a good replica. Giving a half smile she went back to her scents game. A rabbit, grouse, and cardinal came along the breeze. The smell of the flowers, a mix of lavender and strawberries to Aussie, were making it a challenge. But fun, she loved a challenge.

Now that neither of them talked, the red wolf heard all the life that surrounded them. There was birds singing, some insects buzzing around them, and wind bringing faraway singing from all living creatures there was. It was very nice to have someone to talk to, but a silence now and then was pleasant too.
Traveler looked down at Aussie. She had eyes closed, and she wasn't sure if she slept or not. Well whatever she was or not, Traveler had promised to stay awake and tell her if the flowers bloomed. And she intended to keep her promise, even though she started to feel heaviness on her eyelids.

Some time went, and nothing happened. The moon was very high now. Traveler realized that she felt very sleepy now, so she shook her head like trying to shoo the sleep away. Then she looked at the ground. Her eyes widened as she saw how one flower bud close to them had started to open a little. As Traveler looked around them, she saw that many flowers had started to slowly open.
Her face widened with smile as she rose up in excitement. She nudged Aussie's muzzle with her front paw. "Hey, hey Aussie, something's happening!"

Aussie woke with a start. "What in powers name!" She grumbled. Blinking sleep from her eyes she saw the flowers begin to bloom. Slowly creeping open the same way as a wolf awakening from a long nap. Aussie pushed heself up and stared about in wonder. She looked up, moonhigh. Makes sense she thought. "Trav what so you think causes these flowers to bloom only at night?" She questioned. Her white toes, chest, and belly glowing under the moonlight. Wind blowed a little harder but not much. The Lunar Meadows looked peaceful and serene. But Aussie wondered about what hidden secrets it held. And if possible, what dangers.

"They're sooo pretty~" Traveler said in awe as she looked all around her blooming flowers. The scenary looked totally magical, flowers reflecting the moonlight and making them look like they were glowing. Traveler was feeling very peaceful, not all lively and perky as this wolf usually was, but thanks to her tiredness she was feeling calm and nicely peaceful. She turned her head towards the horizon behind their backs, looking at the White Wolf Mountain. It was clearly visible, standing high and proud. "Maybe that mountain has something to do with it. And those magical wolves you told me." She guessed, wondering about it. This really was a strange place to live, with magical mountains and wolves.

"Well the Power has been here for longer than anything or so I'm told." Aussie murmured. The scents were making her drowsy. Yawning she leaned back done on her paws. Sniffing at some flowers trying to memorize their scent. Lavender and strawberries. "Well..." was all she got out before she drifted off slightly smiling. Peace and tiredness go hand in hand. Her sides rose and fell with steady beats. Ears laying lazily on her head. Zzzzzz.......Zzzzzzz......Zzzzz.......

((That sounds great! What do you say we work our way up the list? Like from Lunar Meadows to Kai Lake to Anoux Creek and so forth until we reach the White Wolves? It might be autumn by then. And to make up for extras time we can explore to the max! ))

Traveler still had her eyes locked on the mysterious mountain as she listened to her friend. Then she realized that Aussie had got silent while speaking. "Huh?" Red wolf looked at her friend, and saw that she had fell asleep, with a sweet smile. Traveler laughed shortly and silently for her sleepy friend, she had really strained herself with all that power using. But Traveler too was really tired, so she laid down next to Aussie, staying close to share warmth. She thought in her mind how wonderful life was, when she woke up to this day she didn't know that she'd find herself an awesome new friend and start something exciting!
It didn't take long until she was deep in sleep, dreaming about upcoming adventures.

Aussie heard a few sounds throughout the night. But not many. The sun those high the next morning before Aussie stretched her eyes open. Shaking herself she stood and flexed her spine. Arching her front end down and sticking her paws out. Traveler was still asleep, Or just resting. Either way she was bound to hungry. Silently walking of into the woods Aussie sniffed around. Scuffles filled her ears. She froze and turned her head. Beady eyes flick nervously. As if it could sense her presence but didn't see her. It tensed like it would run. But it hesitated.
Wrong move.
Aussie crept closer. She saw a band if pebbles. Pebbles! Smiling to herself she stalked to the opposite of the stones. Using her power she made one roll towards the rabbit. It panicked. The brown animal ran right into her waiting paws.

A sharp squeal resounded.
