Blooming Romance in the Winter Snow? [Tagged and Open]

Tala

She warched him. With every word he spoke he seemed to grow in size. Even though she wanted to feel strong and unwavering in his presence, Tala could feel her instincts telling her to run. Before she could act on the warning, he pounced on her. It was not a rough tackle, but he easily pinned her to the ground. Tala had closed her eyes to brace for impact. Now she opened them and looked into his milky blue eyes. His body stood over her vulnerable stomach. Obscure could easily rip her to shreds. He seemed to exude authority and masculinity that he had not shown before.

Every syllable made Tala want to tuck her tail and grimace in fear, but she would not show such weakness. A growl sounded in her throat. She started to struggle against his hold, but his weight was too much for her to dislodge. Tala became frustrated and frantically wiggled under his grasp. This feeling of losing control scared her, yet thrilled her. Even in her mixed emotions, Tala could feel herself coming to respect the wolf looking down on her. He had the guts and the strength to overpower her, which no one had dared do before. However, this did not change the fact that he now stood over her, demanding that she treat him as an "equal." Tala growled again, debating her options in her mind. She had no way to escape unless he let her go. And the only way he would do that was if she agreed to his terms. The choice was obvious. Her growl continued as she responded. "Fine, Obscure. No let me up." She wiggled again, trying to get out from under him.

"I hold you to your word and I will not hesitate to do this if you go back on it." Obscure warned darkly, eyes glinting coldly, as if envisioning the wolf below him torn into fleshy ribbons of flayed meat. He was not doing that, however, but he did snarl a little before removing his paws, one by one. Waiting to see what Tala would do next. If she attacked him, he could still pin her, as he was keeping his distance close.

((They could go on a "mission" together and get stuck in a storm or something. They just need some alone time that Tala can't escape. Or perhaps Tala could get injured somehow and he could save her. I don't know. ))

She wouldn't appreciate being saved, so I think the winter storm. Just let me write the winter storm? I love writing storms and death scenes. Very nice, very destructive. Not so skilled at writing co nstructive stuff though. Aren't you supposed to be sleeping? Besides, I need to cook dinner - so give me maybe half an hour? Thanks))

"Shall we hunt, then? The pack will be needing more food." Obscire hinted, his voice somewhat low and gravelly from just now. His eyes were still hard, but not as much and his hackles were not raised at all. It didn't mean he was unaware of his surroundings, or oblivious to the wolf beside him. He was merely relaxing. He could leap up and attack once more any time he wanted.

Much to her satisfaction, his grip on her lessened. Obscure's words sounded fairly similar to a threat. Tala noticed the glint in his eyes that expressed his dominance over her in that second. With a quick changing of his mind, he could tear her stomach to shreds. This would leave her vulnerable, weak, and perhaps eternally disabled. Perhaps not in the physical way, but mentally and internally, breaking her will and preventing her from ever having pups. Tala thought about it. She probably wouldn't have her will broken and it was unlikely that the second would occur or matter. Was it worth it to break her word and suffer the consequences? She hated herself for thinking such a thing. Breaking her word? Never. She had her pride to sustain. 

Tala nodded in agreement with Obscure. His paws came off her one by one, reluctantly releasing his hold on her. She rolled onto her side, hiding her vulnerable underbelly and her wounded pride. Her body shifted as she rose to her paws. The idea of hunting didn't appeal to her, but Obscure seemed set on it. Did she really want to anger him right after he had so easily pinned her to the ground? The answer was no. Then did she really have a choice but to take him up on his offer? Again, no. Tala walked past Obscure towards the forest. As she passed him, she mumbled something under her breath. "Fine."
