@shiver @crow @tearinmyheart @remus 6dewdropsWe'll go in posting rounds, kay? Me, then Rem, followed by Treble and whoever posts next.
Koroneis grinned as she put her paw over the border of Outer Reaches, the first step to finally creating Fallen Ashes. Here, she would see her pack come to life, flourish and grow like it was supposed to. Here she would see it prosper and become great. A legend among wolves, the members and forming members of Fallen Ashes would live forever in the Valley's history. As the sun still shone brightly, the sparse placement of trees cast random shadows about the place. It had started to cool down a little, her coat trapping less heat. She waited for Lorde to arrive, then she let her voice be carried on the winds so he could hear. When he had joined her, they would howl for the pack.

Vandheer caught up to Koroneis; they had reached the border. Lorde could tell from the flood of emotions that she was feeling; the anticipation, the excitement... all the overwhelming emotions that came with great change. He himself felt them, though his feelings were much more dull. But nonetheless, it was something new for Vandheer; he had not felt this excited for something in forever, and while his face was still his traditional cold mask, his heart was beating slightly faster and his eyes had a new layer of depth to them. This was it.
He padded up beside Koroneis and looked in her eye, a dark glimmer twinkling behind his gaze. He raised his head up as she did and howled for the pack. His dark and melodious call rose into the air, his shadows rising from the ground like smoke as he called. The shadows of the tree seemed to distort as he called.

A melodic, beautiful song could only describe what they had howled for. Two voices harmonized as one to bring wolves from all around the Valley that they might lay claim to their territory and take what was rightfully theirs. Fallen Ashes would rule the Outer Reaches, their legacy spread far and wide until even those in the far west would hear and clam out to join. Koroneis's own part of the song sung of her hopes and dreams for her pack that she would nurture like a mother with her pups. She would see it thrive until her dying days, forever to her pack. Koroneis still howled, still called for her pack members to come, come and lay their claim to the land. And they would come, few as they were but still powerful enough to give Fallen Ashes a strong first impression and mightier even after.
Yemen, Xafier, Lydia, Skag, Jules, it is time to fulfil your promise to your Pack. It is time to show the world the greatness of us and show how even the smallest ashes can bring forth the beauty and power of a Phoenix. Let your voices join us, come, come and sing.
Greenfire closed her eyes, breathing in the air and then opened them to meet Lorde - no, Vandheer's gaze and saw the faintest smattering of emotion there. She saw the shadows bow to his will and rise up around them both. Heather and brush shadows joined with his as he too, called, and the lone tree's shadow likened to a dancing serpent, distorting with it's master's call. Soon Fallen Ashes would finally be formed and as she looked at Vandheer Lorde with a slight gleam in her eyes, her new howl took on a tone that commanded respect and loyalty. Her voice renewed itself, renewed in strength and power and joined Vandheer's once more, this time knowing that should another come before they finished, the pack would fall into battle with the intruders.
And so she called and so she waited. Soon the valley would fall to them and then...

Xaefir was nearby, waiting. He knew that this place was to be his new home, so he had taken it upon himself to know the territory like the tip of his nose. The green and silver striped male was padding through ankle-high scrub when he heard it. A low, howl. The strong, sharp howl of a commanding male, it was a voice of authority. Xaefir growled softly before dismissing it as a loner and moving on, paws weaving around the fallen trees in this desolate area. Xaefir was once again alerted as a second, higher, more feminine voice joined the first. Though this voice was far from shallow and timid, it was strong, determined and crisp. That was the voice of an Alphess. His Alphess. Xaefir immediate broke from his route, leaving his rounds unfinished. He bounded away from his post, nearing the crest if a rise in the desolate moor land. There he howled an answer. His own voice was deep and tinted with sadness, though the emotion that carried through its timbre was excitement. Just because he called himself evil, didnt mean he was resigned to emotionless-ness. He could be cheerfull if he liked! He called himself evil because of his ambition. His drive to get what he wanted done, and to do anything it took to get there, even if that path led him to ending a life. His goal was to become the best fighter he could be, despite his condition. Xaefir once again took off across the flatland until he saw them on the horizon. There, a deep red shewolf and a grey make shrouded in shadows that seemed to crawl over the land, seeping into its every fiber. Xaefir barked to announce his presence and stride forwards, dipping his head to the two wolves, Koronies and this male who he assumed was her fellow Alpha. "Greetings, I am Xaefir."

"I trust the one wolf who has arrived will be in good hands with Alpha Vandheer...?" Koroneis trailed off, feeling the urge to patrol her lands, just to make sure there were no unwelcome intruders. She dipped her head to her fellow alpha and Xaefir before turning to take her leave. The Outer Reaches were clear and her sight could travel far and wide. With her eyes gleaming in anticipation of the coming stroll/walk/chase intruders off, she glared straight at a point on the horizon before teleporting away, power mark showing it's glow on the hard-ish ground. Perhaps she would find new members for the pack.

((Sorry for taking a bit to post university started up again so it was hectic getting settled in class haha ;o; ))
It was slower going for the blind male as he picked his way carefully through the brush and growth. He knew where he was going, but finding it was a different story. The scents were everywhere and confusing his nose, "How bothersome." He snorted softly and kept going, intending to poke around until he found what he was looking for.
Or heard it.
His ears became alert when he heard the calling howls, straining his senses as he followed the sound, his pace was brisk as he went, wanting to find them before the sound died down. The scent of wolves caused his nostrils to flare as he came upon them, he could hear the command and strength in their voices, and lifted his own to join theirs. This would be his new home, the only home he had ever belonged to.
After a moment he dipped his head in a respectful gesture, "Apologies for being late, it is always difficult when exploring new territory." He nodded a greeting to the other wolf, Xaefir, as he believed he'd heard him say, "Greetings to you as well."

@shiver @crow @tearinmyheart 6dewdrops(heya guys; we'll continue on as if Vandheer was the intended alpha all along; would that be good with you all? Or perhaps on a side note, we could have Koroneis vanish, the story behind her disappearance could that Vandheer murdered her in order to be the sole ruler. up to you guys. ^_^) Vandheer stood proudly, his shadows swirling at their usual place at his paws as he looked over those in front of him. These wolves that shared his intents would be the founders of a new pack, one that would take its rightful place in history. The prospect made Lorde both excited and slightly nervous despite himself. While this was a huge leap forward in his ambitions, he had only studied the trait of leadership; never before had he put them into actual practice. He stood a little straighter, his eyes growing more sharp and his posture taking on a more commanding expression; he would not let such an important event fail. His eyes first fell upon the wolf called Xaefir; a strong male with sharp eyes and an eagerness to form the pack. He allowed a moment of eye contact as he looked upon the silver and green male before nodding and turning his gaze towards the other wolf. Vandheer internally frowned as he noticed that this wolf was blind, though dismissed his worry; while he would serve no real purpose in the defense force, there was a strong chance that he could serve as a healer to the pack. He nodded to this wolf as well, glad that the ranks were filling out, even though only two wolves were present. "Good afternoon, Xaefir and who i presume to be Skag," he said in his darkened voice, taking a slight step forward, " you have decided to become the start of a force that will change the valley, a force to be remembered in history and spoken of in legends. I welcome you to Fallen Ashes."

Jules panted heavily as her lightly colored paws thudded into the soft grass. She really hoped Whisper was following her and that this was the right group of wolves. Relying on hope, she slowed down when she got closer to the congregation. To make herself more presentable the she wolf lifted her head and tried to slow her breath. The journey here, had taken much longer than she had originally desired. Of course, it's not like Jules could run who knows how many miles in a few minutes. She wasn't quite sure if even the white wolves could do such a thing. "Fallen Ashes?"She spoke softly, but with meaning.

Whisper:
His breath came rough as he caught up to Jules. He shook his pelt as if he could shake off the exhaustion of the run. Yet, Whisper's tongue still hung from the side of his jaw as he slowed to a stop a tail-length behind Jules. Whisper wanted to ask whether this group of wolves before them was Jules' new pack, but decided that the question would be answered momentarily. He sized up the pack. The wolf that immediately stood out to Whisper was the white wolf. His dark eyes seemed to watch everything. He was obviously the alpha. The wolf to the Alpha's right was a large lime green male. He seemed to be grinning, for some reason. The last wolf was covered in scars. No doubt he had once been a strong wolf, but now he seemed blind and in need of a meal. Whisper swallowed, trying to hold back the flood of fear. These wolves seemed cold and calculating. They could kill him without a second thought. Whisper trusted Jules though. If she told him her pack wouldn't kill him, they wouldn't kill him. Despite this reassurance, Whisper couldn't help but feel intimidated in the presence of this evil pack.

Skag kept his ears pinned forwards to pick up every detail of what his leader was saying, he knew that his future in a pack provided a much better outlook than living solitary ever could have, and though he could provide no aid in combat, he had gained quite an extensive knowledge of healing on his journeys. He could at least aid them in that way, pull some weight, despite his blindness.
He dipped his head respectfully when his leader finished speaking, "Yes, Skag is my name." He turned his blind eyes to his leader's direction and nodded, "I am proud to be a part of something so grand, I may not be able to see, but I have a healthy knowledge of healing. I will pull my weight." He would never allow himself to burden his packmates.
His ears turned towards the sound of approaching pawsteps as two more joined them, a female, with a male trailing close behind her by the sounds of it. He turned towards them and dipped his head in a polite greeting, not speaking, but acknowledging them all the same, they would be his packmates after all. He knew it would be beneficial to remain close with them, even if he was usually a rather solitary creature by nature.

(sorry guys, kind of a crappy post with a few holes. kinda tired)
Vandheer's darkened grey eyes fell upon another new arrival; a wolf fairly out of breath. "Yes, Fallen Ashes." he said, straining to keep the disapproval out of his voice; did this wolf not know the pack she was joining? No matter- she would still help strengthen the pack; he was thankful that the ranks were filling out, especially the healer. However, Vandheer showed open disdain for the wolf soon to follow behind who he presumed to be Jules; Lorde could both smell and sense the cowardice flooding from this wolf. He frowned, stepping forward so that the wolf stood directly in front of him.
"And who would this be?" He asked, his voice suddenly colder, his eyes unwavering, sleepless. He did not know a wolf of this description would be rising from the ashes; besides, this wolf was far too afraid to be joining. A wavering, smokey shadow slowly rose from the ground, hazy from the direct sunlight but still defined. It rose upwards as if to stroke the terrified wolf's cheek. Instead, it grew defined and sharp, turning a pure black that was outlined sharply against the light. A mere hair length separated the shadowy blade from the wolf's throat.
Vandhere Lorde frowned, waiting for an answer; he had no patience for those not dedicated to Fallen Ashes.

She let out a huff of breath when he questioned her ability to recognize her own pack. She had just wanted to make sure that she wasn't waltzing up to a more dangerous pack that would kill her and Whisper in a heartbeat. When her alpha stepped closer to Wisp, protectiveness and anger flared in her head and she stepped in front of him a protective manner, her movement whisking air into Vandheer's shadows and pressing her weight into it. She stopped paying attention to them as she stood between her alpha and her companion.
She bared her teeth and a growl rumbled quietly. There was a line between aggressive and protective and Jules was dangerously testing the borders between the two. Impatient, was he? "We were traveling together and we both are here now, though he isn't joining the pack." She said, choosing her words as carefully as possible. Her snarl ceased to crease her muzzle and she moved back a bit, closer to Whisper and away from Alpha Lorde's blade. Out of instinct, she pressed her shoulder to Whisper's, to comfort both him and herself. She could only hope that the two males would calm down.

(Sorry! I just found this thread and realized you guys are waiting on me DX So very sorry! ) Whisper:Whisper shifted his weight uncomfortably as the other wolves stared daggers at him. The alpha's dark eyes seemed to bore into him as the alpha confirmed that this was Jules' pack. Whisper heartbeat raced as the shadows bent the alpha's will. A chill run down Whisper's spine. It was obvious in the way the alpha's shadow seemed to play with Whisper that the grayish-brown wolf's fear had been detected by the other wolves. Fear and terror was something these wolves cause not respected. Whisper could feel the danger in the air even before the shadow shifted into a knife. Instinctively, Whisper wanted to shudder at the touch of the dagger that brush the fur of his throat. He might be about to die. Whisper tried to accept the very real possibility. His life had just barely started to get back on track after he, Jules, and Tear split ways. Now it was about to be stolen from him. Rage filled him as the reality barraged him. He couldn't allow this wolf to so easily take his life. Whisper snarled, "Course I'm not joining. I'm here for Jules and no other reason." The feel of Jules' fur against his made it hard to focus. Whisper wondered if his rash, angry words had sealed his death. Probably, but Whisper wouldn't die without a fight. His muscles were tense, waiting for the alpha's next move.

Vandheer frowned. How ignorant and uncaring must a wolf be to bring another who did not share their beliefs to the founding of a pack...? How are we to defend our borders when even those who pledged their loyalty bring their friends inside it's boundaries? He thought to himself. Perhaps forming Fallen Ashes as a mistake; already it seemed they would slow him down in his plans for the valley. But he would accept it, at least for now; there was still a chance that they would actually be worthwhile.
"Your incompetence displeases me," he growled, his voice even darker,"Escort it off the territory. If i catch you bringing another wolf into the territory without my permission, consider yourself an outcast. I hear Eternal Snowfall is accepting members."
The pointed shadow slowly dissolved, the darkness returning to swirl around Vandheer. The more natural shadows seemed to bend towards him as he stepped backward to stand in front of the group once more. "Fallen Ashes is now formed. If there are any questions considering your place within the pack or the pack's beliefs, now is the time to ask. If there are none, let us prepare a hunt to celebrate."
Vandheer smiled without emotion.

Jules bared her teeth. Not only at her Alpha, but at herself for thinking that bringing Whisper would be allowed. She mentally scolded herself, but tried to keep a straight face once more. With a quiet sigh, she turned to Whisper with a frown. "Alpha's orders, huh?" She whispered with a soft smile. Turning her head to Vandheer, her expression hardened and she nodded. Whisper still stood where he had, looking like he was ready for a fight. Shaking her head, she fell in place beside him and bumped him with her shoulder and headed for the border. "I'll try to come see you sometime. I'm not abandoning you again. Please don't think that I hate you." She said, so that her pack couldn't hear.
It frustrated her, but what could she do? It wasn't within her power to control every single thought her Alpha had. If she wanted to remain a member, she would have to obey the rules he set. She continued to push against Whisper, just in case either of the two wolves tried anything against one another. She grit her teeth, hating the fact that she would be taking orders from another wolf. Jules understood that it was all part of being a subordinate."Alright, Alpha. I'll see you sometime outside the territory, Wisp." She gave him a sympathetic look and continued until the border, stopping just short to see him leave before she trailed after Vandheer. She gazed after Whisper with a sorrowful glance before dipping her head and facing her pack with her tail against her legs.
