"Finally! I've been walking for daaaays."
The young wolf had set out on his venture promptly after walking away from the cave of Sheba, the new mark of the water power gleaming an icy blue against his white throat. He could have practiced this anywhere, he passed several ponds and smaller lakes on the way. But the stubborn youth had been determined to do it here. He'd always been told to be wary of this lake and it's deep waters, but if his powers proved true, he needn't fear any deep waters anyway. He'd definitely noticed on the snowy mountain that the cold had lost it's bite, but what if that was some sort of placebo effect? He had to test the validity of these so called magic wolves for himself, being the skeptical and often bullheaded young wolf that he was.
His tail wagged and he picked up speed as he approached the huge lake, the spring had settled over the lands now, and he knew that the only way this lake would freeze was by his own doing. It was the perfect test! He came to a sliding stop as he approached the water's edge, lifting a paw to place against the mark on his neck, "You better not have duped me, Sheba." He muttered as he lifted a paw, gingerly placing it against the water as he focused on nothing but the act of making the water freeze. His eyes lit up when he saw the water freeze, "Wicked." He put more weight on the ice to see how strong it was, gingerly lifting a second paw the the frozen sheet, then another, until he was standing on the ice flow just his size, "Yessss!"
After a few more minuted of ginger testing, the young wolf found himself gleefully prancing across the lake, laughing raucously and letting out uproarious whoops and hollers as he continued his ridiculous display. The racket he was making would surely disturb any wolf nearby, the thought of consequence, though, seemed thoroughly lost on the rowdy teen.
