Trintan, sighed smelling the air one more time before finally giving up on the chase of his prey. He heard a small thud then a squeak he whirled around and looked at where he had heard the squeak last, his ears shoved forward as he they now moved around. Listening to every noise beside his daughter. "Not now Leafa..." He said in a fatherly tone though he was annoyed to the stars right then. Leafa, was holding her breathe then she said in her sing song voice to her dad. "Whatcha doing dad..?" She tilted her head as she looked at her father's shocked expression. She grinned as she wagged her little tail and jumped landing near her father's big white paw only to have it raised up high before she could even get on it. James cursed under his breathe for losing track of his sister. He followed her scent for she did tend to leave it everywhere wherever she goes. "Sis!" He yipped as he ran towards her grabbing her by her scruff with an angry Huff he said. "Sorry dad... She snuk off on me..." He pulled his ever so, trying to fight back, sister back to the den quickly with ease. (@shiver)

Jess: Jess looked up, yawning. She sniffed around, still sleepy. Jess stood up, stretched, and bumped her nose into a wall. She shook her head and backed into one of her three brothers. She wasn't sure about who it was, until she landed on him. The sharp bones and loud "Oof!" told her it was Flint. "Sorry Flint! You where downwind of my nose." Jess stumbled away, tripping over stones and roots. Then she felt her nose connect with fur, and jumped.
Flint: Flint was woken up by his sister stepping over him and falling over him. Flint looked up, and got to his paws. He was so skinny from not getting enough to sustain him that he was a bag of bones. He could hunt just fine, with smaller things. He always let Jess eat her fill before he even touched anything he found. Flint ambled after his sister and stopped dead, and started a fierce growl at the wolves that sister had bumped into. If those two males hurt Jess, they had him to deal with.

Trintan, whirled around hearing he other males and female, his blind eyes looked at where he had heard him. He snarled showing his white teeth as he said crossly. "Why are those two near my home again.. And two more strangers?" His ears shoved forward as he heard his oldest pup come over to him growling at the new wolves. He twitched an ear as he got into a fighting stance his short stocky legs spread out. He snarled as he followed their scents and ended up standing near one of the males. He muttered something as he side stepped releaving a dead racoon that had taken him a full week to track down. He grabbed it and flung it at something hearing it hit a face as he shouted his blind eyes full of anger a bit annoyed as well. "Get the bloody dikins out of here! Honestly I gave you wolves a fare enough warning last time!" (Flint he was standing by him)

Flint: Flint growled at James. "Don't you dare hurt my sister! She was upwind of you, how could she have smelled you both?" Flint lowered his head, fire gold eyes glinting with a protectiveness of his sister that he would never give up. "If you wana keep your eye, I would suggest you back off from her!" his snarl loud and vary clear. He planted his fire red paws and lowerd his charcoal colored head.
Jess: Jess backed away, misted blue evergreen eyes darting around at the sounds of the growls. Afraid, she started slinking away. "Please, don't hurt him!" she yelped as her nose connected with James' leg by accident. She looked up terrified of the amount of growling.

He stepped in front of his son very gently pushing her away from him as he growled. "Don't challenge me boy... I may be blind I know how to fight a youngster like you." His white tail was raised as his white eyes somehow meet his. He pushed his son near a tree then growling he stopped and looked at where he had heard the female. His white eyes seemed to soften as he said. "Get out of here with your sister, boy... Before I change my mind." He turned around and let his son lead him to the dead racoon. He stopped and threw the racoon at where he had head the young male last his luckiness making him hit his mark. He grinned hearing it hit the young males face as he started to follow his son away from them to his daughter. (Ignore the fact that I changed the last post lol)

Flint: Flint flicked his ear. Youngster? he was thin, but he was hardly a pup! That had struck a nerve, a big one. The fact this wolf was blind, however, softened the blow. He looked around for Jess, but she was gone. Flint looked around frantically, where could she have gone?! Flint noticed a tuft of tan fur that had been snagged by a branch, and sniffed around in that area, finding Jess in a bush. "It's okay, we can go. I'll go find a rabbit, you must be hungry." he said softly so Jess would come out. Shooting a glance at James with a final growl of, "Don't follow us." he left Jess at a nearby crevice in a rock, and went rabbit hunting.
Jess: Jess had run off when the bigger white male started growling. She had hid in the bush, hoping that a fight wouldn't happen. She was happy that Flint found her, and led her to the home they had once shared with many others. It felt empty without Kodi, Toki, and Iallo. Jess bowed her head, as the wind changed direction. She perked up, smelling all three other wolves. Jess stood, wondering way to darky if they would consider this wall their's was well. She and Flint had lived here since they had been pups, no way could they kick them out. Still, the two where a bit too close for Jess to be happy about.

He layed down by his pups letting them eat first knowing that they were still growing and would need the food more then him, he sighed remberibf the time with his first litter and how he had lost them so easily now he was without Jenna. He sighed as he felt James nudge him he smiled and ate the rest of the meat. He felt his pups curl up in the crook of his belly as he layed his white tail over them both a small smile on his face. He kept his head up as he yawned and smelled the air he frowned as he shuffled around his pups that were still asleep as he moved around. He sighed as he watched they're very very very blurry figures, he didn't tell them that he was possibly going to die soon for a wolf was hunting him, and his pups down. He sighed once more as he got up letting them get comfortable without him again as he walked out of the den and followed the scent trail to the young males den, he paused outside it as he said very quietly. "I need to ask you to do a small favor..." He sat down just outside of the den waiting for an answer and also not going inside it for that would be intruding another wolfs den after all. He saw very, very, very blurry figures as he said a bit louder this time. "I need to ask you to do me a favor..." He paused then muttered very quietly his ears pinned back knowing that the Demon would come after him soon. "Please... It's about my pups..." His white eyes looked worried as he looked around his nose smelling the air around him, he growled as he caught a faint scent of the Demon. Demon, had been tracking him down for years since his first litter he knew that since Jenna was dead that she had most likely given birth to another litter of pups but how many? He thought as he followed Trintans scent with ease. He knew that he would try something... "He may even try to let someone take care of his second litter he is bound to know that I'm still after him.." He muttered as he continued to follow the scent of Trintan he didn't notice the fresh scent of two pups in a smallish very well hidden den. ((@pittypat ))

Jess: Jess poked her charcoal head out at the white male's words. Cocking her head, she edged out carefully. She was not stupid, but she was friendly and willing to help. "What can I help with? I'm Jess, if your looking for Flint, he went hunting." she said in a cheerful voice, Jess's way of putting on a brave face. She was scared by the male's tone. "I would be happy to watch them, er, as well as I can. Flint might have some objections, though." She said, recalling Flint and James' recent head bumping.
Jess perked up, smelling someone. It smelled like blood, like death. Jess backed up, evergreen blue eyes wide with fear that was greater then when the two families had butted heads. She looked right at where she thought Triton was, and said, "I'll look after them, if thats what you mean." she said, and slunk off into a bush, where she could smell everything but could not be smelled.

He looked around smelling the wolf once more as he growled in annoyance, getting to his paws quickly as he said to her quickly. "By the way... Thank you." He growled as he started towards the den with his pups in it as he nudged them up saying softly to them. "Listen to me... Ok? When I say run, run. understand?" leafa looked both annoyed and sad at this. "Alright pappa..." She muttered. James looked at her and sighed as he said to his father. "Sure, i'll watch her til you get back dad. I promise." Trintan: He grinned and said as he ruffled his sons, bangs on his head. "Alright then James... Just lettin you know, it may take me a while to come back to you guys... But I promise that I will come back to you." He finished his voice breaking a little at the last part as he whispered in their ears. "Run, run to a kind she-wolf... You should be able to smell her when you get near her." He went out the other side of the den bumping right into Demon. Demon: He looked at him startled then said sharply. "Watch where you're going blind wolf!" Trintan: He snarled something under his breath as he sunk his white teeth into Demon's shoulder then quickly let go hearing him curse as he started to run following the path that he knew from walking along it for years, his enemies breath at the back of his legs. leafa: She ran alongside her brother as she looked around stopping near a bush panting. Her brother panting, and out of breath beside her.

Jess:
Jess grabbed Leafa by the scruff, and pulled her into the bush. Then she poked her head out and hissed at James. "Get in here! Unless you want to be dead, from the smell of that wolf." Jess slipped back, and wrapped her tan tail around Leafa. "Don't worry, my brother will be back soon, he will keep you both well fed. I will help as best I can, but I have never been much of a hunter." she said 'looking' at James. "My name is Jess, I live with my brother Flint." she said. Her ears perked, but quickly relaxed.
"Do you two want to hear a story?" Jess asked. "A long time ago, there was a wolf. His name was Darkek, and this is his story: Darkek paced. He looked around, looking for something. Anything. Where was his mother? Why was she gone, and why had she said, "I'm not your true mother" before she left? Derkek stopped, wondering what has coused his mother to leave. The older wolves refused to tell him anything. They said he was far two young to understand where she had gone. Drekek was almost 7 months old, why didn't they consider him old enough!? He saw his bother, Maxx, in the den. Maxx was almost a year old. And unlike Derkek, was considered old enough to know where their mother had gone. He growled, thick red fur bristling. Drekek had plenty of white markings, but mainly he was red. Unlike Maxx, who was white with few red markings. Maxx came over, and said, "I need to tell you something, Derkek. They told me not to tell you, but you have to know." And his brother told him a secret. Their mother was not their true one. Maxx and Derkek were from another pack. Derkek stopped listing after his brother told him that their mother was not their real mother. How? Why? It did kinda make sence. She had never looked like either of the brothers. But then he launched a question. "If we were born in another pack, then why are we diffrent ages? Why didn't our real mother keep us?" Maxx considered this. "I don't know. But I do know where we can look." And he pointed to the mountain. Derkek shivered a little. The mountain of The White Wolves. "They told me they found us at the base." Jess finished the first part.

James: He looked around for his sister seeing the she-wolf look out from the bush hissing at him to hide with her. He growled as he stumbled through the bush, and sat by his sister listening to her, as he kept looking around for his father, barely listening to Jess as she told the story to them...
leafa: She had yelped a little bit taken by surprise from the she-wolf's grip, and yank. She looked around for her brother, and maybe even her father was here? No... He couldn't of been, so why did he put us in their paws, instead of raising us like he said, and promised that he would? She finished the thought as she listened to her story, her head tilted to the side now. She muttered something to her brother as she looked at Jess. "Umm... Jess, where is out dad?" She asked her slowly, and carefully afraid of the answer that she was going to get.
Trintan: He snarled as he finally kicked Demon off him as he growled to him. "You're not getting my pups... EVER AGAIN!" He leaped to the side rolling down a hill, his head smacking against a rock as he got up shaking his head as he smelled the air. He heard a twig snap as he growled and ran away at full speed not caring if he hit anything, or anyone in his path as he continued to lead Demon away from his pups.
Demon: He snarled something under his breath as he heard what Trintan growled at him. He saw him roll down a hill, hit his head against a rock, shake his head, then continue to run away from him. He growled and speed down after him, hot on his trail... ~~~~Exit Demon and Trintan~~~~ ((No Trintan does not die ))

Jess: Jess looked down. "I'm afraid I don't know." She lowered her head, evergreen blue eyes seemingly staring at her paws. She started telling the rest of the story, somewhat to herself. It was like what had happened to Kodi. How he had died trying to find their mother and father.
Derek growled in displeasure. Maxx was sapposed to meet him here 15 minuits ago! Derkek was a full year old now. His fur had grown out into fire-like patterns. His eyes, once more of a oreange color, were now a firey gold. He was also taller. Much taller then Maxx. Derkek got stuck in a wonder cycal of how this came to be when Maxx showed up. With a brife growl from Derkek, the two set off. At this Jess paused, then continued. They walked for a good few days. Derkek seeming to never tire, so full of young streangth and power. Maxx a little ways behind. He kept his nore in the air, trying to detect if they were being followed. Maxx had a good nose for this kind of thing, but he tired more easily. Again, this puzzled Derkek. He passed the time by pondering this. Maxx was older, why did he tire so easy? The fith day, they made it to the base of White Wolf Mountain. Derkek looked up, and wondered a few things. But the biggest thing was, Was his mother up there?"

((I hope it's still okay if Illao joins in. So sorry I never ended up replying earlier. I had a major drop in muse.))
Illao:
White paws led a red she-wolf towards the ruins. It had once felt like home, but that had proved less and less true as time wore on and Illao grew restless. She was full of missing. She missed her parents and her sisters whose faces seemed so faded and distant. She missed King and Shikoba who'd disappeared somewhere along the road. She missed Kodi and Toki who'd also disappeared though Illao suspected that they'd gone to search for others who were lost. Only Flint and Jess remained, yet some hope also remained. Illao had to believe that she'd see everyone she cared for again or risk collapsing inward into her despair. With hope, she stayed happy and, of course, talking.
Illao had taken to roaming the forest around the ruins. It satisfied her urges to leave in an attempt to find everyone she missed despite the knowledge thay she'd never have much of a chance of finding anyone with such a small search radius. Illao was currently returning from her latest exploration which had lasted a couple days as most did. She gripped a fat pheasant in her jaws from a hunt she'd conducted during the small journey. Food was always needed to curb the hunger shared between the three young wolves occupying the ruins. Illao had already eaten a small meal during her time of roaming, so the pheasant was intended for Flint and Jess.
Voices resonated from the ruins as Illao neared the edge of the ruins. Several unfamiliar voices caused her to pause before stepping into the clearing that contained the mysterious stone shelters. Flint and Jess were speaking, but it seemed that they were conversing with a stranger. Illao strained her ears to catch the words exchanged. Cautious not to run blindly into the situation. Illao skirted around the edge of the ruins. Spotting a series on squarish stones that could act as a large staircase. Illao darted into the open and leaped up the stones until she reached the top. She balanced on the half eroded rock, easily. Crouching to lessen the chance of some unwelcome eyes spotting her, Illao peered over the edge of the stone ruin she perched atop into where Flint, Jess, and she tended to spend most of their time. She noticed Flint's red form disappearing between the trees. Then a vicious snarling drew her green eyes to two battling males. Illao frantically scanned for Jess, immediately worried. Movement drew her eye to two pups making a beeline for a bush where Jess crouch among the leaves. The pups reached the bush and Jess pulled them into the hiding spot. Sighing with relief, Illao turned her gaze back to the fighting wolves, one of which fled from the other and out of the ruins. After listening and watching for a second to make sure the warriors were truly gone, Illao glanced at Jess. She wanted to leap down and lead Jess and the two pups to a more secure hiding spot, but by the time Illao reached them, the males might've returned.
So, Illao did the only natural solution, she sent her thoughts to Jess, telepathically. Her eye-shaped power mark seemed to glow dimly into existence, through really it'd been there there the entire time, as Illao gathered her thoughts and shot them towards Jess's mind. "Jess? Jess, are you alright? Wait, you'll have to tell me later. I can't hear you anyways. It's me, Illao. I'm on top of the ruins right now, but I wish I could be down there to help. You should probably find a better place to hide than that bush. That won't provide much protection once, or if, those males come back. Here I'll guide you to a safer spot. There's a stone shelter entrance to the front and slightly left of you about 12 paces forward. It has kinda a low ceiling though so you'll need to duck or you'll hit your head. It looks like you could crawl to the right after getting inside to be completely hidden. I'll find a way down and join you there. Make sure those two pups stay with you. Little pups like them seem the type to wander off or go exploring no matter the danger." The last sentence was thought with some regret as Illao recalled how she'd ran away and never found her way back. Dismissing her memories of the past, Illao focused on Jess to make sure she had heard Illao's telepathic speech and was headed in the right direction.

((No it's fine Rykett! )) James looked at Jess then sighed as he shook his head, and layed his head down by his paws as he stifled a low growl. But he continued to listen to the story anyways. His ears perked at hearing the growling then running. He sighed inwardly and continued to listen to her story. Leafa looked at Jess her eyes bright and curious once more as she looked around, her ears perked as she heard a fight skirmish then some running then nothing... She sighed and continued to listen to her story, her tail wagging in excitement as she looked at Jess.

Jess: Jess perked up, hearing Iallo's telepathic speech. Jess nodded, and got up. "Come, follow me." she said, and followed Iallo's instructions. She found the crag, and ducked her head. Iallo was right, it was a tight fit for her. She looked back, her ears working hard to see if the pups had followed her. She flicked her tail, and looked back. She looked around, and said, "Iallo, is Flint back yet?" Jess was worried about loosing another brother, but she had those pups to think of. She looked back at the pups, and said, "Don't go wandering off, it's too dangerous out there right now."
Flint: Flint trotted back with a squirrel, a chipmunk, and a second squirrel. He was vary good at catching squirrels as he could jump quite well. Flint was hoping to surprise Jess with this feast until he saw Jess's tail disappear into a bush. He watched her grab the young pup from the other family. Flint was confused, but he was far enough away they couldn't see him. He watched the two males, as they started running. Flint looked back at Jess, and noticed Iallo. He blushed under his fur, as her powermark glowed like a third eye and watched Jess leave the bush. At this Flint came out, still carrying the catch.
