Sigma:
Blue ears swiveled to catch every word of the order directed towards her. Keep the buck on track. Easy, right? Sigma let out a low growl and ran up between the buck and Blaise. She snapped at the buck’s flank hoping to push it back on the planned path. Hooves kicked up a thick cloud of dust around the buck. Sigma coughed, perhaps she’d gotten a bit too close. She could hear the buck’s labored breath as it ran for its life. Sigma backed off a little and hopefully out of the kicking range. She hoped that her efforts were enough to send the buck straight towards Epsilon and Helios.
.::The does and their fawns have been successfully separated from the buck and now flee wildly away. Sigma’s shepherding attempt is also successfully, but not without the deer bucking, angry and scared. One hoof catches Sigma in the side and sends her tumbling in the buck’s dust. The wound is not serious but is quite painful. The buck now runs straight towards Epsilon and Helios. It will be upon them any second now!::.
Blaise:
The alphess sent a triumphant bark after the doe and fawn that she’d sent running. She turned her attention back toward the target deer just in time to see a blue form sent head over heels by a kick to the side. ”Sigma!” Blaise cried. She galloped toward the downed she-wolf but kept her eyes on the buck thundering towards Epsilon and Helios. ”Epsilon, Helios, it’s coming straight for you! Be ready to attack!”
Blaise reached her member’s side. She bent over the blue female. The wound didn’t look pretty, but Blaise knew little about how to gauge the severity of injuries. ”Are you alright? We could take you to White Magic.” Blaise glanced up towards the deer to see how Epsilon and Helios were getting on. What if it was too much for two wolves to handle? "Ramone, Tear, be ready to help them if needed!"

Tear:
She and Ramone wove together though the sea of grasses and the flying hooves of fleeing prey - he snapped at the heels of one who gave an anxious bleat and hurried away, white tail bobbing and waving madly. Her sharp brown ear flicked and her head shot around at the sound of hooves on flesh - Sigma's slender form went flying through the air and tumbling into the dust and Blaise rushed over to check the wound. The gammess's head came up and ears perked anxiously in slight concern for a pack member, but Blaise now instructed them to be ready to help the strike team. The buck was scared and angry and running madly now - right for where they lay in wait.
Epsilon:
"Steady..." - the warning was almost as much for himself as it was for young Helios. The buck was running blind now, almost out of control right into their claws. The blood-rage started rising behind his eyes and instinct reverberated though his very being. "Just a little closer," the buck needed to come a little closer...
Now!
Another slight nod to Helios before the savage hunting call rose up in his throat and announced him to the prey before them. The massive he-wolf sprang up out of the grasses and his teeth reached for a hold on the side of the neck. "Go for the sides - the hooves will get you from front and behind: the sides are your best bet: smaller, harder to reach, but more vulnerable." Helios looked quick and intelligent - hopefully he'd follow up on his lead: the weight of two wolves and that much blood gushing, the stag should come down fairly easily.

Ramone: The lithe male gave a sharp yip in response to Blaise before nodding to his mate. He would have to check in that new shewolf after the hunt concluded, while he did t know her that well, she was still a pack mate, still family. The two gamma's rushed up behind the Buck and the raccoon-like male lunged forward to latch onto its large flank. Hopefully he would gain purchase at the top of the rump, that way the only thing the beast could manage to kick would be his back legs or belly. Which he was hoping to quickly maneuver out of harms way to the side of the thundering bull. His tangerine eyes narrowed as he made the leap, his long legs springing him upwards and forwards.
Helios: The pup nearly exploded from Peng up tension, taking Epsilons words very seriously. The older male surely was a great Hunter, otherwise Alphess Blaise wouldn't have placed him as them sun attack force. The handsome young male suddenly received his cue. Muscles snapped into action like a cell oiled machine. Lunging forwards Helios finally got a good look at the prey item. The bulk was huge, muscles rolling under the smooth brown pelt, antlers like the ancient branches of the Adoette tree, eyes ringed in white and nose puffing out huge breaths that would've been smoky clouds of steam if it were winter. Fear suddenly grasped his heart, causing his legs to cramp as his breath hitched. The young male stumbled slightly before getting a hold of himself. He watched Epsilon leap and mimicked his movements. Adrenaline coursed through his hot look as he attacked he leaped, his timing slightly off. He aimed for the base of the shoulder, right where the leg was working from there he could stop its strong yet frantic flight.

Sigma:
Pain ricocheted through Sigma as the hoof hit her. She let out an involuntary gasp with the harsh impact. The ground rushed up to meet her as the female was sent flying. She tumbled to the dirt. The pain didn’t hit her immediately. She blinked at the vertical horizon, disoriented. Her ears rang as a face came into focus and the words spoken by Blaise registered. Sigma winced and groaned. She craned her neck to catch a glimpse of her injury. Her head flopped back to the ground and she panted for a second before she attempted to get to her feet. Once on her paws, she swayed unbalanced, but steadied herself with a slight shake of her head. The pain was starting to fade a little, but the wound still stung fiercely. "I think I'll be okay," the female responded with a fair bit of uncertainty.
.::Epsilon's attack is successful and his teeth sink deep into the side of the buck's neck. Ramone's attack is also successful and he latches onto the buck's flank. Helios's attack is less successful. Instead of biting the lower shoulder, his jaws grip the leg. As a result of the wolves' attacks, the buck stumbles considerable. It's able to wretch its leg away from Helios. It attempts to send a kick Helios’s way, but misses. The movement required to free its leg causes the buck to completely lose its balance and tumble to the ground. It will arise shortly if not attacked again quickly.::.
Blaise:
Blaise turned away from the action of the hunt to respond to Sigma. The female was on her feet. Though she said she was okay, Blaise could hear uncertainty in her voice. Deciding to have a more experienced healer take a look at the wound later, the alphess spoke, ”Alright. But if it gets worse or anything, we’ll take you to White Magic right away.” Blaise returned her purple gaze back to the buck and her wolves.
Epsilon, with Helios a second after, attacked. Both got a hold on the deer. Helios’s position looked dangerous, though. The legs of a buck were hard to grip since there was little meat on them. The buck could easily free its leg and deliver a kick to the young male. Ramone leaped into action as well. His extra weight helped send the buck stumbling and probably saved his son from the powerful kick that the buck had tried as it freed its leg. Instead the buck crashed into the dirt. Its antlers carving miniature canyons into the earth. Now all they had to do was deliver the final attack. The hunt was as good as won.
Blaise started towards the jumble of wolves and prey at a slow trot so Sigma could keep up without too much trouble. Even if she ran, she wouldn’t arrive in time to help kill the buck. She’d leave that up to the wolves at the scene. If none of the wolves that’d attacked the buck were in a position to do it, Tear was nearby, ready to aid. Blaise trusted her wolves to finish the job.

Tear:
Ramone and Helios followed shortly after Epsilon took the first lunge. They all got a hold but Helios's did not look at stable as the hold the other two had and she felt some concern welling up in her. She was slightly behind the strike team and ready to come in if they required extra help, but they looked about ready to end the hunt. As far as she was concerned they'd already won.
Ramone's extra weight knocked the stag over and thankfully knocked him out of a position to kick out at Helios. Was it still moving? The gammess slunk up closer and growled, ready to pounce if necessary.
Epsilon:
It wouldn't be necessary. The giant silver male lunged away as Ramone knocked the buck down in time to not get crushed. He turned on his heel, teeth bared, eyes slit and ran at a crouch for the throat - a massive throat guarded by huge horns, but with with the stag on his side and his rack dragging he could only move so far, and there was a very distinct open window where the rack could not reach and where teeth would. So he wound through the maze of points as the buck struggled from its fall and deftly reached for the unguarded jugular.

Helios: Fear flashed through the young wolf's mind as Helios' grip slid down to the fearsome bucks leg. However his fear was soon replaced by determination and confidence. The buck was swiftly falling, Helios going with it. The handsome hewolf loosened his grip and gained his footing before lunging for the fallen beasts shoulder. Maybe he could hold it down while Epsilon went in for the kill. In the sun his gold, brown and tan pelt gleaming glassily, too bad no younger females were here to see his first hunt....
Ramone: Excitement pulsed through his lean body, thrusting adrenaline under his skin like veins of fire. Ramone panted as he came to a halt, his quick movements from previous maneuvers catching up to him. His tangerine pupils were small like pin prick in the blazing sun above. He was suddenly thankful for the sprawling canopy of the secluded groves that he and his pack called home. His pack. It was growing, ranks being rearranged shortly. They had nearly killed this buck together, this huge, magnificent stag. It's antlers branching like the generations to come. Ramone gazed on, poised to attack again if his grip was loosened.

Sigma:
Sigma followed as Blaise trotted towards the rest of the pack. She caught action of the pack. Part of her wished to be in the thick of it, delivering the killing bite as Epsilon was. The other part was aching with the pain from the kick and didn’t want anything to do with the hunt. Sigma settled somewhere in between the two contrasting feelings as she neared the felled buck; ecstatic that the hunt was over and content with the success. She managed a smile at her fellow packmates despite the throbbing wound in her side.
.::The buck thrashes as it falls. A tip of an antler scraps along Epsilon’s cheek causing a shallow gash that will heal easily but will scar. The scar will easily be covered by his fur though. Despite the buck’s miniscule victory, Epsilon gains a tight grip on the elk’s neck, tearing the jugular. The buck soon becomes limp in his grasp as it bleeds out and dies!::.
Blaise:
The alphess reached her pack as Epsilon made the killing bite. The buck head flopped to the ground shortly after. Between the branch-like antlers, Blaise noticed a cut on Epsilon’s cheek. One antler must have graze him as he drove in for the kill. ”Well done, everyone,” she praised with a smile. ”We’ll eat our fill and bring the rest as much as we can carry back for those that didn’t participate.” As was the natural order in wolf packs, Blaise, as the alphess, would eat first. Since there were no betas present, the gammas would eat next. Finally the subordinates and pups would eat. There should still be plenty left for the rest of the pack.
Blaise dug into the rich meal. She’d been a lone wolf most of her early life. Only recently had she joined Secluded Sunrise as it’d formed. To her surprise, she’d been elected the alphess. This was their first hunt as a pack. Blaise couldn’t remember when she’d last eaten elk, if ever. It was delicious, nutrient-filled meat whose taste Blaise wouldn’t soon forget. She licked her lips as her belly filled then stepped aside as to let the other wolves eat as well.

Tear:
As the life seeped out of the elk she gave Helios a gentle nudge with her nose. "Good job Buddy," it had been his first hunt and he'd done kept a pretty cool head and had helped where he could. She was proud of him - frustrated of course because he was growing up too darned fast, but proud. Blaise stepped forward and congratulated the rest of the hunters on their work and Tear shot a smile over to Ramone. "She's talking about you," her small, somewhat flirtatious smile at her mate teased, but she was proud of him, proud of the pack they'd become and how they'd continue to grow. After Blaise took her fill she stepped forward with Ramone to take theirs as well.
Epsilon:
The buck's rack did jerk up at the last minute and cut into his cheek. Warm, red lifeblood began to show and he winced slightly, but the cut was superficial, the most he'd get from it was a scar and even that might not show with how thick his coat was.
Alphess Blaise looked around the gathering and praised everyone for their effort and success. He looked over at Helios beside his mother and across from his father and smiled and nodded slightly. He'd done well, and he'd look forward to working with him some more. As Blaise continued talking he continued looking around the group. Laid back, everyone from different circumstances and they each had different talents and various places in the pack, but they worked well together. The sun was only still rising in the life of the Secluded Sunrise pack, and before their time ended they would first Triumph.

Ramone: The black raccoon marked gamma smiled back at his mate, cheek fur fluffing up in embarrassment. Blaise had congratulated them both! The whole pack! He lashed his tail proudly as Blaise took her share. Then he politely guided his mate to the kill, bumping her shoulder. "Couldn't a done it without you." He whispered before taking some meat from the neck and shoulder.
Helios: The small wolf stared at the kill, mouth watering as he watched Alphess Blaise eat, then his parents. His tail wagged happily and he looked up to catch Epsilons eye. While he hadn't seen him around much, the grey male was quite a nice wolf. He then turned to survey the rest of the group. He saw Sigma amongst them. Didn't she get hurt? He furrowed his eye brows, perhaps giving her a looking over. His scrutinizing glare left her as it became their turn to eat.

Sigma:Sigma caught Helios's gaze on her as they awaited their turn to eat. She shifted uneasily as he scrutinized her with almost glaring orange eyes. He probably was just concerned. She had gotten wounded after all. Or perhaps he thought that she should've done more to help the hunt. What else could she have done? By the time she'd gotten up from her injury, the elk had galloped top far away for her to aid in the final struggle. None of the other wolves were looking at her funny, so Sigma decided that the yearling must just be worried. As the gammas finished and backed away, Helios took his gaze from her to focus on the food. Sigma also padded forward to eat her fill. She dug into the meat. The most delectable pieces of meat had been claimed by the higher ranked wolves, but Sigma had no complaints. There was more than enough delicious flesh left for the rest of the pack. Sigma swallowed a final bite before moving away from the kill. She inspected her wound again before they would begin the journey home. The pain had died down with the bleeding though the blue fur surrounding the area was violet with the blood she'd lost. Sigma hoped it wasn't too bad, but a good wash of the wound should help her determine what needed to be done in order for it to heal. Blaise:Blaise waited patiently for her pack to eat. As she waited, she considered the members and what ranks she might assign to the unranked. Both Epsilon and Sigma had hunted admirably and of course would be given ranks. Helios would need to be assigned a trainer. He was obviously ready for one. Since Helios was reaching this age, his siblings would also need trainers of their own. The only problem was that there were few ranked wolves currently prepared to receive trainees. Hopefully, Sigma and Epsilon's advancements would open up new options. Though both would be very new to whatever position they received, so perhaps it wouldn't be the best time to give trainees to them. Blaise sighed, frustrated with herself that she'd delayed the promotion of her members long enough that this was a problem. She'd have to find some way to work it out. In the meantime, though, the pack seemed to be finishing their meal. The alphess paused for a couple more seconds as they took their final bites and padded a couple steps away from the carcass. Crows circled above the grasslands, eager to scavenge strips of meat off the bones left behind. "Grab what you can and we'll be on our way back to Sapling Grove." Blaise locked her on a leg and tugged until it tore off at the shoulder. She hefted the piece, readjusting her grip for a long lope back to their territory. Fierfly@shiver

Tear:
"And I couldn't have done it without you," she whispered back before plunging in to her share of the kill. As she and Ramone finished eating the omegas of the pack stepped forward to take their share. They'd all done pretty well, definitely a good group of wolves to work with. Blaise had her paws full assigning new ranks. Epsilon: he seemed nice enough, cryptic and quiet but he'd hunted well and had led Helios on his first pack hunt (which he'd aced), an excellent hunter or trainer. Sigma had hunted decently as well, she seemed quick and intelligent. Helios had done very well with his first target larger than himself. Quick, observant, understanding what needed to be done and where he needed to be, he was going to be a good hunter someday. She startled slightly as that "someday" was growing closer everyday as he aged and grew into a respectable young adult of the pack.
Blaise called for everyone to grab a side of venison and haul it off back to the Clearing. She stepped forward again and dragged away a hunk from the shoulder and nosed it over where her teeth would have a better grip on the slippery meat. Looking around the group she suddenly remembered Chance and gave a short bark for him to follow and then turned and prepared for the run.
Epsilon:
The gammas finished and the omegas stepped forward. He swallowed a few mouthfulls of the kill, but he wasn't really hungry, so he just ate slowly and chanced a few looks around. The alphess was surveying the pack with that familiar pucker of consternation on her brow as she thought and worried, about what he wasn't sure, nor did he know if he wanted to know what she was worrying about - an alpha's job was a heavy one. The gammas surveyed the kill or young Helios with a note of pride for their cub - hardly a cub anymore, Helios was nearly grown and was going to be a strong addition to the pack. He glanced also at the blue-hued she-wolf opposite him. Sigma wasn't it? She'd been wounded, well...he had been too if you wanted to be technical, but neither appeared any worse for wear, Sigma's wound looked fairly superficial and the cut was at a good angle. She might limp now and then from the pain as it healed but hopefully there would be no permanent side-effects.
Alphess Blaise called for departure and he locked his teeth into one of the ribs. It took one swift tug before it separated from the rest of the rib cage and he had the prize safely in his grip. He was ready to head back home.

(Sorry it's going to be short just so we can move on with the plots)
Ramone: The black wolf shook out his tail and stretched his legs before padding forward to join Blaise. This pack had come so far, they are hunting together like the family they were. When they reached home, they would share with those who hadn't participated, and then Blaise would begin to move wolves into their appropriate niches within the pack structure. Ramone's dream had truly been realized, such a pack would last for the longest time, and perhaps become legendary.
Helios: The golden pup shrugged, finishing his meal before tearing off meat from the back. It was a little tough to separate from the bones but he succeeded in time. Hoisting the filet up he padded over to stand beside Epsilon. Helios had found a new friend in the pack, albeit mysterious and quiet, but wise. Maybe he could teach him some more.

Sigma:
The she-wolf dutifully followed her alphess’s instruction and grasped some of the haunch meat. She tugged, struggling the remove a large chunk of the meat. It ripped off and Sigma nearly lost her grip on the food. She readjusted her grip to avoid dropping the meat on the ground. Straightening, she followed Ramone as he began to exit the hunting plains. Despite her limp, she was able to keep a couple paces behind the Gamma and his son.
-Exit Sigma-
Blaise:
The alphess fell into step beside her Gamma as he began to depart. Today had been a successful hunt. Only one wolf had gotten injured and they’d taken down large prey. There would be plenty of food for the rest of the pack. With the conclusion of this hunt, Blaise felt as though Secluded Sunrise had finally settled within their home. Their population was abounding with new members and there was an abundance of food. Now all that needed to be done for Blaise to consider Secluded Sunrise fully thriving was the promotion of her members. The ranks she’d created needed to be filled. Every wolf need responsibilities, so the pack wouldn’t fall into disrepair due to lack of work. Blaise would immediately start promote once they reached home, starting with Epsilon.

Tear:
Chance bounded up to her and snatched a stray chunk of the meat to bring home along with the hunters. He hadn't participated, but he'd observed, that would go a long way towards learning too and it would help him provide at a future date. She fell in with the runners and started for home.
-Exit Tear-
Epsilon:
Everyone took a piece of meet and started the run for home. He hesitated a moment after everyone else started working their lopes up into something faster. This pack, this hunt. He'd used to do this, when he was home. Could he call this home as well?
Yes.
He fell in with the others and strong silver legs propelled him for home.
-Exit Epsilon-
