Blood@spiriaaurina Ouranos: It was a lazy autumn day. Ouranos and his siblings were sleeping in a pile all morning after a long journey to the valley. He opened his eyes lazily, blinking in the light. He had slept well, and was refreshed and ready to keep on journeying through the valley. He slipped out of the pile, carefully sliding out from under Khoine's paw and tail. If he woke her up, she would be furious. The large blue male trotted into a spot where the lattice of leaves did not cover the sky. The sun was already high above the blue horizon. The siblings were way behind schedule. Ouranos bounded back over to the pile of sleeping wolves. "Rise and shine, brothers and sisters! We need to keep moving!"Khoine: The resting female felt a large lump of fur move out from under her tail and hind legs. She continued pretending to sleep, knowing that Ouranos would wake them up. He always did. Khoine gave an irritated moan when she heard her brother's voice. "Why Ouranos?" she complained, "It's not like we're in a hurry to be anywhere!"Ouranos: "We've slept long enough. Laziness won't get us anywhere, Khoine!" Ouranos proclaimed to the pile. It was time for a head count. He looked at them and mumbled to himself their name followed by a number. Me, 1; Khoine, 2; Nox, 3; Hemera......Hemera? "Where's Hemera?"Khoine: The icy she wolf could care less. She just wanted to continue her long nap. "Why, she probably got eaten by a bear in the middle of the night!" Khoine said sarcastically, sure that Hemera was probably off hunting. Ouranos: A bear!? Oh no! She couldn't have been eaten by a bear, could she have? "Khoine, th-that is highly unlikely," Ouranos said taking her joke completely seriously. Hemera might be dead and it was all his fault! He shouldn't have slept in!

Ares grumbled slightly as he heard them but he said nothing curing his mmuzzle into his fox pelt cape. He opened one blood red eyes for a moment before he grunted and flicked a deep red ear and stood slowly giving a stretch"what is going on all great leader?"he asked with a slight sarcastic tone. He looked down to Nox starry night pelt and stepped on her tail. Whether it was on purpose or not he didn't care. Nox had growled when he did and snapped at his paws as she was desturbed. She sat up slowly and rolled her shoulder before she looked around."where is Hemera?"
Meanwhile the sunset pelted she wolf was already making her way back. It was late yes but she figured not too late. She only just returned from the Forest of love a smile on her face. As she saw her siblings She blink. Oh no,she thought. I hope I'm not in trouble for leaving, she thought. She padded over with a hare as it was compensation for her disappearance."hey I'm right here"she said smiling some but it was out because she was happier than usual.

Ouranos: Off in the distance was a pink and orange she wolf. "I'm right here." "Hemera!" he called to her, relief sweeping over him. "Next time you go hunting in the morning, wake me up. I thought something terrible happened to you!"
Khoine: "Not me," she said, "Don't wake me up! I'm fine with you going on morning hunting trips." It would be nice having Hemera gone all morning. Her enthusiasm was rather annoying at times. She was always cheerful and optimistic, assuming everything was just dandy and everyone enjoyed her company. Khoine actually enjoyed being alone most of the time. Other than Nox, she didn't like other wolves. Nox was quiet. She didn't talk to Khoine or annoy her, and most of the time they had similar points of view.
Ouranos: He bounded over to his sister. She was the youngest. She needed the most protecting. As he approached Hemera, getting ready to affectionately nudge her side, he smelled a unique scent on her. It wasn't the rabbit in her mouth, it was another wolf. A male wolf. "Did you meet anyone while you were away, Sis?"

Hemera blinked pausing for a moment before she rolled her eyes smiling. She set the hare down."I wasn't hurt and besides big brother you were sleeping I thought you needed the rest"She said smiling some. She flicked her orange tail happily before she paused in thought. She remembered she didn't was the scent of her mate off of her. She paused before she got slightly nervous as he brother came over. She tensed some as he asked about her running into anyone else."I...I'm just passed a male a little while back..."She lies somewhat. She was afraid to tell her older brother. He was always so protective of her She wasn't sure how he would act about her having a mate so fast.it was obvious though that she had given a small lie.

Ouranos: "Did he hurt you?" was Ouranos' first question. Hemera seemed fine, more than fine, actually, happier even. Something told Ouranos that Hemera had been attracted to this strange male. "I wanna meet him."
Khoine: The white she wolf snorted. "Oh, please," Khoine said. Ouranos was always way too protective of all of them. Khoine hadn't a shard of doubt in her mind that Hemera had been at least flirting with the other male, or worse, that was obvious, but she didn't see why it was such a big deal. They were all adults now, and ready to look for mates. If only Khoine's siblings listened to her. If Ouranos was not so noble and heroic and protective, Khoine would be the leader and life would be much more rich for her siblings.

Hemera blinked as she looked at her brother Ouranos."no he didn't hurt me"She said after a moment. She was quiet as he said he wanted to meet him"what...do you mean"she said her smile faltering some as she flicked her tail nervously. She didn't think he would ask that. She looked at him.
Ares flicked his ear"wjats this I hear about another wolf"He spoke standing muscles rippling under his pelt. He always wanted to start a fight. He loves fight starting them and causing them.
Nox flicked her tail"oh hush it Ares we all know you'll want to start a fight with him"She said before she snapped at him again mailing him on the shoulder.

Ouranos: Maybe the protective he wolf had been mistaken. Perhaps Hemera really wasn't falling in love. Perhaps it was just a quick friendly encounter. Only one way to find out. "Hemera, I'd really like to meet him, if that's okay," Ouranos repeated slightly softer than he spoke before. "Why don't you take me to him."
Khoine: "Ouranos, is that really necessary?" Khoine said sassily. "Why don't you just let Hemera live out her own life?" If the strange wolf was a potential mate, Hemera might start a family and leave the group. Wouldn't that be something? Then once she got rid of Ouranos, that would leave Nox, Ares, and Zeus to blindly follow her (well Nox wouldn't be blind. She would follow Khoine out of her own will).
Ouranos: Hemera's protective brother was determined to meet her new "friend." Ouranos dismissed what Khoine said without even processing her words. She was sassy and utterly rude sometimes. Her comments were not helpful or productive in any way to the group, so why bother listening anymore? So you can make a snarky come back, is something Ares would probably say, constantly encouraging quarrels and violence. "Khoine, why don't you be in charge while I'm gone."
Khoine: Yes! Power! Hemera and Ouranos will be gone and I will prove to the group that I am an excellent leader way better than Ouranos!
Ouranos: The blue male stared at Khoine's mischievous grin in disappointment. He turned back to Hemera. "Actually, why don't you bring him here?"
Khoine: "No no no! You two go! We'll be fine! I'll make sure they don't get into any trouble! Just go!" Khoine pleaded. She saw Ouranos' eyes roll. He never rolled his eyes at anyone but her! It was completely unfair!

Hemera blinked hesitant, she knew she could avoid it. She flicked her ears back for a moment before she looked to where she had come from. Nervous for a moment before she knew Volka had said when she was ready for him to come over just to howl. Though why was it so hard to do that her nerves maybe. Hesitantly she lifted her head back letting out a short howl one of which was to call her mate. She knew he would come or she hoped he would. After she finished her short howl she sat down slowly her orange tail wrapped around her paws the hairs on her tail stood on end. It only did that when she was extremely nervous. Sheds t waiting on Volka.
Ooc ok so nevermind on ragging I'll send her the link

Zeus:
Zeus had been apart from his siblings during the night, and had curled up to sleep further away under the outstretched branches of a huge redwood tree. Now the sun had risen, and he had spent the early morning hour laying atop a large flat boulder watching the sunrise. His thoughts going over the past, and the journey him and his siblings were taking, as bright pastel colors painted the sky and lit the earth with newness. A few birds flew overhead and sang their morning song, but Zeus' ear flicked to a more familiar sound of his sibling's voices. The gray pelted male lifted his body from the stone surface and brought himself to his full height, his large maw opened in a huge toothy yawn. With a slow shake of his neck fur, Zeus ambled off of the boulder and through the woods to where his siblings were.
Ouranos, Khoine, Nox, and Ares were all there, laying on top of each other, but Hemera was not among them. Right away Ouranos got in a huge frenzy about Hemera gone missing, and of course Khoine didn't help with Ouranos' anxiety. With a lift of his brow, Zeus entered the clearing, but kept near shadows of the trees, he worried about his youngest sister's safety, but wasn't going to get all panicky about it. She could take care of herself, and if anything, he would go out and look for her. 'Why wouldn't you just do that Ouranos, instead of fretting about it like a helpless pup.' Zeus thought as he listened to the two argue.
Suddenly Hemera re-entered the clearing with a dead prey in her mouth. Her sweet voice called out in reassurance, and Zeus lifted his head and crept over to where Ouranos had already met her. He ignored his other siblings and spoke only to the small she-wolf with his low thundering voice, "Good morning Hemera." The comment was not responded to, as Ouranos had asked a more important question. Which went off on Hemera answering with hesitation about meeting another wolf. Zeus had noticed something about his sister as he stood a bit further behind Ouranos, watching the flicker in the she-wolf's multi-rimmed eyes. Her scent had come to him, and it smelt awfully suspicious. A wolf doesn't obtain a completely different scent just by brushing past anther wolf, unless this "male" brushed her a bit too hard. Black rimmed ears flattened against Zeus' silky neck fur as he narrowed his gaze towards his little sister. What had she been doing, and where did she get that rabbit, she usually wasn't the one to do the hunting.
Ignoring his other siblings comments, Zeus relaxed his strongly suspicious expression, and softened it a bit as he rumbled out the question, "Is this male wolf near by?" The young she-wolf blinked at him and Ouranos and hesitated yet again before sending a soft but clear howl into the air. Zeus directed his gaze past the small female and behind her into the tree line where he expected to see a wolf come forth.

Volka:
Volka fidgeted as he awaited Hemera's howl. He'd sent her ahead with a rabbit and a quick nose touch. He could almost smell her nervousness. He'd told her he'd be there in a second if she howled for him. He watched from the distant depths of the forest as Hemera greeted her siblings. One seemed extra concerned for Hemera for he bounded towards her as she approached. That must be Ouranos. They conversed, but Volka couldn't catch their words. Her other siblings were not quite as eager to make sure Hemera as Ouranos was. One stormy grey one did seem more interested than the others, through. Volka tried to find Ares as well, but he couldn't be sure until the wolf either started the fight Hemera had warned he would or Hemera introduced him to Volka.
Hemera's howl rose into the air and Volka pushed himself towards the group of siblings in a lope. He put on his roguish smile to hide his nervousness. These wolves might not take too kindly to a stranger mating with their sister and joining their group, especially Ouranos. But Volka felt like he could convince the other male of his "sincerity." Still Ouranos made him nervous. At least with Ares, Volka knew what was coming. He slowed to stop beside Hemera. "Hello. Name's Volka," he introduced himself refusing to let his roguish smile waver. His ice blue eyes flicked over Hemera's siblings. A lighter colored one was scowling at Ouranos. A dark blue one and brown and red one stood to the side, watching. The storm colored one was awaiting Volka's arrival. His eyes drilled into Volka. Ouranos's attention was on Hemera, but certainly Volka's arrival would draw it. The storm one and Ouranos seemed the ones that'd be more difficult to separate Hemera from, but Volka was sure he could do it.

Ouranos: The slim grey he wolf was rugged and handsome. He was just what Ouranos was afraid of. Charming, attractive, and a desirable mate. "Volka," he repeated. Ouranos examined him like a healer would look at an ugly rash, and with a scowl on his face. "You have any siblings? Parents? What alignment are you?"
Khoine: He was certainly a handsome he wolf, and Khoine was immediately attracted to him. She stood up from her sleeping position and approached him. He was way out of Hemera's league, and Ouranos was about to scare him off. "Well, hello Volka," she said much friendlier than Ouranos had. "I'm Khoine, Hemera's sister. This is Ouranos, our protective older brother." Khoine said protective older brother with a hint of sarcasm, trying to treat his interrogation playfully.

Ares looked to Zeus as he came from whereever he was. The black gold and red make flicked his ear slightly curious as to where he was."hey Zeus where were you?"he asked flocking his tail before he stopped seeing the strange male wolf enter the clearing. He fliccked his ears back once before he have a toothy grin."who might you be stranger"He said coming over joining his brothers.
Nox looked up and rolled her eyes before she said"Ares back down"she had said her ears flat against her head as she approached the male."you always want to fight why don't you go hunt or something"She growled to Ares. Though it didn't sit well with him."how about you make me"he said
Hemera looked to Zeus before she heard Volka come and she turned her orange head looking to him. She smiled a tiny but her nervousness coming off her in waves. It didnt get any better when Ares came over and Nox was threatening him not to start a fight. She flicked her tail. She forced herself to relax when Ouranos spoke but something didn't settle right with Hemera when Khoine spoke. She could somewhat tell the interest she held in the male beside her and she flicked her ears back and have a slight growl"you never show interest in anything Khoine So back off"She said a slight flick of her tail.

Zeus:
"I was exactly where you weren't Ares, but to be courteous, I was resting further in the woods, and watching the sunrise." Zeus barely glanced at his little brother as he walked by, but left the conversation with as little irritation as possible. The large dark gray male stood his ground, his black paws planted firmly on the ground as he watched a charming young male trot over and stand next to Hemera. His gray fur was sleek and his eyes an icy blue that seemed to hold something more than just his friendly grin, something sharp and dangerous, something he did very well at hiding. With Volka's movements, Zeus was able to catch a whiff of his scent, and what he detected didn't give him a very pleasant feeling. Both Hemera and her new found "friend" scented strongly of each other, and he knew then, that these two had been doing more than just hunting together in the woods. The realization left Zeus with a bitter taste in his mouth and a bitter feeling towards this Volka, but he showed no expression of his disapproval, and only lifted his head with a grim and pensive face.
Ouranos had probably sensed their actions as well, because he came off as very skeptical towards Volka, or even if he hadn't figured it out, he was just being way over protective towards Hemera. 'Okay dad, we get the caution, but you don't have to ask a bunch of dumb questions.' Khoine was the next sibling to do something dumb as she got up from her spot and pranced over with a devious grin plastered on her muzzle. Her actions and tone completely giving her intentions away. Zeus raised his brows and watched the expressions that passed over Hemera's nervous face, she and her new friend where sure in a sticky situation. Nox' and Ares' voices ranted behind him, but Zeus was focused on Volka. Did he really look like the father type, or was he just young and love-struck by his beautiful little sister? Zeus was uncertain about this whole thing, and for Hemera's safety, but he wasn't going to act like and idiot because of it. He finally decided to make the atmosphere a bit more bearable, and introduce himself and the rest of his siblings that Khoine left out. "An honor to meet you Volka." His head bobbed ever so slightly, "I am Zeus, and Nox our sister, and that is Ares, our youngest brother. And of course, you have already met Hemera." His deep voice seemed to rumble the air as he nodded his head towards each sibling he introduced, and then turned his attention back on the gray male, letting his eyes inspect the supposed father with a nonthreatening gaze.

Volka:
Volka refused to be nervous under Ouranos's scrutiny. He stood tall with his mischievous grin unwavering. "I'm an only child," Volka lied, answering Ouranos's questions one by one, "I had parents, but they're lost to me, now. I was on my own for a bit, but then I ran into your sister, here. I am of Good alliance and I assure you that I mean your sister no harm. Quite the contrary, in fact." He hoped the answers would satisfy the male. Certainly being "Good" would help ease Ouranos's fears. Goods were known for their kind hearts after all.
One of Hemera's sisters approached. Her eyes flicked over him, greedily when she spoke her words lilted with flirtatious interest and scornful sarcasm. She liked him. He could use that. Khoine immediately seemed the kind of she-wolf who wouldn't mind if she took a male from another. Maybe she even considered it an enjoyable challenge to do so. Volka couldn't be sure yet, though. If he could get Khoine to fall in love with him as well, he could break two hearts with one stone. Volka raised an eyebrow at her in response. A "Really?" expression that could be interpreted many ways. The she-wolves would hopefully see what they wanted to see. Hemera would hopefully see a "Really? What are you doing? I'm taken" sort of look. Khoine would hopefully see a "Really? I might think you're cute. Let's see what happens" sort of look. That is Volka did it right, they'd see it. The look was only there for a second to avoid a she-wolf seeing what the other might in the expression. Hemera, of course, felt threatened by Khoine's words. Hopefully Volka's look had worked and she was comforted.
Behind Ouranos and Khoine approached two more wolves. One a red and gold male who gave Volka a toothy, eager grin. The female told him to back down addressing him as Ares. Ares... Volka would fight him soon enough. His sister's interventions didn't amuse Ares and he growled at her.
The final sibling studied Volka. Not like Ouranos studied him. Ouranos was harsher, demanding to know without fully seeing. Zeus's gaze seemed to penetrate Volka's like no other's had. It made Volka feel exposed, uncomfortable though he hid the feelings easily. Volka was getting good at that. It was almost as though the emotions had no real hold on him. Zeus's nose twitched, inhaling Volka's scent. His expression grew grim. He knew. He was the first of the siblings to put it together. Certainly they would eventually, but Zeus caught on quicker. However he didn't seem intent on revealing the news. Instead Zeus, introduced himself in a friendly manner. He also introduced the final sibling that Volka hadn't been given a name to. Nox. "It's a pleasure to meet you all." He said, nodding to each wolf.

Ouranos: Zeus was so much calmer than Ouranos was. While both brothers were suspicious of Volka, Zeus went about things in a much smarter way. Ouranos looked at his brother, wishing he could be more like him. He realized that the interrogating he had done would not tell him much about whether or not he could trust Volka. If he was untrustworthy, Ouranos' random questions would just scare him away, and teach him to be more cautious of the tough brute. Zeus examined Volka quietly, in a friendly way. That was probably best. If Ouranos wanted answers from Volka, he would have to gain his trust first. Ouranos gave Zeus a grateful look. What would we do without you, Brother?
Volka answered Ouranos' questions with ease. If he was lying, he sure was good at hiding it, but Zeus' made Volka seem uncomfortable. He covered his feelings well, but behind his eyes, Ouranos saw his skin crawling. Well, if Zeus is going to be suspicious in a subtle way, I don't mind being suspicious in a blunt threatening way. Ouranos shot Volka a death stare. If you ever hurt Hemera in any way, I will track you down and I will get revenge.
Khoine: Volka gave Khoine a quick flirtatious glance. Khoine stood up a little straighter in a flattered way. Volka was willing to cheat on Hemera for Khoine, and Khoine didn't mind doing the same. Of course he liked Khoine more than her little sister. Who wouldn't? But Hemera was very territorial of him. Khoine rolled her eyes at the runt without her noticing. From behind Zeus, who seemed pretty friendly and trusting of Volka, thankfully, she winked at Volka with a devious grin.
