Tovaana turned to Riek, his head dipping and offering once more to escort her. She had never met a wolf as cordial as well, one so willing to help who seemed sure of himself. His confidence and sureness was to be admiring, even as he picked his way toward the other wolf. She nodded as he stepped away, but he was gone and she stood and took a few steps with him, almost unconsciously following him. She stopped her golden paws from walking further, realizing what her body had done… sought security? Perhaps she felt nervous with the injured wolf near, had someone or something done it to her?
Once she had heard it was a hunting accident her nerves relaxed, but wasn’t sure if she believed her. The wolf went to the water and started to mutter incoherently… She glanced over at Riek to see what he thought of it, but did not speak, just watching curiously.

The male eyed Rithe curiously. He wasn't entirely sure himself if he should trust this wolf or not. At the same time, he didn't consider her to be anywhere near a threat with her injury. Even if he turned his back to her, he wasn't fearful of anything from the she-wolf that lay before him. It plagued him to want to ask her if she was indeed an evil wolf. However, with Tovaana nearing up behind him in silence, he'd refrain from asking. He thought it to be beneficial to not pester this new wolf, and instead ease Tovaana's mind perhaps, along with Rithe as well. Besides, if the she-wolf announced her true intent to be something that Riek deemed unpure, he could settle it later.
For now he was more focused on perhaps a relationship with either wolf, friendly or otherwise. Riek shifted a little on his haunches, trying to get relaxed for the moment. "Let me know if you do want my aid, Tovaana. You don't have to be so quiet." He announced, not glancing over his shoulder for the moment as he kept his lifeless eyes on Rithe. She seemed to be singing, or starting some sort of song? He wasn't entirely sure, but perhaps the song could help him delve more into her thoughts and ambitions. Only one way to find out!
Not once had he asked the injured she-wolf her name, nor given his directly to her. He didn't seem to have terribly too much interest in either one at the moment, instead focusing on determining her allegiance. The male also kept an ear turned back to listen to Tovaana, ready to go at a moments notice if she wished to seek out Eternal Snowfall. Riek hadn't personally made any contact with the pack, but knew of them, and where to find them, so he was more than happy to help a wolf of pure heart seek them out.

Rithe paused, suddenly aware of Tovaana. She stopped singing her pack song and looked behind her shoulder. "There's no need. to be scared. A neutral wolf that has been injured isn't something to be afraid of!" her lips bent up in a slight, pained smile. "I'm telling my truth as truthful as I can. I hunted a large animal with out knowledge. I'm more used to hunting hares and what not." She looked back to the lake, her green eyes staring at the sky. The song played back in her head as she knelt down to drink some more water. (OOC: Rithe's little "pack song" is "I'll run by Pentatonix. Her pack sang it whenever a loved one, a respected one, or a pup died. here's the link! www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWS9D8Z0mpc )

Her face heated at his words, covered in fur it was unnoticeable – but he hadn’t looked back at her anyways. She felt confused at her own embarrassment, the reaction she had to his kind words. Perhaps it had been since she had traveled with her mother than anyone had paid so much attention to her. With Joey it had been a quick friendship and travel companion for a bit, with Mettalise it had felt like she had found a little sister, with Astral it had felt like she had found someone just as lost as she was, and with Riek… She was not sure yet. She tore her eyes away from the back of Riek’s head, realizing she had been staring.
Her golden gaze found the femme who was talking to her. First she felt shock, then a flash of annoyance and then slight exasperation and embarrassment that she had appeared as frightened as she had felt. There was relief too, in the back of her head, that the female was neutral, it meant that there would be no judgment reigned down on her by Riek. She turned away from both of them to regain her composure. Her long legs glided her away from them a few strides, closing her eyes. She felt for her ability, it felt malleable in her mind and before conjuring it, she changed its texture to have a ripple going through it.
With a blink there was a golden glittering shield in front of her. She could see through it, the water beyond it masked by the gold. The semi translucent shield rippled slightly, it took on a new shape than her usual circle or oval. The release of power was relaxing and boosted her confidence.
While Riek had told her she had not needed to be quiet, she felt stubborn – she could do what she wanted… But she flattened her ears, the stubbornness did not last long, knowing that he had been being kind to her. With a harsh shove at her shield, it did not dissipate as quickly, she had to shove at it again and the sparkles fell and faded. With a low head she took a couple of paces back toward the two, but did not pass Riek.
She wasn’t sure what to say in return to the femme, so instead she spoke to Riek, looking at him as she spoke. “I would be honored if you escorted me when we are done here. Thank you.” While before she may have appreciated his strength and protection, she felt the confidence that she did not need his help, but she wanted it, and she could say it.
“I’m glad your injuries were healable.” She said politely addressing the femme, all of a sudden very tired. The heaviness seemed to be in her heart more than her eyelids. “My name is Tovaana." Her body felt more alive and its energy did not match what she felt in her heart.

Riek seemed to find a slight bit of comfort in Rithe's words. The she-wolf was clearly not a threat to him, and for some reason he sensed more pure intentions in her heart. Of course, that was just his guess, from the wolf who was always too quick to judge. Perhaps she was a bit too foolish going after such a large prey, something more fit for a hunting group than a lone wolf! "If you intend to go looking for larger prey, I'd suggest asking for assistance... I'd hate to see someone like yourself die over nothing." He started, flicking his ears. "Tch... Unless it was a dark-hearted wolf that led you down that path, tricking you into a situation where you could have died." His face scrunched up at the thought, perhaps he needed to watch the evil wolves activities much more closely.
The golden glittering shield shone behind Riek, and naturally, it startled him. A bit of crackling could be heard as his fur stood up a little, the two red and black dots above each of his eyes glowing slightly. He had charged himself with his own power once again, as he whipped his head around. Riek was ready to protect both she-wolves in a moments notice, though he felt rather foolish as he saw Tovaana pushing at the shield she had created. Soon enough, it shattered into beautiful sparkles and dust. The male flattened his ears back against his head, and would try and keep his distance from the females at the moment, needing to discharge before they made any physical contact.
He dipped his head a little at Tovaana, while he sat back in a position that he could see both of the she-wolves clearly. "It would be my pleasure, Tovaana." Riek replied, keeping still for the meanwhile. He'd look back over to the injured wolf as Tovaana introduced herself, before he finally realized he hadn't even done the same! Mentally kicking himself, he'd open up a little as well. "I am Riek, feel free to ask for any help, of course after I assist Tovaana that is." The male chimed in, feeling like he might as well introduce himself to Rithe now while he could.
The male did his best to keep his posture in the presence of the two wolves, keeping polite as he could and still keeping his distance for the time being. He'd feel dreadfully terrible if he accidentally shocked either of them with his power, his fur still crackling quietly as he waited for a moment to discharge himself with the water again.

Rithe stood up, her eyes watching Riek with a green spark. "Actually, It was an evil wolf who gave me the advice of hunting larger prey..."She started, turning to face the wolves. "However, he did rather harshly. He had something going on in his noggin." She laughed. Rithe looked at her body, the wounds slowly closing, and she smiled. "I never did introduce myself, did I? Well, I-" She let out a startled yelp as she saw the rippling barrier, almost falling into the water. Then she yelped again as she heard the crackling from Riek's fur. Confused, Rithe wandered farther into the water until she was shoulder length in. Then the barrier dissapeared, but Riek wandered a small distance from the two. "Anyways, I'm Rithe. And, Riek, Let's hope that when we meet, it isn't because I had another hunting accident!" She laughed, getting out of the water.

Glittering eyes washed over Riek’s body that was noticeably larger, each strand of fur seemed to have life of its own when Riek moved…. Which was not much, he was very still, and seemed cautious. Tov had already guessed it was energy and the crackle just moments before again reminded her of soft lightning. She nodded mutely in gratitude when he agreed to accompany her.
The other wolf was a little more distant now, dripping water as she came somewhat out of the water. She had been spooked… Her white ears flattened momentarily, hoping it had not been her fault for both the crackle and spooked femme. She had only been trying to relax, not cause others grief. Maybe she was better off on her own, or maybe she did need stable surroundings…
She watched her pelt continue to mend herself and her thoughts went to the mountain and all her memories she had had in the past year. It would be easier if she had a White goddess always there to tell her what to do, but that was not living, not really.
Blinking away her thoughts, she wondered at her hunting accident… “A wolf told you to hunt larger prey by yourself?” She wondered aloud. She looked at Rithe, wondering how old she was, wondering also if she had had a mentor at all growing up. But she kept silent, not wanting to overwhelm the wolf with questions, so she went back to feeling baffled that a wolf would give such ridiculous advice.

Riek couldn't help but jump up a little as Rithe tumbled into the water. He wanted to help, but knew that he couldn't. It'd be too much of a hazard for both of them if he stepped into the water to help tug her out. Instead, he'd try and keep the same calm look about him as he watched the she-wolf clamber out of the lake and back onto the shore with them. "Tch... Unforgiveable that such a wolf would send you out alone to hunt larger prey." He began, scrunching his face up a little. "Give me a name, I'll make sure they're not long for this world." The crusader ended. Riek didn't care who an evil wolf hurt, whether it was a good or a neutral wolf, he'd make them pay. All he needed was a name, and then to match a face with the name. He might've sounded a bit sinister in his words, but he was truthful.
Once Rithe finally made her way out of the lake, Riek would stand back up and make his way to the water's edge. He had given himself plenty of distance between the two female wolves, before he plunged one paw directly into the water with no remorse. A louder zap could be heard this time as his leg visibly shook for a moment. "I won't let these evil wolves plague the land much longer, Rithe. I'll avenge you." Riek said, slowly lifting his paw out of the water, soaked. He shook it a little as the rest of his pelt flattened out against his body, the static charge gone for the moment. "As I told Tovaana... Everything happens for a reason. This wolf that told you to go and hunt prey that is meant for multiple wolves sealed their fate with me." He finished up, seating himself down beside the water. He seemed to stare aimlessly into the lake's surface, as if it was telling him something. The calm look on the male's face seemed a bit agitated and angry by now, it seemed the thought of evil wolves and their deeds got him riled up!

Rithe's eyes widened, her green pools glinting with some sort of satisfaction. A devious smirk appeared on Rithe's lips and she let out a deep chuckle. "Well, if you so want to do something, his name was Duality. He had a blueish gray face with red and black - I-I think." Her eyes softened, and she let her muscles relax. "I'm still curious about why you care even after we've just met, but I'm sure the injuries say it all." She said calmly, sitting down near Riek despite the electricity. She looked to Tovaana, and said, "I never hunted a large animal like a deer. My pack always was small, so we ate little rabbits. I was only one year old when it all happened," She dipped her head and her eyes dropped to the floor, slowly and softly, she continued, "It's been a year..."

Tov listened to Riek and glanced sharply at Rithe, willing her to not give a name. How she was questioning how bad this situation really was, did it really mean that the evil wolf needed to die? She puzzled over this as she looked at his wet paw, his hair now limp and closer to his body. It reminded her of dry days right before a storm- static her mother had told her… This was no static though; this was stronger and potentially dangerous.
Her insides squirmed at Rithe’s tone, especially when the name escaped the air. It was only a name… right? There were dozens of wolves in the area, what horrible luck would have it that both Riek and Duality met? The odds calmed Tovaana’s nerves, but something still nagged her.
Her thoughts were distracted when Rithe started to talk to her, blinking as she spoke. When her words trailed off, she did not finish her thought. The story was incomplete, but sympathy swelled for her, whatever the past held for the wolf, it was not pleasant.
Tovaana was unsure of what to say or how to comfort the wolfess, she had had her mother die and it had been about a year as well. She could still feel Riek’s energy, not his power, but his agitation was palpable. Maybe a change of subject would calm him down…
“When what happened Rithe?” She asked gently, ears folding back.

"Duality..." Riek whispered back, "Bluish gray... With split coloration." A smirk came over the golden colored wolf. "I think I saw one just like that enter Frigid Plague's territory... I'll be sure to avenge you, Rithe." He smiled, albeit in an unnerving fashion. Personally, the male didn't care much for Rithe's backstory... Unless it lead him on another path to eradicate some other evil wolves. However, he seemed to sense Tovaana's tension and would refrain himself from asking any other questions at the moment.
Instead, he'd breath in deeply and exhale the same, tilting his head back to look up at the clouds instead. His smile steadily settled down again, returning his face to a more stoic positioning before he turned his head over to Rithe. "You can tell us, but only if you really want to. I wouldn't want to force you into sharing something that would make you upset." Riek said calmly, flicking one eye over to Tov. Perhaps being in the presence of females made the male more courteous? He wasn't entirely sure himself, but he'd keep any further questions of evil wolves to himself for Tovaana and Rithe's sake, even if more names started popping up!
After speaking his own mind to Rithe for a split second, he lifted his head again to watch the sky, letting his ears hang back to listen to the females. It seemed for the meanwhile, he'd let Tovaana and Rithe do the talking, he felt no need to really interject at the moment. After all, he had gotten more than enough information for the moment. The name rang in his head, Duality, and the same image of the wolf he had spotted headed deep into Frigid Plague's territory plagued his mind. Surely, this would be his next target. He'd need to work his way up the chain to the alphess eventually. Surely killing off just the beta wasn't going to be enough, he'd need to start working his way to the top to alarm her and seek him out. It seemed he was already plotting to overthrow the evil pack, it was just a matter of time before he did it, or died trying.

Rithe dipped her head lower, but lifted it again at the voices of Tovaana and Riek. "Well.... I was born into a family pack with only about two wolves that my father, the alpha, allowed into the pack. One was an all white wolf by the name of Bider. The other, Bider's sister. She was also all white. So it was me, my siblings, my father, my mother, then Bider and his sister; i couldn't find out her name. I found the two siblings plotting to over throw my father to make Bider alpha. But I couldn't tell my father. Bider forced us to over hunt and then he killed my father. He tried to kill me, but my older brother, Jacoi, protected me before I ran." She gasped, her eyes brimming with tears.

She glanced over at Riek as he spoke, her stomach churning. She had been hoping to have him help her train defense on their journey, but now… When he smiled… She looked away and to the femme who was almost trembling from sudden- what was it, fear? Sadness? And when the horrible story was done, a gasp erupted from her throat, her eyes wet with emotion. She breathed out a slow, controlled sigh, closing her eyes. Rithe had willingly shared, so she did not feel guilt for prodding her, but she did feel her sadness and a new emotion seemed to be budding. Anger. More of it. What with the dark wolves in the valley and Rithe’s story, and so many other horrors she knew she had only not heard of… There had to be a stop to it. While she did not think Riek’s theory was the right path, she understood his vigor in his journey.
“That’s horrible.” She simply whispered. She was not as worried about the names and descriptions that Rithe had given. Time had passed, and she guessed that Rithe would make sure to stay far away from her past. Her words would not condemn them to Riek’s chosen fate of death… Not likely anyway.
“I… I cannot imagine your circumstances, but I do know what it is like to lose a father.” She empathized gently. While Tovaana had never lost her father, she had never known him, and in that way she felt the loss. Most of the time it seemed normal to travel with her mother, but she always wondered. ooc// sorry for the wait!

OOC: It's okay Tov! We understand Riek listened and watched the two females. Despite being hellbent on the destruction of the evil wolves, he was still courteous. Especially towards she-wolves. It seemed likely that it was a trait he had picked up along the way, whether it was from another wolf, or just from seeing how others reacted to him. He did manage to notice when Tovaana turned her head away from him. His ears flattened back against his head a little as he noticed what he appeared to be. The male would make a mental note to be more cautious with his words and his emotions around others once again. After all, he didn't want to scare off any potential allies. Perhaps training Tovaana's defensive ability would be beneficial to both of them, and a chance to bond together, though he wasn't planning on asking her. He could train his own ability at the same time, but had a fear that he would harm the she-wolf, something he surely didn't want to happen.
Finally he settled his eyes on Rithe again and stood himself back up, taking a step towards her. He shut his eyes gently and places the top of his head against the side of her own, close to her ear. "I apologize for your loss... If there is anything else I can do for you Rithe, please let me know and I will do my best." He whispered, making another mental note of another name. Now he had two wolves to actively seek, both in Rithe's name. Duality would be an easy find, he already knew such a wolf with the same description existed within the pack he kept such a close eye on. Bider on the other hand, he had no clue about. He also didn't plan on asking anymore questions, feeling like he pried too much already.
His ears flicked back up and he sat back down on the ground, shoulders still turned towards Rithe while his head swiveled to look over the lake. One ear turned to face the she-wolves, listening if they had any further input. Riek felt like he should watch over Rithe, but at the same time he had said he would accompany Tovaana to where she needed to go. He'd likely come back to check on Rithe later on, just to make sure she was alright.
