OOC: All good! I totally understand.
Skyla: "Good morning, how'd you sleep last night?" She smiled. "Pretty good, actually. How 'bout you?" Her smile brightened and her eyes glowed all knowingly at her last sentence. The black, grey and white wolf turned to face her then let out a yawn. "I'm going to go swim in Kai Lake to help get rid of my sleepiness. Would you like to join me?" The she-wolf didn't hesitate, her reckless nature taking over. "Yeah, sure!" With her brightest smile upon her maw, the she-wolf leant her head to one side and continued to speak. "Lead the way, I will follow." She nudged him slightly as a gesture to start moving. Skyla didn't want to miss out a great chance for an amazing swim. Especially on a rare, sunny day of winter.

DarkMoon smiles and says "ok, I know of the perfect spot to go swimming." He gets up and begins to walk towards Kai Lake. He made sure that he kept a reasonable pace, so that he doesn't use up a lot of his energy. Once he gets there he sits and waits patiently for Skyla. Once she gets there, DarkMoon gets up and jumps into the water. The water felt warm, which was unusual, considering the fact that Kai Lake normally felt cool. DarkMoon thinks to himself "that's weird... I swear that the last time I swam in this lake, it was a lot cooler than this... how strange..." DarkMoon then felt a fish try to nibble at his paws and he jumped a little in fear because he didn't know what it was. Then he dove under to catch a fish that he saw surface for a brief moment before diving back down. DarkMoon catches the fish in his mouth and surfaces with the fish still flopping around in his mouth. "I caught a fish!" He says with excitement as he began to walk back to the shore of the lake. Once he gets back to shore, he sets the now dead fish on the ground, then swims back off to where he was before.

Skyla: With a flick of her white tipped tail, she strolled by Darmoon's right side. The she-wolf followed obediently, not straying far from the male, taking in the sights but keeping him in her sight. Wonder if he would be up for a little race... She grinned a mischievously playful grin before hiding it under her mask of bright smiling attitude. Her paws were a little oversized, which didn't always help but she made do with what she had. The she-wolf continued to stroll casually at Darkmoon's side until a large body of water greeted both of them.
Kai Lake, how interesting. The grinning female watched on as the young adult dove into the blue water. "No way I'm missing out!" She shouted so loud that it scattered the fishes as they swam away in fear, no doubt she had made him almost half deaf just for a few seconds. She approached the edge and dove in, muzzle first, her sunset eyes wide open. A few flashes of silver caught her eye, likely to be fishes. She threw out a paw, attempting to stab an unlucky victim with a single claw. The she-wolf was, however, a little unlucky today, narrowly missing one of the fast creatures. Now that she was not distracted by the fishes, her head popped up above the water for a few seconds and took in some air to fill her lungs. "I caught a fish!" She heard him say, his voice overloaded with excitement. "Great job!" Skyla called, she was on the opposite side of the lake to Darkmoon.
As the male swam to the shore and back to his original spot in the lake. The she-wolf swam just a tad closer to him, just so she wouldn't have to yell so loud. "What do ya say about a swimming race?" The female smirked, she was a better swimmer than she was a runner. "Unless you want to- you know, chicken out."

DarkMoon laughs and says "oh, you're on!" In a playful way. He then asks "where are we racing to?" What Skyla didn't realize was that he was an expert swimmer who used to do a lap around Kai Lake in under ten minutes... the fastest anywolf had ever gone. But nonetheless, he accepted her challenge and was ready to race. DarkMoon was born for competition. When he was a pup, he was the top wolf of his class in hunting, fishing, wrestling, and racing... he loves to race. DarkMoon says in his mind "she's one of the competitive type... I like a female who loves to compete with me... lets see how fast she really is..." a competitive smirk spread across his maw.

Skyla: The male challenged her and didn't back down. "Oh, you're on!" His playful tone was touched with competitiveness. The she-wolf grinned widely, her eyes glowing with anticipation for the outcome of the race. "Where are we racing to?" Skyla scratched he head for a second, figuring out where would be best. "From that area there." The female directed with a paw, she pointed to a muddy shore, it was surrounded by fish and long grass that had withered to a disgusting shade of brown and green. "To there." The she-wolf dragged her paw along as if she was sketching out the race track. When she finally stopped on the opposite edge, if you looked close enough or smelt a the air a little the faint scent of rabbit hung in the air over the area.
She glanced behind her to make sure he knew where to go and checked his expression for confusion. But it was anything but that, it was competitive, almost in a cocky fashion. So he thinks he's good hey? Well let's test this, there is no way I am going to lose! She was unaware of the fact that he was an expert, really oblivious. A swish of paws got her over to where she had signalled was the start. She paddled on the spot and flicked her ears to make sure Darkmoon was following. "You ready?" She gave him a friendly smile before turning seriously competitive, but still a little playful. "If you're not, then I think you will find that I will win."

DarkMoon looks in the direction that Skyla was pointing to and says in his mind "the muddy marshland part of Kai Lake... this may be the challenging part... trying not to get stuck in the mud and winning the race? Well played, Skyla... well played..." Then he says "ok, I think that's a good racing spot. But I do have to warn you, that mud is deeper than it looks. Racing through there is like racing through quicksand." DarkMoon then swam to the spot where the race will begin and gets ready to race. He says to himself "ok, the outer edge has the shallowest part of the mud, if I stay on the outer edge, I should win this race with very little error..."

((Hi there, guys. Just letting you know that since this thread was started in July, it means it is winter in the White Wolf Mountain valley. The season usually remains the same for the entirety of the thread, even if the posts go past the season change. The current season is shown in the top right corner of every page on the site, in case you weren't sure where to find it.
The problem I'm seeing is that 1. Kai Lake would either be frozen over or dangerously cold to swim in during winter. 2. The 'muddy marshland' is frozen during winter. They can still go there, but there would be no mud at all—it would be hard frozen dirt.
Just letting you two know. You don't have to change what has already been written and replied to, but from my post onward, please roleplay within the season that the thread was started in.))

Skyla: "Ok, I think that's a good racing spot. But I do have to warn you, that mud is deeper than it looks. Racing through there is like racing through quicksand." She tilted her head at him from where she stood, she had gotten up onto to the shore due to the freezing water. "You sure? It just looks like hard dirt to me." The she-wolf kicked the frozen mud lightly, showing him how hard it was. "And are you sure you aren't going to freeze to death in there?" Her tone turned from playful to more teasing. Skyla's eyes locked with his now, awaiting his reply. She wondered how Darkmoon would answer such an... Interesting statement or two.
The male had now made it to the starting line without any troubles. It seemed as if the freezing water wasn't a matter to him, which she found was odd. But, everyone had their perks, she thought this just must be one of them. She could hear him muttering something to himself, most likely self-encouragement to try and pump him up. "Like I said, you sure you aren't going to freeze to death?" This was his final chance to jump from the water and possibly keep his life in tact.
OOC: Oops, sorry Meds! I kind of changed it so it would fit in to what you were saying before.

DarkMoon hops out of the cold water and onto the shore and shakes off his fur. His fur fluffed up, making him look like a giant fluff ball. "Wow that water was cold..." DarkMoon says while he shivers from the cold. He adds "Maybe we should postpone the race until the springtime when things get a little warmer, because I don't know about you, but I certainly don't want to suffer from frostbite and hypothermia." DarkMoon then rolled around on the ground to help flatten his fur so that he doesn't look like a giant fluff ball anymore. He then began walking back to his den, so that he can warm up. "If you're cold too, I recommend you follow me, unless, you know... you wanna freeze to death out here." DarkMoon says with a warning tone of voice.

Skyla: Darkmoon was now a ball of blue-grey fur, fluffy, poofy and crazy due to the water that had soaked it. It was a large tangle of knots and matted parts, even some of his usually smooth head fur seemed mildly disturbed. He shook in it in every which-way, droplets of water flying everywhere and his fur was still sticking on end. "Wow that water was cold..." He shivered in the bitter Winter wind, him being wet did not help one bit. "You don't say." She was purely sarcastic, it was a captain obvious statement after all. "Maybe we should postpone the race until the springtime when things get a little warmer, because I don't know about you, but I certainly don't want to suffer from frostbite and hypothermia." She took it in and nodded. "Yeah, getting sick won't help us, neither will death." Her tail flicked behind her. She had never really thought much about death, danger and dying. Skyla lived her life fairly carefree, rarely taking such things into account. As she snapped from the death possibilities she looked up to the male who was just taller about a good few centimetres taller than her.
His light blue eyes stunning and quite the sight. What the hell am I on about? Sure, his eyes are nice but what does that matter?! The she-wolf scolded herself but her expression remained a mask of playfulness and teasing warning. She was still looked at him, but this time, he was on the ground. Darkmoon rolled side to side as he attempted to straighten out his crazy mess of fur. It was undoubtedly going to get matted, but she didn't comment. After a small while, he finally stood up, heading toward the direction of the den. "If you're cold too, I recommend you follow me, unless, you know... you wanna freeze to death out here." He added, his tone held a warning. So he used my 'freeze to death' line, hey? Well what do you know! With a swift turn of shoulders and legs, she followed, trailing not far behind.

Once he gets back to his den, DarkMoon lays down at the back of the den. He says in his mind "maybe she'll want to cuddle with me because of the cold. But then again... she might not. She's very unpredictable, and that's what I like. And those eyes of hers... wow, they are amazingly beautiful... I hope that she feels the same way about mine... maybe if she doesn't lay down with me, I should go lay down with her." He watched as Skyla walked into his den, still hoping that she would lay down with him. He smiles and says "well, the den's not much warmer, but at least we don't have to worry about the wind." DarkMoon then sighs with contentment and lays his head down.

Skyla: It was all bland. The sky, the trees, the ground, it was all the same in Winter. Nothing colourful, just bland grey and white that the season had to offer. It was quite dull but at least they had been gifted a half decent day, considering it was supposed to be the coldest one out of the four. She was trailing not far behind her new friend, Darkmoon, her eyes playing and rolling in their sockets as she tried to find some fun in the bring trip to the den. There was nothing really to find, the only thing that was interesting was the wolf in front of her since he was the only thing that was colourful. Luckily for her, the short trip had come to the end, which led her to the cave she had first found at Kai Lake.
It was still light out, the sun was blocked out by the overcast sky though, making it seem later than it really was. The den was partially lit due to the small rays of sun that peeked through the cloud-cover from time to time. She took a few steps into the den and the heard her companion speak. "Well, the den's not much warmer, but at least we don't have to worry about the wind." The male then sighs deeply as he lay his head down against the floor. She then shrugged to herself. What harm could a little lay down do? With that thought in mind, she lay in the corner she had claimed the previous night and lay her head to rest on a paw. She didn't sleep, but lay there in a relaxed manner.

DarkMoon watches as Skyla goes to lay down in the same spot that she laid down in the night before. He gets up and walks over to where Skyla was laying down and says in a calm and polite manner "may I lay down next to you?" DarkMoon then hears a noise coming from outside of the den. He focused his attention on the noise outside and sees a barn owl flying straight towards and into the den, where it perches on a tree root that was positioned more towards the top of the den. Then DarkMoon watched as it tucked its wings back into its body. DarkMoon then refocused his attention to Skyla.

Skyla: The portion of the cave was as cosy as she remembered it to be, which was nice to know. In the corner of her eye she caught Darkmoon, who was now standing on his feet and the male trotted over to her. "!ay I lay down next to you?" He asked, his manner polite and clam. She looked up at him from where she lay and tilted her head. "S—" She only managed to get one letter out as a sound of flapping wings distracted her. As she peered past his conveniently placed legs (not), she saw an owl. Not just any 'owl' a Barn Owl. It was diving straight toward the pair at a startling speed. Her eyes widened slightly but the bird started to slow. He was still focused on the bird as he saw it. Skyla looked at the owl with interest as it flew casually into the den. It then sat itself upon a tree root near the roof of the den. Skyla smiled and took in its beauty. The animal folded its wings neatly back into place and Darkmoon looked at her once again.
"It's pretty, don't you think?" She mentioned to the male, obviously referring to the bird.

DarkMoon smiles and says "yes, Barn Owls are very pretty, just like you." After realizing what he just said, DarkMoon blushed and says sarcastically in his mind "wow, way to go putting your feelings out there for her..." Then he says to Skyla "so, back to the question... may I lay down next to you?" DarkMoon then hears the Barn Owl flap its wings and briefly glances at it. He then watches as the Barn Owl flies out of the den and into the night sky. DarkMoon then refocused on Skyla again. In his mind, he says "Take it easy Dark, you've only known her for two days and you're gonna need at least a week before you take that chance..."
