Earendil wasn't happy in the slightest. He was pink and for some odd reason had been unable to find a pit of tar to dunk himself in. He didn't want to be in the forest of love. It was his least favorite place but here at least his pink fur would fit right in. He found a thicket of trees and settled in between the pink monstrosities to hide. He wished he could climb in one and hide for the rest of his life. It wouldn't happen though considering that he couldn't climb trees. His broken claws and sprained toes would prevent him from climbing anything for a while. He knew hiding in the trees was no way to find a love interest but he couldn't help himself. He wasn't normally a wolf who traveled a lot.
He would have to leave the camouflage of the trees soon though. But in his mind, he hoped some wolf would notice him here and he wouldn't have to. At least then he had a shot that the wolf would not realize what color he was. A color he couldn't stand and not his natural color to add fuel to the humiliation. He would have been more accepting of it had he been born this way. Maybe then he wouldn't be trying to hide in the forest of love. Maybe then he wouldn't need to find a mate at all.

Auroras: The female had been wandered unintentionally into the Forest Of Love but she was yet to find out she was there. With her eyes glued ahead and a wide grin playing on her maw, no one seems to be able to stand in her way. She was just another wolf in the valley, but probably more the optimistic type than many others. As she wandered along the imaginary path she had created for herself, a small leaf fell on her head. With a small chuckle, the joyous she-wolf brushed it away without a second thought. It fell to the forest floor and joined many others that had fallen before it. Somehow, the female was still oblivious to the fact she was in the Forest Of Love, probably one of the most designated spots for romance. For one, the leaves were pink for crying out loud, who wouldn't be able to tell where they were if these leaves were to appear! Still, she continued to stroll through without a care in the world. Paw, after paw, after paw. She padded along without a break and did not bother to grab a drink or even a light snack as she passed through the forest. Then, something in the corner of her eye caught her attention. The now curious she-wolf wandered over to the blob of pink and wondered what in the world was going on.
As she approached, she cleared her threat to see if she could grab the odd creature's attention. "Hey there!" She barked, her voice overly friendly but louder than she intended. With a few swift steps, she was only about two meters or so apart from the pink thing. Her head was tilted as she tried to find out more about them. From where she stood, it just looked like a bunk of pink fur decorated with polka dots. Wait... Fur?! The she-wolf automatically thought wolf when fur was involved. Cool! A new friend to hang with. With a quick folding of legs and paws, she parked her rump onto the leaf-covered grounds. She wriggled until she was comfortable and waited patiently for a reply.
OOC: Sorry for such a terrible post! My brain was half asleep. XD

Earendil was happy that he wouldn't have to leave the cover of the trees though if she had noticed him she probably already knew he was pink. "Hey! It's nice to meet you. I'm Earendil." He looked at the wolf and noticed her bluish paws. They were more half socks then full socks. Seeing the color only reminded him of what he was supposed to be though so he looked up at her face. "Would you like me to come out of the trees?" He knew most would consider it rude so he asked but hoped this wolf wouldn't mind. He chuckled silently. What was he doing, asking a wolf whose name he didn't even know whether she would like for him to stop hiding in a bunch of trees?
He shouldn't even be hiding in a bunch of trees. But he kicked all those thoughts out of his head and focused on his paws. The pink of them hurt his eyes but at least then he didn't have to worry about saying something to scare her away. Then again she might think he wasn't interested if he looked at his paws the entire time so he picked his head up and mirrored her posture. He stopped thinking and blanked his mind. He would wait for her reply and hopefully her name. He wasn't going to be a chatterbox.
(That's okay. Mine's not very good either.)

Pan;The Forest of Love... How quaint. The trickster was on the move. As wild as the night and as lively as the sun. The feather in his mane was swinging wildly, and the black piercing in his ear drank in the light. He had already stumbled upon one couple attempting to find love. That hadn't been on purpose, but man had it ever been funny! Nothing was ruined by him being there... At least, he didn't think so. They seemed quite content at carrying on after he left again. He supposed now that if he happened to come across another couple, it would probably be funny again. He wasn't looking to inturupt anything on purpose... but if the chance came along, who was he to ignore it? The trees in the Forest of Love were somehow still pink even though it was winter, but they had sturdy branches. So sturdy, in fact, that Pan was able to dash along them without ever touching the ground. He could move quickly with no fear of falling. Pan rarely felt fear anyway, but there wasn't even a concern. The branches were heavy, thick, and unmoving. He passed a few wolves below him at times, but as he had already told himself, he wasn't purposly trying to inturupt anything. Then though, as he was skipping along through the leaves, movement ahead caught his eye. He slowed down a distance off before he could be detected, and grinned as he realized what it was. Why, there was a wolf in the branches up ahead! And... was that a play of the eyes? No! He was pink! Pan's grin grew wider. The pink wolf was speaking to someone down at the forest floor. The trickster didn't announce himself yet, and the wind was against him, so they would not smell him. Instead, he hunkered down silently in the branches and waited to see what would unfold.

Auroras: It was pink, furry and a wolf. To be honest, she like the last two better than the first but who was she to judge, she was born pink herself. "Hey! It's nice to meet you. I'm Earendil." They greeted, their mouth almost unnoticed in the monstrosity of pink. The she-wolf tilted her head and narrowed her eyes just slightly, before she returned to her usual, cautious stance. Just because she was wary, didn't mean she was suspicious of Earendil. It was just her nature, a normal thing the female did around the company of new wolves. "Nice to meet you too." Her voice was plain, but friendly. "Oh and my name is, uh, Auroras." The she-wolf almost blushed in embarrassment as she fumbled with her words. Almost, but not quite.
She actually had to strain just slightly to see him, being pink and all. It was quite the sight to see a bright pink wolf with polka dots, not exactly your usual. But then again, it seemed every wolf in the valley had their odd parts about them, even if they were only subtle. "Would you like me to come out of the trees?" She tilted her head at them again, interested by how unconcerned they were about a stranger. "I..." Her voice trailed off as she decided. "Yes actually, it would be easier to see you if you weren't hiding in those giant monstrosities." With a light laugh, the she-wolf stepped back and gave them room to move into. "I have been thinking, how did you get so pink? Where you born that way?" As soon as it fell off of her tongue, she regretted saying it at all. She was fairly sure they would consider the question sort of an invasion of privacy or something, she hardly even knew this wolf for crying out loud! To ask that was just plain idiotic, not to mention rude. "You don't have to answer that if you don't feel like it." She carried forgiving tone as she felt she had stepped out of line.

He cocked his head at the she-wolf. Jumping out of the trees he took the time to study the wolf further. She appeared to be black at first sight but the leaves obstructed his view. He huffed as he landed on his sprained toes. Auroras is an unusual name. And no I wasn't born pink.He paused. I was born blue. No worries about offending me. I'm not bothered by the words of others." He knew that the pink he was now was bright and hiding in the trees only made it worse. His silver blue eyes clashed with his new fur making it that much worse.
He hoped she wouldn't ask him how he got to be pink with polka dots though since it wasn't something he really wanted to talk about. And even if he did try to explain it to her it would just darken his mood and that would not be good for his quest. He looked around at the blinding trees. He mirrored her pose so she wouldn't think him aggressive and scanned the surrounding area. He caught the barest flash of red up in the trees but when he couldn't locate the source he just focused his attention back on the wolf in front of him. He wasn't the average wolf but he found Auroras interesting. There weren't many wolves he found intriguing. The last one which had caught his attention was DarkMoon and that encounter had ended with the love sick wolf on the ground near the falls crying. He had been rejected seconds before from the wolf he fancied himself in love with. "So I guess it's not every day you see a bright pink wolf hiding out in the forest of love huh?" It was supposed to be humorous but fell slightly flat. He couldn't shake the feeling that they weren't entirely alone which is why he was nervous.

Auroras: Earendil cocked his head as he looked at her. He leapt from the trees and landed just in front of her, he huffed as he did. She too, leant her head to the side in wonder. Is he hurt? Is he annoyed? This, the she-wolf did not know for sure and wiped away speculation. "Auroras is an unusual name. And no I wasn't born pink." So that settled it, the male had somehow turned pink eh? "Well, it sure is original." She gave a lopsided smile and swished her tail once. Auroras slumped in her stance a little, it was more now neutral and relaxed. The she-wolf felt more at ease now that she was getting to know some small bits and pieces about him, but she really did wonder how in the world he ended up up pink if he wasn't born that way. Just asking if he was probably close to a bit of an invasion, asking how would just be plain wrong, so she kept it to herself. "I was born blue. No worries about offending me. I'm not bothered by the words of others." Blue... Just like her! He mentioned that he was not offended, which was a good sign as long as he was honest. She didn't enjoy offending others anyway. His silver eyes weren't the best match in colour, but like he said, he wasn't born that way, so maybe he was somehow forced to turn pink? Was that even possible? She shook her head, the possibilities were endless, there was no point in diving into the thought of why.
The male's pose was similar to hers, his silvery eyes scanned the area, the pupils moving as he looked in a new direction. At least he was being watchful, that was always handy just in case someone decide they wanted to just pop by. She too, searched the area, and caught a flash of brown up in the trees, but dismissed it as just her imagination. Cause it was most likely just her acting up, like she occasionally did. She looked upon Earendil and found tha he was finally facing her again. "So I guess it's not every day you see a bright pink wolf hiding out in the forest of love huh?" She could tell it had humorous intentions, but seemed to miss the target just by a bit. The she-wolf laughed lightly anyway, trying to make sure he didn't think that he completely fail his little joke. "I guess not! Wait, this is the Forest of Love?!" Her voice rose noticeably, but she tried to cover it up as much as possible. But she failed. So, that's why all the leaves are pink! I remember now that someone said about the Forest of Love having monstrosities for leaves.

"Yes, I'm afraid this is indeed the forest of love." It wasn't odd to him that Auroras hadn't realized where they were. After all, he himself had often gotten so lost in his thoughts when going somewhere that when he finally snapped out of it, he had to backtrack. He relaxed the muscles in his shoulders so he appeared relaxed but his mind was still alert. Listening for the slightest disturbance was something he had grown accustomed to during his youth. He had spent so much time next to the water where anyone could sneak up behind him that he had trained himself to listen to the slightest sound. It wasn't super wolf hearing but it was slightly better than others hearing. Bringing himself back to the present he looked at the wolf in front of him. She was indeed black with smaller patches of gray around her muzzle and tail, a white belly, and faded blue paws. He didn't know what to say beyond what he had already stated, but begin to contemplate some things he could say.
He thought for a few seconds but quickly realized he could think all day. Deciding just to say what he would normally voice he relaxed further. She had said he was original by hiding out in the trees when in reality he wasn't. There were plenty of wolves who used the trees to move around the forest. But, he was the only one who did it to camouflage the fact that he was pink."So how'd you unwittingly end up in the forest of love?" Just like her he didn't want to be intrusive so he quickly added on a way out. "If you don't mind me asking, of course, you won't offend me if you don't answer." He looked at her with curiosity clear in his eyes, but while he allowed his intrigue to show he carefully hid his feeling of overwroughtness. He didn't want to bombard her with questions so he stopped there. He figured he was in for a penny, in for a pound. He wasn't gonna lose focus now.

Auroras: "Yes, I'm afraid this is indeed the forest of love." He stated, obviously not really loving the idea of being in such a place. Although she wasn't exactly in love with the idea of a pink forest, it didn't mean she hated it, basically, she was on the fence. It was, after all, an ok place to hide if you were as pink as Earendil was. In her mind, she laughed slightly, at least the bright fur had some kind of use. The male's stance was a little more relaxed, more like her own again, which she liked to see. It meant that they at least felt a little similar. She flicked her ears at the sound of rustling and glanced around, only finding nothing but bushes and blank space. Skyla shook her head. Great, now I am hearing things. It was amazing to find that her senses were going stupid and she was also quite annoyed. That meant they were useless, no real function.
Earendil was still in front of her, a concentrating and thinking sort of expression was written all over his face. She didn't care if he was thinking, everyone needed to think, they needed to think about many things. Food, water, shelter, all the necessities and other important stuff in how to react or speak to certain wolves. It was something she liked to do, after all. "So how'd you unwittingly end up in the forest of love?" The male asked before adding. "If you don't mind me asking, of course, you won't offend me if you don't answer." She tilted her head to the side before returning it back to normal. "Not at all!" Her voice was plainly joyful. "It is actually a short story. You see, I just was passing through and then I saw you and thought why not say hi." She put it plainly and simply as she possibly could in the attempts not to bore him. "Then again, I wasn't exactly planning where I would go next. So, I guess this is it..." The she-wolf trailed off, leaving Earendil a space to reply.

"Well at least nothing bad's happened yet. Say, do you feel as though we're being watched? It's probably just me being paranoid but... I'd rather be safe than sorry." There wasn't any breeze to explain the rustling and he was a little on edge because of it. He relaxed against the bark of one tree to take the weight off of his injured paws. He didn't want to come across as a nut but was tired of feeling like he was crazy. He never used to have this problem. Sure, he was always cautious but never felt like he was caged. Maybe it was because he wasn't around the water. He didn't know the cause but he hated the effect it had on his nerves. She had paused expecting him to reply but he didn't know what to say. There were times when he could be as chatty as a beaver and other times when he couldn't find words to make conversation if his life depended on it.
"At least you aren't here because you're pink and want to hide. Because you can't imagine how humiliating that is." He smiled at her. In retrospect, it wasn't hard for anyone to imagine humiliating situations. It could always be worse. He could have been given pink polka dot eyes as well. Then he'd match himself to the tee. He sighed inwardly. She was most likely going to leave. After all, it wasn't like the conversation was riveting to anyone. Heck, he was starting to bore himself with the train of thoughts he had been having. He closed his eyes for a minute to rest the corneas. They were having a pink overload and were starting to hurt.

Auroras: The male began to speak and mentioned something that was kind of on her own mind. "Well at least nothing bad's happened yet. Say, do you feel as though we're being watched? It's probably just me being paranoid but... I'd rather be safe than sorry." She dipped her head. "It is not just you, I too, have the odd feeling that we are being watched." The corner of her eyes flashed. "But I do not have the conclusive evidence to prove it." She was still relaxed in her stance, but more watchful than before. If they were both feeling the same way then, maybe it was true. Maybe she wasn't going senseless. Maybe she wasn't completely paranoid. And just maybe, they were both actually right.
Earendil was now leaning against the large, round base of a nearby tree. If you can even call them that. The she-wolf scoffed in the back of her mind. It is not like they are normal anyway. She looked the male up and down, she had yet to get a good look at him and now that the branches weren't completely obstructing her view, it was good chance. He was a pastel pink, daisy yellow spots found their way along his torso, cutting off at his tail and the high section of both legs. Pale lime green ones ran down each leg on every side, on either cheek sat fuschia dots. Quite tech combo, if she did say so herself. "At least you aren't here because you're pink and want to hide. Because you can't imagine how humiliating that is." Gee, she had never really thought about it that way. Now that she thought about it, the whole colour scheme must be quite embarrassing, to say the least. There may of been times that she had had something happen to her that was equal, maybe even more humiliating than pink and polka dot fur but as of the moment, she couldn't think of any. "True." He was smiling at her, at least he wasn't completely furious.
The sun was setting now, the sky was tinted with soft oranges, pinks and of course, white. The rays muddled and played with the pair's shadows, making an odd distraction. "You hungry?" The she-wolf asked. "'Cause if you are, we could always go on a hunt. Plus, better than this small talk, right?"

"Goodness yes. This is killing me." He was so tired of wracking his mind for things to say. He wanted to somehow be in a better mood but it was not the easiest thing to do when you were trapped in the body of a cotton candy pink wolf. A hunt would hopefully relieve some of the need for speech. He looked left to right. "That is of course if we can even spot something in this joke of a forest. And I didn't mean to offend you by saying that it's killing me. I'm just not very good with small talk sometimes.." ((Sorry for the short reply, I'm all out of words.))

OOC: Don't worry about it, I totally understand! I am having a mind blank right now, that is why the reply is so late.
Auroras: So they were in agreement. The pair were both sick and tired of small, talk and just wanted to get to something more exciting. A hunt was good for their stomachs and a good distraction from the boring conversation they had been recently involved in. She looked at the male and saw the sunset just in the background behind him. The sky was painted soft tones of red, pink, orange and of course, grey and white. At least the sunset pink wasn't as blinding as the forest's leaves were, which was a good change. The shadows played, flickered and danced on the ground, bending in ways even shadows wouldn't normally bend and made an interesting show. She shook her head. I didn't come here to see the shadows come out to play, I am here for a hunt... Auroras shook herself free of the thoughts on shadows and focused again on Earendil, now that her view wasn't completely obstructed by leaves and branches, it was a good chance to look the male up and down, see what her (technically) really looked like. He was a pale, pastel pink, daisy yellow polka dots of different sizes lines his torso, cutting off at his neck, edge of his tail and the top of each leg. Light green polka dots which were slightly smaller than the yellow ones, they ran down each leg, right down to his paws. Quite the combo, if she did say do herself.
"That is of course if we can even spot something in this joke of a forest. And I didn't mean to offend you by saying that it's killing me. I'm just not very good with small talk sometimes.." She simply laughed. "All good, it was starting to hurt my eyes. Wait—no, make that it was blinding me." Auroras looked each way, hoping to catch the scent of something or even see something in the monstrosity that was the Forest Of Love. "Lead the way, if you find something, you'll have a temporary advantage.". She tilted her head at him. "You know, being pink and all."

He nodded at the she wolf and took off into the surrounding woods. He crouched down and looked around, trying to see something juicy in the surrounding pink. He might blend in better than the blue, gray, and black wolf did but it didn't make it any easier to see. There was a flash of white through the leaves of the trees. Sniffing the air he found it to be a rabbit. He crouched down further and skulked after it. He was waiting for the right moment to attack. One step, two step, three step. He looked behind him to signal to Auroras that if she wanted first kill she should attack now before he did.

Auroras: It was now their time to hunt. Their time to hopefully find snack and find a way out of a conversation that could of easily taken the top prize for 'boring'. She trailed just behind, but just far enough so that if the male stopped suddenly, she wouldn't be bumping into his backside. It was pretty close to the truth that all the pink was starting to blind her, her vision was covered in it. Even the bland snow seemed exciting, which said a lot. She had her nose close to the white layer and tried to sniff out prey, trying to block out the distinctive smell of the wolf just in front of her. So far, it was just paw-prints that lay in the shallow snow. Just the familiar prints of her companion. She looked up a little more, just for a moment. The male was now crouched, ready, focused, all the right ways to approach a hunt. So the she-wolf followed in suit, her underbelly fur just lightly scraping soundlessly along the cover of snow. She could smell the scent of a wolf nearby, but dismissed it as the candy pink wolf's scent just overtaking her.
Earendil looked at her, his expression told all. He had found something, she sniffed the air just slightly, it smelt of him and a rabbit. Rabbit, delightful. The female charged up, her tail swishing high in the air like a flag caught in the wind. Then, she leapt. High enough to jump the wolf just ahead of her but quick enough to not give the meal a chance to get away. She was on it, before it knew it, it was dead. A swift blow of a single claw ended its helpless life. She held it in her jaw, small droplets of scarlet blood occasionally ran down her jaw and stained the snow. That is when she saw him. A wolf. And no, she was not talking about Earendil, but a new wolf instead. She almost dropped the prey that hung limply in her mouth. In his, the new male held a plump bird. Which now began to raise the question:
What was he doing in the trees?
