Nyx;
He looked her right in the eyes. This would make some wolves uncomfortable, but Nyx was not 'some wolves'. She grinned manically, staring right back. She could see that she had been right about the brute: tough enough, but with a weak spot oh so easy to exploit. Nyx's gaze flashed to Joi and then back again, and a hissing snicker rose from her throat. Oh the things she could do to that little wolf. Why, at that very moment she could envelope all three of them in a dome of darkness so impossible to see in that they would be as good as lost, and snatch away Joi like a spirit in the night; however, Nyx herself would be as blind as the others in that scenario. No, she would keep that trick to herself and wait until the big brute tried to attack her. It wasn't the fear of injury or really fear at all that made her cautious—it was her intelligence. Only a fool would approach a wolf like Genoci and not have a backup plan.
Her eyes burned and flickered within their sockets, and eventually Genoci looked away.
He then requested her name and 'backstory,' and Nyx actually laughed. Did he not understand, yet? Wolves did not request information of Nyx. She tossed her head, earning herself a hearty crack, then licked her dry lips. Her 'backstory' would make this wolf's fur curl. She could tell him things about death that he wouldn't have considered even in his worst nightmares. But she did not. Instead, she batted her eyes and looked the two of them up and down once more.
"My name is Nyx."
