Chhaya had wandered away from her brother, Kiran, once more. She didn't dwell or even notice the fact that she was all alone and didn't particularly care if she worried her brother to an early grave. In her dream world right then she didn't feel the jagged edges of the mountain she was climbing or notice her rising elevation. She was focused on her own fantasies and dreams. She was having a lovely flashback of killing her first rabbit, of sinking her teeth in the soft fur at it's nape and feeling the warm blood rush into her mouth. She had only accomplished this feat by sneaking away from Kiran during one of their hunts. Up until that point Kiran had always hunted up her food as well as his. She was jerked out of her mind abruptly as she realized that she was on a flat surface once more.
She looked around in quiet curiosity wondering where she had stumbled this time. She vaguely recalled her brother mentioning that wolves in this valley sometimes came to a mountain to get powers and healing. She hadn't been paying much attention to him then, but then she rarely did pay any attention to Kiran. She didn't remember if Kiran had pointed the mountain out and there wasn't any sign proclaiming this to be the mountain the White Wolves resided on. Still, she figured it wouldn't hurt to try and test the waters. She'd call out and if nobody responded then she could be on her merry way. She'd find her brother, assure him she was fine, and life would continue on as always. "Hello? Is anyone here?" Chhaya felt distinctly silly, sitting there and apparently calling out to thin air. Then again, she spent much of her time in a fabricated world, wandering around and making her brother fret and worry about her. She shrugged and ignoring her aching paws, stood almost ready to leave. She'd give it another minute just to make sure no one was here then she'd leave.
She thought to herself that if this wasn't the mountain where the White Wolves resided she would go and find the real mountain some other time. She thought that maybe it would be nice to have invisibility to hide from her brother whenever she wanted and stick around to watch him wear a tread in the earth from his frantic pacing. A slow evil smile spread over her face. Yes, what fun that would be. The smile disappeared to be replaced with her usual far away look. Any power would suffice really, so long as she could lord it over brother, tease him about being such a worry wart. Finally prove to him that she could take care of herself. That he didn't need to hover like she was a pup in need of a caretaker. She was a grown wolf and should be able to find her own way in life. Instead, she had a worrywart brother who was afraid of her being out of his sight for more than the time it took to kill a rabbit. Maybe with a power she could finally show him that she deserved the freedom other adult wolves reveled in. That is if she didn't die in her quest for power of course. She had heard that the White Wolves could be very selective about who they gave powers to. Being oblivious to the feelings of other wolves had it's disadvantages. She could very well offend the wolf who came to greet her and be killed. She didn't let her thoughts linger on theses thoughts, rather accepting it as a risk of her plan, uncaring of what it would do to her bother if she died or disappeared and never came back. She focused back on the real world and listened closely for any sound that would indicate that she was not alone on the mountain top.

Geist;
The evil wolf was lounging in her den. Not just an evil wolf. The evil wolf. Many came to her whole, and left broken or deformed. It was her little game, and how she loved to play with the little mortals that came her way. Today, however, a wolf named Chhaya was approaching. How curious. Her thought lingered heavily on her brother, but not just him, more how she related to him. She also had her mind set on a certain power. That was interesting too. So often, wolves came to her with no set idea in mind. How Geist loathed those instances. She could just squish those wolves between her toes for all the happiness they brought her; and sometimes she did. She snickered at the thought, and the sound came out of her mouth and out of the den like thunder.
Chhaya had made herself known. Geist rolled her eyes, feeling lazy, but then teleported with a bang and a flash of white light. Suddenly, she was standing right behind the mortal. "Oh I'm here alright." She barked, close at hand now, her breath moving Chhaya's fur. "What do you want, little wolf?" Her voice was not necessarily kind.
((Could you link me to Chhaya's bio please ^^ I can't find it ))

"I want what most wolves who come here want. A power." Chhaya didn't seem to notice how close Geist was still focused on how she had made her entrance. It might have been sudden, but it didn't shock her, rather it fascinated her. She also wasn't afraid of Geist but that didn't mean she wasn't intimidated by her. She was powerful and Chhaya recognized this fact, respected her for it, but didn't allow it to stop her from stating what she wanted. Maybe she should have paid more attention to her surroundings rather than her musings. She didn't even know if she would be able to find her way back down now. She shifted as Geist's breath brushed her fur and looked at the white wolf with guarded curiosity. She had said she wanted a power but wondered if this wolf wanted her to be more specific. "Something that would let me hide would be nice, but I'd be content with any you choose to give me." She didn't think there was anything more to be said, knowing that she wouldn't get the power for free. She couldn't say why but she felt restless here, waiting for this wolf to decide what she wanted to do with her. ( Here you go.)

((Thanks pal!))
Geist;
Her mind was full of an awe-inspired sort of reverence. Geist expected nothing less, for she was the greatest White Wolf. The deity all evil wolves looked up to (or should). It was with this in mind that Geist kept her temper in check—for if she maimed and frightened-off ever sorry evil mortal that came her way, why, there would be nobody left to revere her. She lifted a lip in agitation, hating being controlled, even by her own self.
To her credit, the female spoke up and didn't allow her voice to waver. Geist would have made fun of her for that. She was straight-forward, but with enough respect to remain whole, for now. She specified what she would like, and Geist instantly knew that it was Invisibility that called her name. She was clever not to name it out loud though, for naming it out loud was to make it real, and if it was real... it could be denied. "Invisibility," Geist mused, circling the female, her paws never touching the ground. "Or Chameleon?" She mentioned the latter because she knew it wasn't the female's first choice. "No, not Chameleon for you..." What game should Geist play that day? Should she wave the gift in front of the female's nose and then snatch it up at the last moment? Should she give her the gift after all, keeping her on her toes? Geist landed gently out of her teleport somewhere in front of the female, clicking her claws against the stone absently. She was getting more and more irritated by the minute as she decided what to do.
"Should I give you Invisibility?" She asked bluntly, swinging her head at the female. "Or should I chop off one of your toes?" She grinned, and her eyes flashed. She had found her game. "Pick." Was she being honest? Or was she playing with the female's mind?

Chhaya looked at Geist with a hint of amusement. So, she was to choose, was she? She thought about pointing out the fact that she was biased since she wanted to keep her toes and she wanted a power. She didn't know what the correct choice was, but she wasn't afraid of risk. "You could give me the power because you feel like it, or you could give me a quest to earn it." Her eyes took on a contemplative look and suddenly she wasn't looking at Geist but far away. Her head jerked to the side and her eyes focused back on the goddess.
"Then again, you could always take my toe in exchange for the power." It was said in a soft voice, but it didn't hold a note of fear. It was Geist's choice. She could do so much more than take away her toe and she knew that. The idea only came to her mind because of something her parents had told her as a pup. An eye for an eye. It was a common saying and while they hadn't meant it in this way, it fit the situation well enough. She sensed that Geist had no love of being restrained and yet she didn't think she had said anything to lead her to think she might be telling her what to do. She had been told what to do and she had offered her opinion. What's one toe if I could have invisibility? Chhaya couldn't say, but she knew that there were much worse sacrifices she could make to get her desire. Maybe she should have thought more about her words, but she refused to hesitate. She was curious at the very least.
She wanted to know how the goddess would react to her suggestions. If they would anger her or just amuse her. Chhaya didn't know the answer to her question but in hindsight maybe that was a good thing. She wasn't sure if she would want to have the mind of a goddess, even one that seemed to be as interesting as Geist.

Geist;
So she was willing to lose a toe for a power, eh? In retrospect, if Geist were to take a toe, it would mean there would be less of her to turn invisible. Her sharp claws continued ticking away on the surface of the rock. She had wanted a straight answer. She had had such a fun idea planned for whatever Chhaya's answer might have been. The evil White Wolf made a face, then teleport ed with another bang to the top of the rocky slope leading into her den. She half-toyed with the idea of juts disappearing without another word, leaving Chhaya to wonder whether she would wake up invisible one day, less a toe. But that wasn't fun in the now, exactly, and Geist was all about quick gratification.
"That wasn't a choice," She said, her voice smooth and terrible, her tail flicking. "I know of my options. You didn't even list all of them, in fact. My choices consist of giving a power for free, giving no power at all, taking a toe for a power, taking a toe for free..." She was enjoying this encounter, so Chhaya was not in danger yet. "But you didn't make your choice. Your choice is whether I take a toe, or give you a power." Her eyes flashed once more. Would a clever wolf take option B, or would they try to work around Geist's supposed little game and take option A? What to pick, what to pick? "A single word answer will suffice," She grinned, loving her wickedness. "Toe, or power?"

Chhaya internally rolled her eyes. It seemed she wouldn't be allowed to skirt around answering the question. Either choice would lead to something, and it was just a question of trying to see what game Geist was playing at. Should I try and see it as a test of my intelligence? Or should I just give her the answer from my head? Chhaya mused about other things, but her mind always circled back to the dilemma she had been presented. She hadn't even realized she had a choice. After all, from what she had heard of the white wolves, the only choice mortals had was the choice in coming here. Even that choice was not always offered so Chhaya didn't know why Geist insisted she choose. She cocked her head towards the goddess who had moved to the entrance to her den. Is she planning on leaving or is she just doing this to hurry my answer?"
What could Chhaya say? She had the choice of answering and potentially receiving a power or of answering and being left to wonder if her choice was going to come back to bite her in the tail. She wondered if Geist was planning on making her play a game of chance. She thought that Kiran had mentioned how the goddess often made the wolves play a game where they had to pick something and whatever they chose was what they got. Some also said that Geist was fond of making a deadly poison one of the things that wolves could potentially receive. She took a breath and figuring she had already procrastinated more than what was wise opened her mouth to answer. "Power."

Geist;
As Chhaya battled internally, Geist watched on in glee. Tormenting wolves, even just light tormenting born within the mind brought her happiness. What was she playing at? What could her intentions be? Even if she hadn't been able to hear Chhaya's thoughts as loudly as if she had spoken them, they would have been plain to read on her face. So intent on appearing confident and sure, but so unsure. So unsure that it hurt. Oh, this was fun. Geist should play subtle games more often. It was turning out to be even more fun than the obvious 'don't pick the wrong potion or I'll turn you into a toadstool' sort of fun—though that had it's benefits as well, of course.
Finally, Chhaya's thoughts quieted, and Geist's sickly, evil eyes flicked to her own. A dark smile crooked her lips, and her claws began tap tapping away once more. What would her choice be? Geist purposely stopped listening to her thoughts, so she could be surprised by the answer. Oh, she had a plan in mind, alright...
"Power."
Ah, she would be so bold? She would take Geist at her word? Never a smart thing. Never clever... but she had obeyed. Geist's chilling smile stretched wider, and for a moment she appeared to grow even taller. Her white tail lashed behind her. Keep the mortals guessing. If she let Chhaya live this time, perhaps the next wolf that came would have their guard down just in time to be roasted. Geist met Chhaya's eyes once more, then disappeared into a flash of nothingness.
Chhaya will feel the flash of light inside of her, as if cold water had just been dumped into her veins. The icey-feeling will race through her, from her toes to her ears, filling her, choking her, killing her..... And then it will cease entirely. The sun will come back out, and Chhaya will be able to draw breath again.
Chhaya now has the power of Level 1 Invisibility. Congratulations!

As Chhaya caught her breath from the icy pain that had consumed her, something akin to freedom lit upon her. She felt lighter as if she could go anywhere and nobody would see her. If no one could see her, no one could bother her, and no one could interrupt her thoughts. She knew well that for now, her power had serious limitations. Geist was gone, out of Chhaya's sight now, but Chhaya was sure that she could still see her. The wolf was great, the stuff of legends, but despite her mind games, Chhaya was still not necessarily afraid of Geist. Her power, yes, the wolf herself, no.
Either way, she had what she wanted and that was fine. She had no more business here to be soiling the sacred home of the goddess with her presence. Knowing this, and not wishing to agitate the queen of darkness herself, Chhaya bent her head in respect and turned to go down the mountain. She would think of this encounter later, obsess over it, try and recall every detail of it, she was sure, but for now, she wanted to leave. She had plans to carry out, after all, and she couldn't do that here. She set off down the mountain, forgetting about the turmoil her mind had been in moments before, and like before not seeming to notice the fact that she was going down a steep mountain.
