CalypsoEarendil, with help from Onyx, had managed to arrive at the mountain where White Magic and her daughters lived. As his eyes settled on the mountain a sour taste entered his mouth and his face twisted as he remembered the last time he had been here. Stop it. That has nothing to do with why you're here now. He glanced at Onyx then back to the mountain and sighed. He was going to have to climb up the land form. That should be fun. He started to struggle up the mountain unsure if Onyx would follow him up. He didn't know why the wolf of healing thought it a good idea to live on top of a mountain when there were bound to be some wolves who were crippled but he didn't think it was his place to question it. Maybe it's a test of some sort. His paw slipped from the place he had placed it, and he stopped thinking all together trying to focus. He made it up the mountain but his head was spinning from the loss of blood, both from the bite on his shoulder and the scratches on his leg. He made it to where he knew White Magic lived and hesitated. "Hello? White Magic? He hoped that would suit for a call for help since he felt like passing out entirely.

Onyx;
The trip from the meadow had taken a while. The concern in Onyx's chest only grew more every time the two wolves stepped forward. When they finally did arrive at the mountain, it wasn't very much of a welcoming sight. Up until now they had been travelling across mostly flat land and had trouble doing so. Now they had to climb a mountain side and get near the very top of it in order to reach White Magic. It was for sure going to be a difficult task, but it had to be done, for Earendil's sake.
The two began the trek generally well, only slipping a few times. The orange and black-spotted she-wolf made sure all of her focus was kept on him and his paws. Each time he would slip, she would either lean against him more to help him regain balance or she would lightly grab his scruff and pull him back to his feet. It seemed like they were walking forever before they finally arrived at the den that she assumed belonged to White Magic. They had passed a few other entrances in the wall of the mountain, so this had to be it.
The trip wasn't for her, though, it was for Earendil to get healed, so she stayed silent, only there to keep him from toppling over under the stress and pain he was in.

White Magic;
A rotten smell came to White Magic's nose as she was lounging in her den. She wrinkled her nose and closed her eyes, reaching out with her mind and feeling for the soul in need of healing. She found it easily, of course she did, and sighed to herself. Rabies? She did a quick scan of the wolf's past and saw the source—a fox, clearly rabid. She watched as Earendil did not give the sick creature the respect it deserved, laughing and underestimating it. Such carelessness was not something that White Magic thought well of, especially when it resulted in the need of her help. Of course, she took joy in helping—but she did not take joy in needing to help. It would suit her just fine if every mortal wolf took care of themselves and she became obsolete; but alas, such things were never to be. They were mortal for a reason, and she, immortal for similar reasons.
Earendil called out, the stink of sickness all around him. White Magic exited her cave, stopping just short of the mouth of it. She quirked her head gently, eyes soft but not without their share of dissatisfaction. "Earendil," She greeted him, her voice soft, gentle, and as old as time. She turned. "Onyx."

So the Great wolf of healing was displeased with him. He knew that he wasn't exactly what one could call smart but he was also sure that there were other wolves who came here to heal injuries caused by stupidity. Although, Earendil hadn't gotten these injuries by being stupid, he had gotten them because at the time he didn't care if he lived or died. He still didn't have any strong feelings on the matter. He knew that what happened happened. If he was going to die like this then he would accept that. If White Magic turned him away, he would accept it. He had learned long ago that the white wolves were not quite as great as some claimed. Maybe that was just him though. It wasn't that he didn't respect them, just that he didn't worship them as some did. He was judging White Magic by something one of her daughters had done and he realized now that it was unfair. He resolved that he wouldn't judge her unfairly again.
"White Magic, Goddess of healing. So nice to finally meet you.I have come to request healing for the wounds a rabid fox inflicted. I thank you for your time and your consideration of my request." His words were stilted, stopping and starting again at random intervals and his eyes taking on a glassy look.

Onyx;
As the great White Magic exited her den, Onyx couldn't help but stare for a moment. She was beautiful. Though, that was to be expected. She redirected her gaze, glancing at Earendil. He was in bad shape and wasn't going to get any better without White Magic's help, but would she be willing to help him? She likely already knew what happened to him; she had to know. When the orange and black she-wolf had seen his actions during the encounter with the rabid fox, she wasn't pleased either. He had been foolish and, honestly, deserved what he got. But, despite that, Onyx wasn't that kind of wolf. She couldn't deny that he did deserve to be punished, but not by death. Almost no wolf deserved that fate.
When the white wolf addressed her, she looked up to the she-wolf, bowing her head in respect, but not speaking. She allowed Earendil to be the one to speak, for he was the reason they were in her presence in the first place. She had to admit that she didn't know what any of his words meant, save for a few phrases, but it wasn't really her business, in a way. This trip was for him, not her, so he would deal with this himself. If White Magic refused to heal him, then she would do what she could for him before he passed. But, until then, she would only do what she was currently required to: keep him standing.

White Magic;
The pain was getting to the male, and fast. White Magic kept him in her eye line, but did not move further. She sat as still as stone, watching over them with depthless blue eyes. The other, Onyx, kept Earendil standing by supporting him almost completely under her own weight. Watch Magic still didn't move, and only after a long moment did an ear flick.
"You are not evil, Earendil..." Her words were quiet, but powerful. She was not as showy with her power as her daughters were—but that did not make her any less able. And of course, he knew of his own alliance, but it was worth it to mention. White Magic did not heal evil wolves except under extraordinarily rare circumstances. Geist could bless them all she wanted, but White Magic felt no ties to such beings. But Earendil was not of that mindset; lucky for him. "I am not opposed to healing you—but I first must know that you have learned something from this encounter. In worlds more harsh than ours, a wolf like you would die, and quickly. There would be no blessing to draw the sickness from your blood—no cloth to wipe clean your mistake..." Her eyes narrowed slightly. He would surely pass out soon, which is why White Magic intended to heal him after his reply—but she wanted to hear it from his mouth, that her healing wouldn't be for naught. "What have you learned?"

Earendil's face contorted at the question. He felt like laughing at it, though he couldn't say why. He also had half a mind to tell White Magic that he had learned nothing, just to spare her the trouble of being nice to him. What fun. Even my thoughts are sarcastic now. He didn't of course, knowing that she was eons older than him and could have just left him to die without hearing him out. Keeping this in mind he racked his thoughts for a sincere answer to it.
"I learned... that I should give nature the respect it deserves. Maybe I should think through my actions, come up with a plan before I jump into a situation knowing that I may die. However, I can't promise you that I will always remember this lesson if you help me, so I understand if you refuse to heal me." He bowed his head and closed his eyes. "I know there are wolves worthier of second chances than I am. And I respect that, but I also know that in the end, it's your choice to make." He fell silent again, knowing that he had nothing left to say.

Onyx;
In a way, it almost felt awkward to be standing where she was, a support-pillar for the dying wolf. She really had no right to be there in White Magic's presence. Earendil had been a fool and basically gave himself a death-sentence through his actions. Even though the thought had come to her mind, Onyx wasn't going to let him die for now. If White Magic did refuse his request of healing, than she would have no choice but to leave him as he was, for she had no healing powers. She wouldn't feel proud of leaving him, but there wouldn't be anything she could do for him except let karma lead him down its path.
But in that moment she set aside those thoughts and focused on the current situation. He wasn't dead yet and there was still that glimmer of hope standing right in front of them. Whether that snow-colored glimmer would truly spare him was unknown to her mortal mind. She could only assume what the immortal she-wolf had going through her head, and even that action was dangerous, considering she could read the minds of regular wolves.
Once the two wolves had begun to speak of his future, she turned her gaze away as to not be rude. She had nothing to do with this. She did somewhat hope that White Magic would heal him, but then again, he did say himself that he couldn't guarantee he had really learned his lesson from this experience, meaning he may do it again. Though, she likely wouldn't be around when that time came. And if she was, she would likely help him again, despite the foolishness of it.

White Magic;
The goddess rolled her eyes heavily—so heavily, in fact, that the whites of her eyes flashed a blood-red—at Earendil's thoughts. Who did this wolf think he was? She searched back in his history, seeing that he had shown the same attitude with her daughters as well. Did he never learn? First he was turned pink, and after the switch had the audacity to show even more attitude to her daughter, who could have very well killed him instead. That option certainly would have saved White Magic a lot of time.
He spoke then, and a thin line of smoke left White Magic's nostrils. She was not pleased. Even in Earendil's fever-minded state, he would feel the ground tremor beneath him at her sheer power (though Onyx would not). His life was but a spark that she could all-too-easily snub out... nobody would shed a tear for the polka-dotted and pink wolf with an attitude problem...
White Magic turned her gaze to the female. "I'm sure he is thankful that you brought him here—but I cannot say the same. You have done well, and I believe your time here has been well fulfilled. Thank you." She then turned to Earendil and her eyes widened slightly. "And you. You, I am not impressed with. Although foolish, you chose to tell me you haven't learned a thing. I believe that you actually think that by saying such things, I will either be so touched by your honesty that I'll heal you outright—or that by saying such things you've now tricked me into healing you even though you don't want or need it. I can assure you, you need it. Unless you want to be a pink corpse, forgotten and alone halfway down the mountain." She frowned. Well, he had basically sealed his own fate with his words.
"I will heal you this time, and this time only—for you haven't learned your lesson and you admit as much. Perhaps in this way it will force you to be more respectful and careful—since from this moment on, any broken bones, diseases, injuries from battle and the like—will not be seen by me. Never again. This time, and this time alone." She had half a mind to only heal some of the rabies as a penalty for being so bullheaded; but then again, she figured a complete ban from ever being healed again was a pretty big punishment already. "You will now be at a complete disadvantage to other good or neutral wolves in the valley. Remember that, and maybe it will find it's way through that thick head of yours."
She turned on her heel and faded back into the darkness of her cave, but stayed by the opening just in case Earendil had any half-witted retorts to throw back her way. Just how far was he willing to push his luck? Though White Magic kept her word—quickly, and soon after she is done speaking, Earendil will feel the poison leeching out of his veins. In a few minutes he will be well enough to travel back down the mountain and continue on his (now forcedly more careful) life.

Earendil was surprised when she healed him. In all honesty, he was expecting her to turn him away, and in a way, he was glad she hadn't. It had come as a price but he was fine with that. He had enough of this mountain to last him a lifetime. He had been honest with her when he said that he might forget the lesson but he hadn't said it with the intent of tricking her. He had simply been being honest and as far as he was concerned, that was better than lying through his teeth, especially since she was likely to have the same mindreading ability as her daughters. Before long he felt well enough to travel down the mountain on his own. He turned and went to leave but stopped just before doing so. "Thank you." He was speaking both to Oynx and to White Magic but he didn't stop to clarify that fact.
Even though White Magic had gone back into her cave he had a feeling she would hear him and that was good enough. He left the home of White Magic quickly, not stopping to say goodbye to Onyx, not knowing if she would understand the word, and also feeling that she would be glad to be rid of him. he agreed with that sentiment, knowing he had caused enough trouble for her as it was. When he reached the bottom, he quickly went along his way, not really sure where he was going this time.
Exit Earendil
