Betrayal and friendship(tagged)

Chhaya, Kiran, and Juno had wandered away from the area they had been in before. Now they were in a pink forest, and it boy was it ever pink, even the leaves underfoot. Chhaya wondered if that male wolf would follow through with his word since her plans had changed. Originally she had planned for the meeting to be in the barrens but realized now that an area with plentiful vegetation would be more plausible. She turned to her brother and said a few idle words, not talking to Juno, because she had nothing to say that would help
her case.

Now she glanced about and decided that this place would be good enough for her purpose. Now she just had to think of a reason for Juno to go off a bit further. She didn't like how her plans had so many holes in it and there were so many things that could go wrong. There was nothing she could do to change that and knew it so didn't worry overmuch. "Well this looks like a good place to stop. What do you two think?" Patience. I must have patience and then I won't have to worry about Juno's or Kiran's approval. Patience first.


((Didn't think we should have it in the redwoods so I guess the forest of love will do.))

Juno;

"I think this is okay. Kiran?" Before listening to Kiran's answer Juno looks around poking her head into places that weren't visible from where the group of three are standing, being extremely cautious of the surroundings, not wanting another incident like what had happened with Chhaya. Juno returns back to the pair, deciding this could be when both her and Chhaya could finally become somewhat friends and they would both be able to be around each other along with Kiran.

"Anyways, Chhaya. I really hope we could become friends." Juno speaks bluntly, not worrying about choosing subtle words to 'imply' Juno wants to be getting along with Chhaya, she just wanted to flat out tell her. She genuinely smiles toward the other female, showing respect toward her. She was so focused on getting to become friends with Chhaya that she had almost forgotten about Kiran's presence.

[Argus]

"Of course we're friends Juno." She wouldn't say anything more on the subject, knowing that would end with her losing control and voicing her thoughts. She looked over at Kiran wondering what he was doing and found him sitting down against a tree trunk, watching them. She couldn't tell what he was thinking, but then again she had never tried doing that before. Before all she had needed to know about Kiran was if he was listening to her. His thoughts still didn't matter much to her but they would have been nice to know. It would be even better if nothing had changed, if neither of them had ever encountered Juno.

Kiran watched the emotions play across Chhaya's face. What he saw didn't please him, hate and anger two that appeared again and again. There wasn't much he could do though and he just thanked the power that she was facing him and not Juno. He didn't particularly care where they stopped since it wouldn't make much difference. I wonder why everything is pink here." He didn't think anyone would know the answer to his question but he hoped that it would break up the tension between the others. He glanced around feeling odd about this place. It wasn't the unusual color that made him uneasy. He shifted feeling that the trees had eyes. We're the only ones here. Stop being so paranoid.

Juno;

After Kiran's questioning of the strange color this forest was, Juno's mind was completely distracted and she completely forgot about the words Chhaya and herself had just exchanged. Finally, she's able to look up at the trees and around at the ground, noticing the vibrant pink color of the whole area. It didn't take her very long to notice the eerie feeling in the air. Looking over to Kiran, she saw he noticed it too and then looking over to Chhaya. Juno's eyes narrowed toward Chhaya, She knows something.

"I'm going to look around for a bit! I won't go too far. The she-wolf turned and disappeared into the pink trees, getting ready to encounter whatever lurks out in the forest.

[Argus]

Well that was easier than I thought. Chhaya had expected to have to make up some reason for Juno to go farther into the trees, but instead she had done that herself. She cheered inwardly and looked towards Kiran. "I think we should follow her Kiran. Just to see what she's up to." Kiran looked at her in incredulously and shook his head. He spoke a little, lecturing her on her attitude towards Juno, and it was all she could do not to roll her eyes at him. "Think about it though Kiran. Don't you find it odd that she just left us here for no reason except 'to look around'? I think she's up to something but if you're too close minded to make sure she's not up to anything then I'll just go and see myself. Wait. I'll go but only to prove how wrong you are. Kiran sighed and stood and together they walked quietly in the direction Juno had gone.

Kiran didn't know why his sister had insisted they go and spy on Juno, but he didn't think much about it. Chhaya was fond of making up stories in her mind and she often couldn't distinguish between reality and imagination. She probably had a theory that Juno was up to no good and wanted to use him for some obscure reason. He didn't want to anger her even further so he went along, but he was almost positive they'd find Juno doing exactly what she had told them she was going to do. Just looking around and making sure there wasn't any danger.

Juno;

A small wander brings Juno straight to where she believes the feeling is originating from, a small area surrounded by so many trees that it's almost like a wall between her and the rest of the forest, blocking her view from anything in the world outside of where Juno stood. The eerieness being more potent than before, her body becoming defensive as she looks around for whatever is producing the strange aura. It didn't take her long to find the origin of the strange feeling, a dark grey wolf with purple covering his paws and the tip of his ears. He has a sweet smile painted across his face and he walks slowly toward Juno, causing her to back up as he grows closer.

Chess;

Chess spots the trio of wolves with a smirk, instantly spotting his 'target' being that she looks much different from the other two. A wolf with white and blue fur and a weird marking Hmm, strange. His eyes then find the male, with blue fur and a few white spots on his front legs. Seems like they've noticed me. Chess smirks and makes his way to an area crowded with trees to wait for the female.

Juno eventually finds him and he can already see the defense she holds up against him. He walks closer but realizes she won't stand still.

"Hello! I'm Chess! Forgive me for getting all up in your space. I'll back up" Might as well get introductions out of the way. He decides to get Juno to trust him a bit more before the pair shows up. He maintains his smile while his face is still insight of Juno but once he turns around to move back to his original position a malicious look appears on his face with a smirk once he feels the presence of the brother and sister duo grow closer. I wonder what would happen if I rat Chhaya out His smirk only grows when he feels them growing closer. My, my, my... How interesting that might be. I wonder how Chhaya would react. Chess internally chuckles to himself before he turns back to Juno with a friendly face once again.

[Argus]

Chhaya and Kiran stumbled onto the spot where Juno and Chess were but hung back, allowing the trees to conceal them. Chhaya was slightly nervous about what Chess was going to do and hoped that he had enough sense to keep quiet about her part in this. If he doesn't he really will find himself with a slit from throat to belly. She refused to dwell on that possibility instead breathing a silent sigh of relief that Kiran had walked within hearing distance after Chess had introduced himself. Chhaya had walked slightly ahead of Kiran, so she had heard him, but Kiran hadn't. Sloppy wolf. He should never introduce himself to a wolf he plans on tricking. Especially if that trick is for another wolf's benefit. Although I suppose it's a good thing if they don't seem like total enemies. She hoped that it wouldn't prove too much of a problem.

Kiran
Kiran had to admit something was funny when he noticed there was another wolf with Juno, but he still didn't find anything horribly suspicious of the situation. He tried to go to her and see what was up, and who the new wolf was, but Chhaya held him back. She shook her head and with a puzzled look, Kiran acquiesced. He stood back not sure what was going on here but knowing that he should at least try and see what was going on. While his first instinct might have been to approach them maybe Chhaya's idea of staying back and listening held some merit. He didn't know what the situation was here, and it might be that this wolf and Juno were long lost friends. He certainly wouldn't want to interrupt a reunion if that was the case. Then again it might be more dangerous than that and if, so he would be here to help if necessary.

Chess;

Chess scoffed lightly at Chhaya like he's saying an Of course you wouldn't understand why I introduced myself, almost as if he could hear her thoughts, Well if it doesn't go my way I'll kill the girl. His smile is sickeningly sweet as he sits about 5 feet from where Juno stands, her stance is more relaxed and open.

"Anyways, let's get straight to the point, all that's left, his eyes shoot quickly from Juno to Chhaya, and back to Juno, too quick to be noticed. He messes with Chhaya sending a message like I sit quiet and smile, but could ruin you completely if I choose. but he genuinely considers telling Juno their plan, playing the good guy only to ruin a family body. By the looks of it, the wolf in front of me isn't an idiot. No wonder you needed help to get rid of her. Chess inwardly chuckles before he continues his sentence.

"You need to kill the boy's sister. That's it. Then you'll be done"

Juno;

The male's insane confrontation causes Juno to take a moment to think, trying to process what was just said. Then she blinks a few times looking at the around confused.

"Uhm... Excuse me? What are you even talking about? Juno's voice is filled with confusion and annoyance, What the heck is this wolf even talking about? I don't think I know him from anywhere. The male says nothing else but instead begins to turn around and walk away without another word, further confusing Juno. However, she doesn't get the feeling this is the last time they would meet.

Exit Chess

Her plan had worked. She was almost sure of it. While Chess could have been more specific, which probably would have gotten more of a reaction out of him, it still accomplished the effect she had wanted.

Kiran
He didn't know what to do or say. He kept hearing the words that the male had spoken, and his expression seemed to close, and he couldn't tell up from down at that moment. He really hadn't expected that statement. He knew the wolf could have been talking about something else, that he could have even told the wrong wolf. But it didn't make sense. Juno had left, supposedly to have a look around, and didn't seem too alarmed with the wolf, so he could only draw the conclusion that they knew each other.

His eyes gazed at Juno with a new coldness, and before he could hear her response to the male before he could see him leave, Kiran turned and walked back to where he had been. As he walked, he tried to find a reason why Juno would need to kill Chhaya, but he couldn't come up with a logical conclusion.

It didn't matter even if he never figured it out. Chhaya had been right about Juno, she had been up to something, and Kiran was thankful to his sister in that moment. He couldn't think rationally, all he wanted to do was curl up into a ball and stare at nothing. And that was exactly what he did.

He hoped that this feeling would pass, but he knew it wouldn't knew that unless something changed he'd always wander around with this feeling of disbelief in him.

Chhaya
Now she had to figure out a way to make him even more mindless than he already was. Right now, he couldn't rationalize but he could still think and act of his own accord. Chhaya wanted to eliminate that free will and make sure that he never disobeyed her again. She went up to him and stared down. "I told you she was up to something. If you had only listened to me in the first place, then this never would have happened. You know that. Maybe you should listen to me more often. I am after all your older sister, aren't you supposed to do as I say? From now on, we do things my way or we won't do anything at all. After all, we wouldn't want another incident like Juno, now would we?"
Kiran
Kiran looked up at his sister and nodded his head. His eyes took on even more of a glazed look, and his thoughts were shelved, gone to the back of his mind, lost somewhere. He forgot all about Juno and the events that had just occurred. All that remained was a wish, a need, to obey Chhaya "Yes you're right." He fell silent again, waiting for her to give him his next order. ”Did I tell you to speak?” Kiran was smart enough not to speak but he did look up at her in admission of his guilt and his regret over it.

Juno;

Still extremely confused, Juno makes her way through the thick amount of trees and back to where the three stopped previously, trying her best to figure out who that wolf was and what he was talking about. When she reaches the other two her smile disappears seeing the way Kiran looks. The atmosphere has gotten increasingly dark and Chhaya gives off an evil aura.

"Hey guys. Did something happen?" Juno's voice is soft and full of concern, but the situation only further confuses her. Looking up toward Chhaya only provided Juno the idea that she was up to something. By the looks of it, Juno can tell she'll have a rough time being around the two for the time being. Juno's eyes dart between the two, Chhaya, if you did something to your own brother,
you're more pathetic than I thought.

[Argus]

Chhaya flashes Juno a satisfies smile and Kiran gives her a blank look, devoid of any recognition. "Yes, something happened. Thank you for helping me destroy my brother's mind." It was her fault that Chhaya had had to pull such drastic measured after all, and if she had never appeared then Kiran would still be whole. "It was simple enough. When the past lingers, the future disappears. You're supposed betrayal became the thing Kiran focused on, and it allowed me to guilt him into doing everything I say." Chhaya knew that Juno had not asked how she did it, but Chhaya wanted to gloat. To do that she had to explain.

Everything had happened already, her goal had been achieved, what could Juno do? Nothing. She couldn't bring Kiran back and never would be able to. Chhaya smiled again at the blue and white wolf then turned to go. "Come Kiran. We're leaving." Kiran stood and walked behind Chhaya, both leaving without a look back.
