Codex;
Codex happily trots over to the large pool of water that rests at the end of the fall catching it gracefully. The sound of the rushing water of the fall along with the sound of singing birds created a serene atmosphere, causing the she-wolf to feel, not sluggish, but almost so relaxed, she grew a bit tired. The breeze cools the air and creates rustling in the leaves, it also moves the water, making small waves.
Without thinking Codex, right as she approaches the water, jumps in the water creating a large splash and causing the water to crash against the surrounding rocks. After a moment of hitting the water, her body reacts to it being cooled by the autumn weather. Her eyes widen at the sudden change in temperature and her body recoils. She tries to grip the rocks at the bottom of the pool. Her legs push her out of the water and she jumps until she reaches the edge, where she springs out and onto the land.
Shivering, she rolls over, dirt and grass sticking to the wet fir around her paws and on her legs. She sits up and shakes her fur, trying to get off as much of the cold water as possible. "Whoo! That was much colder than I expected" Well, now the dark, sea green wolf knew better than to jump in any sort of water in colder weather, despite this, she will definitely do it again without thinking about what has just happened.

Kettu;
Finally, she was on her own. Having left the company of her siblings recently, the fox-like she-wolf couldn't help but go to the nearest location possible to do some exploring. Perhaps she would even meet another wolf there. That idea was sort of neutral to her; she didn't necessarily want to meet another wolf, but she also wasn't against it.
The female trotted through the trees with a small smile and almost a flick of hope on her face. When she heard the sound of running water, her pace quickened until she arrived at what she first thought was a clearing, only to find that it was a waterfall. No, it was multiple waterfalls connected to each other, each with their own pools. This place looked really cool! She trotted forward to the edge of the water, leaning her head down and shoving it into the water with no hesitation. Unfortunately, she hadn't been paying attention of whether there were any other wolves in the area, so she didn't see that there was another canine not too far from where she was. Right now there was only one issue that the naïve wolf hadn't considered; she looked like a fox, not a wolf, so there was a chance that if she did run into another wolf, she would get attacked. But perhaps, if there were another wolf, they wouldn't have that mindset.

Codex;
Codex, a bit preoccupied with exploring the surrounding area, didn't notice the fox-like wolf who also hadn't noticed her just yet. Plants, bugs, basically whatever caught her eye at the moment kept her attention away from Kettu. Every movement was gracefully happy and she moves with a smile, her eyes following things that flew away from her reach. In the process of following a butterfly through the air put her vision right on the coat of what was extremely similar to a fox. At first, the other female was only in the background of Codex's vision as she was focused solely on the butterfly, but once she lost it through the air, she was able to focus her vision on what was on the other side of the winged bug. What she saw slightly took her by surprise, she didn't expect to see someone at the moment let alone a fox. Out of instinct Codex dove into whatever vegetation surrounding the pools of water, holding her breath as she watches the bright-pelted animal. She crept closer, her paws slightly pulling a few of the dead autumn leaves along with it, but for the most part, she was fairly silent, any other regular animal would probably think it was the wing moving whatever had fallen to the floor. She had her body lowered to the ground with her neck bringing her head closer to being in between her paws.
The she-wolf makes her way behind the small creature in front of her, ready to grab at her, but as she had gotten closer this fox looked to have more characteristics of a wolf than any other fox she'd seen so far. She stands straight back up and instead walks out from where she was hiding and confronts the confusing female.
"Hey! What kinda animal are you?" Her question is blunt and most likely would take Kettu off guard since she came up from behind her, but of course, Codex didn't really think of that before she did it.

Kettu;
You would have thought that movement out of the corner of her eye and a slight sound of rustling would have caught the young wolf's attention. Yet it didn't. She had taken notice of the butterfly that Codex had been playing with moments before and lifted her head, poking her nose towards it. She then heard a sound behind her that was loud enough to catch her attention. Her large ears perked and she turned herself, looking back to see a black wolf with light-colored spots and some sort of design below the eye. The wolf had asked what kind of animal she was. She slightly tilted her head in confusion; what did she...oh. Right. She looked more like a fox than a wolf, so it was understandable.
"I'm a wolf. I know I look more like a fox, though." Kettu just sort of shrugged her shoulders, turning to face the dark-furred wolf. "What's your name?"
(I know its short. My next ones shouldn't be. I just couldn't really think of what else to write.)

Codex;
Oh, so, she is a wolf then. The speckled female took in the look of the small female in front of her. She definitely had to be extremely small to an average wolf, being that Codex also wasn't the tallest wolf out there, but her coat was also interesting. She wondered what her parents would have to look like for her to resemble that much of a fox. After a moment of thinking about the look of this fox-like female, her thoughts are interrupted by a question. Codex opens her mouth slightly with her tongue barely sticking slightly out of her mouth as the fox-like wolf asks for her name.
"I'm Codex. What about you? What's your name?" Codex plops her butt on the ground with a thud, her back legs off to the left while her front paws are on the floor opposite of her back legs. Her tail sweeps the ground behind her creating a small area behind her where all of the leaves have been swept away, some still holding on to the fur on her tail.

Kettu;
The surprise of seeing a wolf that looked so much like a fox seemed to be evident on the she-wolf's face. But Kettu didn't really mind. She then remembered what one of her siblings had said before all of them parted. She couldn't remember her exact words, but it was something along the lines of 'don't get attacked, little fox'. At least this she-wolf wasn't planning on attacking her, as far as she could tell.
Typically, Kettu would question why any wolf would want to attack her in the first place. She actually never really understood why any wolf would attack another wolf in general. But she was young and naïve. She couldn't be expected to understand. In truth, she had never actually seen a fox in person before, nor did she know how wolves typically respond to seeing a fox. Did foxes look just like her? Did wolves usually attack foxes? Were they friends? She didn't know the answers and she highly doubted that this wolf would know them either. She didn't plan on asking anyway.
The she-wolf took a few steps forward, not getting too close, and took a seat. "I'm Kettu." Her ice blue eyes then turned back towards the water, thinking for a moment, before turning back. "Do you live around here? It's starting to get colder with Winter coming." Kettu had only experienced Winter once before, but that was when she was just a tiny little ball of fur. As surprising it might have seemed, she had never yet seen snow before, but she had heard about it. She was actually eager for Winter to arrive, not thinking of the dangers that came with it, such as less prey, ice, and bad-tempered wolves.

Codex;
Right as Kettu mentioned about how the weather is getting colder and it reminded Codex that she was still a little wet from the water, and caused her to turn her attention to how cold she actually was, noticing the chilliness that consumed her body. The wind that would blow every now and then would cause more shivers to be sent through her body and cause her to shake even more, but she tries to ignore it while she speaks to the she-wolf in front of her.
So, Kettu was the strange looking wolfs name. Codex always likes asking questions about other wolves. She likes finding more about others because each and every wolf has their own interesting story to tell, each very different, but some can have similar stories and have different outcomes. "Nope. I don't live out here. I just got bored and decided to go somewhere new. I didn't expect the water to be this cold." Codex quickly forgets about how the wolf looks and starts asking the wolf a few questions, just out of curiosity.
Do you have any family? Are you part of a pack? How old are you? She bombards the poor wolf with many questions at once, not giving her any time to answer in between them. She looks at the wolf watching how she moves her body, if she's uncomfortable or nervous, Codex would be able to tell, well, at least she hoped she would.

Kettu;
Similarly to Codex, a chill went down the she-wolf's spine as she thought of the cold of winter. She could almost feel a freezing breeze go passed her, though the freezing thought was a bit exaggerated. Anyway, despite having met a brand new wolf, not knowing their intentions or if they were dangerous, she seemed completely comfortable. If she was smart she would be cautious, but there wasn't much you could expect from a teen.
Hearing all of the questions thrown at her at once, she seemed confused for a moment, but was perfectly okay with answering the questions. "Well I'm almost a year old now. And I'm not a part of any pack. But I do have quite a few family members in the area. There's my parents, but who knows if they are even in this area anymore. They were always saying they wanted to live somewhere else. Then I have four siblings. I was with three of them not too long ago, but we decided to go out on our own and meet up some time." At the thought of her siblings, a smile crossed her face. But it wasn't long before she left the topic. "Wha about you? How old are you? And do you have a pack or any family?"

Codex;
The she-wolf hums in response to Kettu's answers, smiling when she smiles because of the happy feeling she gets from seeing joy being brought to others, letting her know she is listening. Who are her siblings? Where is she from? Codex still had a mass amount of questions to ask the petite female, but she wasn't able to, as Kettu had asked some questions herself.
"Well, for starters, I'm around two and a half. I have no idea where my actual family is, but I am part of a pack." Codex figures it would be safer to keep the name of the pack anonymous, being that there are only 5 members total, and who knows for sure if this friendly, young wolf standing in front of the dark female could end up setting up something and having the pack attacked. But, these thoughts were, as she figured, just her being extremely paranoid about meeting a new wolf.
"Anyways I forgot to ask, what are you doing over here?" If she happened to sound a bit rude like she's saying, "You're not supposed to be here," it's just a habit of hers, Codex tries her best to stay off of as many wolves' bad sides as she can, but she can come off as bratty or rude unintentionally.

Kettu;
It was a surprise to find out that Codex was a member of a pack. She was curious as to what pack, but, then again, she didn't even know any of the packs that were in the valley. It was clear that there were indeed packs, she just didn't know any of them. It was a shock that she hadn't stumbled into any territories yet.
At the female's next statement, Kettu was surprised to find that her voice suddenly had a bit of rudeness to it. She was taken aback for a moment, for she had been friendly for a while. But then she just acted like Kettu didn't belong there. There was no need to be rude, but even Kettu could be a bit of a brat. "Uhh, cause I am allowed. It's not like this river belongs to anyone, " she said with a tiny bit of a snap in her voice. She flicked the tip of her tail and her ears with an attitude and looked at the female, knowing she would likely get sass right back, but she didn't care. The sass was real with this one.

Codex;Unknowingly, Codex had a rude tone with the female as well but was offended at the way the petit wolf spoke to her. She squinted her eyes and knitted her eyebrows at the wolf, the muscles in her face straining as her annoyance and slight anger is evident on her face. Codex scoffs loudly, as she stands up and flicks her tail around, swaying it from side to side as she turns away and plops on the ground once again and curls her tail around her body with the tip of it staying slightly raised and flicking the ground every once in a while (Codex's equivalent of tapping her foot ). With her back turned to Kettu, her face has a pout sewn into her features and her spine sticking out with her back hunched over. Her body slides lazily down into a laying position, with the cold ground having been completely forgotten about. She places her head in between both of her front legs with her eyebrows almost glued in a stressed position, and her mouth stuck in a frown with her bottom lip slightly jutted out.

Kettu;
When the dark female turned away and seemed to start sulking, the little fox also turned her head away, pointing her nose up and perking her ears with a huff. Really, Codex hadn't really been all that rude. Her voice did seem to be slightly hinting at rudeness, but she wasn't full-on saying that Kettu needed to leave or that she shouldn't be there. But, being the little ball of attitude that she was, the fox-looking wolf took offense in her attitude. She likely shouldn't have done so, but she did anyway. Who was Codex to saw where she could and couldn't go? She had no authority over her. Ket could do what she wanted.
To prove her own point that went through her head, she then stood and walked over to the nearest pool, jumping into it and purposely splashing loudly. These waterfalls didn't belong to the dark she-wolf, and the little fox tried to make that clear, even though it was something that didn't need cleared or suggested.

Codex;
The loud splash produced by the ever so rude wolf resulted in Codex flinching and her ears flattening backward against her head, annoyance evident in her body language. This wolf has the nerve to insult her and then rub it in her face. She does everything in her power to now flip out on the fox-like female.
She straightens her legs out, pushing her body up and she begins toward the forest. Her tail flicks back and forth with her muzzle held high. She would not let this wolf get in the way of her day, plus, who's the mature one now? Codex snickers to herself with that thought in her mind. That's right. I am going to be more mature than this- this revolting wolf. It's not a contest but why pass up a chance to be better than someone else?
Codex, with a smug look on her face, trots with a bounce in her step to sit further away from the pool of water. She turns her body to face where her not-so-nice company had just jumped and smirks as she flips her tail back and forth. The look on her face just showed pure amusement as the only thing she was thinking of was how mature she thought she was being.
