Aquaria
Blitz:
It was bucketing down and the male's pelt was being soaked by the icy shards of water that rained from the sky. Blitz liked most rain, but this was a different story. In Winter, it was always biting at you as if a wolf was attacking you with its large jaws. To say the least, it hurt. So he decided there was no time better than now to use his gift. He concentrated on the pelting bullets of water, letting them split in multiple directions so that there was a miniature bubble around him of dryness. He smiled pleasantly. Satisfied already, Blitz continued to walk and use his power as he went. As he was strolling, a thought flashed across his mind. 'This would be a great time to do a stunt, but what will I do?' The male wolf kept thinking as he went nearer to the Falls, though not even the slightest idea was coming to mind. He was a little annoyed by this, but still he thought and thought, until he realised the icy water was seeping into his coat again. Their cold grip making him shiver violently. Blitz frowned a little, but attempted to use his power once again to help him out. The male succeeded, but not without a little struggle. His head was already hurting from the short use of it and the rain was closer to hitting his flank than he really wanted. 'I guess I'll have to sacrifice some more rain-time this winter to improve my gift.' The male thought quickly.
Though he could not tell properly because of the overcast sky, he knew time must be passing. The water bullets had begun to slow their harsh pace and ha d become softer on him. This was good for he could not afford to use his power too much more today without a little rest. Another stroke of luck hit him. A gap in the rocks near the once rushing (but now half-frozen) waterfall would shelter him from the rain and partially the howling winds. He dipped his head gratefully, thanking the Power for such luck. It was a very snug fit, but he wasn't about to complain. The back of the small hole was walled tightly with rocks that had been laid there generations ago and the miniature entrance was well covered but hard to fit through. He managed to get his sleek body inside anyway and fell asleep almost the instant his paws touched the ground inside. This would be a hopefully peaceful rest.
