.:Oasis:.
The tense air is all Oasis needed to snap. With the younger wolves howling for her and Lark to stop, and Axel trying to create peace with her, with confidence that doesn't even exist. "Poor Axel. I pity you, really. When will you learn that this is a... conversation be tween me and Lark?" Oasis hissed, looking at him with blank eyes. No bloodlust, no anger. One might've even though she calmed down. But she hasn't. She needs this kill more than they need to live. Oasis's head snapped back at Lark, who was now protecting Dove with what seemed like her life.
"In retrospect, I don't have to hurt anyone here. Yet, Dove is the perfect candidate to die a happy little death." Oasis spoke, her voice calm, yet angry at the same time. This was ideal for her, for everyone to turn their backs on Oasis. This time it won't hurt her. Oasis took a large step towards the older wolf, a crooked smile splayed on her face, holding no emotion still.
"But I guess you will have to do, Lark."
She hissed those few word, muscles itching to fight. Heat spread out throughout her body, suddenly tensing. She was tense. When Rose and Dove tried to calm her down, there was no going back to the cold Oasis. It's this Oasis or no Oasis.
"I do not want a fight, but it seems you want a kill. Do you think me easy pickings because of my age? Oh, how misguided youth are. I may be on the decline but I'm not that old." Oasis then stood higher, straightening her legs in one fluid movement, anger the only thing in her blue eyes, yet her exterior still was calm and chilly. "Yes I do want a kill, but you're not a part of it. So scram, or suffer." Oasis hissed softly, and with it moving into Lark's face. She casually lifts her left paw and tilted her head up, like everyone else was below Oasis.

Kill? What was happening? Wolves only killed prey, and only then for food. Her guardians told her that wolves must sometimes fight to protect what is theirs and what they love, but Manu’s parents never told them that other wolves killed. And now this crazed Oasis Wolf was practically drooling over the thought of murder. Murder! The worst kind of wrong! But no wolf had been injured, they could still escape unscathed. Rose crouched beside Dove, unsure. She turned to him, ”What do we do?” She whispered, becoming more scared as the scene progressed. Axel was standing broad shouldered beside Lark, who’s fur was on end. Rose had completely forgotten about the insufferable heat, all of her attention devoted to the developing disaster before her. Rose was beginning to realize the gravity of the situation, yet her naïveté was overwhelming. Whatever inkling she may have held concerning the possibility of dreadful sorrow and death is overwhelmed by her devotion to the oblivious power of optimism. koolpup

Dove feels Lark's tail brush against him. He straightens slightly, feeling twists of indignant stubbornness beginning to bubble up inside him. He isn't a coward! Nor is he a pup anymore. He won't leave just because Lark says so- Wait kill? Dove's ears tip back, the only killing he's ever heard of is killing prey. Sure, he knows wolve's fight and one could accidentally die if the wounds are too severe but... His young mind just can't quite wrap around the situation.
Oasis begins to speak, first to the male wolf, Axel, as Dove now knows him. Then her voice is pointed back at Lark. He feels his fur go cold at her words, though he still doesn't quite understand. Why? Why would she want to.... to kill him? He backs up slightly and feels Rose shift beside him.
"What do we do?" She questions in a harsh, worried whisper.
"I don't... I don't know." Dove replies, equally as quiet and worried. He still needs to learn all the herbs and what they do, prove to Lark that the goddesses exist, find his mother. The idea of death taking him into her claws at this moment makes him feel small and scared, but Lark. He doesn't want Lark to get hurt, she is his mentor and his best friend. He does not want her to fight Oasis in order to protect him. Yet, he isn't able to move.
Lark's eyes widen slightly as Oasis says, so simply, that Dove is who she wants to kill. Any speck of sympathy that she could've held for the evil she-wolf in front of her is now, very effectively, lobbed out of the den mouth. Her eyes narrow to slits and she steps forward.
"So, you want to kill a pup? For what reason?.....Maybe because they are even easier to fight than little old me? Are you that weak or are you just lazy? Are you trying to prove you undoubted, unmistakable, uncanny evilness by slaughtering an innocent youth for no apparent reason?" She curls a lip up, making sure her words are sharp like knives. There already is a fight eminent, she honestly doesn't mind ticking off the she-wolf more. When Oasis raises her paw and head, Lark matches her. "I will not scram. Though perhaps you should think about doing so, you are dreadfully outnumbered. Hmm, maybe you are simply thickheaded?" With every word that, though laced with sarcasm, also sounds sincere, Lark prepares for Oasis to attack. She wants the she-wolf, especially now, after she has revealed her intentions, to attack her with full force. If Oasis is so determined to kill someone, it will be Lark, and the older she-wolf is hellbent on taking the evil wolf with her. She will not let Dove get hurt.

Axel;
When Oasis spoke harshly to Axel, he gave a clipped little sigh. He could have retorted, easily. When would she learn that the conversation she was trying to have was one sided and nobody was interested but her—and so forth. But Axel didn’t want to stoke an already hot fire. Although it would seem that even without his counsel, or lack thereof, Oasis already had it in her mind.
Suddenly, a coolness came over Axel, one he had experienced only a few times before. His trained eyes, usually used for looking over grass and fields, rock and roots—now scanned the party. There was Oasis, who while not small, was smaller than Rose. Axel’s yellow eyes locked onto the big female. She was powerful, but from everything he had heard her say so far, it didn’t seem like she believed it. Well he could get to that. Lark, on the other hand, though old, seemed capable. Trained, strong—though Axel knew that a healer’s paws were more inclined to help than to hurt. And that left he and Dove. Well, Dove was blind, and had apparently already attracted too much of Oasis’ attention. So that left him. He shifted his position closer to Rose, but now glued his eyes into Oasis. He felt the muscles in his shoulders twist and work. He flexed his hind legs, realizing-anew how much power was locked there. Yes, should it come to it, Axel could help the fight. He twitched his head slightly, imagining for a moment that Oasis was a large and particularly difficult boulder. Ah, not so hard. All he would have to do was flip it; which would land Oasis on her back, and then it was a free for all.
He cleared his throat, still hoping it wouldn’t come to it. ”Are you so confident in yourself that you would rise against four other wolves?” He included Dove much as a favour to the pup, but didn’t pay much attention to him after. Axel’s blue-masked face split into a grin, a wicked and sharp thing. ”I don’t doubt that you could kill one wolf, maybe even injure a second if you’re were lucky and very quick. But do you honestly think you’re capable of not only dealing a killing blow to a wolf that doesn’t particularly want to die while two others attack you, but also still escape with your own sorry life?” Now that he said it out loud it did seem funny, and he suddenly truly felt more of the confidence that he had only been mimicking moments before. ”Unless of course your life means little and less to you. If that’s the case by all means, let’s go. Though I’m not sure whether I, Rose, or Lark will want to take the first attack.” He was clever. He once more named the three capable (or at least appearing as capabale) wolves, making it impossible for Oasis not to see his point. It was foolish, but Axel now knew that if she truly went through with it, it would be her doom.

((Hey guys! Sorry it took me so long, but in this or the next post I plan to pull the plot onward, by making Oasis deal the severe blow on Lark and let Oasis come to her senses, and leave. If you guys have a problem with that, make sure you tell me! Thanks.)) .:Oasis:.
The older two thinks she's stupid. She knows exactly what she's doing, because Oasis knew this would happen. She still wants the blood of the young, Dove. But it seems she will have to do with the declining Lark. Oasis listened to the two older wolves, Axel and Lark, at least try to convince her she's outnumbered. After those seemingly lectures, all she did is cackle. It was a terrible noise, raspy and nasally. The sound would remind another wolf of a dying animal. But Midnight Oasis is not a dying animal. She is a killing animal. When she stopped, her eyes had fallen upon the blind Dove and still naïve Rose. She let a sense of safety fill her eyes for a split second, then bloodlust.
In response to Axel's and Lark's words, she turned towards them after a minute starring at the helpless. She took one step towards Lark. She was so close... no. She must wait, speak, then kill...
"I am not stupid. I am not weak. And my life only matters to the ones who speak of it. Plus, Lark —" Oasis turned towards the old grey wolf. She is very snappy and irritating to Oasis, but she isn't the strongest out of the two of them, no doubt. "Even so, would any of the runt try to help you? Or are you all talk no game?" Oasis was close enough to breathe down Lark's neck. Slowly, hoarse. In a little bit, she will get to finally end this little game and pull flesh out of the elder. As of Axel, she looked at his for a split second. She knew he would come to help Lark, but Oasis didn't worry.

Dove was just as scared and clueless as she was. This wasn’t supposed to happen. She was supposed to prove to Manu that she was capable by finding a home and making a name for herself. He was probably out there right now, digging out a den or feasting on a young deer he had taken down. And here she was, cowering pitifully begins to adults, ready to face death. She was a young adult, though she could hardly be classified as one. She had just grown out of pup hood. Quite literally. She was the average size of a large adult wolf, and it was certain that she would continue to grow. That’s what Manu’s parents had said anyway. Rose glanced at Dove, his blind eyes were wide and filled with anxious fear. She was certain her own dark eyes mirrored the same thing. Should they run? Maybe they could get away. Yes. That sounded good. On that impulse she whipped her large frame around and rugged at Dove’s tail, dragging him behind her for a small moment. ”Come on! Run!” She barked, running beside the disoriented male. He was blind, she needed to be behind him to make sure he didn’t trip. ( koolpup)

((Haha! I'm adding another wolf to this crazy group! Sorry if I'm making it more confusing. )) Java; Java has been hiding in a bit of long grass, stalking the group of wolves with a raised eyebrow and cynical look. She didn't mind the heat much since she would give anything to entertain herself. She had rolled in some dirt and dug up grass to mask her scent for the most part, so she assumed that none of them had noticed her yet. She yawns as she watches until a particular pup catches her attention, she has a mark on her side that looks like a wave and her pelt is dark grey. God. How boring is wanting to kill a pup? Java rolls her eyes but silently laughs at the females words almost saying, "That's ridiculous." until another voice in her head begins arguing with her, "Pssh. Ridiculous my tail. You'd do the same thing."Java knits her eyebrows together and gets a small twitch of her eye and head, "Shut up! I would not. Maybe."Thinking about coming out to join the party, as if on cue one of the wolves decides to cry out, ”Come on! Run,” which finally allows Java to give them a bit of a jump, moving in front of their path, soon to have them bump into her, with a blood-curdling, deranged smile, with large sharp teeth lining her mouth like she's putting her weapons on display, "Where do you think you're running off to with him, girlie?" Java lets out a cackle and her head twitches to the side once more as she walks forward only closing the distance between her and the two trying to run off. She didn't plan on taking any lives today because she didn't want to have to go through the trouble of dealing with this many other wolves. At least that's what she told herself, but why not mess with a few of the jumpier ones to get a little laugh out of it.
