Arani;

Within seconds, Kanga's whole demeanor changes into something slightly darker, and more intimidating, most likely fueled by her sending a wink back at him. In her mind, she knew it was just herself joking around, but in Kanga's it might've been taken completely differently- Scratch that. It was obviously taken differently than she had intended. The female's eyebrow raises at the sudden change in the russet twin, and rather than silently judging as most would, she simply calls him out for it with an almost laughing tone of voice and a joking smile spread across her maw,

"What was that just then? Don't go trying to seduce me now. I wouldn't let you leave me if you somehow managed to." She ends her words with a small laugh, although if Kanga truly did intend on trying to seduce her, she'd be the last to fall for it, instead, she'd just poke fun at him, like she's doing now with her joking, yet all too true statements,

"Sorry, Kanga. I'm a girl that's lookin' for some commitment."

She can almost feel Manaaki trying to fight a loud sigh and an eye roll because of his brother's actions, something that Arani can greatly relate to at the moment. She turns her head to look toward the quiet wolf, with a questioning look. Is your brother serious with this? Her jaw hangs slightly, almost surprised at the other's quick change in personality. He went from the fun, slightly out of it twin brother to a dangerous wolf looking for something quick. It was astonishing how he could change from one extreme to another in such a short amount of time.

Arani is only further surprised when Kanga speaks, his overall tone of voice is much different. He's not speaking in a joking manner and his voice is deep and easy to listen to. Her jaw drops further at his attitude before being pulled away from her awe by his complete opposite of a second half.

She seemed to let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding when the guilt that piled up within her suddenly dispersed. The boy's reassuring statements send a genuine smile to the female's face, bringing her cheeks up to cause a small squint of her eyes, making her face look slightly pup-like- A drastic change from her usually sharper and judging features.

"Well, thanks. I really prefer the company." Her statement is said with a slightly shy tone, as she's not one to compliment or say she needs anyone. But in all honesty, without her brother, she needed someone, anyone, to keep her from falling off the end of a lonely dark cliff. But, she would never admit those word aloud, especially with someone like Kanga who would definitely poke fun at her for it. Under her breath, she mutters a quick, "It means a lot," before smiling brightly as if that sentence, that was oh-so-embarrassing for her, was never said.

Kanga, Manaaki;

When Arani called Kanga out on his behaviour, his ears flipped backwards and his eyes widened. Manaaki let out one bark of laughter—a very rare and abrupt thing for him to do—which Kanga scowled at him for. He honestly hadn't even noticed, but now that it had been brought to his attention he felt a little bit silly switching back to his previous attitude. Or continuing the current one, for that matter.
"No, you've never been that sort of wolf, have you Kanga?" Manaaki spoke into the silence, hiding a smile. He was in-part, saving Kanga from having to speak to his change of behaviour. But he also wasn't making it easy for the russet twin to move on. Kanga heaved a sigh.
"Nope." His dull voice boomed and he flashed a large grin, but in the back of his mind he held a frown. Like he needed reminding. He had already been to the Love forest, and look how that had turned out. He withheld a shudder. Manaaki sensed his brothers' hidden-discontent and almost frowned, but allowed his silver-lined face to remain passive.
An interesting thing—one he would surely ask about later.

When she mentioned that she preferred the company and said something quietly under her breath, the brothers merely nodded along and allowed for the change in conversation.
"It seems that wolves used to company feel even more alone without it," Manaaki said evenly, glancing at Kanga good naturedly. Kanga sighed again, but this time in agreement, and rolled his eyes.
"You'd think it would be the opposite, but blast it all if he is't right."

Arani;

The female sent a genuine smile to Kanga at his sudden realization, and possibly embarrassment at his unknown change in attitude,

"I'm just messing around with you, Kanga. I don't mind the flirting. So, go crazy, if you want." Arani's words bounce with a joyful tone, with the equally bright smile only making her attitude light up.

A more faded tone crosses her face as the two twins share a few words, and while Kanga's grin is as big as ever, it seems a bit forced, at least from what's been seen thus far. For all she knows, it could be a smile just like any one of his others, but either way, the little bit of reassurance she could provide at the moment couldn't be too unhelpful- Hopefully.

"Don't worry. I know you'll find someone." The female's tone is sweet, laced with confidence, which she hopes is grabbed onto by Kanga and will cause a lift in his mood, bringing him back to his normal, less reserved self. Being around a wolf like the cheery twin would cause someone to end up getting high on his happiness, maybe that's why Arani had been so much more cheerful than her usual self. When someone like that suddenly has a chance in attitude, even if it's subtle and hidden, it's much more obvious than it would be in most wolves. And it seemed to bring everyone's mood down as well.

The two proceed to speak about their opinion of her previous comment about appreciating the company. Without someone, she'd probably go stir crazy. It'd be like she's stuck in a den for far too long, but she's just be trapped alone in her own mind. Being alone with her own thoughts can become dangerous, she wouldn't make it very long on her own. The change that one other wolf could make to her entire life is drastic and could mean as much as keeping her from literally going completely and utterly mad.

"I'd end up going mad. Probably like I got rabies, but, y'know, without rabies. I hope." The female stops for a moment, playing her words back in her mind, with her eyes blinking, and her body slumped. Now that she thinks about it, what if she got rabies?

A few blinks bring her back to reality and away from her inconsequential, mostly distracted thoughts, and back to the pair of wolves standing before her.

"You guys better visit me after you leave- Not if I have rabies because I probably wouldn't remember you, but, if I don't have rabies, I'll be upset if I don't hear from ya." Her voice goes back to it's previous cheerful, floaty tone and her smile make her face seem slightly chubby with huge cheeks, like the thought and fear of her getting rabies never existed.

Kanga, Manaaki;

As Arani assured Kanga the flirting didn't bother her, he smiled, half-tempted to claim that he had no idea what she was talking about. Manaaki seemed to sense this though, and sent a silent glance Kanga's way. The russet-brother kept his mouth shut. His smile faded, however, when Arani said that she was sure he would find somebody. In response, his nose wrinkled, his tongue lolled out of his mouth, and his lips lifted to reveal his teeth.
"Blleearch," He scoffed, tossing his head lightly. He wasn't even sure that was what he wanted. Manaaki had it—or had had a chance at it, anyway—but was it really Kanga? Who knew.

Arani then admitted that she would go mad if left alone for too long—not unlike a beast with rabies. She seemed to get slightly upset, but was soon back to her cheerful self. Manaaki's head swung to the side to look at Kanga fully (an action that normally would befit the younger brother). His eyes narrowed slightly, and Kanga was sure he knew what was coming.
"Oh is that why you are how you are? Did I leave you alone too long?"
"Yea, yea, we're all laughing Manaaki." His lip lifted again to flash his teeth. Manaaki met his dark stare with an equally dark one, enjoying the moment.

"Of course we'd visit," Manaaki rumbled smoothly. Kanga shook his head, smiling once more as if the exchange hadn't just happened (though it had all been in fun).
"Only if you didn't have rabies though."
