Let the contest begin. (Xenia and Uther)

Uther

He didn't know why he offered to look at her wound, or why he was even being kind to her. She was just a lowly wolf like the rest of them. The thing that shocked Uther was that she said yes. Uther had been acting without thinking and now he was standing in front of Xenia sniffing her wound. There were no traces of blood and the soft area wasn't too large. "It doesn't look too bad, but it should hurt a lot. It might have even bruised your bone. You'll probably have a limp for a few days." Uther tilted his head and shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal. "If you need me to, I'll stay with you until you heal." What? Wait, let me try that again. What?! He had just offered to take care of a stranger he hadn't even known for 24 hours! It was too late to take back the offer, so he continued to act normal. No smile, no tail wag. Nothing. Show no emotion. If he acted aloof enough, she might reject his offer. Uther shot her a whatever-it's-up-to-you look and shrugged his shoulders.

Xenia laid still and looked up at Uther, watching him as he sniffed her wound. As he finished, she rolled back and slowly sat herself up, sitting on her haunches. She winced once or twice as she sat up, only to hear Uther speaking to her. The she-wolf's ears trained in on him again and listened to what he had to say. She processed what he had to say in her mind, she wasn't sure what to say, yes, or no. In the end, she decided it would be best if he would stay with her. "If it wouldn't be a bother.. I'd appreciate it Uther. If you helped me out while it heals.." she replied to him.

She looked down for a moment, not used to having to ask others for help before she remembered something. "Oh! How are your wounds, do you need me to do anything?" she asked quickly, raising her head back up, remembering that he had been injured a little during the hunting incident as well.

Uther

He had wanted her to say no, but was surprised when his tail wagged after she said yes. What was going on with him? His body wasn't responding the way he wanted it to. Maybe he could come up with an excuse that he happened to remember. Okay, he could say that he had to travel to one of the White Wolves. She wouldn't be able to follow him there. It was the perfect excuse! He spoke. "It's not a problem." He gaped in his mind. There went his plan! He was going crazy! Someone was controlling him! That must be it! Ignore it all and act natural. 

Oh, she had asked him about his wounds. The scratches stung, but they weren't deep. He should be fine. "I'm okay. After we eat, I'll just rinse off in the Amoux Creek." That was all that needed to be said. Uther started towards the meat to begin his afternoon meal.

Xenia's tail had been wagging as well. She tried to stop it, but found herself unable to do so. There was something about Uther that stirred up a strange and an awkward feeling inside of Xenia. It reminded her of the feeling she had for her long dead parents, but it was stronger. She quickly shook the thought of her head, which it shortly returned afterwards.

"If you're sure that you will be okay, then I say we should eat up then." the female replied to him, slowly standing herself up and hobbling over to the dead carcass. She would seat herself again, wincing a few times before she bent her head down and took a chunk of meat out of the doe, wondering where the calf went now that she thought about it.

Uther

By the time Xenia joined him, Uther had already eaten a whole thigh. This was probably due to the fact that she was limping. Out of the corner of his red eye, he saw her wincing. Perhaps he should have helped her. Too late now, she was already eating. That's what he told himself, but he still felt guilty. 

Uther continued to eat until he was satisfied. He felt like his stomach was going to pop and he rolled over on his back. Next, he lifted his legs in the air and flexed all his muscles. His muscles felt good and tough. Had he just done that to impress Xenia? No way. He was just stiff from crouching to eat the doe.

Uther flopped back on his side and looked at Xenia. "I'm stuffed and feel fat. I don't want to walk, but I think it's about time we went to the creek so I could clean off all this blood." He felt gross having the blood plastered to his pelt. It had long ago reached his undercoat and it was starting to itch. Uther hopped to his feet and waited for Xenia to respond.

Xenia pulled meat out of the underbelly of the doe, tearing into the flesh before ripping quickly to chew on the meat, swallowing after it had been chewed enough. The she-wolf for some reason kept staring over at Uther, her eyes never leaving his except when she bit into a bone by accident. She spat the bone out and ate again before he walked off, satisfied with what he had eaten.

The female continued to eat up after he had left, until she filled her belly up enough. She ate enough to last her a good while, but did not fill herself up with food, leaving enough room for plenty more off of the doe.

"If you really want to.." she spoke, before standing up and wincing once again, limping on over to Uther. "I'll accompany you.." she added quietly. Xenia didn't know what had gotten into her, but for some reason she didn't want to leave the male's side, despite her limp.
