Bruid sat himself down slowly in a small pocket among the foliage he had found. This place here had been good to him for his first few days of being in these stranger lands. Quietly, the large brute curled up as the orange glow of the sky slowly dimmed into the impending blackness that came with the night. Bruid usually loved the night, but tonight... something was just... different. He didn't feel good at all, but it wasn't though he felt like his stomach was upset. Maybe... he was lonely?
It made sense, new lands; no remaining family; the burning lack of interaction... It could kill a guy like him. He huffed and let his large head rest on his heavy paws and his deep indigo hues closed, casting him into the realm of his mind. He would not sleep yet, however. The pain was still burning on his thigh after that attack on him and his parents when he lost them. The poor old souls hadn't made it back to him and he knew deep down what had come of them in their efforts to save him. Even at his old age, Bruid's Dad was no lightweight and he could still hunt well, but it just wasn't enough to face something with teeth that sharp and paws that quick... His mother, she was the same, but in spirit.
These lingering pains of loneliness, loss and of course, physical damage were getting to him, but he would by no means succumb. He'd bite through it and he'd come out okay... Maybe with a little company, things could be better.

Daria stumbled over the roots. "Not again" she muttered to herself. She was lost, and she knew it. She focused on her sense of smell, and the world was visible in her mind. Another wolf, much older and bigger then her, was in the bush in front of her! She yelped, and the older wolf looked up and around until he spotted Daria's white, silver and gold fur. She cowered, her eyes wide. The older wolf (Briued) noticed her milky eyes. She whimpered. This wolf, could easily eat her. She was only a pup, and he was fully grown.

(Don't worry about it ;P)
Bruid heard a quaint yelp not too far from his position and his ears perked, his head snapping suddenly towards the source of the sound. It was young, and therefore it was vulnerable. The large, imposing brute crouched, lowering himself to the ground to bring himself as close to the pup's level as possible. "Wee bairn..." He murred with a deep and warm rumble, a gentle smile spreading over his face. "Are ye lost, we'an? Or are ye hurt?" Bruid tried to sound as welcoming as he possibly could to the young'un, hoping not to scare her away. She was very small... and Bruid was very large and perhaps even frightening to a pup so small - He was a stranger after all. Although Bruid knew there were scarier things than he in the world.
"C'mere... A'm no gonnae hurt ye. Ma name's Bruid..." The large male tried with her, edging himself ever so slowly towards her, making absolutely no sudden movement that may cause her to dash.

Daria calmed down a little. "My.....My name is Daria" she said, still nervous. Her eyes were still wide, though she saw nothing. She only smelled, felt, and herd. "I am a bit lost, ware is this place?" she asked, it would be surprising to any wolf who knew nothing of her blindness.

(This is so you know more about Daria) Name:Daria Age:8 month old Gender:Female Side: Good Eye Colour:White, because she is blind. Coat Colour:White with silver brindle and a gold stripe down her back. Physical Build:Thin, she rarely eats anything but roots. She tends to stick to her den, witch is rich in roots. She is about a foot tall. Picture: Personality:She is kind, and hates to kill other wolves. Daria may be small, compared to full grown wolves, but her spirit is stronger then most fully grown wolves. She longs for a new pack, but is refused every time because of her blindness. She persists, and thinks soon, one more journey, and she will find a new pack. History:She is from the east mountains, and was cast out to the Redwoods for her blindness. Sample Post: Daria stumbled around, she tried to hone her scenes, but it refused to work again. She sighed. She tried only honing her nose. She saw a clear picture of the world. She smiled, the little blind pup was not so blind after all.

( Bruid's Profile - So you know about him) The large wolf blinked and his smile slowly faded into a faint look of pity as his own optics came to rest on hers. He realised. "The paer wee bairn cannae see..." He uttered ever so quietly, his thoughts jumping onto his tongue. He stepped back and lowered his hind to the ground, straightening his back. It was an understatement to say he was a big male. He was huge. Even his shoulders were bulky and the contours of his muscle under his pelt seemed to show with the light. "This is ma wee den, pal." He murred delicately to her. His vocals were deep and had a warm rumble to Them. They were definitely imposing, but at the same time, they had an incredible ring of sweetness in them. Although, mercy was to be had on whoever's ears would ever hear the wolf shout or bark. "Wuid ye like tae come inside fer a wee bit, maybe get ye fed and warmed up?" Bruid offered kindly, realising that he did not have to worry about letting his wounds and scars show, for the pup couldn't see.

"Well, ok" she said. The gold stripe on her back glittered, and the roar of the falls made her think of when she was a little pup. She padded after him. He was nice, and she trusted him now. He was also a few feet bigger, and had the smell of a fight on him. He was a warrior, his accent was Scottish, she herself was of a mountain linage. "You know, I can smell how big you are" she said, looking up. "I can also smell a fight sent on you". In his 'den' (She knew it was a big bush, she had lived in a few) it was cosy, and Daria was thinking of going to catch a rabbit for him, to show her thanks.

Bruid stepped aside for the young'un to fit herself inside the den. It was like a very miniature clearing, a spot under a wide oak tree, surrounded by thick, large bushes. The space under the oak couldn't have been bigger than 7 feet in every direction, but they'd both fit in there snug enough. "Where did ye come from, lassie?" The brute asked quietly, nosing the small fea gently in a moderate motion of kind affection. She was vulnerable, but at the same time, the somewhat brash wolf seemed to have a thing for underestimating others based on what was given to him.
She mentioned that he had the "scent of a fight" on him... probably due to the blood he had shed on his coat. "Err... Aye..." He glanced off to the side, not sure whether to curse himself for forgetting about the powers of smell, or to just blush and forget it. He shook his head and smiled. "There wis a... a..." He tossed different answers round in his head, looking for a word other than "Monster" - He didn't want to scare her. "...A thing, A big bad thing, but A' chased it away so ye don't have tae worry."

"I don't smell a 'thing', I smell another wolf" she said. Besides, she thought, the monster I know can not be scared away. She was not thinking of Bruid or the wolf who he had fought, she was thinking of the Obea, the one who had left her at the base of the mountain. THAT was a true evil wolf. "And you didn't have to explain, I know a few evils myself" she said. She spoke the truth.

Bruid looked puzzled. "A wolf? Naw, it was nae wolf." He looked off to the side, visualising the creature ahead of him in the bushes. "It was whit ma Mum called a Hellhound." His voice rolled bitterly, his toes shifting slightly at the mere memory of that disgusting creature. "But never mind that, lass. Time tae get you fed." He wuffed, lowering his muzzle to the cold blades of grass.
The male's nose caught something and he went rigid for a moment. "...Hare..." He breathed. "Stay here. A'll be back in a second..." He advised, slinking off with an eerie smoothness, even despite his hulking form.

Daria sat, then smelled mouse. "Mouse" she murmured. Mouse was her favourite. She stalked over, silent. Pouncing, the mouse never stood a chance.

A clumsy rustling sound came from the large Brute's direction and he appeared once again with a large hare stuffed unto his jaws. Hastily, he set it down upon realising that the small wolf had gone. He dropped his nose to the ground and traced her the short distance she had traveled, almost walking into her. "Oh, heheh... That wis impressive, A' didnae even hear ye leave."

She smiled. "You didn't?" she was surprised. She smelled the hare, "Wow" she said.

Bruid chuckled with a happily presented smile on his face, not that the pup could see it. He lay himself down quietly and let his head rest between his large paws, looking off through the gaps of the bushes. The brute's harks were semi-perked and listening to the world around him. Even in the "safety" of his own den, there were always the risks of strangers and predators. Paying attention was even more crucial now that he had a pup under his responsibility.
