Torrent watched the proceedings. He knew he had made a gamble, siding with Demetrios, but he had obviously made the right choice. Demetrios was the new Beta of Honovi, and he got there just with his words. And something radiated from him, like his aura or something, that told him that he was telling the truth. Demetrios was the son of Acka. Torrents attention was swiftly turned away from the lengthy conversation by a scent. She was here. Not wanting to interrupt he merely turned his head and watched the space where his sister would appear. Soon enough he could make out her slender frame.
———————————
Avalanche had just entered the Honovi border. She was wary of any members that would label her a trespasser, and this doubled back on her trail many times in an effort to throw off any wolves tracking her scent. The russet and white swirled shewolf entered the rocky outcropping. Boulders and ledges of rock were scattered about making good places to perch or hide behind. If it wasn't so cold out, Ava wouldn't be surprised to see adders and other reptiles sunning themselves on the rocks. Avalanche was soon able to hear the words being spoken. It seemed Alphess Treason was wounded. Avalanche could smell the dried blood and bear stench from here. Before revealing herself, Avalanche stopped to think. What would she do when she emerged? She was a stranger in this territory anyhow, and she wasn't sure what Treason would do. But Torrent was up there, she could smell him, and he seemed fine. So she opted for a silent approach. Avalanche crept silently forward, head and tail aligned horizontally with her spine as she clambered onto the rocks. She took in the spotted wolf who stood tall, and the bloodied Treason. She also saw a number of members and her brother Torrent. Ava approached him and nudged his shoulder before retreating aways to sit on a slab of rock. Her teal eyes were bright with intelligence and cold calculation. She was always thinking. Always planning her next move.

Rhiannon looked to her other pack members, even they seemed to be slightly weary of trusting this stranger. But she would give him the benefit of the doubt if he were truly trying to protect and provide what was needed for Honovi. The ash gray she-wolf turned her attention back to Treason and nodded her head," No I don't think a wound of this severity should be treated by a regular wolf. I will go and retrieve White Magic Alphess. " She said and looked back to Demetrios, she had no choice but to put her trust in him that he would not dispatch Treason while she was gone. And the other wolves would keep an eye on him for sure until he proved that he was indeed friend not foe because an enemy can be disguised as a helping friend.

I hope I can join you! )) Mazi walked through the water of the cool lake. She sat down in the middle of the water, the lake was very shallow which made it a very nice spot to clean and cool on a hot day. She watched the very small fish swim around her, she studied them and slowly moved her paw over a rainbow trout. She swiped her paw at it and successfully caught it. She put it in her jaws and bit down on it so it stopped moving, she walked out of the water and laid on a warm rock enjoying her fish and warming her body in the sun.

"Let me accompany you, Rhiannon," Mest offered. It was for multiple reasons, and anything but to belittle the shewolf. His main reason was simply to upkeep his self control. Demetrios had immeasurably agitated him, and if Mest didn't escape soon, he'd probably explode.
"Treason, you'd do better to sit, if nothing else. We know you're tough. You don't have to prove it." He was, in fact, worried deeply. He had no knowledge on how to treat wounds, and he felt a bit helpless standing before his wounded alphess without means to help her in any way. "You've made peace. Now rest."

((Sorry having issues with my health and forgot to post. Feel free to tag me in the future.))
"Let me accompany you" ears perked at the suggestion and the wolf who had mentioned it, head turned to look over the wolf who had spoken. Should she allow this wolf sheating did not know to go with her on her task for White Magic? He was a pack member after all, but was company really necessary? Rhiannon had questions about the pack and needed to learn more about your new home, and it seemed that this wolf had lived here longer than her or at she hoped so. A slight nod of the head was the only indication that the ash grey female finally made up her mind in allowing this wolf to come along with her on her journey.
" We shall leave at once then."Was the only thing that the she-wolf said before moving away from Treason and giving a glance towards Demetrios she had no choice but to trust Treason's trust in him to good faith. While she would never trust any wolf who just waltz in like they owned the place regardless of lineage but she was not Alphess and there for had no say in the matter of what rank this wolf should belong in. Turnin her head she motioned for Mest to follow her as she started towards the pack's border, back to where she started from.

Mest moved under a shadow following Rhiannon allowing his company. He scowled in Demetrios' direction, a harsh look that said no less than this isn't over. And it wasn't. He refused to allow it. He gave a grim farewell to Treason, and a silent prayer that White Magic would indeed take care of his alphess.
He broke into a trot in Rhiannon's footsteps, kicking up the cool dust behind him and respectfully allowing her to take the lead. He'd prove his worth and gain the respect of his packmates; far more respect than Demetrios could hope to earn. He'd settle the score- it was personal now.

((Thank you ^^))
A she wolf with green eyes stepped forward and was the first to answer Demetrios’ question, though somewhat bitterly. ” I am Minoe. Barely of Honovi, yet I somehow sold my soul to this place. “ He nodded his head in greeting and acknowledgment of her words. Minoe obviousl did not yet trust her pack. That was….very unfortunate. She needed to see what the pack had to offer her-unity, strength, full bellies, protection, family, prosperity and so much more. He eyed her carefully. This she wolf seemed like the quiet type. What kind of position in the pack would she fit best in? What would she enjoy doing the most? He wanted, so badly, to begin answering these questions and getting to know each of these wolves. For, in the end, what the Honovi wolves see….so long as they remained loyal to the pack above all else, Demetrios would care about each and every one of them.
Next, another she wolf introduced herself as Rhiannon. She was obviously a pack member already and showed a good share of loyalty to the Alphess. Demetrios nodded his head at her as well and smiled. She seemed to be a very loyal wolf and aware of the needs of those around her. The Alphess seemed to share his opinion as she sent the she wolf to bring the healer. ‘Where would Rhiannon fit best within the pack?’, he wondered to himself.
Rhiannon and Mest departed together soon after. Demetrios watched them go, flicking his tail and wondering how in the world he was going to show Mest that he would be good for the pack. He sighed inwardly. Only time and action would convince any of them.
Demetrios hadn’t just come here with strong words of better days. He had come here with a plan on how to help make that future happen. First, he would do what he could to help make rank recommendations to the Alphess. He planned to get to know each wolf, their abilities, their wishes, their strengths and their weaknesses. He would take this information to the Alphess and give her a full report of each wolf. Treason would make her decision and, perhaps as soon as the next pack meeting, wolves would begin receiving promotions. The pack would have purpose then. Wolves would have something to do with their time, a positive goal where they contribute to the pack.
Demetrios’ eyes fell upon Twilight. The she wolf had only recently entered and was looking around with a nervous aura. A loner perhaps. ”What about you, M’Lady?” He said softly and gently. ”What is your name?”
Movement caught his attention and he turned his eyes to watch a she wolf emerge and make her way over to the male that had stood by him earlier. They seemed to know each other. ”What about the two of you? What are your names? Are you here looking to join the pack?”, he asked in a casual voice.
Demetrios caught the scent of yet another wolf. A female? Her scent was confused by the scent of water and fish. There must be another wolf nearby, but he would have to wait for her to approach the gathering before they could speak.
Demetrios’ attention snapped away from the pack to focus solely on the Alphess as she addressed him. "You may use whatever is within your ability, Demetrios, and I am grateful for your aid. I am afraid that no bandage will chase off infection, however. These lacerations are deep and have been left open for too long a period, not to mention the fact that they were made by a bear's claws. If left alone without the help of White Magic, it is only a matter of time before they festered even despite our best efforts. Trusting otherwise would prove foolhardy at best." ”Agreed, M’Lady. I am no healer, but I can help a little bit until White Magic arrives.”
Demetrios lifted his black, front paw and walked slowly towards his new Alphess. He consciously lowered his tail a bit further in acknowledgment of her authority over him. He held his head just slightly lower, far from groveling, but respectful nonetheless. His long white and cream colored legs rippled with agile muscles as they ate up the distance between him and Treason. He circled around to her side, cautiously watching her body language to make sure she was comfortable with his approach.
At her side, he began to examine her wound. It was caked with grime and old blood. He hoped the wolves would hurry to retrieve the medicine. In the back of his mind, he knew he would take note of how long it took the two wolves. Their speed, as well as their ability to be diplomatic with white magic would be something he could take into account when he made rank recommendations to his Alphess. He planned to take the wolves out for a hunt while Lady Treason rested and waited for her herbs. He noted that it might be a good idea to leave a guard with her, just in case anything were to smell her blood and come poking around.
Demetrios cleared his throat and spoke, a touch of embarrassment clouding his tones, ”M’Lady, I am going to need to clean your wound before patching it.” He did not wait for a response, but began to slowly lick her wound, ever so gently. The close, physical contact embarrassed him slightly for some strange reason. Perhaps it was because he had only ever been close to the wolves he had been born around. Whatever the reason may be, Demetrios had never been a wolf to cringe from what needed to be done, regardless of his feelings. So he continued to clean Treason’s wound, his warm, wet tongue working away the dirt and old blood a little at a time.
When the wound had, at last, been cleaned he stepped back to give her a little space. His bright, golden orbs, silhouetted in a glossy black mask, glanced towards the she wolf for a moment. Then he focused his attention back on her wound. He had studied it as he had cleaned it and had decided how best to manipulate his powers to fit the needs of this situation.
He took a slow, deep breath and let the mountain’s power flow through him. He felt a slight zing as the black mark on his hip started to glow a dull green. First, a small plant began to grow at his feet. He stared intently at it, as if he were drawing a sketch of the the plant in his mind. When the plant was grown, a large fluffy white tuft sat at the plant’s center. Demetrios reached down and plucked the cotton with his teeth, wincing at the feel of it in his mouth. He laid it atop a clean rock and began stretching it with his teeth and paws until he had an absorbent pad large enough to cover Treason’s wound. He carried it to her and activated his powers once more. Slowly, small, thin vines crept from the ground at his feet. They reached Treason and slowly started to weave their way up through her fur and to her wound. He held the cotton to her fur and wound the vines around the edges to hold it in place. Once that was done, he let go and watched critically as the vines slowly wove a cross stitch pattern atop the wound and cotton pad. He had learned the pattern from his Mother, of course. He made sure that the vines were tight enough to keep out filth and protect the healing wound, but also loose enough that it should not impede the Alphess’ movement.
At last, when he was done, he stepped back to examine his work from a distance. The whole process had taken more time than he would have liked, but he was slowly gaining more control over his abilities. Treason’s bandage design was reliant more on thought than on the strength of his powers, however, so he had been able to complete the task to his satisfaction. ”How does it feel?”, he asked softly, his silken tones full concern.

(Popping in with my Havoni wolf!) Thornbush saw the wolves gathered. He padded over, red and black fur catching some light. He himself was newish. He had been gone for most of the time. But now he was back, and he was determined. He lowered his head in a non-threatening way. "Hello, I'm Thornbush." he said quietly. He wagged his tail ever so slightly. He looked over the assembled wolves, trying to place names. The way he held himself was that of a lower ranking wolf. Thornbush, however, also tried to keep some dignity. Not in a dominant way, but more like, Hey, I'm cool. But he never tried to show it.

Avalanche greeted the many wolves around her with a nod. She witnessed the pack roiling back and forth, coming and going from the odd rocks. Two wolves left to find White Magic, the snowy mate if the mountain, her healing power legendary. The takes were familiar even for those canids beyond the valley of life and power. The russet she wolf rolled her shoulders, white swirls rippling along her body. Avalanche nosed her brother Torrent in greeting and looked towards the reddish shewolf who was caked in mud and matted, blood-soaked fur. She looked like she would be very pretty once all that was washed out. But being the calculative strategize e she was, Ava looked much deeper. She had heard that Treason here, had been marred up by a bear. To survive such a brutal attack she must either be lucky or smart. Being an Alphess, she must be both. Avalanche's teal gaze shifted to the newly appointed beta before her. His eyes were piercing and intelligent, warm and icy at the sane time. They held a sort of cool intelligence that not many held. His pelt was dappled and spotted, melding like a broiling pot of lava. Avalanche smiled softly at this Demetrios. He was handsome but did not seem the type to be interested in such proceedings. While Avalanche wouldn't mind having a mate, she wouldn't settle for just anyone. Her prospective gaze moved away from the male as she delved deep into her thoughts.
————————————————-
Treason nodded and gritted her teeth as he began cleaning her wound. It was strange to have him this close to her. Her lip quivered, wanting to curl in distaste, but she knew she had to look strong in front of her pack. She couldn't show such a disliking to her new beta. He seemed to have very good intentions, but one couldn't be too careful. Treason strayed straight ahead, into the gray sky. She almost sighed in relief as she felt the grit and clots of blood dislodge from her torn flesh. Pain flooded her eyes with black spots. Treason blinked a bit and tensed her legs to stop them from shaking. Soon Demetrios was finished. He backed away with a white cotton tuft in his jaws. Through the pain, Treason had almost forgotten this males powers. The Alphess was not as young as she used to be, she had seen much pass away before her. But she was not finished yet. Treasons reign would proceed for many many more seasons. The red shewolf looked down at her would and shivered as little green tendrils snaked through her pelt, parting her fur like blades of grass. They tightened around the cushiony mat of white. Dipping her head in respect, she nodded to her beta. "Thank you. Truly. But I need to checkup on my borders. I have received strength from this deed, and I thank you again. Please, excuse me." Treason padded away slowly, getting used to this bandage.

Demetrios blinked in surprise as the Alphess departed as soon as he had finished cleaning and patching her wounds. He had meant to ask her permission to take the pack on a hunt, but she was gone before he could get the words out. He silently watched her disappear into the distance as he considered how to proceed. Sudden or not, trusted or not, accepted or not...he was the new Honovi Beta...and that meant he had a job to do. He turned his piercing golden gaze onto the wolves around him. Some were members. Some were looking for acceptance into the pack. Taking a deep breath, he made his choice. He would take them on a hunt, evaluate each of them and report back to his Alphess.
"Honovi wolves and those who have come seeking acceptance," He began, his voice strong and sure. "Our Alphess is going to need a little time to rest and recover her strength. As your new Beta, I am calling a pack hunt in her stead. I think it only fair to tell you, I plan to observe each of you from the sidelines and see just what you are made of. I will report my findings back to the Alphess so try to do your best! I shall meet you in the Hillside Vista!"

Torrent turned his teal gaze to the Alphess. She was tolerating the pampering by Demetrios. That was a good sign. The brawny wolf watched in slight awe as a plant sprung to life underneath the betas will. Cotton. Torrent had once bounded through a meadow of that, it was very hard to get all of the tufts out of his teal and russet swirled fur. He shook the memory out as Treason bid her farewell and exited the area, white tinged tail disappearing on the horizon. After her departure, he turned his attention to Demetrios. Torrent grinned as the beta announced a pack hunt, just his kind of jam.
Avalanche watched the proceedings placidly. Torrent seemed to be shaking with excitement beside her. The white and russet shewolf shook her head with a small smile. "Calm down." She playfully swatted him with her heavy tail. While he was the brawn, she was the brain. She was sure that she could help direct the hunt. She stood on her lithe and graceful legs, intelligent teal eyes swooping through the cried of Honovi wolves. Demetrios was already galloping away, she'd better get there soon as to not keep him waiting. "Come Torrent."
