The brown parts of this wolf were a familiar color. Earendil's eyes briefly narrowed but then returned to their normal size. Looking at the wolf more closely he noticed the feather in the wolf's fur or ear. Earendil wasn't sure. He looked towards Auroras who had managed to catch the rabbit. The other wolf had a bird in its jaws and he wondered how he could have caught it since they normally stayed on the trees. Odd but not impossible. It was on the ground and so far had not given Earendil any reason to mistrust it... yet. But then again the wolf looked as though it was trying to pull off a cross between a snarl and a smile, and failing ( quite miserably at that.)

Pan;
The female could catch a rabbit, he had to give that to her. One single claw swipe had been enough to bring the lagomorph down. Pan lifted an eyebrow, impressed. The pink male hadn't done much, but perhaps that was because he had been waiting—being polite, as it were. It seemed an odd thing to Pan, waiting for another wolf to make the kill when the prey could easily have run off, but perhaps the two males were just very different beings. He didn't comment on it, and instead let his eyes mismatched eyes flick downard.
Pan dropped the bird at his feet and began pulling the feathers off with his claws, his own feather (knotted into his mane) swinging pleasently as he did so. He smiled to himself—what must these two think of him? Feather in mane, a shard of fossilized wood in his ear, and an all together smug little grin. He supposed he looked quite out of place in the pink-treed surroundings. Not like the male before him, though. Pan's eyes flicked up again, his red one twinkling as if in a joke. The pink male fit right in. He cracked a smile.
Neither wolf had said anything upon noticing him though, so as Pan continued to pull feathers off of his kill, he sighed pointedly and flicked his head back to face the front. "Hello."
Awkward? Yes. But it was purposfully awkward. Pan found all manner of things funny, and this was one of them. He closed his mouth with a little click, eyes dancing, watching the mismatched pair of wolves before him.

Auroras: It was there as always, the wary and cautious stance that she brought with her to every new wolf. Yes, it was not careless but you couldn't go so far as to say it was tense by any means. The she-wolf was simply watchful, her eyes trained deliberately on the wolf just in ahead. The male wasn't particularly towering by any means, but she couldn't quite put her paw on how tall from the short distance between them. He seemed about average, but her guessing skills were simply unreliable most of the time. Auroras wasn't the kind that was good at assumptions. The stranger had an eyebrow raised, specifically at her, for reasons that were far beyond her knowledge. Probably for the reasons only they knew.
The bird was on the ground, now, making contact with the snow with a soft thud. The young adult stretched out a paw and began to pluck the feathers from the long dead creature, one by one. They did not seemed all that fazed by the pair who stood about two good tail lengths away, her maybe being a little further. His mane held a feather, a plain one at that. Another item of interest was a piercing of wood, long, thick and darkly coloured, presumably black. But then again, she wasn't the best at making assumptions. It was an odd sight, she could now not decide between Earendil or the stranger for the oddest looks. It was quite a hard, but pointless little decision making. His eye flickered, one glowing with humorous light while pulling of a fitting smile.
What was there to laugh about exactly? To the she-wolf, there was nothing all that funny about the whole 'situation', but once again, many were different to herself. She still stared, from the close-to-featherless bird, to the new wolf. It wasn't hard to choose which one she should be paying attention to, but her coloured orbs occasionally flicked down to glance at the ave. "Hello." It was plain and simple, just your usual introduction. Though in many cases chatter would make something less awkward, this simple greeting did not. "Hi..." The black and white she-wolf managed to say with her mouth already occupied by her catch.
"Your name is?" Auroras raised an eyebrow of her own, not just to accompany the question, but also a reaction to his wilder look.
(YES. I finally got motivation to write something, I am so sincerely sorry that I left you guys just having here with nothing.

Well, now they were a verifiable collection. The pink wolf, the wild wolf, and the extra wary wolf. Although he meant no offense to any one and he was happy to have a little company his mood was darkening and fast. He looked up into the pink canopy above their heads. Anyone wanna join in here? I'm sure there's room for a wolf that can fly. Maybe they can have wings made out of lightning and clouds. He sighed. These thoughts weren't good for his already challenged mental health. "Hey'o. Not the accustomed greeting, no but considering the fact that the other wolf was the intruder this time Earendil figured that the other wolf would have to do the honors of prying the names out of everyone if he wanted to know their names. He was tired of being nice, tired of walking on eggshells (even in his own thoughts), and doubly tired of being pink. He looked wryly at the now almost bald bird in the brown wolf's paws. Boy, was he making short work of that poor thing's feathers. Looking at the wolf's unusual wooden accessory make his ear itch. He resisted the urge to scratch and instead fastened his eyes on the stranger. He didn't feel like cross-examining anyone right now so he soon left his eyes to wander around the pink filled forest.

Pan;
"Your name is?"
Pan wrinkled his nose at the female's blunt question. Names were powerful and personal. Some wolves would have been downright offended at being asked such a thing outright. Of course, Pan was no such wolf—but they didn't know that. His tail lashed through the air and he adopted his most-confronted face, placing one paw on the now-fully plucked bird. "Why should I divulge such a thing?" He asked, eyes dancing. He held off the grin for now and glanced between the pink one and the female. "To know the name of a thing is to have control over it. Am I required to name myself? Are these your woods that I am intruding and must make myself known?" That grin was getting more difficult to hold off, now. He glanced once more at the pink male. In his mind, he shared a private laugh with himself. Were anybody to belong to the woods, or own them in the sense Pan had been hinting at—it would have certainly been the male. He even matched the tree's leaves! Pan stretched, and fixed each in turn with a little smile, though for different reasons.
"My name is Pan." He said as if none of his previous words had meant anything, and nodded deeply, feather swinging gently beside his face. The male offered no name or even much of a greeting, but nor really had the female. Pan sighed. He should have known this would happen. He had been eavesdropping on the dullest conversation of the year—what had made him think the two would provide anything different if he put himself into the equation? He cleared his throat for lack of anything else to do. "Ah... I suppose I should ask for your names too. That's what's polite, isn't it? See, I don't care much for politeness—or for your names, honestly—so I have to ask to be sure." Something about the way he spoke didn't leave much room for offense to be taken. Certainly, what he said wasn't exactly proper (though it was entirely true), but the way he said it couldn't be mistaken for aggression, no matter who his company was. He was just stating a simple fact, as easily as saying that the sun was out or that the ground was snowy.
Pan took a bite out of the bird and eyed the rabbit the female had downed. Were they gonna eat that?

(Wow, I am so late! Ahh, I am so sorry, homework has being catching up to me lately.)
Auroras: Despite the awkwardness, she almost snorted at the new wolf's expression. It appeared offended, possibly disgusted by her simple question and its sudden appearance. The crinkled nose, lashing tail, right down to his paws, it all seemed hilarious to her, though she did not know why for she never really found humour within such faces and postures. Then his rant started. "Why should I divulge such a thing?" She cracked an odd smile, just before his new sentences formed in his mouth. "To know the name of a thing is to have control over it. Am I required to name myself? Are these your woods that I am intruding and must make myself known?" That seemed to be the end, for now and she blinked at his abrupt outburst. Her lip was still curled from when she had first started her smile. Must be sensitive... It was odd to her, the she-wolf's first impression of the male was not the kind that he should appear to feel insulted in some way, but instead that he would be loud and conversation going in a different sense to sounding as she had hurt him. She shrugged it off, Auroras was sure she was just overthinking it all.
A few stretches and thrown smiles later from the wild male, he oddly enough, introduced himself to them. It was if Pan's previous words had never existed, just a figment of her imagination. She even doubted herself for a second, before reassuring herself that she sure did hear it. She was quite sure that shocked thought had transferred onto her face, judging by how much it struck her. She stared blankly for a small while before a heavy sigh came from the new wolf. Yeah, Pan must of finally been getting the message that they were probably the worst at making interesting comments. It sure did seem that way. She went back to her thoughts, thinking of how she could possibly get of the dull situation. Another interruption, he now cleared his throat before talking again. "Ah... I suppose I should ask for your names too. That's what's polite, isn't it? See, I don't care much for politeness—or for your names, honestly—so I have to ask to be sure." She honestly didn't care much for politeness either—well maybe a little... But that didn't matter in the slightest, all that mattered was they were (hopefully) getting somewhere in the conversation. She placed the limp prey onto the ground so that she could speak without some sort of intervention. "Well, I got to agree with you there, politeness isn't exactly the most important thing to me." She admitted. "Oh and my name's Auroras, good to meet you."

(Sorry it's short.) Earendil kneaded the ground at his feet in nervous energy. There were a million other things he could do to burn it off but he was stuck here for now. "Earendil. No comment on the politeness matter but I couldn't care less if you ignore its rules. His stomach growled and he shook out his fur and looked around trying to find something he could eat for his dinner. He walked around a little and found the scent of another rabbit. Small but he couldn't and wouldn't complain. He called back to his companions letting them know that he was going to get something to eat.

Pan;
Pan sighed as they more or less agreed with him on the matter of being polite. A mischievous smile played at the corner of his mouth as they both introduced themselves. So Earendil and Auroras, was it? Both names made him think of the night sky, for some reason. He bent and finished his bird in a few quick bites, spitting the last of the feathers onto the snow.
Earendil must have been hungry; after all he was the only one without prey to eat, and he excused himself shortly after to go and hunt. Pan watched him go, swallowing the last bite, then turned to Auroras. "So what's his story?"

Auroras: She watched as Earendil turned to leave, his figure quickly disappearing as he picked up some sort of scent. The sight reminded her of her own prey and she began to chew of a foot while looking at Pan, his mouth began to move as he spoke. "So what's his story?" Auroras shrugged, she wasn't so sure herself. She wondered also what had made him so pink in the first place."To be honest? I actually have no idea." The she wolf continued to chew on her rabbit, most of its body had been consumed. "What are you doing around these parts anyway? If I had realised I was in the Forest Of Love I would of already turned back, too much pink if you ask me." She quickly murmured to herself. "It's not like I want to find any love in a place like this anyway."
Her gaze was still on him, but she hadn't catergorised him as an Evil wolf, he just didn't seem to radiate it like some others she had heard of. Her best guess would be Netrual, not that it mattered too much to her, but hey she might as well play around in her mind while she waited for his reply. What the she-wolf really wondered was what he had been doing in some trees, if the bird hadn't fallen out of course. It just seemed so odd with the many other options of easy prey around. She pondered about it, but couldn't find any reason why, though she noted that if she had the ability to climb the monstrosities that were trees here, it would be a good hiding place.

Earendil found his rabbit and quickly ended its life. He picked the lagomorph up in his jaws and walked back towards the other two. He overheard Pan asking Auroras about him and dropped his catch on the ground. He let her answer but when he knew she was done opened his mouth. "If you'd like to know my story perhaps you should ask me yourself. Auroras hasn't known me for very long and our conversation can not have been classified as captivating so far." He suspected that the wolf had been spying on them, but since he had no proof, he kept his mouth shut.
He began eating his own dinner, still keeping to the trees, and partially concealing his bright coat. He guessed form Auroras's earlier conversation and the words he had overheard that she didn't care for pink but he didn't either. He didn't feel that either of the wolves could be called evil but he definitely didn't like the vibe that came from the male. Earendil didn't feel like he was being watched anymore and in his mind, he contributed it to the fact that Pan was with them. It didn't really make much difference to him who had been spying so he knew that he should just let it go, but he couldn't bring himself to. After all, it was either that or focus on the fact that he was a pink wolf in a pink forest.

Pan;
The female didn't seem to understand the male any more than Pan did; at least, that's what she said. The little male nodded along, a wicked sort of grin plastering on his face as she continued. She asked him what he was doing, which just caused his grin to widen. "I'm doing exactly what I'm doing," Pan said, spitting a feather out of his mouth from his meal and ruffling his coat and mane. Intruding on other wolves' showings of love, or poor-attempts at finding love, simply because I find the whole thing funny and wholly ridiculous." His ears flicked and he met her eyes, now angling the wild smile towards her. She then watched him, calculatingly so, and Pan's smile disappeared and he watched her right back, matching her intensity and the curious glint in her eyes. The tension between them was interrupted by Earendil's voice behind them. Pan rolled his eyes but started smiling once more, then spun around so quickly that his mane-feather whipped out to the side.
"Alright, I will," Pan said, eyes glowing, never having been one to back down from passive-aggressive comments. He ate them up—Pan loved tension. "What's the deal with you?" He eyed him up and down rather obviously, though of course, he had already taken in both stranger's appearances. But from what he had heard from the trees, it sounded as though the male wasn't happy with his pink coat colour, and therefore Pan wanted to make it quite apparent that he noticed it. Another smile pulled at the corner of his mouth.

Auroras: The intensity of the conversation had quickly changed. There was an air of tensity and passive-aggressiveness that seemed to surround them. Pan was staring her down in an equally intense way as the air around them. She tried to let herself relax, but her body language was far too alert and on edge of that. Her ears flickered, announcing Earendil's return with prey in tow. It smelled fresh too, so he must of found it alive. A voice filled her ears not long after, but it was not her arriving aquantince. "I'm doing exactly what I'm doing," Auroras' mind flickered with confusion and curiousity at what Pan's words really meant, for they couldn't mean standing and talking to the pair. A shake of his fur and a spit later, he continued once again. "Intruding on other wolves' showings of love, or poor-attempts at finding love, simply because I find the whole thing funny and wholly ridiculous." Well that explained it. It explained the bird too, for where else would he be hiding and hunting at the same time without them knowing? His wild gaze was upon her once again, his odd grin still plastered to his face as if life itself was an eternal joke.
"If you are looking for some loved-up wolves, I would have to say you're looking in quite an odd place," Her eyes were on him so that he knew that he was the one being addressed. "I have indeed heard others finding love in this very blinding forest that I'll definitely admit is hard to look at, but I search for no such thing. Especially in a place like this." If he was indeed sensitive which she deemed was not so, them maybe she might of sounded a tad harsh. She also remembered another thing she could mention. "I cannot talk for Earendil, but I believe he himself was not quite looking for that either, though all the same I could be wrong." Auroras was about to give one final note but instead Pan came in. "Alright I will," He was talking to Earendil now, taking up his "offer". The glint of amusement in his eyes was unmistakeable. "What's the deal with you?"
Auroras changed her glance from Pan to Earendil, for she wondered it too. Would he give them an honest answer? Squirm his way out? She did not know, but the tension was rising and soon someone would break.

Earendil finished the last bite of his dinner as Auroras was speaking. His eyes were lidded and a grin flitted at the edges of his mouth as Pan returned followed his advice. "You see a pink wolf, an unhappy one who claims they weren't born pink, and you assume that they have a story to tell. How very disappointing of you. But I'll make a deal. If you're willing to tell me your story, I'll tell you mine. After all, if you don't divulge any personal information yourself, why should I?" This wolf, who apparently had a penchant for walking on the wild side of things, had been offended at the mere asking of his name. Then he had switched gears and told them with seemingly good cheer. He obviously didn't have the most stable of characters, and Earendil really wasn't comfortable telling a stranger his life story without reason, but he refused mainly to show the wolf that he wasn't an open book. That every piece of information he wished to learn about Earendil would cost him something about himself.
He turned to look at Auroras then and noticed that she was darting glances between them, and she had a spark of curiosity about her features. He wouldn't mind telling her his story, eventually, but at the moment she was still nothing but an acquaintance who had wandered unknowingly into the forest and met him. He felt guilty for not mentioning that he was indeed here looking for a mate, forced to by a quest, especially since she seemed to think that wasn't his motive for being here. He contemplated telling her, but that would spoil his game. He decided that he would keep that to himself for now, but if he were around some other time, he would tell her. "You aren't right, but you aren't wrong either. I suppose that just depends on how things play out." He cocked his head, trying to figure out how to make this less about him and more about her.
"If you do not search for love, does that mean you are opposed to it? Just asking out of curiosity." He admitted it wasn't the best question he could have asked, nor was it the right one for the conversation, but it was all his mind offered up.

Pan;
Earendil caught Pan off-guard then, though his facial expression did not change. Auroras had replied in much the style that Pan had expected, a little bit of good-natured challenging, a little bit harsh. But Earendil had asked him about his own story. Pan was a master-mask wearer, so he kept the light in his eyes and the mischievous quirk to his smile with ease, but his mind had started turning a mile a minute. What to say? He could say the truth, but there was no sense in that. No good, would come of that. He could, and oh he was good at lying. Oh what a game it should be, to lie. A real spark of fun flashed in his eyes, then. Who should he be, today?
"My story?" He echoed, letting a note false surprise bleed into his voice. His tail flicked, and he gave the feather in his mane a little shake. "It's a rather unique story... I could tell it if you like." He gave Auroras a sideways glance, as if silently inviting her to the story as well. "I was born the only son of a Beta-couple, in a strong pack far from here. Every wolf was given a piercing at birth, to show their rank and birthrite. I got the black fossilized bar, obviously, a sign that I was to inherit the pack should the Alpha's first-born son meet his death. The Alpha's son and I were close, but on the night of his assassination..." Pan's eyes darkened. "I was taken—though not killed. A rival pack, a dark pack, became my home. The feather, red like the blood of our enemies, was its sigil. Long-story short, I escaped in the dark of night, as one does—but to this day I keep both piercing and feather, to remind me firstly of where I come from, and secondly where I was forced to go. It is my belief that if I keep hold of these talismans, I shan't have to go through such things again."
Whether he was lying or not would most likely be a complete mystery to his conversation-partners. He was gifted with words, but also had a distinctly wild-air about him, meaning the story could be completely true. He dipped his head when he was done, flashing off his talismans, then quirked his grin back in place. "Unique," He mused into the silence that followed.
