Acribus;
The male had the gall to suggest that he knew more about which wolves deserved what than Acribus did. It was almost funny, if it hadn't been so irritating. He said the intruder didn't deserve slavery, but that just showed how little he truly knew. Besides, him suggesting that any wolf didn't deserve to be a slave for Midnight Silence hinted that perhaps he didn't hold the pack in as high of regard as he should. That was the most irking of all. Acribus' purple eyes flashed dangerously, and he trotted down the rock to follow the siblings. The sister had turned against the brother right away. She, at least, seemed to have a better head on her shoulders; however, she had let the female go as well. Even told her to stay safe. These types of evil wolves were the most confusing to Acribus. All talk and no bite at all. He eyed hem blankly, drawing himself up to his full height, which was not as large as the male.
"Even if it wasn't your idea, female, you went along with it. You told the intruder to stay safe—wishing her well on her journey. Her journey out of our pack land. No matter what intentions either of you had," He glanced at Mayhem darkly. "Neither of you escorted her out, either. She has now been shown that Midnight Silence is weak when dealing with trespassers. I fully expect her to just be deeper within or territory now. So now I have to waste my own time, hunting her and killing her. This could have all been avoided if you had either done just so, enslaved her, or escorted her. But you two did neither." He growled. "And I would like to know why."
Another's scent hit his nose then, too. His head whipped around and the growl that danced out of his shattered throat was truly blood cooling. He rolled his eyes so violently that they dipped into the back of his head. He would deal with her in a moment. First, he was dealing with his own pack members. Fjord's pack members. The ice king would not react well to the knowledge that the siblings had acted as they had. Acribus intended to discipline them both accordingly. His eyes travelled to the intruding female (the second of the day), locking onto her and preparing to track her down as well should she run.

Hailstorme knew Acribus was right, and she got off Mayhem. "Mayhem and I had made an agreement long before we entered the valley. I would follow his command, weather I liked it or not. But we ought to change that." Mayhem refused to stand, merely looking at Acribus and his sister, occasionally looking at the intruder wolf. Hailstorme averted her gaze, aware that the female was there, but even more aware that she was in for some sort of punishment - both her and her brother. "The pack itself is not weak, but we are. We are fools, sir." Mayhem's voice was shallow, and Hailstorme swallowed before nodding. "We set her off because I went against pack instincts and I told my sister not to follow." Hailstorme didn't flinch, but turned her gaze to the intruder before the ground.

Ash flickered her ear. She smirked slightly as her mischievous side took control. That and curiosity. "Oh, am I trespassing?" She asked innocently with an innocent look as she stepped out looking submissive. Her ears were down, and her appearance was ragged. As soon as she saw the wolves up close however, she saw that there was no hope in running. Fear and anxiety filled her, and she was pretty sure they could smell it radiating off of her. She kept a distance, after all, she did not need them to smell the blood on her coat and think it was hers'. She had to kill another loner group, she was slightly injured and most of the blood was the loner group's. She looked around, but she could just smell the pack territory. If they talked about enslaving wolves, she feared what else was acceptable. All she knew, she needed a pack, a home, food, and a new life apparently.

Acribus;
Acribus glowered at the sibling pair. The arguments they were making were only serving to set him more against them. The sister would follow the brother, Mayhem apparently, no matter what. Acribus' ears flicked. He would have thought that she would chose to follow Fjord and Skia before her brother. But apparently this was not the case. Dealing with trespassers was not a hard concept to grasp, and the idea of teaching either of them how to do it was making his head ache. "Yes, we ought to change that. Male, you seemed so pro-slavery a moment ago that I am half-inclined to demote you to just such a position yourself." He half sighed, and swung his head to the other female who walked out of the bushes, acting innocent. Acribus growled more audibly now before his voice rasped again. "Yes. You are trespassing. Just what did you think all that pack-stench meant?"
He turned quickly to Mayhem and Hailstorme. "As members of Midnight Silence, immobilize her." He nodded sharply to the female. No need to get his paws ready if he didn't have to. If the intruder was smart, she would run—but she looked too hurt to do so. In any case, once the siblings had a proper hold on her and could ensure she wasn't going anywhere, then Acribus would get to work. He glanced threateningly at the siblings. This was part task, and part test. They weren't exactly in his good books just then.

(Aye yo Ash, you need to wait for Me to post before you do.)
Mayhem leaped up when Acribus nodded to the intruder, and Hailstorme had already narrowed her eyes. Mayhem nodded, then looked to his sister. She did not look to him, but she instead went after the white female. Hailstorme's eyes were focused just on the intruder, and she lunged. Mayhem simply slunk to the right of the female, slightly limping along the way. Once he was at an ideal angle, he went head first at the female. 'I'm not going down without proving I can take down an intruder!' He thought as he aimed for one of her legs. Hailstorme went for the female's neck, something her brother would despise, but she enjoyed seeing him upset more often than not.
(Now, Ash you can choose if those two get a leg and the neck, but otherwise be aware of the post patterns!)

(Ah, terribly sorry. I haven't done this type of roleplay in awhile and the rules were quite confusing!)
Ash narrowed her eyes. She saw the female, and realized if she moved to the right, she'd avoid the female lunging for the fatal blow to her neck. She didn't see the male go to her right. She avoided the female and felt a sharp pain in her leg. She growled and swung her head around and snapped at his tail, hoping to catch it so he might let go. The mud and blood of the loner's she killed didn't help the rapid movements, they slowed her, mainly because they were caked on and allowed her to turn so much. She hoped to what ever god or goddess was up there, that they let her catch his tail. Then let her in the river to clean off...
(I will be off for the rest of the week... sadly I just got grounded and I'll be back on saturday)

Acribus;
Acribus watched with impassivity as the siblings hopped to his command. Hailstorme went straight for the neck, an obvious move (though ruthless, and Acribus could appreciate that), and Mayhem snapped at her leg. The female dodged the other female's attack but got all hung up in Mayhem's teeth. It was a short and small scuffle in the end, over quickly, but at least the whelp had been nuetralized.
"Tell me," Acribus wheezed, ignoring the siblings holding Ash in place and speaking directly to her. "What wolf in their right mind comes into well-marked pack land without permission? Have you not heard of Midnight Silence?" Her eyes kept flashing towards the river while he was speaking, as if she couldn't be bothered by the situation at hand. This seemed silly to Acribus, because for all she knew, her life could currently be on the line. He deduced that she was looking at the water because her fur was a mess, but that only proved to him that she really didn't grasp the seriousness of the situation. To make a point, he dragged his paw through the mud at their feet and flung it up at her, face blank. The condition of her fur was so low on Acribus' priorities list that it was almost funny.
"Usually," He continued as if he hadn't touched the mud at all. "We do not forgive trespassers easily. But apparently that is the theme of the day." His purple eyes flashed towards Mayhem as he relaxed back onto his haunches. His thin shoulders pressed against the loose skin, setting his wirey fur off at odd angles and he heaved an irritated sighed. He let his eyes close, but opened them again soon after and fixed both of the siblings with a dark look.
"I should not have to be babysitting all three of you right now. You two shoudl not be on my radar. I should be able to rest easy knowing that our pack members will kill or attack intruders on sight, or howl for their alpha or myself. Apparently, though, our pack members do not do this, and me saying that that has to change is an incredible understatement." He then turned his eyes to the group at large. "So what I'm currently trying to decide on, is a proper punishment for all three of you. You," He nodded at Ash, his voice grating on the ears, as usual. "For setting even one of your disgusting paws on our land without consent and then acting like you didn't know what you were doing—and you," He nodded at the siblings now. "For wasting my time and being useless members of this pack."
He got up and began pacing slowly, keeping his eyes on the trio as he weaved back and forth in front of them. "But what to do... Perhaps you can help me decide."

Hailstorme had to halt before she got to the river, and she stood up and glared at the female. Mayhem had caught her glare, but he ignored it as he felt the female's teeth hit his tail, which was still sore because his sister's extreme grip on it before. He yelped, sunk his teeth into her leg deeper, then tore his jaws away from it, creating a large gash on her leg. He fell back a little bit but stabilized himself before looking at Acribus. Hailstorme did the same but kept her eyes on the intruder in case she were to run. When the beta had said that the pack members didn't kill, attack, or signal him or their alpha if an intruder was in the territory, both of the siblings knew he was talking about them. Hailstorme flinched and Mayhem sighed inwardly. When Acribus nodded to the two and said that they wasted his time and that they were being useless members of the pack, they both knew it was true. They both averted their gazes and lowered their ears.
Then he paced slowly in front of the trio, letting them know they could help decide their punishment. Mayhem sat down and looked back at Acribus. "You've already thought of placing me as a slave, sir, and I do agree with you." Mayhem knew fully well what he was saying, to be demoted as a slave would be different, but he experienced something similar when it came to his adopted siblings bossing him and Hailstorme around in their former pack. Hailstorme was a lot slower thinking about it, but she thought before shrugging. "In all honesty, sir, I am uncertain with my punishment." She dipped her head and shifted her paws.

(Magically not grounded...)
Ash scoffed and growled slightly at the mud on her face. She could tell the higher authority didn't like her very much. She didn't know if that was a good or bad thing, and she didn't care. "Setting my disgusting paws on Midnight Silence Territory," she repeated half-growling. "Because you wolves have the good side of the river. The part that won't freeze my fur off. I have no Idea what or who Midnight Silence is. If that's you three, I'm not impressed. My family was worse that." She referred to the skirmish she just had, the higher authority holding her muzzle to the dirt, and the mentions to the slavery. She glared at them and walked into the river. "I'd appreciate it if I could wash this loner blood off me, without getting killed." She growled. She was telling the truth. Even though she was traumatized about the killing of her family group/pack, they'd put her through worse. She still remembered the time she refused to kill an innocent pup, in front of her father, The Alpha. That was the worst mistake in her life. So, to put it lightly, she thought in a way, she deserved to die. She had killed the pup after her father gave her the scar on her muzzle. That was the only thing she still has regrets about. She started to think about the higher authority's words and laughed. "Also, if I can't step paw into the territory, how am I supposed to get consent, oh gracious one?" She said the final part sarcastically, trying to get her point across but she feared she'd sealed her fate as a dead wolf.

((Yay! Magic!))
Acribus;
To his credit, Mayhem said he agreed with Acribus. This struck a chord with the beta, to his own surprise. It was hard to surprise Acribus, so he took notice of it. It didn't change his mind about Mayhem or his sister, but he had at least taken notice. Perhaps he didn't understand the magnitude of what becoming a slave would mean... but then again, in all honesty slavery was better than death; well, for some. Acribus would rather die—but it was not his fate currently on the line. Hailstorme, on the other hand, admitted she didn't know what her punishment should be. Acribus was inclined to agree. He had already made up his mind about Mayhem, since he had instigated the entire thing, but Hailstorme was a puzzle. He supposed it was possible that she hadn't gone against the first intruder because of family loyalty or some garbage like that. That being said, it could be assumed that she would have killed the female if she had been alone—or not so married to the idea of obeying her brother.
And then, "Oh I know just how to punish you two."
But even with that made up in his mind, there was still the quick-talking female to deal with. She was irking him more and more by the minute. She admitted that she did not know who Midnight Silence was—nay, she proclaimed it, as if the knowledge was something to be proud of. She tried to explain away her trespassing, too, as if that would make it acceptable. Acribus' eyes fluttered closed as if he was warding off a headache. He saw now that he would have to do this formally.
"There are three allignments in this valley as lead by the White Wolf goddesses, and they are good, neutral, and evil. Midnight Silence is the largest pack in the valley, and the most purely evil out of all of them. I am Acribus, beta to Fjord and Skia." Even saying the alpha pair's names seemed to speak of power. They commanded respect, even when they weren't around. "We fought long and hard for the 'good' side of the river, and there are scores of wolves who would die before seeing a trespasser like you reap the benefits of our land. And you are struck unimpressed? Then let me be the first to tell you that we are but a shadow of the power and reach that Midnight Silence commands. Lead by the Ice King himself, I promise you that we are worse than you have seen before." And if they weren't, well, Acribus could make it so. He could tell her about the Rituals of Silence, where Midnight Silence pups were forced to kill neutral or good pups to gain respect, or be killed in the process. He could tell her of the plans of war that he and the alpha's were plotting, and the abductions and murders that would happen before the fighting even started. He could tell her about the Marks of Silence—icey burns placed into the flesh of all members by Fjord—the list went on.
"How am I supposed to get consent, oh gracious one?" Acribus eyes widened still further and he even looked toward Mayhem and Hailstorme in disbelief.
"You howl at the border," He said, true shock colouring his ruined voice for the first time in a long time. How far must this female have come to not have heard of that tradition before? Leagues and leagues, surely. If Acribus wasn't inches away from having her killed, he would have asked her about it. But then he recalled that she had said she wanted to wash the 'loner' blood off of her. He lifted his brow. "Loner blood? If I'm not much mistaken, you're the loner here. And on my land to boot. But I'll tell you what. Since you have so aptly dubbed me Gracious One, I will let you wash that blood off."
He walked close to her as he spoke, glancing only once at Mayhem and Hailstorme and giving them a small, wicked smile meant only to be shared among pack members. He looked into the slow moving river close at their feet, then barrelled into Ash with unforeseen speed and power. Acribus was no large wolf—but he was one of the most determined and toughest wolves to be found. Getting hit with force such as that would most likely send Ash toppling into the water, though only her pride would be truly injured, as the water wasn't at a dangerous level or speed. Acribus turned to the siblings as if he had done nothing at all, flicking an ear.

The siblings, if they weren't uncomfortable with being in the presence of Acribus, they surely were now when he said "Oh I know just how to punish you two." Mayhem flinched but Hailstorme nodded. Then their attention was focused on the female. She had proclaimed she did not know of Midnight Silence, and that got Hailstorme's blood boiling. She had to force her emotions down as Acribus ranted about the allignments and that Midnight Silence was the largest and most evil in the valley. That she could agree on, so she nodded, eyes glinting. When Acribus looked to the siblings with a look of disbelief, Mayhem responded with looking at the female, and looking at her quizically. Hailstorme simply stared wide-eyed at the intruder, her stance changing to an offensive one.
Then Acribus told the female that she was a loner, walking closer to her in the process. He then gave Mayhem and Hailstorme a smile, before barreling into the Ash. Mayhem had to lean in for the heck of it and Hailstorme simply looked as it happened. They straightened their posture as Acribus looked to them as if he didn't do anything.

Ash was about to say something but she was knocked deeper into the river. Her leg that was bitten, slammed into a rock. She tried to yelp, but as usual, all that came out was air. She grimaced as she remembered that she could no longer howl or yelp. She stood up, walked out of the river. She tried to pay no attention to her past, but after getting onto the river bank, she collapsed. She buried her paws over her muzzle and cursed herself for being weak. She then pushed the fur away from her throat, showing a scar that ran across her throat. It was visible to them now. "What if you can't howl...?" She asked in a low voice. That's what she hated. Moving on from that question she looked at the higher authority. "I'm not a loner. I'm of Alpha lineage. My pack was killed because I couldn't howl to warn them. I couldn't howl because my brother tried to kill me, instead he left this scar. What ever you and your pack is like, I can tell you this, you are not as evil as you think. I'm not disrespecting you or your pack. I'm making a statement. I've seen packs that have mated with their sons and daughters. I've seen packs who've mated with their brothers and sisters. I've been in a pack, where you kill someone to earn a title, a rank. I've been the beta, the gamma, even an alpha, but I've also been the omega. The slave. The victim. I've been many things. One thing I am and always will be, is a sole survivor and a failure. You dislike these wolves not because they didn't howl or kill the loner before me, but because they didn't warn anyone. I get that." Ash looked out towards the border. "Because anyone that walks across the border could be out to kill you all." She looked to the higher authority. "You said something of a punishment. If I've already served mine, then I shall be out of your fur. If not, then place your punishment. I did what I said I would do, and I always keep to my word."
//I just realized that Ash is the type of person who is wise, sarcastic, blunt and Neutral but leans towards Evil. And she makes people mad... 😹😹//

((Alright, I discussed with Ash what an appropriate punishment would be, so I'm just going to have Acribus go ahead with it )) Acribus;The female, Ash, didn't seem to get the hint. Even after Acribus had bodily knocked her into the water and Mayhem had all but ripped her tail off, she still crawled out of the water and sat on their dirt as if that was it. She was muddying their ground, as if getting wet and having her pride hurt a little bit was an appropriate consiquence. Acribus could only shake his head in mute disbelief when she continued on the conversation. She lifted up a paw to show a scar that ran along her neck. Though so similiar suddenly, Acribus felt no familiarity with her. He lifted his own head, showing off the fur that grew pure white in a slash against his neck. The fur grew white because of the scar underneath—Acribus didn't feel the need to show his actual skin. The white line mirrored the slice exactly. He was about to comment on it, when she continued talking and claiming she wasn't a loner. Acribus actually laughed, though it was a poor imitation of the real thing. "I'm so sorry," He wheezed, clearly not sorry at all. "But you are a loner if you do not belong to a pack. Alpha lineage? I spit on alpha lineage. Unless you are from Midnight Silence, Secluded Sunrise, Eternal Snowfall, or Frigid Plague, then you are most certainly a loner. Your past means nothing—less than nothing. It is the mud beneath my paws." He advanced on her, his tongue shifting through his teeth like some kind of reptile. He glanced at the siblings and nodded toward Ash, signalling them to flank her as Ash said that her brother tried to kill her. Acribus laughed again. "My mother left me this." He did not feel the need to elaborate as she had done. Her next statement made him shake his head again. She just wasn't getting it. "No. We are exactly as evil as we think we are. We make a goal of being so, actually—though by all means, stick around until Fjord comes and see for yourself. You think being in a pack that makes its members kill to earn a rank is even worth mention, and that shows just how much we would shock you."He growled. She thought she could shock them with what she was saying. So far none of it even measured up to their Rage Rituals, where their own pups, if they lost, were often killed by their parents. Midnight Silence had no room for weaklings, and it all started with the Little Brothers and Sisters. Nobody shed any tears for pups that died during the ceremony. If they died, they were meant to have died. Everyone was better of. He shook his head slowly once more, wondering how in the Power's name he was supposed to get this across to her. "You can continue spouting all of your nonesense for shock value all you want, but none of it phases me. None of it. I cannot count, cannot even count the number of wolves that I have killed. The pups alone that have died by my teeth are almost innumerable; indeed, because most are so unimporant, so young, that I do not even have reason to remember them." His voice was grating. He usually didn't talk this much. "And no, you're wrong again. Still wrong. Wrong about everything. I do not dislike Mayhem and Hailstorme—I am their beta. I own them, as Fjord and Skia own me and all that roam this land. And you are wrong to assume you know the inner workings of my mind. I am angry with them because they did not do their duty. They can howl or not howl, I could care less—it is the trespasers responsibility to do as such. To pass our border without permission is to die. And Mayhem and Hailstorme failed me. Failed Fjord. You, by rights, should no longer be able to inflate your own sorry lungs. You are on Midnight Silence territory now."He stepped closer again, looking down at her. "Midnight Silence does not care about your past. We do not care about your trouble. We do not care for your long-winded and otherwise useless anecdotes. You do not understand the first thing about this pack, I promise you." As he spoke his Mark of Silence, the permanently blue-burned flesh gained by being touched with Fjord's ice, caught the light. Acribus licked his teeth once more. "And no, your punishment is not nearly over."And then his teeth hit her. He snapped at her neck, burrying his teeth deep into her skin. He leapt upon her and raked his sharp back claws down the soft tissue of her underside. He shoved her down, exhibiting his strength, and dug his teeth into the small of her neck beside her shoulder. No, he wouldn't kill her. He was tempted to see if she would have the gall to return. At that time, he would kill her. But not before. Her bood began flowing, and Acribus grinned as it coated his mouth and face. The attack continued for minutes on end, for when Acribus was determined, he was difficult to stop. Finally, he leapt off again, circling once and snapping at her ear as it all ended, tearing it badly. It would heal, but the scar would last a lifetime. His eyes were wild and he turned to the twins, his off-white fur now stained almost entirely red. He gave them a look, as if explaining that this is what they should have done in the first place. "Now," Acribus began in a dangerously quiet voice, not even out of breath after everything that he had just done. "For you two. Mayhem, I hereby demote you from Brother to Servant. You are no longer a member of Midnight Silence, but are bound to it on pain of death." He leaned toward Mayhem and dragged his claw down the male's already existing mark of silence. His claws were sharpened, and it was easy to break through the fur to the skin beneath. He carved an opposite-half moon against the shape, making a curved 'X'. It would scar, and Mayhem would be permanently marked as a servant. Better still, he would be marked as one who used to be a Brother, by the blue half-moon, and also one who became a servant, by the scar-coloured opposite. Acribus grinned wickedly. "You are now a servant to the pack as a whole. Those above you now have my utmost blessing to punish you in any way they see fit. However, you will also have a designated master..." His eyes flicked to Hailstorme meaningfully. "Your punishment, female, is that you are now his master. The relationship with your brother will no longer be give and take, for he will give you everything and will take nothing in return. It may seem like a gift at first, but I believe in time you will discover why I chose this as your punishment."He glanced at Ash, muddy and bloody down on the ground, then at the siblings, one a member of the pack, one a lowly servant. "You two. Get this female out of my sight and off of our lands."

Hailstorme watched on in admiration as Acribus assaulted the female, digging his claws and teeth into her neck before getting off. He looked at Mayhem and Hailstorme, then he told them about the punishment. Hailstorme watched as the beta carved a new mark on her brother, demoting him to servant. Then he looked to her, before saying she was now his master. She didn't resist grinning, still keeping in mind what Acribus last said before glancing at the female.
Mayhem nodded gloomily, and dug his muzzle into the skin and fur on the back of Ash's neck, Hailstorme following and gently picking her up with her own teeth. The two dragged her from the river, occasionally stopping to look at each other.

Ash knew she was defeated. She didn't resist the so called punishment that came her way. Her father had always scared her muzzle to keep her mouth shut. She felt the teeth dig into her skin and she closed her eyes. She always closed her eyes in comfort when pain had been given to her. It was like praising her, she loved and hated it. She felt the higher authority release his teeth. She didn't open her eyes, but heard everything. She felt two wolves drag her away and she felt her back leg, that had been wounded, go limp. She didn't care. After all, no one cared she was of a great clan, one that would've made these small wolves whimper in fear, and the strong to howl in praise to their Alpha. In the back of her mind, she whimpered. She needed a home. A pack. This one, obviously didn't care for her. So she didn't care for them.
