"There is always going to be something that will put you in danger PinkHeart. You can't live your life in one spot because you're afraid of that danger. It's not jut animals though. Some threats are unseen. You never know when there might be a famine or drought and we don't have access to food or water." His face softened though. "Don't worry about the animals though. I'll protect you" Letting his tongue rest for a second he went on to answer her other questions. "I'm sorry to disappoint you but pink is not my favorite color, purple is. However, since I met you pink has become my second favorite color. I didn't leave my family to travel because I don't have any family. They all died when I was young. So what's your favorite color?"

She smiled at him and rested her head on his shoulder. "OK as long as you don't get hurt protecting me." she said smiling. She heard his question and thought it over. "I would say my favorite color is blue because it is the color of the sky on a nice day. My other favorite color is pink because one its my color and two its a color for love." she said smiling at him. She knew what question she wanted to ask. "OK next question what do you like about me and how much do you like me?" she asked him.

"Well I do love blue as well. I also enjoy certain shades of green." He smiled at her second question and thought for a while. Well I guess I would say that I like the way you're easygoing the most and I like you immensely. Now it's your turn to answer that question." He honestly was curious about what the answer would be. He didn't really see anything lovable about himself but he supposed that everyone felt that way. He wondered how she'd react to his statement and if she agreed with his assessment of her assessment. So many unknowns and so few answers.

She wondered what immensely meant then heard him. "well what I like about you is a omg list. First off you can always find a way to make me laugh. Second you are really nice to me and showed me how pretty the world is outside of the pink forest." she said smiling. She thought about the next question she should ask him then she got it. She took her head off ofbis shoulder and smiled. "OK next question when you first saw me what popped into your mind." she said smiling. She wondered what he thought of her when he first saw her.

"When I first saw you the first think that popped into my mind was the fact that you're pink." His face was straight but anyone that looked at him could tell he was joking by the way he moved and the way his ears flickered. He looked at her. He had been joking about the pink part but he realized that it was true. The first thing he had noticed about PinkHeart was the fact that she was glaringly pink. The second thing he had noticed was the fact that she was in the forest of love. He decided to ask one of his own questions then. "What was your family like?"

She heard his answer and giggled. Of course the first thing he thought of her was pink. She listened as he asked a question and she got uneasy. "umm well they where really sweet wolves who where really protective. My dad would never let me leave his side so most of my childhood I never left home. Then when I turned one I explored without them. I found a really nice den and lived there not knowing where or what my family was doing. The den is the same one I am in now. Like I said I don't move much." she said chuckling. She wondered if he would ask why Shen left he parents beside cause almost everyone who hears her story does. She looked at him with wondering eyes ready for the next question.

He nodded in understanding. "Where are your parents now?" He didn't know why but he wanted to know about PinkHeart and while he did get curious it normally didn't affect him this much. Maybe it was just because this was the longest he had spent with a wolf since he was a pup barely able to see or maybe it was just because he enjoyed PinkHeart's company. It was such a relief to find at least one wolf that had had a semi-normal childhood. He figured that she had probably left home because her father had been too protective and they had had a falling out but even if he wasn't right that wasn't what he wanted to know about.

She thought his question over but she had no answer. "well I don't know where they are I left when I was young and don't know what they did." she said looking down. She wondered if life would have been different if she didn't leave. Of course that would mean she didn't meet maachah which she could never imagine. She smiled at him and thought of another question. "my turn what about you why won't you talk about your parents and making me do all the talking." she said giggling. She still loved to be funny and wanted to make him know that.

He glanced at her in surprise. "I told you, my family died when I was young, and I don't really remember what they were like." He sat quietly for a while with his eyes closed. Suddenly they popped back open again and in a bright voice said "Nope, don't remember them. Your turn to ask me a question. He said this in his bright voice but there was an edge to it and there was a strange look on his face. He shook his head and smiled brightly but anyone looking at him could tell it was fake. "So go ahead. Ask me a question."

She knew right when she said it that it was a bad thing. She knew he thought that subject was touchy but knew he still wanted to know about her. She smiled at him and thought of a question. She ended up with three and smiled more. "Ok first question what is your favorite prey? Second question what do you like to do in your spare time?" she said smiling. "And third where do you want to travel with me?" she said smiling. She wondered what he would say for each question and if they got his mind of his parents. She hoped it did.

He looked up in ponderous thought at her questions. "One I don't think I have a favorite food. I like to sleep in my spare time because every other minute of my time is spent travelling and surviving." The last question gave him pause. Then he smiled. "I want to travel anywhere and everywhere with you PinkHeart." He relaxed and thought of a few questions he wanted to ask her. "One, do you have any nickname and if so why are you nicknamed that? Two, how old are you and how long have you lived in your current den? And last, I want you to answer your second question." He would have thought up another question of his own but he was lazy and didn't feel like it.

She giggled at all his answers then listened to his question. "well I have many nicknames like pinky, sweetie, beautiful, but my favorite is PH cause it's my initials." she said smiling. She thought about the second question and wondered if Shen was older than him. "well I'm a little over two years." she said smiling more. "I have lived in that den ever since I left my parents.....I never left cause I was alone and scared of the world." she said wincing when she said parents hoping he didn't feel bad. She thought over the third question and decided she didn't do much. "Third since I have been alone most my life I only hunted or slept when I was bored, on some occasions I would watch others find mates in the pink forest." she said smiling.

He didn't even seem to notice the mention of her parents but was focused on her answers in themselves. He wasn't really affected by the fact that he didn't remember his parents, he was affected by talking about his feelings. He wasn't used to talking about his feelings or anything for that matter. He curled up closer to her to listen to her better. "What a pretty nickname. I never did acquire a shorter name. Everyone's always called me by my real name. I don't remember how old I am but I know it's within the range of three or four." He settled his head and looked up at her, waiting for her to ask questions of her own.

She smiled at him and the first thing that came to her mind where lots of nicknames for him. "how about ma that sounds like a good name." she said giggling. She put her tail on his and thought about some more questions. "what is your favorite thing to do? How much do you like me? What will we do after this?" she said and blushed on the second one making her pink fur darker. She smiled at him and wondered what they would do when they finish getting to know each other questions. She smiled at him and waited.

"My favorite thing to do would have to be travel. Also, isn't the nickname Ma an abbreviation for Mama? I'm okay with my actual name." As he listened to her second question his face became confused. "Didn't I already answer that question? Or are you just fishing for compliments?" He smiled at her and shrugged then answered her third question. "Well, that depends on what 'after this' means. If you mean after we finish this visit in the prairie I guess we will just wander around. Maybe we'll make some trips to your den and rest a couple of times. If you mean in general, well I don't really know." He didn't know what else to say so he just asked her another question. "How do you feel about pups?" He didn't mean it like it sounded though and his eyes got wide when he heard the question. "I mean, do you like them or not?"
