Arold had purposefully left the question open so that either one of them could answer. "You have to know more about the natives than me Arani." He looked closely at Arani, noticing a flash of jealousy and guilt flash across her face. He couldn't imagine the reason why she should be jealous of anyone, much less her brother. If anything they should be closer than anyone else, feeling pride for the other one's accomplishments rather than feeling envy. It wasn't any of his business though and as long as nobody was in danger of dying from that jealousy, he would keep his trap shut. Baal either didn't notice or didn't care, but knowing how he supposedly worried about his sister it was likely the former.
He could also tell that Arani was surprised at being told she was wrong but the key to it was the way he had said it. He hadn't said that he was wrong completely, he had said that they might both be wrong. He didn't know everything and he certainly wouldn't pretend that he did. He just sought answers to his questions but it didn't seem as though he would get them from Arani since she deferred to Baal. He turned to face the male who had been silent so far.
Turning to him he found him smiling but something he saw on Arold's face made him narrow his eyes. Arold looked at him impassively for a moment then smiled. "Pity you can't read my mind isn't it Baal?" It didn't last long because Baal smiled sadly as he processed Arold's other words. "Indeed I have, although I have often seen much worse than you two and your good-natured squabbles. And I wasn't referring to my faults but rather my upbringing. There are some things I can't change about myself no matter how hard I try." Arold didn't see Baal's optimism as a flaw but rather something to be protected. He knew many wolves would take advantage of his wish to see the good in things.
Then, finally, it seems as though Baal would answer his question about the valley and its residents. Before he can though, a wolf, female by the smell wandered into the clearing with them. She commented on how loud they were bickering but they hadn't really been bickering at all. He shrugged and smiled as she settled herself on the ground as though she was a queen and them her subjects.
She asked a question much the same as Arold's had been and introduced herself after apologizing for her rudeness. "How nice of you to join us Rigid Nexus." Baal also introduces himself and then goes back to answering Arold's question. "So many packs? Could you perhaps tell me about the good pack here? I might be looking to join one soon and would like to know a little bit about the history first." That's what he really wanted to know since he couldn't join the other packs. There would be plenty of time for him to land the lay of the land and pack boundaries later.

Rigid Nexus looked about, listening to them talk and the other male ask questions. After he asked his questions, she turned to the native and her brother. "I've heard a lot from rogues. They tell me this place has a calling of power or some sorts?" Rigid Nexus looked at the other male. "Also about the three sisters and their mother in the highest peak." She turned back towards the two others. Her blue eyes trained on them. "Are they just folklore or do they grant wolves great power?" She asked. "It kind of sounds too good to be true." Nexus let out a small laugh after that. She looked over the other female, and the two males. She could faintly smell the intoxicating scent of blood, but she couldn't pinpoint where with all these new smells and sights around her in the dark.

Arani;
It takes a moment for the thoughts that once splayed out in chaos within her mind to be filed back into place, but it eventually gets there. The predominantly black-coated female sits down in a slightly tense fashion being that an unknown wolf walked in on the conversation covered in blood. "So many packs? Could you perhaps tell me about the good pack here? I might be looking to join one soon and would like to know a little bit about the history first." In that little bunch of words, something catches Arani's attention, "I might be looking to join one soon." It reminded her of something familiar her brother was speaking to her about.
"Ahh. If I do remember correctly, Baal, you're pulling together a little group to claim a territory." Arani's eyes turn toward her brother and her ears pull forward a bit out of interest. What was her brother up to for the past season?
Baal;
While Aran, Arold, and Nexus are more hidden in the darkness, Baal's lighter coat stands out much more and he looks much less like a shadow than the other three around him which is interesting to him. Usually, he sees wolves of all different colors like green or red, but they all happen to be very bright shades of the colors. It's almost like he's surrounded by darkness where he's the only visible light other than what little bit is illuminated from the sun's reflection off of the moon and the tiny, faded stars that crowd the sky.
Baal nods at Arani's question, confirming that he wishes to create his own pack. "There is only one currently running good pack, Secluded Sunrise but, yes, Arani, I have been busy with that for a little while." Baal smiles at the female as he hopes one day she'll want to join him with his plan. After the questions both Arold and Arani asked, the other, new wolf to the group, asked about powers. Ahh. You're talking about the White Wolves. It is true they do exist. They're three sisters who grand wolves of different alliances powers. Taboo is the friendliest, she grants good allied wolves powers, Sheba is the one who stands on the middle ground most, she grants neutral allied wolves powers, and then there's Geist, she grants evil wolves power, but I've heard many things about her taking something from wolves for a power, such as giving mutations to the wolves body or taking body parts. However, I've not met Geist so I couldn't say for sure."

Arold looked kindly at the newcomer for a moment, but his expression morphed when he caught the scent of blood. He knew the smell well, and the hint of it made bad memories resurface. He stood, suddenly tense, and paced further away from the group until he was almost out of the clearing. He turned around to face the other three again. Maybe Baal was a powerful figure here in the valley, one he really couldn't afford to offend, but Arold was willing to take his chances. "That's good to know. If I could be of any help, please let me know." The mention of White Wolves piqued his interest and he resolved to find more information on them at a later date. He wasn't anywhere remotely interested in a power but he thought it might be a good idea to gather as much information on a viable future home of his. Knowledge in itself was power after all.
He backed up so the shadows hid him even more, so much that it was nigh impossible to tell where he was. His muffled voice drifted out of the shadows still in as courteous manner he could muster. "If you will excuse me for a second I have bits of my past to stuff in a box. I'll be back in a bit. Probably." (Didn't realize it was my turn. Been busy lately so the wait time will probably be more common.)

(Sorry this is so short >.< I didn't really know what else to write. Also sorry this took me so long to reply to. Seriously, I'll be getting better at it once I get summer off in a couple of weeks.)
Arani instantly became worried when she saw Arold begin to recoil into the shadows, his body becoming less and less visible as he grew further from the illumination of the stars and moon. Baal, on the other hand, knew exactly what Arold was going through since, like Arold, he was also from a bad past. With worried eyes, Arani calls out to the rough coated male with a careful voice,
"Arold. It's okay. Take your time. Just, The dark female pauses for a moment to sigh, "Just be careful." Baal's eyes flicker to his sister and then back to where he hopes that Arold is hiding in the shadows and as per usual, he only nods, not using his words due to being used to silently giving support. Sometimes it's better to just listen rather than try solving everything and that's exactly how Baal solves a lot of arguments with his sister, although he does get a bit too upset sometimes.

Arold nodded at Arani's words, ignoring the fact that they can't see him at all anymore. Falling back on the experience he had of sneaking around without notice, something he was quite good at, he withdrew so far back that he might as well have left altogether. He couldn't hear the slight sounds of the others breathing anymore, couldn't smell the rank scent of blood which had upset him, could see nothing but the darkness which surrounded him. He didn't know where the scent of blood had come from, only knew that he had smelled it on the air shortly after the newcomer had appeared.
He sighed as he reached that conclusion. She hadn't seemed injured, and he was sure the smell of blood had not come from her. It didn't really matter where the smell had originated, since he couldn't bring himself to stand and go back to the clearing with the others. It was a shame really, he'd have liked to have known more about the pack Baal was planning on forming, but it didn't seem as though it was to be. He'd been part of a pack before, but that was a completely different thing since the pack then had been filled with evil, conniving wolves which organized plots to kill the alpha every other day. They had succeeded once or twice, and he remembered how chaotic things had been as everyone had adjusted to the rule of a new tyrant. In the end, nothing much ever changed for the better, if anything it only became worse. He didn't think Baal or Arani would be a part of something like that, which was why he would have been more than willing to help Baal start the pack.
He glanced back, knowing that nobody had followed him from the clearing, but still on high alert. He shook his head at himself and sat down. He wasn't quite ready to leave the place where he had met two friendly wolves, yet felt certain that he couldn't go back to the clearing. That left him uncertain what he should do, or where he should go to. He sighed as his thought pattern came to and end, realizing he had nothing left to do here and that he should go. He didn't though. He simply sat there, staring.
((No problem! I didn't post sooner because I'm not sure what else Arold can do.))

Arani;
As time passed on, she becomes worried about Arold. Even though she said he could take his time and she did have an underlying feeling that he might not return, worry set in and she remembered the distressed look on his face. She looks back toward Baal who only nods, understanding her worry, already knowing what she had in mind and he nods her off to go after Arold.
With quick steps, she runs off in the direction that Arold was heading in before he disappeared into the dark shadows of the trees, hoping that if he really did run off, she would be quick enough to catch up to him.
Suddenly, she comes to a clearing where she sees what looks like Arold, but the darkness of his fur blurs his characteristics, along with the physical distance between the two. carefully, she steps toward his figure, her steps slowing drastically from before.
"Hey, I just wanted to come check on you since you've been gone a while. I wanted to make sure you're okay. I completely understand if you want me to leave, but just make sure to be safe, okay? Arani's features are much softer from the usual stern expression that she wears and her posture is also light and easy going as she stands about a meter away from the black-pelted male.
Baal;
Baal simply sits there looking at Arani. With every minute that passes he could see her thoughts changing by the look on her face, each more and more tensed, obvious worry shown on her face.
After enough time, for Arani at least, has passed, she suddenly stands up looking at her brother, her eyebrows knit together creating creases just above the beginning her snout. Instantly realizing what she wanted, the male smiles and nods, shooing her off to go find Arold, knowing that if he protests she wouldn't stay anyways, plus, he didn't completely disagree with her going after the dark coated male. He still couldn't help but worry for his sister, because of the thought of an event such as Arold's stress causing him to act out, or the same for Arani, even though she usually holds her own fairly well.
Either way, Baal patiently sits, waiting for his sister to hopefully return with a happy ending. A curious thought forces its way into his mind causing his face to contort as he thinks of an answer that he knows will, most likely, be wrong; What made Arold become distressed in the first place? Was it something from his past? Baal sighs as he realizes that his mind won't let him rest until he finds the conclusion to his question.

Arold looked quietly at the female, remembered algopsychalia swirling in his eyes. It was impossible for anyone to see that clearly, but he felt it and knew that it would cause him to lash out if he didn't get control of himself. A growl escaped him before he could do anything, the memory of the first time he had watched a pup be killed overcoming him. It had been one of his brothers actually, and he had been deemed weak because he refused to kill another wolf. He'd watched with horror as his own mother had grabbed her pup by the scruff of his neck and thrown him against a boulder so hard that his spine snapped, which killed him instantly. It had been one of the more merciful deaths he had witnessed dealt to another. His parents turned their attention to him, and out of fear, he did everything he was told to do.
That was until he had left that wretched darkness. Now, he didn't know what to make of Arani's concern, but he knew he didn't want to hurt her.
He looked at her for a second and flicked his ear. He wondered why she had come check on him alone instead of taking Baal with her. At least then she wouldn't have been in any potential danger from him.
He realized that wasn't important as soon as he thought about it though. She wasn't afraid of him, and he knew that was a good thing. "I uh, was coming back. I swear." He looked away at that, knowing that he hadn't exactly been planning on doing that. He hated lying, but he appeased his conscious by saying this wasn't exactly a lie since he hadn't actually been planning on leaving when she came either.
"I just needed to get away for a second. Sometimes I have unpleasant flashbacks which can cause me to act strangely. Maybe I'm just strange." The last was said in a humorous way, although he was only half joking. He wanted to stop her form asking questions about what had set him off and hoped that the explanation he had provided would be enough, although he knew it would probably just make her all the more curious. "I don't mind if you sit here with me, but I hope you understand if I don't feel comfortable discussing my past with you."

Arani;
"Maybe I'm just strange."
Arani shakes her head with a smile at the male's observation. He wasn't strange to Arani at all.
"Please don't worry about it. Although you didn't have exactly the same thing going on, Baal acted similarly when we found him. It took a bit of time to overcome his issues, but his determination allowed him to be set free from whatever hold had him."
Of course, she understood that talking about something like this would be difficult for someone, as she just said, Baal went through something similar for a good amount of time after her family took him in, so she had already figured that he wouldn't like to talk about it.
"It's okay if you planned on leaving. But, I at least needed to make sure you were in a stable state before you got yourself hurt." Arani pauses, a small smile appearing on her face, "There's no need to speak of your past. I'm pretty sure I've heard my brother say this before but, 'The future allows for new possibilities and a new chance to become a better you.'"
Baal;
Baal slowly pulls himself off of the ground, stretching his muscles. It had been about enough amount of time, either Arani has calmed Arold down, or something more violent has happened, although there weren't any cries for help or other indicators that there was a fight close by. Either way, the stormy male decides to go see what's happening.
Coming upon the two in front of him, Baal has a friendly, welcoming smile plastered on his maw. With a small nod sent to Arold, more directed to the black male's worries, saying that it's okay.
"I don't plan on interrogating you on this subject and in no way do I know what you're going through, but I'm sure Arani agrees," Baal looks over to his sister as he speaks, finding her nodding back at him, "that we have no issues with trying our best to be there for you when you need." Even though the foggy-colored male knows that the siblings have just met this wolf and they know basically nothing about him, it's just in Baal's nature to help those in need, which so far hasn't backfired on him, but he, because of his past experiences during his previous evil life, he's used to keeping a watchful eye on pretty much anything that moves

"I have become a better me." The words were said matter of factly without a drop of self-deprecation or pity. He noticed when Baal found them and nodded at him and what he said. "I appreciate the offer, certainly, but I don't wish to impede on you or your plans. I'd like it if we could just enjoy each others company for now. Of course, my offer to help you with your pack still stands." He wanted to figure out what life in the valley was like and perhaps make a few friends while doing so before anything else.
"If you don't mind me asking though, what's your purpose for forming a pack in the first place?" He actually wanted to know so the question was asked with genuine interest.

Baal;
Baal nods, he understands where Arold stands, but he still needs a few others to help claim the territory. He's grateful for any help that he can get,
"I would be very grateful if you help with the pack. I need a few others to assist in claiming the territory."
Arold having a sudden outburst didn't put Baal off from welcoming him into the pack. He wants to provide a safe place for Arold, somewhere that he can get through whatever he's going through at the moment, however, he does understand that there is such thing as too much. Baal wouldn't turn the male down because he can see some of his own problems and he was able to overcome his old issues by having a sister figure around him to bring him out of his shell and support him in a friendly environment.
"If you don't mind me asking though, what's your purpose for forming a pack in the first place?" Baal flashes a small, welcoming smile, turning his usually intimidating features into a softer, friendlier face that better matches his true personality.
"I want to make a safe place for wolves who are good at heart. A place to have a new start, no matter what their past is."
Arani;
Arani silently listens to the two males speak to eachother, listening to each of their words silently. She has played no part in getting Baal to come up with the idea of starting a pack, and she smiles warmly at the idea of her brother becoming an alpha, especially of a good pack. The thought that he was once an evil wolf, a nasty one at that, and now he's come this far to want to support not only himself as a good hearted wolf, but multiple others as well, she can't help but feel proud that he's come this far.
She looks toward Arold, wondering what his response will be. The black-pelted female sends a smile, similar to her brothers, to Arold, and sends a slight nod agreeing with her brother.

Arold nodded back at Baal. "Very well. You tell me when and where and I'll be there." He still wasn't positive whether he would actually be a part of the pack, but he would at least help start it. He could appreciate what Baal described, almost craved that lifestyle, but he wasn't sure if that could be accomplished. He'd like to believe that it could be though, and that was exactly what he was going to do.
"Tell me something about the others which will help you with your pack?" It was a request and he made sure to ask it in such a way as to make sure the others knew that. Arani seemed quieter than she had earlier and it made him wonder. He looked at her as he asked his next question, making sure they knew it was addressed to her. "You don't have much to do with the making of this pack do you?"

Baal;
A nod sent to Baal bye Arold, brought a warm smile to the larger male's face and his eyes light up a bit more with a tiny, unnoticeable glint of excitement. Although it couldn't be seen on the outside, he grew more excited with every wolf that had decided to help bring a group together and finally start a pack.
The foggy-grey-pelted male listens to Arold's first statement and replies with a small nod,
"Of course. I thank you for that," And then proceeds to answer his question about who else was planning on helping claim the territory.
"Well, so far, the few that I've asked are friendly. They're very determined as well- have strong wills." Baal speaks proudly as he thinks of the dream that he thought of becoming a reality. Where he'll know for sure that the wolves he's housing are safe and comfortable.
Although not said aloud, Baal would always remember those who have helped him accomplish what he hopes for, and would repay them so long he's not asked something that he's not comfortable with doing. For every wolf that offers something, the male would repay. Even if the offer is small, it would be burned into his brain of how much it had helped.
Arani
Arani continues to sit in silence and looks between the two as they speak to one another. Not even listening to the content of the conversation and taking in the information being said to one another, just listening to both of their voices filling the air with noise. That is until Arold turns to her and asks her a question. Suddenly she turns her head to focus on him, taking in the words he's saying this time around,
"You don't have much to do with the making of this pack do you?" Arani shakes her head, not having to think about it. Baal is a good allied wolf, while she's neutral and as of now, she doesn't wish to change her alliance.
"I'm a neutral wolf and at the moment, I don't plan on changing my alliance. But, I'll probably end up being caught trespassing in my bother's territory every now and then. So if you end up staying in the pack for a while, you'll probably see me around a bit." Arani gives a soft laugh, knowing that she'll end up getting in trouble with her brother's pack. She has her immature moments just like Baal as well, although Baal's are far more rare to see. She also has more of a destructive personality, causing her immature moments to be much more of a mess than her brother's.

Baal was proud. Arold was confused. Was he proud of the wolves that he had met so far? If so, why? Those questions flitted around in Arold's brain for a long time before he finally opened his mouth again. "Do you seek to claim these wolves as your own? Perhaps to change their lives as someone changed yours?" As he asked that question he realized that he was just assuming that was what had happened and his eyes widened. "That is, if someone actually did the same for you. I was merely guessing."
He turned once more to Arani and spoke quickly to her. "Maybe I will see you around. If I do, there is no guarantee that you will see me." A confused expression crossed his face for a second, but then he turned his attention back to Baal.

Baal;
The confused look on the dark male's face wasn't hard to miss. As if reading Arold's mind, Baal gives reason for the pride he feels.
"I'm proud of how far I've come. I'm proud that I've been able to meet such good hearted wolves, and that I'll possibly get to know them more." Baal's face is calm, almost so much so that it's quieter. Much more quiet than when a smile crosses his face. He's willing to open up to Arold. Telling a little about his past was no problem for Baal as he's already learned to accept what had happened. He's not ashamed of his past whatsoever because that's the reason he's here right now, trying to start his own pack.
"I was taken in by Arani's family. I suppose it's true that some wolves' lives would be changed by the pack and I'd be proud of the wolves in the pack. I would claim them as my own as in I'd take responsibility for their actions within the pack, much like family. Baal's words are true, although he's not quite sure what Arold's asking, whether he's asking if he's claim the wolves in the pack as his own as in being proud of them, or, claiming their lives much like Midnight Silence does when the wolves get a scarred. But, he answers anyway.
Arani;
"Maybe I will see you around. If I do, there is no guarantee that you will see me." Arold's words come out with a slightly confused tone, causing Arani's eyes to shoot to his face, in turn, finding a oddly confused expression as he looks to her, before his attention lands on Baal once more.
"You do blend into the shadows fairly well. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't see you." The female's words don't mean that she wont at least try to look for the pitch-black-pelted male. She'd probably go out of her way to try to find him since after meeting him, she would like to get to know him better. Try to possibly make a friend out of him. It was obvious that It would take some time, but Arani has no problems waiting. She did the same with her adopted brother. And it was apparent on her face that she would probably stop at nothing to try to get the smaller male to open up, at least a little bit.
