The albino white wolf yawned. He was a strong independent male who roamed alone throughout White Mountain's territories and today he decided to explore the "Forest of Love." Supposedly, if you went into this forest you would find your mate. This wolf wasn't searching for a mate, but it sounded interesting. He continued to pad through the trees. It wasn't as interesting as he had thought it would be. He had expected large trees and romantic places for wolves to start popping out kids. Glancing around with his bi-colored eyes, he was sorely disappointed. He saw short stubby trees and bland sights. These boring trees and boring places made for a boring afternoon. This wolf decided to make these woods his home. Not because of extravagant sights and sounds, but because it didn't have extravagant sights or sounds. No wolves would want to come to this awful place, even with all the romantic rumors. Perhaps he would live here for most of his life peacefully in solitude. That was highly unlikely as he was one to attract wolves and trouble to himself. When he was younger, he got in a lot of fights. Due to his unruly nature and kingly attitude (plus his crown-like ear), he was named after a foolish alpha named Uther Pendragon. His mother had a good sense of humor. Uther was growing tired of roaming the repetitive woods. He conceded to finding a shady spot and taking a nap. Turning his head, he saw a larger tree with a good area. Plodding over to the tree, Uther found the perfect position of the shade so that he would wake in about an hour when the sun hit his eyes. The cold grass felt cool between Uther's paws and he sighed. Relaxing, he made his ritual three circles and lay down. Weight flew off his shoulders as his head fell to his paws. He shifted to the side a little to get into a more comfortable position. Then, he let his eyelids drift closed and his mind drift.

Cue entrance music, no scratch that, love music, no scratch that, forget the music, Xenia wasn't there to make an entrance or find a mate, staying away from one if she possibly could. The albino she-wolf padded into view of the 'forest of love' and began to scan the area with her different colored eyes. The left eye a crystal blue, while the right was a crimson, piercing red. As if matching her crystal blue eye, around her left ear (and partially onto her head) was a golden ring, which went slightly up into her ear in a tiara-like shape.
The she-wolf held herself up in a distinguished manner as she walked. Her head was pointed up at a slight angle as she padded into the forest, her eyes having to look over her muzzle a bit as she stepped. Xenia's chest was out slightly as she walked, each step steady and in a regal manner. The wolf's tail had little movement to it as it stayed for the most part motionless behind her, going out and down before curving up towards the tip of her bushy white tail.
Xenia sighed slightly as she had walked around the area. She scented other wolves, but had no interest in really meeting any of them. The female slowly made her way to a tree, nearby to the same one Uther had been laying at in rest. She made a bit of noise stepping through some of the bushes, before finally laying down at the tree. Xenia laid on her side, forepaws outstretched and her head and chest up an attentive, no intent of getting up for the meanwhile.

Uther growled and tried to shift over. That didn't work so he shifted the other way. No help. Uther growled again and leapt to his feet. What was the meaning of this?! He was not to be disturbed. Now, not only was the sun in his face, he smelled another wolf already! Those pesky lower beings dared to wake him?! Uther was furious. He followed the scent to a very nearby wolf. She was a white albino with bi-colored eyes... Just like him! Wow. Crazy. Wait! He was angry with her. Glaring he looked at her. She was....beautiful! No! She had disturbed him! He could see that her personality was not as beautiful as her coat. Her chest puffed out and her head was high. He scoffed. The puny being thought she was better than him! It was time to put this wolf in her place. He growled loudly to get the wolf's attention. "What do you think you're doing, fly?" Next he spoke in a mocking tone. "Did you get lost?"

After awhile, Xenia had started to lower her head a little bit, as if tiredness was trying to overtake her. It wasn't long however when the male started to make his way towards her. Judging by the way he stepped, he was not very pleased with her appearance. But there was more than that, he looked almost a spitting image of the female, except obviously a male and only a few differences. The slightly smaller albino stood herself up as he spoke before stepping over to him.
"Now now, that's no way to introduce yourself. Is it?" she said to him as she looked him in his eyes, the colors matching each other if they both looked directly at one another. Xenia seemed unphased by the male, despite his angered approach. "Hmph. I suppose I'll start us off." she added before slowly bowing her head, "I'm Xenia, and I'm far from lost." she introduced herself to Uther before raising her head back up to meet his gaze.
If it wasn't for how he spoke to her, she might have felt pleased to actually meet him at the moment, but currently he was on a one-way street of her walking out and leaving him to be all by his lonesome, with a possible fork in the road later on.

The female was brave; he would give her that, but the way she brushed him off angered him more. Uther became blinded with fury. This girl was acting all high and mighty! No one talked to Uther that way. No one! She would not get away with this. He didn't want to ruin her pretty white coat, so he decided to go easy on her. Looking at her down his nose, he wanted to intimidate her. In a proud voice, he spoke. "My name is Uther, after the strong alpha. I live up to my name as I have never lost a fight and that is not about to change." He was giving her a chance to leave and he wanted her to take it. "The edge of the woods is not far from here. I suggest to run out and never return." His chest out and head high, he awaited her reply.

Xenia eyed him carefully, looking directly into his eyes as he spoke, she would not falter. The she-wolf had no intention of fighting, not particularly wanting to run the male around until he exhausted himself. She listened to what he had to say. When he finished, she stifled a bit of a chuckle before replying. "There is a.. Slight problem with that." she replied as she turned away from him and walked back to the spot she had been laying. Turning herself, she laid once again on her side, looking up at him. "This forest, does not belong to you, unless you happen to be a leader of one of the packs in the forest, and even then The Forest Of Love cannot be claimed, or at least hasn't been." she said, her wits showing a bit as she matched his brawn with her brain.
"I'll do just about anything, but leave. Now, I suggest we just sit and chat, afterall you don't want to fight me, I can see it in m— Err.. Your eyes." she said, stumbling in her words as she got herself a bit confused, thinking she was looking in a mirror for a slight second with the similarity of the wolves.

This she-wolf wanted to butt heads with him. He liked that in a wolf, although most were worthless scum. Uther decided to accept this wolf's invitation to have a 'chat.' Xenia was already back in her previous seat, laying in an elegant pose. To show that he was done threatening her and just wanted to talk, Uther sat in a relaxed position nearby. The shade felt good again. Sun blotted the grass and hit Xenia in a beautiful manner. He noticed the tiara-like gold ring around her right ear. For a minute he was captivated by her blue and red eyes. No. He was a loner. This she-wolf was not his type (whatever his type was). Uther let out a deep sigh and looked the female in the eyes. She had been right about everything, it was like she could read his mind. Wolves around here had strange powers, it was possible. Oh well. Time to get this conversation started. He nodded to Xenia. "What brings you to these woods today?"

Xenia might have laid herself down, but despite her relaxed posture, she was ready in the event the male attacked her. She smiled a bit warmly as he relaxed himself. 'That was a bit easier than I thought..' she thought to herself as he looked at her for a few moments of awkward silence before he spoke. The she-wolf smiled again, "Nothing really in particular, I just thought I'd swing by and see what all goes on in these woods." she replied to him. "What about yourself, Uther?" she asked him as her eyesight seemed to relax a bit.
The female noted the ways they were similar, and the ways they weren't. They had the same pelt color, spot on. Their eyes were the same color, only reversed. He was larger, she was smaller. He had a crown shaped ring, hers was more in the shape of a tiara or a queenly crown. This peaked her interest, it was as if fate had caught up with her, and possibly him, she quickly pushed the thought away, afraid of jumping into something she shouldn't.

The she-wolf kept eyeing him in a way that made him uncomfortable. Uther wiggled. Usually he was the one making the other wolf itch in his fur, now he knew how they felt. It was a very unpleasant experience. Xenia's eyes made him forget that he wasn't looking in the lake, but rather, sitting across from a beautiful wolf....who just asked him a question! Oh right. They were having a conversation. What did she ask again? Yes. She asked what he was doing here. He stumbled to come up with an answer, "I-I heard of this stupid rumor about finding your mate here. Just curious as to what such a place would look like, I came." Why was he spilling everything so easily? Uther tried to stop, but he couldn't. "Seeing how boring it was here, I figured no one would disturb me if I lived here." No don't say that! "I was just about to settle down when you came along." He took a deep breath. What just happened? He had spilled his guts to a stranger, a suspicious one at that! Uther was about to start slamming his head against a tree when he remembered Xenia. He didn't make eye contact, cringing. What would she say?

Xenia listened to what Uther had to say, a bit of her regal demeanor breaking as her tail seemed to wag a little bit. She tried to stop it, getting a bit frustrated with herself before allowing it to swing, hoping he wouldn't take it as a sign of emotion or such. The she-wolf broke her standards again for a moment, letting out a bit of a feminine giggle as Uther spoke. She had noticed how flustered he was on his face, knowing he probably said more than he wanted to. Quickly, she shook her head to try and gain control of herself. "Sounds like an interesting story.. I also heard this forest is for finding mates.. But then again, who would want a wolf such as I?" she said, sighing lightly, before lowering her ears and head a bit, her tail seizing its wagging for just a short while. Xenia said what she said, and did what she did, just to see how Uther would react, she was testing him subtlety, having her assumptions in the back of her mind.

Uther was shocked by Xenia's sudden change in personality. He cocked his head in confusion. What should he say? Her posture suggested that she was very insecure at the moment and he could see that her eyes were cast downward in depression. Although everything suggested that her words were sincere, he felt that something was off. Perhaps it was the way her tail was wagging before, or that her mouth curved oddly. Wait, her tone didn't express the emotion she was conveying. Instead of a soft whimper of sadness that no one would want her, she just sighed deeply. As if she was testing him. Uther decided to act uncaring and see what her reaction was. He looked up at the treetops in a nonchalant way and spoke in a bored tone. "Well, no one would like you with that uncouth attitude of yours. But, you are a beautiful wolf, considering that you look so much like me. I don't see why anyone wouldn't take the chance." Not exactly what he wanted to say, but it would do. He stole a glance at Xenia, but kept his head up to retain his offhandish act.

Xenia smirked lightly when Uther had looked away and spoke, listening to what he had to say. 'A bit rude, but he still had a compliment I suppose..' she thought to herself as she looked at him and he looked away, glancing back at her once. Thinking up another test, she smiled softly and said in a sort of mocking tone, "Well, if I'm sort of a spitting image of the great and mighty Uther, then what makes him such a... Catch?" she said, her ears raising themselves up once more and her bi-colored eyes watching Uther's for any sign of emotion change. Her tail stopped its movement, herself focusing on Uther rather than her own movements.

Uther seemed to have been right based on Xenia's reaction. This was a fun game to play. Compared to boring games played with lower beings, this unique wolf had peaked his interest. He smiled in satisfaction at Xenia's challenge. Acting cocky to make his point, Uther replied by saying, "You'll have to figure that out yourself. Perhaps in a friendly hunting competition?" He stood and raised his eyebrows at Xenia. "Do you accept the challenge? Or will you be a coward and run from a fight?" That should do the trick. Uther turned and began walking towards the hunting plains, thinking that Xenia would not give up her pride.
OOC: If you accept the challenge, do you want to start the new thread, or me?

The she-wolf smiled a bit as Uther turned away and began to walk towards the hunting plains. 'Quite interesting indeed.. I don't know what it is about him.. But..' she thought to herself sighing in her mind before she stood herself up to accept his challenge. Xenia smirked again and started to race off past Uther. "I'll do you two challenges, I bet I can beat you to the hunting plains as well!" she called back, seeing if Uther would race her there as well as she took off towards the hunting plains at a running pace.
-Exit Xenia-
