So was it over then? The brutal punishment of a bone freezing winter with little surviving prey? A spring completely drenching the land in more showers and storms? Things had gotten a little out of control for a second, just a tiny lot maybe. The wolfs of the mountains were running wild; popping out from their little hiding places,doing more desperate, and ultimately stupid things. Suddenly, it seemed the whole land was blanketed with evil wolves. Its funny how fair-weather neutral and good could be sometime. Kodiak chuckled to himself at the thought, rolling the half-stripped corpse of a rabbit between his paws.

In all the chaos and scattering, wolves and prey alike were practically throwing themselves at him. He was eating well, and everything else didn't matter. But now the weather had calmed down and so did the wolves. Prey was plentiful, so there was less conflict. It was so boring. Very boring. Frustrating even.

Kodiak tossed the bloody "toy" into the air by its fluffy paw. All of its upper body had been stripped to the bone. The fur and meat sprinkled the ground, completely uneaten. He only wanted to throw it around until its skull popped off after all. Kodiak caught the thing in his red-stained mouth by the head and began to shake until the body flew off into the distance.

Stych wandered along a well worn path with her pink tongue lolling out. Her ribs were no longer sore from the battle in the redwoods, where she had lost her heir. She sighed and continued plodding onward. That was when she saw a wolf playing with his bloody prey. It was disgusting, but made her very curious. So she padded cautiously towards him. She sat down a few yards away, and stared at him with intelligent eyes.

Kodiak could smell the other wolf approaching, but he had written her off as "not a threat" and "not hungry", meaning there was no reason to react to her approach. Finally succeeding in his goal of beheading the poor thing, he began to strip away at what was left of the rabbit's head until it was just a skull.

"What a tiny, little skull this is." He spoke aloud mostly to himself, but also to the wolf who was observing him. "I don't think I've ever worked with one so small and fragile. It will definitely have to be my best of works." He let the skull rest on his long, massive tongue before dropping it to his paws and sitting up to scratch at his side. "What are you looking at with such curious energy? Haven't you ever seen a wolf with its prey before?" Kodiak then began to pace forward with a dark,low tone. "I hear thats when they are the most dangerous to approach..."

Stych sniffed haughtily. "Well then." She let her neck fur bristle as she stood up on her very long slender legs. She circled him once then sat down and scratched her ear. "I usually don't see wolves demolish their prey like that. It's.......fascinating." She ended. Just then a foolish shrew darted under her paw. She smashed down and popped to whole thing in her jaws.

The night had been horrible. Ásgeir didn't sleep nearly at all, his health had been a total pain in the...
His breathing had been hard, heartbeat way too quick and his whole body had to do lots of work to keep his organs working. And most importantly, he had lots of work to keep himself sane.
But now it was a new day. A new, grey day of loneliness and ache on lungs, just perfect. He was just so tired, irritated and ready to snap.

He was just walking aimlessly, sometimes glancing up towards the Mountain. Where those... wretched white wolves lived. Sometimes Ásgeir just thought about running to the mountain and attacking those witches! But he did understand that he wasn't strong enough alone... he had to find allies. Strong allies who would listen to him and do as he say.

He heard something. Rattling and thug, like bones hitting the ground. He crept forward curiously, and saw the carcass what used to be a rabbit.
"Oh, how brutal. Barbaric." He sighed tiredly and shook his head, not much listening what the other were talking. That killer seemed to have his full attention on the other wolf.

"-Are you threatened?" Kodiak barked quickly, in a mocking, playful tone. He had noticed the bristling and the excitement of a challenge started to run through his veins. The moment she adverted her attention to the state of the prey rather than his words, he deflated almost instantly, rolling his eyes. "I must be the only wolf in this whole land who has ever been bored then." Kodiak brushed by the she-wolf, inhaling her scent but then waving it away for another. He wanted to know where his rag doll went.
Curiously enough, he smelled something other than hare's blood and meat. Scanning the area, he quickly spotted a bigger wolf looking over his toy. Craning his neck at the most unusual angle to look back to the she-wolf, the fur lifted from his eyes to show two brilliant orange eyes filled with a curious mix of youth and savagery.

"Did you bring a friend?"

Stych's intelligent eyes bored into Kodiak. Then they swiveled to this new wolf. Her short tail pointed parallel to the ground. "I did not summon this wolf, and yes I frequently grow tired of the foolishness of the younger wolves." She huffed. Then she bared her fangs at the two wolves and drove her gaze int their minds. Evil, insanity, boredom. Everything she could hope for. "It seems you are of the evil alliance. I respect that." Stych's eyes glinted hungrily.

A friend? Of these wolves? Oh no, definitely no. He didn't answer to that with words, only shaking his head. Ásgeir stepped forward lazily, he didn't have anything better to do. "I have to say, you are not." He mumbled mostly to himself, partly to answer the other male when he stated about him being the most bored wolf on this land. Even though Ásgeir had many plans to do, but they weren't quite possible to do at the moment...
They didn't seem to care about him, so why not sit down for a while and even his breathing. Meanwhile he observed the other wolves with side eyes. One male and one female. The male one seemed like he didn't have everything quite okay in his mind, while the female seemed rather okay. Maybe. You'd never know about wolves who were proud about being on the "evil" side.
But who was Ásgeir to judge, he had ended many lives of wolves who had had businesses with the Powers.

Its an amazing how much you could learn from just the words one will speak! The she-wolf and her impatience with the ignorant ones and the brute wishing for momentum in his own life. What a crowd he seemed to have attracted; it must be time to entertain.

Kodiak rolled his shoulders, creating a thick, loud crack. A wolf of his size carrying his own weight and the weight of his fur in winter will have these sort of problems. "Ah yes, boredom of the order in life is definitely a trait of youth, but they aren't the only ones...Tell me, are you familiar with dying?" Kodiak turned his body to face her now, pacing as he looked up to the sky and recalled fondly. "Its the most exciting thing of life really. All the pain, soreness, and feeling just escapes you. Your blood turns to icewater and rushes through your veins until your insides feel like a winter storm. The only other sensation is that of your heart's futile attempts to pump some warmth back in you..."

Kodiak gave himself a quick shake, knocking off the flakes of fur he had scratched off previously and sat down, placing a paw on his rabbit skull. "It colors the normal life and events in a more gray shade."

Alliance? Evil? Could those two words really be used together in a sentence? The thought of it made him laugh, pressing forward on the skull until it slipped from his paw and off in the distance. "I'm evil, yes. I've come to learn that my ways of living seem to not be okay in the eyes of the 'neutral' and 'good'. But I don't see this 'alliance' everyone else sees. I don't think I have a place in any alliance. I'm looking to bigger things than the fight between good and evil..."

Stych rolled her eyes. What a tiresome topic. "I believe I have grown bored of your talk Kodiak." She sighed with an emphasis on the word bored. "And an Rbil, alliance is when evils join together to raise up a stronger alliance than that of the inferior neutrals, and goods." She stated dully. She let out a yawn and stretched her paws out over the barren dirt. "By the way, my name is Stych." She stood up with a huff and a swish of her tail. "If you have any business with me I will stay if not, well I will leave you."

That mad wolf talked quite well about feeling of dying, and that was very familiar feeling for Ásgeir. Oh how many times the pain and fear of death had been his only companions. Thinking about that send shivers down his spine, and he didn't like that feeling. He rose to take couple of meaningless steps to drive that feeling away, keeping his side-eye attention on the two wolves.
The female wolf who named herself Stych, seemed to grow tired of meaningless talking. An evil alliance? That made Ásgeir thought about his own plans, could that female maybe fit on them? Hmh, it was time to step away from the observing backside where Ásgeir had been now.
"Alliance...? I've been searching for strong wolves." He started, talking with slow pace. His throat was hurting, but he didn't care for it, or didn't let it show outside.
"Strong enough to face the curse of this land, the Power itself." He continued, looking now directly towards Stytch. His stare was challenging, and like doubting could Stytch be strong enough for it.

"I was under the impression that boredom was for the annoying youth in your eyes." Kodiak teased with a husky laugh, stretching his paws as far as he could before rolling his shoulders back in place. "Thats just the fight I was talking about. An arms race with living weapons? Boring! I'd like to remind you that you joined me rather than I joined you. You can leave anytime if you don't mind turning your back to someone like me." He honestly had no intention to harm her. Her frame was too small to get any good meat off of it. Two rabbits worth at most. Her skull wasn't bigger than any other of the wolf skulls he had. No point in downsizing.

Kodiak's ears perked up when the male wolf spoke. He stood to his feet and tilted his head slightly. "The power? You mean the White Wolves and the very land that we stand on? Now that is a battle that would shake things up a little...You should hear him out."

Stych's ears pricked up. But she went on as if nothing had sparked her interest. "We'll I suppose that a battle would be quite exhilarating. But I am sorry to disappoint you. I battle with the mind." She sated resting her gaze on each of the males in turn. She tore at the grass with her dull claws.

Accalia opened her eyes and stretched, yawning. She raised her nose to the winds to find some breakfast, but all she could smell was rabbit. Euch. She shook her silvery fur and checked the air one more time, just in case something appetising had wandered close, and this time she did find a scent. But it wasn't food. Fear coursed through her veins as her nose detected evil wolves. She realized in horror that the scent was in the very direction she needed to go, and going the long way would take her completely off course, and she didn't really have the best sense of direction. She ran a short while and slowly approached the strong-looking wolves.
