@tearinmyheart Strange@twilight @akheron ——————————————————- Fjord stood on his territory. Well, it wasn't his yet. Instead if choosing a larger territory he had chosen a smaller one. Many, such as that disdainful Koronies would look upon him as being weak. But Fjord had chosen systematically, strategically. No pack in thier right minds would challenge his for territory. No one wanted the barrens, especially the small one. So he would be shoved out if sight. But that was all for the better. While hidden away his pack would grow. And in time he would take the bigger territory. He didnt have any plans for Fridgid Plague in his mind set yet. They weren't yet included in the scheme of things. Maybe once he had a stable predecessor to take his throne. But in order to that he had to have an Alphess. Fjord chastened himself. He first had to actually establish his pack. The large white wolf stepped on the scrubby new grass, it was soft compared to what it would become in the next season. He raised his muzzle to the air. He was not claiming yet, just calling those to come claim with him. His beta Edge shouldn't be too far off. His low, guttural voice rang into the valley searching for those of true evil. Once Fjord had finished his call he lowered his head and angled his red swirled paws towards a small rise in the dilapidated land. He climbed the hill with ease, leaving a quickly-disappearing frost trail behind him on the black earth.

Genesis was a clever wolf. She'd gotten her power from Geist and had come from the mountains to these barrens. Such a distasteful place to set up a pack, especially in it's formative years, but she understood the need for stability. Every so often, the voices inside her chastised her for following such a leader as Fjord, and in such a dead land. If she had the power of Botany, perhaps she could have brought life into the land, but she had Smog instead. It was a useful power too. By joining Midnight Silence, she was only giving herself ample opportunities to exact revenge.
Genesis smiled a wolfy grin, padding up to stand beside Fjord the Terrible. She kept her tail down respectfully, dropping a rabbit on the dusty ground for her Alpha. "Eat," she rumbled "it has been a long journey."
'Twas only an afterthought to add a "My King" at the end.

Fjord dipped his head slightly as he acknowledged the presence of his healer Genesis. "I thank you for coming, your skills in both hunting and healing will and are greatly appreciated. You are a true asset to this pack." Fjord thought that toning down his...harshness would perhaps make the members feel more at ease and welcome. And with the excitement of the founding of his pack he had become more polite, even...nice. He shivered. But that was just a facade. Underneath his cruelty was still there, harsh and unforgiving, just like these barrens.
He dipped his great head to tear at the rabbit. The thing was neither plump nor scrawny. But it's flavor made up for its lack of substance. Unlike the prey in the hunting plains, this rabbit had bite. It was tangy, spicy. Fjord concluded this must be because the rabbits in the barrens fed on the strong herb-like scrub that grew strongly here. The great white alpha finished the rabbit, not bothering to clean the bones. Fjord licked his bloodstained lips, relishing the sagey tang. He turned his red gaze in the bright colored Genesis. "Do you know if any other members coming?"

Galloping through the bare waste land, following the hissing howls of the siren, Edge couldn't believe that all that shall and will happen will hold clearly through this bare lands- The soil under his tiresome paws felt cold and dry, maybe from the past season that wash away from these once white grounds. The black and grey male, as he frezze in his tracks for a break, cough at his dashing dust as his eyes finally catch sight of Fjord and...Who is she? Did she came to their meeting as well? No, her face doesn't have a recall, maybe a bystander, but how to two speak, it's like old friends. Still, it will be rude if not he introduce himself, but he must speak to the new Alpha.
"I'm here, sir, but the remaining ones have yet come." Edge's voice thunder as his body form a great and steady bow to his Alpha, then stare coldly at the newcomer as his body rise. "Hello."

A blue she-wolf perked her ears at a howl. Fjord? She shook her head and began to bound towards the sound. Analise blinked away pollen as she did so. Her blue paws carried her swiftly to her alpha's call. She got excited at the thought of finally having a place to call home and belonging to a certain pack. Wolves who could trust her with their lives. The wolf with no tail finally spotted three wolves. Thank goodness she hadn't been that far away.
She slowed to a walk and carefully approached closer. From the sparks twining themselves about the large one's fur looked like they could kill. The wicked look in the female's eyes were dangerous and the red and white male held himself with dignity. He must be Fjord. Analise cleared her throat and said, "Great day for forming a pack, isn't it?"

Fjord greeted his beta by dipping his head. Doing so made him think of his pack. Would they be killers like him? Not all of them would approve....but the great Fjord didnt care of approval! He snorted mentally and stepped up to Edge's side. Next to him he was small. But when a wolf looked on their stances and fire in their eyes set them apart. He touched his black nose to his. "Calm yourself Edge. This is Genesis, she is to be our healer, and this is deserving of respect." He left the two to introduce themselves more fully as he went to see the newcomer. He wanted his pack to be like him in the ways if viciousness towards do gooders and unworthy wolves. But he also wanted his pack to be safe and secure. A pack where evils could come and be with those like themselves. A pack where they could become stronger, greater.
Fjord padded to meet the shewolf. She was a rich royal blue with striking eyes. She had a wicked smile sowing her lethality. "Indeed it is. Welcome. You have come to join the ranks of Midnight Silence?" He asked looking down on her, surveying every hair. Was she fit to join him? He would find out in due time.

"A healer?" thought Edge, swimming with fault of this newcomer. "A thousand apologizes, Miss Genesis. I didn't know your part was already with Alpha Fjord." The brute guild his muzzle to form a simply smile at the healer as a warmly greeting. "Like Alpha Fjord said, I'm Edge, Beta of his mighty Alpha." His paws step forward towards the healer as his body loam over her, hoping that his structures doesn't compare him to a demon, but of that of an ally.
Before the wolf speaks again, his ears captured the voice of another she wolf, so his eyes glare at her dashing blue pelt among her skin. "Welcome."
"It's like a family reunion here..." joke Edge in his mind.

The she wolf lifted her chin slightly, half in pride and half looking up at him. "It's true." She said, a smirk playing on her lips. Her head wandered for a moment back to Daria. She would frown upon Analise and never want to talk to her again. Nonetheless, Analise knew what the murderer in front of her could do and still wished to join him. The female never groveled before anyone, but the male was practically radiating dominance.
She learned her lesson on respect. Geist had done a good enough job of that. Her ears twitched back out of instinct. Analise dipped her head, speaking once more when she raised it. "I'm Analise." She figured it was best to introduce herself. From what she overheard, the yellow she wolf was Genesis and the aggressive one was Edge. The feeling of burning eyes examining her, brought her back to where she stood. Analise blinked and her gaze was almost saying,What is it?! Stop looking at me!

"It would seem as if you members are already here, my King." Genesis noted respectfully, sizing up the other wolves in the pack. The large one was Edge, smaller one Analise. This Edge had challenged her, and Genesis did not like that. Though he was the Beta, respect should be given to all wolves and not just those of higher status. She let out a low growl of warning before her Alpha told Edge of her place in the pack. Listening to his sheepish spology, Genesis's anger was appeased. For now, her mind told her, though it did catalogue the experience. Edge was a wolf who said before he thought. A dangerous, foolish combination of traits.
She nodded, accepting the apology with a short nod. However, she did poof up a small cloud of smog that may have been in Edge's general direction. Picking up the rabbit from the ground, she carried it over to small hole she'd found before placing it in. Then, she kicked dirt over the hole and buried the rabbit's remains. Maybe, more plants would actually grow there, and she would be able to actually heal her packmates.
She might have to make a trip to other places, though, if nothing truly did grow there. Perhaps there were some herbs available here.

Akheron's black head could be seen coming into view as she burst past the border, nearly colliding into Fjord. She skidded to a halt, sending up clouds of dust that she may have accidentally caused increase. Her power of Soil definitely had not been improving, the control she had on it very little. The sweet taste of the potion still lingered for a while, strengthening the effects somewhat. It was also possible that it had caused her to have less control over the power, since the potion made it stronger until the effects would wear off it perhaps a day or two, and she couldn't manage it that much. That caused some... unwanted side effects. Such as every time she sneezed, a cloud of dust poofed up from the ground in a ring around her. At least the good part was that she was immune to sneezing because of dust now.
Sliding into a short bow, she stood up again, slightly shaky before taking in the sight before her eyes. Suffice to say, it was not something a good wolf might have liked to see. The largest one had sparks of electricity shifting through his coat, the smaller male Fjord. She recognised the giant as Edge, Beta from her fight with Fjord. There was a very, very, very bright yellow one with a gleam in her eyes, an air of majesty around her and the last, one female with no tail. At least not a full tail, for what remained was a stump. She'd probably had some troubles with Geist since a ripped-off tail would be much messier than that. This was a clean cut, separated by magic alone.
Walking back to avoid the uncomfortably close distance, Akheron cleared her throat, dropping a plump deer leg and a squirrel on the ground. She'd brought it for Fjord, mainly, but had also spared a thought for Edge. The deer leg was for Fjord, the squirrel for Edge. It had been hard carrying those all that way, as it was incredibly uncomfortable for her to carry two things in her mouth at one time. Mixed scents wafted over the place, Koroneis's, Sheba's and her own. "Ello Fjord, nice to see you well. And Edge too. Brought the leg and haunch for Fjord, squirrel for Edge. Lemme tell you, carrying that haunch by the hoof was hard! Appreciate it, my friend. I came to tell you that Secluded Sunrise if forming, and they're going to send a patrol to the border to claim. You might want to meet them."
She shrugged, shaking her shoulders before she plopped down on the ground next to Fjord to catch her breath. That one long sentence was enough to wind her from her semi-rested state before she had started speaking. Akheron kicked at a clump of soil on the ground, her sitting position enabling her to glare down at it before she squinted hard, focusing on the mental image of her paw smashing down on the clump, breaking it into dust. Sweat beaded on her forehead, eyebrow twitching and power mark glowing a faint white. It glowed stronger and POOF the clod of dirt broke down into dust particles, some landing on her nose. Akheron grinned, satisfied before she attempted to lift it up. It may have accidentaly whacked Fjord and Edge on the lower face and neck, since she was shorter than them, after all.
((she's here due to the inactivity in the neutrality gathering thread I have replied to that one as well, but after this post. )

Analise noticed the other female approach and smiled, "Hi." She greeted kindly. Who would she be if she was nasty to her pack mates? She shifted on her paws noticing the small bit of hostility of the beta and the healer. She frowned at it, but another voice reached her ears. Another girl? She turned towards the voice and faced an approaching wolf. There was a thunk as she dropped food. Noting the dust in her wake, she promptly turned away and moved a few feet away. Good thing she did, the female's dirt flew about, hitting her blue back.
She looked over her shoulder and smiled at the alpha and beta being coated in the debri. She snickered to herself and her rump subtly moved back and forth. Analise moved again, heading towards a larger rock not that far away. It looked like it looked over the territory Midnight Silence would claim and protect. The she wolf jumped up onto it, looking over the place briefly before slowly laying down. She rested her head on her paws and looked down upon everyone who had joined Fjord. It felt good to be higher up for once. As her head wandered, she guessed someone like Edge would badger her off the rock.
(Yeah I think everyone is waiting on that thread.it's dogz or dew's turn)

Fjord quickly spotted the black (3 legged female), though her scent gave her away long before that. He snarled at her menacingly, though his eyes gleaned with amusement. He shook off the spattering if dirt, sending grime flying every which way. "The prospect of a truce will be discussed soon, but as for now I need to make my ranks solid." The impressive alpha turned to his pack and made his way to the large rock. He merely stared down at the shewolf splayed across it. Rolling his eyes he stood straighter, tail curled high in a graceful arch over his back, his blood red eyes gazing over the wolves beneath him.
"We now wait for one more, in order to claim this land. But before we do so, I need you to pledge your loyalty to me and this pack. Any wolf that fails to do so will immediately be driven out." Fjord barked down at his soon-to-be-packmates. His voice rang out, sincere, cold, and commanding. Every word dripping with venom. This way they would know that he never lied. Any wolf who refused to take the oath would be exiled from this territory. When the pack recieved more members he would promote somebody to gamma. They needed to be feared and respected as they were the ones who dealt out punishments.

Coughing at the sudden smog surrounding them, Edge hiss out at the shewolf of her attack then start to send out waves of his blue sparks to cover his pelt: however, at the ringing of his Alpha's harsh, venom voice that soon spread out to the large brute spin towards his commander. His eyes swift towards Fjord, ears perk upwards of the Alpha's offer to a simply pledge to join the newly build pack, even though the black and grey wolf was already by his king's side, Edge howl in a great accepting roar for Fjord to know that his blood and life will be an offer to the Midnight Silence pack until his soul is force out of him. Waiting for the others to agree also, Edge grip the prize prey that Akheron gave him into his massive jaw and pound it through his fangs, feeling every inch of skin crashing in his mouth as blood soon flood through his tongue and throat until a single swallow fall into his hollow belly. It has been awhile since the last meal he had, so Edge nod a graceful thanks to the packmate for the food.

Daria picked up on a familiar sent and followed it. She recognized it as Platinum. But when she arrived, she herd Fjord. So that had been his real name. Interesting. Then she remembered the warning from the red and black wolf with green eyes. Fjord was a killer. She slunk into a bush, careful to keep her tail in. She smelled vaguely of The Redwoods, but s he smelled even more of fish. Daria had learned to use her ears to find them in the water. She growled a little, but it had taken on a Mountain Wolf vibe. And from the smell, she was much taller then any present. She also was no longer the skinny, small yearling Fjord had met. She was a true Alphess's daughter. She slipped out, and into the open, her ivory, gold, and silver fur glinting. "Well, Platinum. Or should I say, Fjord?"
