A COLD RAIN IS FALLING
A wolf with a faint limp sat down near the edge of the clearing in which the beginning of the ritual was being held. Ebony quickly looked over and nodded in greeting, before turning to the others just as quickly. She realised that the way she asked her question had made her seem afraid, and maybe weak, which was something she would not allow herself to be. If she was to make it to adult-hood without being a laughing stock, she would have to show no signs of weakness at an early age. "Alpha Fjord, I would like Sirus to accompany me on my ritual." She said, considerably more confident then before, looking at Sirus, and then Alpha fjord, putting on a face that was confident, yet humble, and like someone who knew her place. Hopefully that would be the message that was sent across, and while she waited for a reply she went over the best-case scenario for her hunt in her mind.

Analise returned the small greetings she received from the other wolves and turned her attention back to her alpha. She heard Edge speak quietly beside her and stuck out her tongue at him. She bumped him with her shoulder and whispered, "Ruuude." Though, she did turn to clean her wound and lick away the blood. The taste was still foul to her, but she slowly grew to not minding the warm liquid. Once her blue fur lacked the dry blood, she turned towards Edge and rolled her eyes and focused what was going on for the ritual. She noticed how Fjord referred to them as his Brothers and Sisters. She took note of names that she heard when they were mentioned and looked over the gathered wolves. Wasn't there one missing? She figured she would arrive soon and look down at the new little she wolf that joined their ranks.

Sirus said nothing, his expression unfathomable. Instead, he kept his pale eyes fixed steadily on the young pup before him. The first time she had spoken his name, it was almost too faint to be heard— if he had been distracted by talking amongst the others as many of his pack mates had been, he would have completely missed it. But, the pack's lack of reaction was apparently not lost on Ebony. When she spoke again her voice was loud and unwavering, stance schooled into one of confidence rather than fear. There was potential in anyone who could recognize the subtle points of communication of a crowd, and even more in those who found themselves capable of smoothly correcting a mistake. To those born without natural charisma, speaking to a large group could either turn into a fine art or a nightmare, and more often Sirus had seen the latter.
She had made it a point to keep her tone somewhat neutral in spite of her sudden newfound determination as well. Wise in the presence of so many wolves who were driven primarily by their egos. Yes, he rather liked this pup. If she ever managed to overcome her lack of confidence for good, she had the capacity to go far within the ranks of the pack. The ability to manipulate was usually inborn, not gained, and he could see the potential for it in this youth. And, though it had small beginnings, all acorns one day had the potential to grow into oak trees. A thousand situations had proven how powerful words could be, especially when backed by sheer force and willpower.
When Sirus spoke at last, his voice was smooth and unfettered, yet it still managed to cut through the background ambience of the rest of the pack. "If Alpha Fjord approves, I will accept this request." His eyes never left Ebony's as he spoke, studying her intensely to gauge what she might be capable of on the hunting grounds. She was young, so using brute strength to overtake anything was absolutely out of the question. If she wished to succeed at her task, she would need to use strategy in order to take down prey. Otherwise, with nothing but reckless drive and a blind desire to be accepted into her pack, she would doubtlessly fail. Then again, as she seemed intelligent, he assumed that she had already realized that by now. That meant that all she needed was to be guided by someone more seasoned— a role that he was willing to fill.

Fjord remainder silent for a while. He knew he should tells aloes to stop gossiping with edge. After all she wasn't betess. His attention then drifted to Irene who chose this moment to show his face. She looked around her as if hoping no wolf had noticed her absence. He would have to have a chat with her later. Then again Fjord's attention shifted, this time to the matter on hand. The little sprout Ebony had announced her choice of companion. Sirus, and interesting choice. Yet when he thought about it he could see the logic. Frankly, Sirus was the most attentive wolf below him. He was quiet, not necessarily shy though. He was more efficient and necessary. Sirus then voiced his consent.
In response Fjord nodded and parted his jaws to speak. "Wise choice Little Sister. Sirius, follow her on her journey, do not interfere unless her life is about to be taken. It is her test." he spoke these words sternly, his eyes glinting with a threat. If Sirus cheated for her both would be punished severely. On the other hand, if he did not protect his charge from the grasp of death, Fjord would be angered and no one wanted to get on Fjords bad side. Ebony was in many ways the future of Midnight silence. She would grow up to fill an important rank, and have pups. That's what this place needed pups. Without them, Midnight Silence was Doomed.

Edge accept the offer to Analise as she called him rude, which in return the male growl playfully at his packmates along with his own shove at her. As with the next female, Edge nod as he aid her in the important information according to the next moment of the ritual.
With his attention back at the meeting, the black wolf ears perk with puzzle as Ebony choose Sirus as her mentor; even though he has yet to see who he stand too prove his place and loyalty to the pack, Edge blink in confusion on why Ebony choose him than the rest. Even if he wanted to denounce the partnership, Edge quickly shut his jaw as Fjord accept the two together.

A COLD RAIN IS FALLING
She was certainly relived and grateful that her request had been approved, and thanked the Alpha accordingly.Sirus had looked at her the whole time he had spoken, yet whether it was out of surprise or confusion Ebony did not know. The only thing that had unnerved her was the way Alpha Fjord had specifically said not to interfere unless her life is about to be taken. Obviously the pup was aware of the risks that come with hunting, the target could easily fight back. She could lose an eye, both her eyes or break a bone, break multiple bones, but reminded herself not to think about the risks, but about successfully taking down an animal. She needed a good plan- a great plan- and hopefully the one she had thought of was good enough. Aware of how the question made her sound, she voiced her only question. "Where should my ritual and hunt take place?" She did not know whether to add Alpha Fjord? To the end of her question, as it was not directed at the Alpha, but anyone who knew and was listening.

She watched Edge and Analise banter back and forth and couldn't help but to shake her head and sigh. She was about to interrupt them and tell the two that they needed to listen more and speak less. But when Ebony asked that Sirus be her mentor she looked between the two with confusion. She was expecting Edge or even Alpha Fjord to be chosen for the ceremony hunt not Sirus. Tanali was about to speak up and ask Ebony why she chose him but quickly closed her jaw whenever Fjord approved.
Tanali nodded her head when the decision was final and approved. Now it was on to the where and what part of the ceremony. The shewolf tried to listen but her thoughts were on her own journey, she hoped that she would be allowed to seek out Geist.

She stumbled sideways a few steps as Edge's strength and size pushed against her. Her small size was light compared to his. .Analise noticed the looks she and Edge were getting and ducked her head a bit. 'Woops,' The female gave a sheepish smile and shrugged her shoulders lightly. She figured they would be scolded for their horse play in a very serious time like this and tried to focus on the ceremony. She was pretty curious about it seeing as she hadn't had her own ceremony when the pack first started off, not too long ago.
Her red eyes watched Sirius and Ebony and took in her pack mate's appearance. She seemed too small to take down prey with strength so she hoped that the poor pup would make it. Analise couldn't bear the thought of Ebony dying. Killing another wolf was one thing, but letting a pack mate- a family member- die was another. She frowned and turned her head to Sirius, silently hoping that he might encourage her, if not, give her tips before she was meant to kill something. She hoped Ebony would choose something that couldn't fight back as well, instead of something that could end her life early.

"I really hope that the pup made the right choice. Even I don't know Sirus' plan for her, but if the kid want something interesting, then she in or it." Edge thought to himself, kicking his ear with his hind leg as the hidden dirt was pat down. His ice cold eyes stare at the chosen mentor, sighting if movement was to be made; his heart may be hard to trust another soul if not Fjord, but his mind force him to just put up with it if he must rely on to the common.
In mere seconds after glaring his eyes on to Sirus, Edge turn his attention back towards his Alpha as his thundering voice hopes to capture his notice. "If the pup needs to, without be disturb nor attach to her mentor, I proposed that she can hunt her first kill alone. Sirus can just watch her from afar and only jump in if he need to."

Fjord blinked slowly and surveyed his pack they were relatively silent, he noticed the slightly suspicious or jealous looks. He knew this would happen, he would fix that. Though, not right now. Now, was the time for matters at hand. "Yes edge this is to be Ebony's task alone. As I stated before. Maybe if you were paying attention, you would know it. If you would like to keep your position as beta, you must step it up." Fjord had no problem calling any wolf out in front if the whole pack. "Ebony, you will choose, that is part of the assessment. And Sirus, if you wish to challenge some wolf, you will be permitted after you return with Ebony."
The shite make raised his head and barked. "Depart now in your journey. As for every other wolf, challenge away. Who wants to challenge me?" he grinned, white fangs gleaming lethally, his red eyes glinting dangerously.

Edge, shock at the words from his Alpha, the black wolf sink his head down as a bow and shallow his sudden dry throat. Fjord may be smaller than him, but his strength and fury was raw, perhap even venomous than any wolves! A challenge? More like a death sentence coming from a wolf who murder without question nor mercy within his fangs. Edge silently whine, hoping that this wasn't a rally of disobedience to Fjord. "No sir. I'm sorry; my mouth speaks before my mind. Forgive me, Alpha Fjord." Icy blue eyes peek upwards at the standing wolf before eyeing the rest of the pack mates. "If this is Ebony's wish and your consult, I can't denounced such. Sorry Ebony. Sirus."

Tanali looked to Edge as he spoke out what she was thinking as well. She was slightly shocked that he said what Alpha Fjord had apparently explained already. Glancing at their alpha she watched as he called Edge out causing the wolf to look slightly embarrassed as he apologized. The she-wolf rolled her shoulders and nodded toward Ebony as they were told to head out.
When the topic of challenging was brought up she looked around at the other wolves. Beta wasn't a position she currently wanted so challenging Edge would be of no point. And she knew it would be suicide to challenge a wolf who killed without thought so her Alpha was out of the question. She wasn't going to give her life up quite yet, so that only left Analise. But her position in the pack she didn't know, so that to wouldn't be worth it.
Having made up her mind not to challenge anyone Tanali sat down on her haunches and wrapped her tail around herself.

Analise dipped her own head, seeing as she was the one who had distracted Edge's attention from Fjord's rant. She prefered to keep the rest of her limbs, seeing as her mouth already cost her the price of her tail. When Alpha Fjord brought up challenging, she tilted her head. She wasn't of any important rank and didn't know the strength of the beta Tanali. Not that she wanted her rank. The royal blue she-wolf preferred to have less responsibilities and duties. After everyone was quiet she turned to Edge and muttered, "Sorry.." She turned and padded over to the she-wolf who had sat down and not challenged anyone, trying her best not to look like she wanted to either pick a fight or cower at her paws. She, too, sat down not far away and greeted Tanali. "Hi. I don't think we've met before. So, I came to talk to you." She said, and dipped her head yet again. To Analise, Tanali was of a higher rank was to be respected as well. She hoped that the female wouldn't suddenly change her mind in the challenging other wolves deal.

(Attention all, Pride has chosen to delete Sirus. Ebony and I have spoken and she has chosen Edge as her chauffeur. All has been arranged. So we will continue as if Ebony and Edge are ready to leave. It is up to @ebony and @streange to choose thier exit times. If some wolf wishes to challenge Edge, please do so upon his return.)
Fjord glared down at his pack. We're they all cowards? Was not one challenge going to be made? Surely Tanali would fight for betess or gamma. Surely some wolf would rise! Fjord frowned and thumped his tail. "We haven't got all season, we need a gamma!" He roared, nearly losing his cool. "Will no one rise to the occasion and cease this great oppurtunity?!" Fjord growled. Perhaps Enony could eventually fill that spot....
The white male barked savagely, power mark glowing as a rain of sharp icicles formed from his breath and embedded themselves into the ground beneath him. He huffed, waiting for his pack to arouse. What a bunch of spineless cowards.

Tanali glanced at the other she-wolf ears pricked as she approached her, would the wolf challenge her? Lip curled up slightly as the wolf continued to approach, but once she was in striking distance the russet female moved her tail as if to get up but paused when the female merely greeted her. Nodding her head in return she relaxed just a little," Hello, and no I don't believe we have I'm Tanali." She told the female who now stood beside her, whenever Alpha Fjord growled and called out she turned her amber eyes onto the male and watched as his mark glowed.
Seeing as she might not have another opportunity she stood up and stretched,"Alpha may I seek out Geist for the power of inferno?" She asked him approaching him slowly but stopping a bit before him.
