The air was still and silence was draped over the area where the Ruins of Abeytu lay. This currently abandoned space gave way to the crackling sounds of frozen leaves being trod over as Hiram made his way in between the stones. The expression on his face was that of awe as his gaze trailed over these mysterious formations. He came to a halt in front of one of the larger structures and leaned forward to try to take in any scents that coated the stonework.
Hiram's nose brushed against its frigid surface and he pulled away slowly. He let out a sigh of hot breath that materialized momentarily into steam and he watched as it rose and then disappeared in the chilled atmosphere around him. This simple action reminded him of the quickly declining temperature of the season and he shivered as he turned his attention to another smaller ruin. Traveling in the winter was never the most intelligent feat but he had to scratch his itch for further exploration of the forest.
These ruins were one of the greater discoveries over the last few days and he was still head was still reeling with questions about what he was viewing. What was the story behind it all? Could this strange formation of stones have created or organized by a wolf? Another creature, possibly? Could they have been placed here by powers beyond our understanding? Did the ruins have a certain function?
"How curious..." He murmured as he continued to study every inch of the stones and as he did, he wished there was a way to find the answers to all of his questions.
