Illao:
The fiery pup woke slowly as the other pups yelled in reaction to Flint's return. She yawned as she stretched and looked around refreshed from her deep sleep. Images of her nightmares still remained in her memory, but most of her dreams had faded. Illao's green eyes widened as she understood what was going on. "Kodi? Flint? Are you okay? Kodi!" Illao shot to her feet and galloped to the two frozen pups. The tears that had threatened to flow before now streamed down her face, half in relief of their survival and half in fear and guilt. She stopped a couple paces from them. "I... I... I should've done something!" She finally stuttered out. The single sentence opened Illao's next ramble. She wasn't exactly sure who she was talking to, she just talked.
"I should've been out their searching with you. I should've listened to your warning. I should've... I should've helped more. I feel useless. I try to help, but it always seems to end in disaster! I got a power and it seemed awesome and amazing and helpful, but I can barely use it properly. I should've found a way to use it to find Kodi. But, I don't know how! Maybe I should've chosen a different power, one that I could use to help my friends more. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have stayed. I've only caused you guys hardship. If I hadn't hesitated to listen, then you won't have need to search through the storm. I'm not helping at all. I should just leave before you regret having me around even more. Nothing's the squirrel's fault, it's all my fault. I feel like I'm just a dead weight. I should be the one suffering, not you guys. I'm sorry." By the time her speech ended, Illao was crumpled on the floor covering her face as she sobbed. She couldn't speak another word between the tears.

She finished gathering up her raven she had caught and had continued forward into the trees. Blood had stained her ivory fur and she snorted. "So much for being clean...oh well at least I have this to eat for later." She sighed and continued forward, deeming it second on her list to a good place to sleep for the night. It seemed like ages as she walked along the forest. The temperature took a dive and she shivered, shaking her coat to keep in as much warmth as she could. "Snowstorm? Already?!"
She gritted her teeth as she raced forward, trying to out run the nasty weather but soon her backside was met with an icy shock. Her eyes snapped wide open as the air circled around her viciously. She swung her head left and right desperately looking for a place to get out of the raging snow before it would be the death of her. She traveled for what seemed like ages, cold and sore from the almost burning snow. "THERE!" She gasped, keeping a tight grip on the raven she had caught, as ice ripped through her lungs, snow swirling around her. A dark crack in between a set of rocks. Oh it was going to be a tight fit, to get inside, but it was going to be better then the alternative. Death. Her mitts pounded on the ground as she raced forward, sending snow sailing into the air, the smell of pups smacking her in the face. She stopped dead in her tracks. "Maybe..Maybe i shouldn't..." She thought as she stared at the opening. The blizzard was calming down...or at least more manageable. Another loud howl of wind ripped through the tree lines and urged her forward as the snow raged on, as if insisting it was all but done."I've come this far... I cant throw all of my life away because I'm too scared to get near other wolves."
She hunkered down as she squeezed her shoulders in, finding it was much bigger on the inside than the outside. That was worth a sigh of relief. She slipped in through the crack and was instantly staring at 5, what seemed like younger, pups. Her hackles instantly rose on defense but she kept it to herself quietly. They were shrieking and crying. Panic. Ah she knew the feeling all too well in her short life. It seemed like they were too caught up in what was happening to see this lone she-wolf standing in the opening of the rock, blocking out the cold air that was whipping at her back. Panic danced in her eyes, as she watched them all. She dropped her raven snack at her mitts and spoke up. "Are you all alright? Its so fridged outside tha..." She stopped talking as she noticed one of the pups wasnt moving, and looked almost stiff. Death was around the corner. She gritted her teeth. "You need to warm him up! Fast! You'll lose him!" She snapped, coming off more harsh then she meant to. "Here I... I can warm him up, please... let me help..." She lowered her head, raising one of her paws and gesturing towards her, her thick warm fur raised, seeming like the perfect blanket. She could lay around him to help warm him up, wake him up from deaths clutches. She had fed on too many creatures that had met the same fate...

Flint: He nuzzled Illao. "We arn't going to leave you. Your one of us now." Then he looked up as the new she-wolf came inside. Following her instructions, he pushed his much larger brother to the new wolf. (Kodi has giantisum, which makes him bigger the the rest of him family.) Toki: He sat in one corner. Hating himself for what he had done. Being glad Kodi had run outside, hoping Flint would get lost in the snow... How did I even live with my self? I'm as evil as a wolf who murders, for what I did. He felt tears start trickling down his face. He barely noticed the new wolf come in, but he didn't do anything. Jess: She sat and cried. She cried for her brother, for her family. When Illao started crying, she cried harder. Kodi had gone outside looking for HER and Illao. It's all my fault. she thought miserably. Because of me, Kodi, the only brother that looks anything like me, is going to die!. When the new wolf burst in, she looked up, still crying. Her blind blue evergreen eyes red and puffy. Kodiac: He vaguely herd crying. Talking. He tried to get closer, to no avail.

She forced a soft smile across her maw to try and comfort the group. 'Smiling...am i smiling? Its so foreign im not sure if this is comforting or not...' She thought to her self as she pulled the large pup against her chest. "It'll be alright, he will be fine" She assured the small male in front of her as he passed her his brother. Mirari knelt down, wrapping her frame around the boy as best she could, draping her tail across him like a blanket. She placed her warm forehead against his own, hoping it would warm him quicker. "Do not be afraid" She whispered to him, half speaking to herself for assurance. " Im here for you, I'll get you all through this..." She licked his face softly, hoping to stir him.
She was caught in a trance like state at the young blind pup's eyes. They were so beautiful...even in a time of sorrow. She vaguely recalled another wolf from her past, an elder, that had a very similar look to her eyes. 'She must be blind' she thought to herself. She heard soft sniffles coming from the corner and spotted another young boy. 'Theyre scared, mirari, just like you... you have to be brave for now...for them' She snorted to herself, determined and gestured to the young pups, trying not to take her body heat from the boy for more then a moments notice. "You guys need something to eat, come come!" She leaned forward and nipped the raven she had been keeping with her. " Its not much, but you are more then welcome to it, please come eat..." She smiled, auds laying against her skull. She took a quick bite at the ravens leg, snapping it clean off. She tucked it beside her for when the larger brother awoke and turned her gaze to the others, carefully watching...

Kodiac: He felt licks on his face, and warmth surrounding him. Am I dead? he wondered. The cold pangs were gone, but he still had a chill in his paws. He herd a voice, and tried again to reach it. He opened his eyes to a dark cave-like place it took him a few seconds to recognize. He was home. Flint: He eyed the raven, but he decided to deal with his fur first. As he licked it and the snow melted, the mix of reds and browns and whites was beautiful. The stripe on his back, he got creative. Rubbing his back on the wall got most of the white out of the ash gray. Toki: He looked up, startled. "Who are you?" he asked, more puzzled then alarmed. He looked very odd, with the kink in his otherwise perfect tail. If you looked closely at his back as well, you would see an arch. Toki had long lerned to live with it. This fact, however, did not stop him from disliking it. Jess: She nibbled at the raven. Her sharp ears twisting and turning like radar dishes. (Blind people can hear hartbeats -or so I'm told- I'm going to give Jess this ability) Jess had never noticed it before, but she could hear hartbeats. The reason she hadn't noticed it, was maybe because it was a constant noise. But now one was slower. She assumed it was Kodi, until it got quicker. When Kodi, as she would learn later, woke up. (I did a bit of research and turns out that blind people can't hear heartbeats thought their hearing does become more acute, but I guess a wolf's hearing is better so a blind wolf may be able to hear them? :\ )
Illao:
Illao's head shot up at the sound of a new she-wolf's voice. She stared up at the wolf with wide green eyes. Who was this stranger? Was she going to hurt them? As the female's words penetrated Illao's mind, she leaped to her feet realizing how crippling she'd allowed her guilt to become. She gently touched Kodi and recoiled at the feel of his cold skin. It's too late! He's dead, Illao immediately thought starting to panic again. Then the she-wolf pulled Kodiac to her side. As the other pups tried to focus their attention on other things, Illao's eyes were fixed on Kodi's unmoving form. The reassuring words that'd been spoken banged around in the young pup's head filling her with hope. She jumped as Kodi opened his eyes.
"Kodi!" She yipped happily tears still dripping down her face, "I can't believe you're okay! We thought you were dead. I'm so sorry that I didn't listen to you when you called out 'blizzard' but I haven't been in many blizzards and I didn't realize that such a gentle snowfall could turn into one. I'm so glad you're gonna be alright. I was ready to give up when, uh, what was your name? She paused for a second turning to the she-wolf. Then barely waiting for an answer continued rambling, "Right, she came along and warmed you up so you wouldn't and she also brought food! I don't know about you guys, but I haven't eaten in days. But I was too worried to take a bite until you woke up. Now you're up! Flint was amazing going out in the blizzard to find you and everything. I can hardly believe that he hauled you all the way back here. I wanted to find you, but I would've failed you just like I keep failing everyone! And... pant... I'm sorry!" Illao broke off as she began panted from the constant flow of words. She resorted to her power, but she wasn't sure who to project her words act. She wanted to talk to everyone at once. She tried to best she could beginning a mental tangent.
Illao looked a the she-wolf first"Thank you! I haven't known these guys very that long but their already my bestest friends ever. I can't wait to-" Illao's thought train broke off suddenly as she glanced at Flint "You were so awesome! I don't think I could've ever done what you did.-" Her eyes shifted to Kodi, "I can't get over you being okay! I so relieved-" Illao grinned at Toki, "I'm glad you stayed to stand guard. Who knows what would've happened if you were here!-" She turned to look at Jess who was chewing on the raven. "Did you get some rest, too? Ooo, food! Save some for me!" Illao scampered to Jess's side and took a big mouthful of meat as the glowing power mark shaped like a third eye faded to the color of her fur. She looked up for a second to rely a final few sentences. "Mmmmm! Thanks so much! Could you teach me how to hunt sometime?" Then Illao bite off a chunk of meat and scampered to Kodi to drop it in front of him. "Here! You need some food, too," she said back to speak aloud. She started back to the raven but paused as she noticed Flint cleaning snow from his. It seemed that he couldn't quite reach a couple clumps on his back not matter how much he rubbed against the wall. "Need some help with that?" She asked trotting over.

Kodiac: He saw Illao. "Wha?" he asked, still cold. He looked down at himself. Ice covered his fur, and snow caked him. He lay his head back down. Please, don't let that mess of snow and ice be me.... he pleaded mentally. Please.. But he had to accept it. He was the mess of a frozen wolf. Flint: He shook the remaining snow away. "I'm good, but thanks, Illao." He then pawed off his muzzle, showing his namesake marking. A flint marking on his muzzle. He smiled. Toki: He yawned. Still hating himself. Jess: She curled up, working on sleeping.

As the pups bustled around excited to see everyone okay she felt a genuine smile cross her face as the warmth of comfort spread over her. He would be fine. Cold and stiff for a bit but fine. Her ears sprung forward has the firey red pup spoke at her, almost too quickly for her to keep up. She couldnt help but chuckle as she moved on, eatting at the raven with the other female. "My name is Mirari and im very happy you all are okay." She gently nuzzled the boy again, and began to clean his fur clean of all the snow and ice that was left. 'Im just glad i can help them... i didnt have any other wolves to help me along in times of need when i was younger'
She thought to herself. " So... What do I call you all? You must have names.." she laughed, brushing the last of the snow from Kodi's back. She turned to the red female again "I will certainly help you hunt, im just sorry i dont have more food for you all right now." She said as she took the ravens leg from beside her, and offered it to Kodi as well."Once he warms up a bit more... I can go out and try to find you all more food" She spoke warmly, smiling ear to ear. It had been forever since she had been around anyone... the loneliness could drive one mad. She was extremely thankful for companions that werent at her throat.

Kodiac: "Well, I'm Kodiac. Thanks for saving me, Mirari." Kodi said. Is this what it's like, to have a mom? he wondered. He started nibbling at the raven. Feeling some warmth creep back into him. Flint: Flint collapsed in a heap. Soon he was sleeping. Flint was tired. But his dreams were scary. In the first dream, he felt the bite of cold. He was hanging from a mouth. Next to him was another pup. All he saw was blinding snow. Then he was set down, in front of a cave. In the dream, Flint got to his paws. He saw Kodi, Jess, and Toki next to him. Where were they? Kodi got up, making his way to a bush. He didn't say anything, but Jess and Toki followed. Flint did too, until the dream changed. It was a bloody battlefield. Dead wolves littered the ground. The sent of blood hung in the air. Flint backed up, only to trip over something. No, someone! he thought looking down. It was Toki, eyes losing their lite. Then the dream changed once again. Toki: He was plagued by dreams similar to Flint. Only from his perspective. He was Toki in all the dreams. The one dying on the blood covered stone. Jess: Jess, not being able to see, never really had any dreams. But she did smell them..... The sent of blood. A wolf that smelled like her. Toki, dying. She shivered, and tried to think of a good dream.

(I can post here, right? :3)
Shikoba: As Shikoba's eyes adjusted to the light when she emerged her den she pawed the snow-topped grass lightly. It felt tingly because her paws had not yet hardened. Looking up she saw her beautiful frost-covered home for the first time. Slabs of rock covered the forest floor to the left of her. A snowflake landed on her muzzle and she snapped at them again and again, and soon she was moving forward. She was oblivious to the fact that she was moving further and further away from her den. An unfamiliar wolf scent filled the air, her paw pads felt cold now and the wind started to pick up. She stopped playing. The colourful she-wolf looked all around for her den, but she had strayed too far and couldn't find, or even smell it. She shivered and gave a quiet whine. "Where's father?" she thought. She pricked her ears as she heard faint speech carried by the wind
King: King felt a fly on his muzzle and twitched, screwing his eyes up. "Uh, my head. World spirit, what have I done to anger you?" He thought to himself. He wondered how long he had been passed out. He caught the stench of a frozen corpse next to him. He opened his eyes and jumped to his feet. "AH!" He yelped and held up his right paw, which was badly injured. He had fought the young bear, he had to, it was going to kill his pup, Shikoba. His heart throbbed. "Shikoba" he whispered. He put his injured paw on the small bear, looked down solemnly and mumbled "May you find the world spirit." He then shook off the snow that was gathering on his back, and rushed as fast as his three paws could carry him, towards the den, not caring about the cold or pain he was in.

Illao:
"Mirari's a pretty name! My name's Illao!" Illao yipped as she trotted back to the raven. She started munching on the carcass again. She ate her fill and backed away from what was left of the bird. She let out a small sneeze and feathers flew into the air before slowly drifting back down. She licked her lips and yawned. "I should probably get some sleep!" she said tiredly as she padded softly over to where the other three pup slept. She settled down beside Flint, smiling at the feel of another wolf's fur. How long had it been since she'd slept beside another pup? More tears threatened to drip as she thought of her family. Little Akiane and protective Kipli, her siblings. She recalled the nights that she spent giggling with her sisters at her father's goofy behavior that day. It'd been a happy life and Illao had ruined it. She'd run away in fear that she'd seriously harmed her sister. Then it seemed like a crime worthy of a fatal punishment, now it was almost nothing. Though Illao did regret being the cause of pain, she knew that her quick assumptions were extreme. She wondered where they were now. She wondered if they missed her or if Illao had become a faint memory. She faded to sleep in the depths of her memories of her family.
Immediately Illao was standing looking over destruction. For some reason the bloody battlefield looked familiar, but Illao couldn't pin her paw on why. Illao noticed forms bent over something in the center of the field. It was Flint. Illao ran to him. Illao paused a couple paces away from Flint something bound her from taken another step forward. She could see what Flint was bending over. It was a body, Toki's body. Illao's eyes widened in horror. Beside Toki's dead form, Jess was curled up, shaking. Illao couldn't speak though she tried to say something comforting to the two of them. All she could do was watch with tears flowing down her face. The scene faded and Illao jerked awake. She felt like crying as the emotions from the dream overlapped into reality. The memory of the nightmare disappeared with the tears. Illao wiped her eyes wondering why she cried, but dismissed the thought as she stretched and popped to her feet. The other pups still slept. No doubt Toki and Flint would still be exhausted since they hadn't taken a nap earlier like Jess and Illao.

(I hope it's okay if I post here. I'd love to RP with you all. I'm new so forgive my mistakes.)
Crouched low, Sinoin stalked forward towards his prey. A raven, wings glistening in the evening sun, dew from melting snow clinging to its wings. He licked his muzzle 'Easy now' he thought to himself 'You can do it, no sound, You're quite like a shadow—' his thoughts interrupted by a snap! Paw on a small twig he left unnoticed. The bird whirred its head around giving a sqawck before taking off. "Dammit!" he barked after it, pouncing "Come back here you feathered rat! Get in my belly!" He snapped his jaws at the bird, just missing it before it took to the sky. He whined pacing in annoyance. Wind rustling his fur, as if Nature itself was laughing at him. He sighed once, before calming, trying to sniff around for a less aerial Prey. He paused smelling an odd new scent. It was small, but it brought his fur on edge. 'Another wolf' he growled low in his throat, cautious as he made his way slowly toward the scent. Nearing the source of the smell he paused in confusion. There was a small tuft poking out, jumping around in the thick snow. 'What the—' he gave a warning yip toward the tuft.

Shikoba: The pup froze in fear, there was a strange shadow right in front of her. The distinct smell of a male wolf filled the air. The snow wasn't helping her vision, she could only see his chest. Not knowing how to greet a strange wolf, she whined softly and lay low in the freezing snow. "I'm sorry!" she cried out in panic. "Is the territory claimed?" She paused for a moment, letting the adult speak. "Please help, daddy." She thought to herself as she tightened her frost-covered eyelids.
King: "SHIKOBA!" King shouted as he approached the den, hoping his cub was alive. He stuck his head in the small hidey hole he'd made for her. He was too big to fit in. He sniffed as his eyes adjusted and realised she had vanished. He backed away from the den and whimpered. "No, Koby." He whispered. Determined to find out what happened to her he sniffed the ground and found her scent. "This is very fresh" he thought, giving him hope. Not caring if he would anger the world spirit, he let out a low growl and continued to follow the trail. "If something has hurt her..." he exclaimed through barred teeth. The thought of losing the only pup he could save from his litter made him feel sick.

"I'm more then happy I could help Kodi." She said with a smile. She stood, smacking her head into the rock above her. A sharp whine wheezed from her chest and she shook her head. Darn rock, why did she had to be so tall already? Sometimes she missed the days of being younger. Mirari padded over to the pups, checking them one by one almost instinctualy. All safe, warm, and mostly fed. Brows were furrowed, paws twitched as she noticed the tale tail sign of nightmares littering dreams. "I'm sorry you all have lived like this... i'm sorry for your nightmares" She whispered, a small bead of tears welling on the corner of her eye. She took a deep breath, icy air filling her lungs and turned to Kodi, who seemed to be finishing the last of the raven.
"Kodi... If you are alright for the time being.." She paused, looking at the others again. Why was she feeling such fondness towards this group? She knew better then to get close to things in this life. 'No...you're trying to change...you're trying to get close to others. Youre tired of being lonely..' She forced a smile to her face again, tail giving a few slow wags behind her. "If you're alright...I'd like to go out and find us all some more food." She could feel panic setting into her chest and turned quickly before her could answer. "Please be safe" She whispered, shoving her shoulders through the crack then slipping through the gap in the stone.
Her chest heaved. Why did her paws bring her here? She had been avoiding wolves all her life, ever since the accident. She felt the prongs of fear and regret.'You shouldn't have come Mirari...you're a fool...you shouldn't get close to those pups...you don't want anything to happen to them too.' She shook her head hard, forcing the thoughts away.
The raging snow had died down to a soft snowfall, the deathly cold warming with the last rays of evening sun. She rubbed along the walls of the rock, placing her sent somewhere familar so she wouldnt get lost. She trotted forward, in search of food with the harsh reminder her stomach let forth. It had been nearly 18 days since her last meal, having caught an overly brave raven had been lucky. It would have been but she came across the pups who needed it more. She caught the smell of a few elk and it made her salivate. She couldnt take down a bull by herself or even a cow...but if there just happened to be a calf. She raced forward into the trees, bobing and weaving to get to the smell.
As she approached the elk she came to a dead stop, body pressed against the ground. This is where she found herself lucky, being coated mostly in white. Bull...two cows... and a calf. The calf was playing by the waterside, parents oblivious to what was going on. They were further up, trying to tear nutrients from the trees in the harsh winter. Survival mode. She grinned a devilish grin. As her body slunk along the snow, she came to a stop in front of the calf, waiting for the perfect moment. It splashed around having the time of its life, completely ignorant to its life about to be changed. Her crystal blue eyes watched intently, muscles ready at a moments notice. It tripped. IT TRIPPED. She couldnt believe it. The small calf tripped, sliding forward from the snow and ice into the river bank in front of her. She quickly checked the parents. Farther into the trees, still peeling the trees. It was now or never. She leapt forward, hitting the ice cold water hard. It seized her muscles and made her want to scream in pain. Claws slashed and jaws snapped around viciously. 'Find the target!' Warmth poured onto her face as the familar smell coated her again. Blood. She clamped onto its windpipe hearing something snap, giving it no way to call for help. As she pressed her jaws into the dying calfs neck she caught its eyes. Draining of all light and life, not understanding the cruel reason for its death. 'Life' She thought harshly. 'You need to die...so we can live.' She pulled the calf out of the water and into the tree line quickly.
Once she was up into the trees and a good distance towards the pups she stopped. Her chest pounded, small body heaving at the amount she had to drag all this way. '18 days....no longer' she beamed with excitement as she dug into her well deserved meal. Hot blood and meat met her every bite. Once she filled to her hearts content, she grabbed the calf by the leg and began the long drag through the snow. She luckily did not have to go far but stopped as she heard voices. She left the calf by a bush, marking near it and decided to check out the voices. The snowfall nearly came to a standstill now, a few specs falling from the sky. The pups? Had they left the cave? 'Please be safe, small ones... I've only just met you' she thought desperately. She padded forward through a few trees and came to a stop. A black male wolf stood before a cowering pup. Her anger flared instantly. Was he going to hurt this pup? She let out a low bearing growl, fur standing on end to make her appear larger then her naturally sleek frame would let her. She the realized she was a white furred wolf, coated in blood. She probably looked mentally unstable. 'Stand your ground...you already made yourself present... you have no idea what they will do' Her ears pinned back she let another growl out.

Sinoin barked in shock "A pup?!" he jumped back in shock, tripping over his paws and landing tail first in the snow. "Dangit!" he grunted standing and shaking the snow off. "You scared the wolf out of me, what are you doing all by yourself?" he asked, head tilted. Noticing the small creature give a shudder, he paused before licking the snow off its fur "You're freezing. Are you trying to become the first wolf pup popsicle? You'd be a terrible flavor, far too chewy" he joked laying beside the pup. "Do you remember how you got here? Where's your pack?" He sniffed the air around him 'I smell blood' he frowned, guarded.
