( Rykett) Kodiac: Kodiac poked his head outside. He and his family were living in a crack between two stones. It was a very big crack. Widened by a small stream, it was big enough for four lone pups. Even a giant like him. Kodiac looked back in, and called, "It's safe!" Then his brothers and sister came floding out. Toki: "The sun!" He yelled in pure delight. Toki loved the world. But not so much the killing. Toki saw his brother Flint trying to climb the wall, but he never said anything. In his mind, the world would be better without Flint. Flint: I'm gunna make it! Flint thought. The autistic young wolf was crazy, but his idea was practical. The top of the wall would be an exelent outpost. When he finaly got to the top, he saw his entire family. Jess looked pretty crazy from above, so did Kodiac, for that matter. Then a sent wafted over him.... Jess: She lifted her nose. Something or someone was coming....

Illao:
A young wolf trotted through the forest. Her coat burned a fiery red with white markings interrupting the bright color. She was skinny with her ribs poking out as if she hadn't caught a meal lately. Barely more than a pup, Illao's hunting skills were still lacking. A couple months had passed since she'd run away. Though now, she wished that she could find her family. After galloping down the mountains where the White Wolves lived, Illao had wandered the Barrens in the hope she could find the patch of forest hugging the edge of the Barrens where she'd been born. The trees where her home rested were nowhere to be found thanks to Illao's terrible sense of direction. Nearly starving, Illao had left the Barrens in search of food. She'd been able to scavenge up enough to keep her alive. Now she was just starting to learn how to hunt. She'd managed to catch a rabbit about a week ago. Winter's chill wasn't making things any easier though.
As Illao black nose sniffed the air while she traveled, it plucked a new scent in the air. Illao hadn't met a single wolf since she'd left the mountains. So the scent of wolves were unfamiliar to her, yet it rung a bell in the memories that she clung to. Those memories that whispered of her family had become faded over time, but the scent awoke something familiar. Illao realized that this new scent smell similar to her family. Illao stopped in her tracks and surveyed the surrounding forest. Other wolves were nearby. Illao's mouth moved up and down as if she was speaking, but no words came out. It'd been too long since Illao had spoken to another wolf. The silence surrounding her was one that Illao always longed to fill with words, but there was no one to hear her words except the squirrels and they were terrible conversationalists.
Thought the tree trunks, Illao spotted some unnatural-looking stone. Perhaps that's where the wolves were. Illao's legs sprung into action as she bounded towards the stone squares that seemed to form something. What that something was, Illao had no idea. All she cared about was that the scent was getting stronger. Illao spotted something red above her on top of the squares. It was a pup! Illao grinned a smile that looked almost insane. Her tail was wagging a million miles per hour. She cam within speaking distance and her mouth moved as she tried to speak. No sound. Panic started filling Illao.I can't talk! Maybe it's because I haven't needed to talk so the squirrels stole my voice! I'll get you squirrels! But I still win because I have another way to speak! Illao's scattered thoughts frantically bustled to reach an empty ringing spot in her head to be projected out with Illao's power. An eye-shaped mark that had previously blended into her fur shone white like a star on her forehead. It appeared to look like a third eye, as an avalanche of thoughts tumbled out. Last time she'd used her power, Illao had trouble forcing the thoughts out. This time see had the opposite problem. She couldn't get the thoughts to stop. Everything in her head was sent towards the little red pup above her.
'I can't believe you're a wolf! I haven't wolves in forever! I'm so lonely! I was looking for my family. They're gone. I can't find them. I really miss them though. I'm so glad I'm not alone anymore! Now I have someone to talk to! Though it's not like I can actually talk to you. I've gone mute! Oh my squirrels, I've gone mute! You've got to help me I'm mute! I'm sure it was the squirrels! They stole my voice! Dad says, I mean... said everything's the squirrels' fault because it's much better to blame the squirrels instead of seeking revenge on your fellow wolves. I don't really seek revenge though. I'm not that kind of wolf. But it's always worrying that other wolves might seek revenge on you. Like for example, I accidentally hurt my sister and I thought she was dead because she was bleeding. Kinda stupid now that I think of it. I know now that blood doesn't mean death, but then I didn't so I thought my family was going to take revenge on me because of what I did. So I ran away. I wish I'd never run off, but what's done is done. I can't change it now. I just wish I could find them again. I also wished that I could talk to someone and now I found you! I guess wishes really do come true. Hey! I just realized something! You're red like me! That's so blazing! Red is such an awesome color. My mom's red, so I'm red which is so cool. Are you all alone too? I mean maybe you have a family here or something. If you do, can I live with you? I really need someone to talk to. Though I guess I'm talking now, in a way. Hahahaha! Even if you're alone like me, we can be alone together! Let's be friends! That would be blazing! I've never had many friends except for my sister, so it would be a new experience for me! Yeah! We can be besties forever! Oh! Oh! Oh! If your trying to talk with your mind, I can't hear you. My power's still at Level 1, so I can only send my thoughts. You'll have to talk like this,' "Hello! Oh my squirrels, I'm not mute!" 'I'm not not mute! I'm not mute! Time for celebration! Woo hoo!!!' Illao forced the constant stream of thought to stop as soon as she spoke though a couple sentences slipped though her mental wall. She panted as she mentally struggled to keep her thoughts in her brain instead of sending them to the pup. After a moment of fighting, Illao's power mark stopped glowing and her thought drifted back inside her head. She gazed up at the wolf with wide green eyes as she continued to pant from the exhaustion of using her power so much. Her couple spoken sentences had been hoarse from her voice's disuse.
(O.O Long post... I had a lot to say with Illao... Please don't feel the need to write the same amount. XD)

(Sokay) Flint: He fell of the wall and into the snow. Then he growled, getting infront of Jess, who pushed him out of her way. Flint sighed a little, and then looked back at the newcomer. "I'm Flint, and I'm not alone." His firy eyes flashed. He looked like a patch of flame in the snow. Kodiac: Kodiac poked his head up, and saw his brother fall. "Flint!" Then he noticed the new she-wolf. He had never a wolf her size, besides himself. And she was older then him, that was clear. "I'm Kodiac." Kodiac said, bowing his head. Let it never be said he was disrespectful. Toki: He woke up, startled. "Who?" He asked, after Flint had fallen. Toki took little note. But this newcomer had a strange mark, like a third eye. This unsettled Toki a little. "We don't have to fight." he said, mostly directed at Flint. Jess: After pushing whichever brother away, she made her way over to the new wolf. She coked her head, her ears swivling, and her nose twitching. Trying to make a picture of what was going on.

Illao:
Her grin grew wider as the three other pups came into view. Illao was only about a season older than them. "Four of you! How fun! We can totally be friends, Flint and Kodiac and you other two. I'm Illao!" her voice rasped over the words but she kept talking, desperate to hear her own words. "Now I'm not alone anymore! You can't imagine how long my loneliness made my wanderings felt, like years and years! But it wasn't years, I guessing maybe a season or two. I didn't really keep track. No worries, though! I have you guys as friends." The third pup spoke and Illao quickly responded, "Fight? Course we won't fight! I just need some company. Maybe I can-" Illao's words were cut off as a coughing fit overcame her. When the fit ended, Illao spoke weakly, "Oh my... Guess... guess my time of silence is making it hard to talk. I just can't stop though. I've always said whatever pops into my head." Her voice wavered through the words before she coughed once again. Illao bit her lip to keep herself from spouting out more words.

Kodiac: He sighed. Another wolf he may have to take care of. On top of his own family. "The pasafist over there is Toki, and the girl is Jess." Kodiac quickly said.He shot a glare at Flint. "And we would love to have you around." Flint: A total stranger, are you going crazy, Kodi?Flint stopped growling, but he still was a litle weary. A vauge, barely accsesable memory was nagging the back of his brain. A smell, not a sene.. Flint shook his charcole colored head. No use trying to bring up a smell. Toki: He growled when his brother called him a passafist. Kodiac knew he hated that tital. It fit him though. Jess: She looked at Flint, "Hey, Flint?" "Yha," Flint replied. ""Can you discride the new wolf to me?" Jess hated having to ask someone else for help getting a picture in her head. It was the only way she would know what the wolf looked like.

Illao:
Illao caught the glances that the four pups exchanged as they conversed with her. Illao couldn't help but start a new stream of words, Toki and Jess! Nice to meet you! I should find us something to eat. I getting better at hunting and stuff so, yeah. And-" Another cough. Illao shook herself frustrated with the way she kept having to stop talking. She noticed Jess question to Flint and came to a conclusion. The little she-wolf was blind. No wonder her ears and nose were working so hard. Illao focused on the little tan pup, gathering her thoughts. Her mark glowed as she projected a couple short sentences,'I can do better than that! Wait a sec... Illao imagined a picture of herself. Maybe she could send it. Illao tried to push it towards Jess, but it was like it was too big or too heavy. Illao let out a mental groan and spoke mentally to Jess again, 'Guess I'm not at that level yet... Can't send a picture. Anyways I can describe myself faster than Flint can say a single word. I'm a pup like you but about as large are your brother, Kodaic, since I think I'm a bit older. Though I guess you don't really know exactly what colors are, my fur is fiery red with white markings. There's also a mark on my forehead that's only visible when I use my power like I'm doing now. I kinda hungry so I guess you'd call me skinny. Yup, that's me! Illa-' Illao cut herself off as the struggle to send the description exhausted her. She nearly collasped in the snow as her vision wavered with black spot. "I'm fine," she rasped as she regained her balance. Illao smiled. It'd been weird to describe herself. She'd seen herself in the reflection of ponds, but she'd never thought she'd be describing the face she saw stared back up from the water at her.

Kodiac: "I actuly have gientisum," Kodiac said. "And if you want, you can call me Kodi." Then he saw the mark on her head. Who is she talking to this time?He followed her gaze to jess. Oh... . Flint: Flint licked some snow, some autistic qualitys were always a little present. But as he got older it seemed to get worse. He started randomly digging, just to get out some energy. Toki: Toki looked at Flint like Flint was crazy. Toki had never quite gotten his brother. Jess: She smiled. "You must look very cool." Jess flicked her ear when she herd Flint digging.

Illao:
Giantism, Kodi, sounds blazing!" Illao echoed, lowering herself to the snow-covered ground. She watched Flint's curious behavior. He seemed fun! Illao licked the snow covering her paws. Since winter had frozen most water, snow had become Illao's source of hydration. "Very cool," Illao agreed with Jess's words. She wanted to say more, but every word was a struggle. Perhaps a nap might help. Illao looked over at Flint again when he started digging which resulted in Illao getting a face-full of snow. Illao shook off the snow, giggling. She bounded to Flint and joined in his digging game. "We could totally make a den or something!" She laughed a hoarse laugh.

Kodiac: He looked up. The clouds were condencing, and the wind was picking up. After a few weeks, Kodi had lerned to spot blizzered signs. "Blizzard!" he yelled. Kodi's kilodoscope eyes went wide. His tan fur started blowing. Toki had been caught outside once, thankfuly finding his way back before it got to no-see conditons. Kodiac often felt like the big brother. The un-disputed Alpha of sorts. Kodi didn't want all the responsoblity he had, but he was stuck with it square on him. Then the snow started to fall, and he started hustling everyone inside of the crack in the wall. Flint: He skided inside as soon as Kodiac shouted 'Blizzered!'. Flint had never been fond of snow. No sane wolf was fine with a blizzard eaither. Flint, however, hated blizzered becouse they were cold. And Flint Hated the cold with a capital H. Toki: Toki slipped and tripped over hmself in his hurry to get inside. No way am I getting stuck outside! he thought. "Get out of my way, Flint!" Toki yelled, shoving Flint out of his way. Jess: She herd 'Blizzard!' and looked up at Illao. "It's probubly wise to get inside." she said. The biteing cold of the wind was starting. But Jess wasn't going to go in until Illao was in. Crazy blond for sure. Jess thought to herself.

Illao:
The fiery red pup lifted her head as snowflakes gently landed on her fur. Blizzard? There was no way that this soft snowfall could be the start of a blizzard. She laughed and caught a flake on her tongue. "Blizzard? There's no way..." A gust of freezing wind nearly blew Illao off her feet. She stumbled against the sudden sharpness. "Okay, it's a blizzard!" Illao shouted through the howling gusts. Her sentence was followed by a cough. Three of the pups were scampering inside the nearest stone box, but Jess still stood in the snow. Illao pressed her shoulder against Jess's. Illao tried to speak, but her voice refused to call loud enough for Jess to hear over the storm even with her sensitive ears. Despite her mental exhaustion, Illao pushed her thoughts towards Jess, "Follow me. I guide you to shelter." Though Jess might already know where the box that her brothers had fled into was, the worsening conditions of the storm might've caused her senses to become mixed up. Illao started towards the box, her shoulder glued to Jess's so the blind pup wouldn't become lost the swirling winds of the oncoming blizzard.

(I just got a Cromebook!!!!!) Jess: She followed Illao. Jess was easy to find, with her varied tan colors and the charcoal markings. But Jess was also not entirely stupid. Kodiac: Kodi realized that Jess and Illao were still outside. He cursed and ran back out. The blizzard was picking up and it was getting difficult to see. Kodi unknowingly passed Illao and Jess in his rush. His nose was never his best sense. The snow just made things worse. He barreled strait into the storm, and by the time he noticed, he was hopelessly lost in the snow. Flint: "Kodi!" Flint shouted as Kodiac ran outside. Flint wanted desperately wanted to go after him, but the snow was thick as vines. He knew there would be no chance of finding his own way back, even if he DID manage -somehow- to find Kodi. Toki: He watched as Kodiac ran outside. Stupidity at work... he thought, a slight smirk on his lips. Would his day get even better and Flint go out to save him? Unfortunately, Flint did not. But Toki didn't mind.... For the moment.

(Awesome! Chromebooks work great! I use one often. ) Illao:Through the thickening snow, Illao led Jess towards where the shelter had disappeared in the depths of whiteness. It came into view once again. Illao struggled against the biting storm with her shoulder still against Jess's for what felt like forever until she stumbled into the stone box's entrance. She collapsed from exhaustion the second that there was stone under her paws instead of snow and the wind was just a breeze. She really needed rest, both phyiscally and mentally. Her eyelids drooped, but Illao fought against is like she'd fought against the storm. Before she could sleep soundly, she needed to know that everyone was safe. There was Toki rested by the opposite wall of the box. Flint was standing near the exit, staring into the storm as if he'd lost something. Then Jess was by her side, her sides heaving from the battle to get reach shelter. Kodi was... Where was Kodi? The largest pup was gone! Illao whimpered softly as she pulled herself back to her feet. "Where's Kodi?" she asked, her voice hadn't become any better sounding in the short time that she'd been with her new friends. Its hoarseness resounded in Ilaao's head as she spoke since that was the thought that kept echoing in her head. She followed Flint gaze out into the white-out. "Oh..." Of course Kodi was out in the storm, probably searching for Jess and Illao. What little Illao knew about the large pup told her that he would run into danger any time in order to save his family. Illao felt guilt as she considered what could happen to Kodiac in the center of the blizzard. It was her fault that he needed to go out there. Jess probably wouldn't have waited for Illao to acknowledge that the storm was a blizzard. Kodi wouldn't be fighting the element out there if it weren't for Illao. She had to do something! Maybe her power could help. Illao sent out a desperate thought into the storm. "Kodi!" The wind whipped the thought to shreds like it destroyed any words released into its wind. There was only one thing left to do. Illao put a single white paw out into the blizzard, but the rest of her was hesitant to follow.

Kodi: He turned around. "Jess! Illao! Anyone!" He howled. The snow caked his tan, white and silver fur. He would never get back. Come on, your smarter then you look, use you brain! Kodi mentally scolded himself. He might be big, but size wasn't everything. A bite of cold brought a memory into focus. But it wasn't very clear. Like an old black and white TV, with the screen turning to static. He growled, feeling the cold press into his thin, puppy fur. Kodi knew he was almost down for the count, but he had a family to protect.Jess, Toki, Flint, Illao, I'm sorry. he thought, falling into the snow, shivering like crazy as the wind blew the cold into his chest in biting shards. Flint: "Illao! I'll go, you stay and keep an eye on Jess and Toki. I'll go out and try to find Kodi." Flint said, trying to sound more confident then he felt. "You need rest." He said more soothingly. Then he took the plunge into the storm before common sense could take over. Kodi was his brother, and Flint wasn't going to leave him! Toki: Toki stared. "Flint?" he asked, just before Flint ran into the storm. Toki felt respect for his crazy brother welling inside of him. Toki tried to shake it off. But it was like the respect was stuck to him with tree sap. Jess: She collapsed in a heap, falling asleep before any of the commotion could go on. If one thing could be said about Jess, right then, it may have been she was one sound sleeper.

Illao:
"No, I can do it!" Illao protested weakly, but Flint was already gone. I can't do it... Illao thought, No matter how much I say I can. Illao retreated from the wind and snow, deeper into the stone box. Tear pricked at the edges of her eyes as she allowed herself to lay down. I failed, just like I failed Akiane and Kipli and Dad and Mom and everyone. Now I'm failing my new friends, too. That was her final thought before her exhaustion overcame her and she drifted to sleep.
Most of her dreams were blurry, almost non-existent. The dreams were nightmarish forms of her memories. One whispered of a innocent games of chase-the-squirrel until the squirrel turned into a monster and chased Illao and her family. Another showed the unmoving form of Akiane as Illao had once thought her as, dead. Her final nightmare though was the most chilling since it didn't center around Illao's memories, but instead forged a new occurrence. The last dream was much clearer than the one before. It almost seemed real. A wolf's silhouette stood over her. It sneered down at Illao before its evil gaze shifted to look behind Illao. Illao turned to see Kodi, Flint, Toki, and Jess huddled together in fear. Behind those four stood Illao's family. A shudder ran down Illao as she noticed the other silhouettes of wolves circling her friends and family. "Trespassers are not welcome here," A voice above her rumbled calmly. Illao looked up at the first wolf silhouette. "Interesting that all of you came together. I do believe they were following you. Sit with me and watch them die knowing that you were the cause of their deaths!" 'No!' Illao wanted to scream but her voice didn't work. She squeezed her eyes shut as the circle of wolves attack her loved ones. Their yells for help cut short as the blackness enveloped her and left her to drift alone in darkness until she awoke.

Flint: A few hours later, Flint came back in. He was caked in snow, so much that he looked like he was white. He was dragging a large, frozen form. The thing was covered in snow. Both wolves fur was damp from an accidental trip across thin ice. He saw Illao and Jess sleeping. Toki was watching over them like a guard. "Flint!" Toki yelled, getting up. "I found Kodi." Flint said. Toki: Toki had been standing guard for hours. When Flint got back, dragging a 99.5 percent dead Kodi. "Flint!" he cried. Jess: She shot awake. "KODI!!!" she shouted. Kodiac: He was too weak to even try to wake up. Even if he had known he should have.
