A white wolf spotted with inky blotches of black padded confidently through the Frigid Plague pack lands. He was young, barely coming into adulthood and his body was just beginning to hint at at long legged and agile wolf he might one day become...if his foolishness didn't get him killed first.
The scent of the kind Eternal Snowfall pack, natural enemies of the Frigid Plague pack, clung to Ajax's pelt. For he proudly called them his birth pack. The young male's ice blue eyes darted excitedly around the surrounding area. This was the first time he had ventured away from the safety of his pack's territory. He knew nothing of the pack borders, he knew nothing of evil wolves and he knew nothing of the danger he had just put himself in by waltzing into the heart of the territory belonging to the most feared back in all of the mountain. And frankly, even if he had known better, he probably wouldn't care. Ajax possessed the arrogance and over confidence of a young wolf who had been raised in safe and plentiful times. He knew nothing, and no one, could touch him. They wouldn't dare.
Ajax stopped and looked over his shoulder and sighed. He then barked loudly, not caring who would hear him. "Valor, come on! Hurry up! You have to see this!" Ajax's had allowed his long legs to carry him ahead. He felt a twinge of guilt, knowing he should have waited for his brother. Ajax was aware of the scorn their father felt for Valor and it made him incredibly sad. He could not understand why Zeke could not see how strong, brave and loyal Valor was. He might be a little different, physically, but Ajax knew his brother had a heart of gold and he loved him fiercely for it. The young spotted wolf smiled fondly and wagged his tail before turning his gaze back to the large downed tree before him....the meeting place of the evil Frigid Plague pack.

The trees rose up around him, tall, thick, imposing. The redwoods were larger than he imagined they would be . The roots overlapped and towered over him, Valor felt smaller than he ever had before. He was afraid. But would he show it? No! The dwarfed form of a small pup padded quietly after his brother. His fur was short and sleek, though he was still maturing. Soon his rounded muzzle would be sharp and angular, his round lavender eyes would be slanted and narrowed. His floppy ears would pin themselves up and his tail would fill out like his mothers. But for now, he was a round-yet muscular-puppy with large paws and a pudgy face. He was handsome, but no one really saw passed the dwarfism that plagued him.
Valor padded forward at his brothers call, the short grass soft under paw. His round violet eyes widened even more at what he saw. "Wow....it's....Huge!" a giant-esque trunk laid across the ground like the thigh of a colossus god. Valors tiny tail wagged in awe. Despite being nature and responsible for his age, he was still a pup. "Lets go in!" He yipped with excitement and raced towards the bulk of dead wood. Valor didnt know what they had gotten into. He didnt know what their little misadventure would lead to, what horrors would spawn from their deeds.

A female slid into sight of the pups. She hissed at the smell, and growled menacingly. Her snarl was loud and firce, but her voice was taunting. "Well well well," she said in a singsong voice, "what do we have here? Pups from Eternal Snowfall?" she smiled evilly. "Little puppy wupys far away frowm howm. Should I call my Alphess, or do I drag you and the dwarf in myself?" Lokianna said, laughing. "I would get a rank up if I turned you in either way...." she said in her singsong voice. "You deserve it, for intruding on another pack. Oh, I'll call the Alphess." With that she let out a loud, long howl. ( Cascade)

Ajax grinned and trotted after his brother, his tail wagging in excitement. However, before he could tread much more than a few paces, a strange female wolf stepped in front of them. Ajax quickly put on the brakes, startled by her sudden appearance. His frown at the strangers sudden appearance soon turned into a scowl as the wolf insulted his brother. He stepped forward and put himself in between Valor and the stranger. Ajax had never been in a fight. He had played with his brothers and mock sparred a bit, of course, but never anything remotely serious. However, looking at this female he felt his upper lip curl into a snarl and his hackles rise along the nape of his neck. "How dare you talk about my brother like that, you filthy, slack jawed she-wolf! Who do you think you are?!" He didn't understand what she was talking about with ranks and intruding and...another pack? He knew that other packs existed, but knew absolutely nothing about them. He decided to just disregard the things he didn't understand.
Glaring at the strange, sinister female, Ajax snorted and rolled his eyes at her, "Go ahead. You don't scare me and neither does your Alphess! I can go where I want, when I want and I'd like to see you try to stop me!" He instinctively lowered his head to protect his throat as he glared at her. A low growl bubbled up in his chest and escaped through his barred fangs. It was a surprisingly deep and threatening sound to come from one so young. Ajax took a menacing step toward the she-wolf, no fear and no hesitation in his burning icy blue eyes. He would show this wolf that he wasn't a puppy, he wasn't a push over and he wouldn't let anyone mess with his brother. Ajax might be a foolishly uneducated and over confident young wolf....but you had to give him one thing....he was brave. Oh so foolishly brave.
((OOC: Oh Ajax....you're going to get your fur ripped off....lol))

A blind she wolf had been running. She wasn't fully listening to her surroundings like she was supposed to. Last second she heard a she wolf threaten pups around her age. Moments later, Maroon prepared herself for impact and crashed into the adult's side, tipping the wolf over onto their side. Half on purpose, half on accident. She growled and snapped, "Jerk." With that, she stepped away quickly towards the two male pups. She gave a sheepish smile in their direction, her eyes probably looking higher than their heads. Noticing she had no idea where they actually were, she looked down so they wouldn't notice it as much.

An unusual howl had roused Perjury from sleep and called her attention to the fallen giant where her pack often held its meetings. It alarmed her that the howl—clearly one warning of an intruder—came from so deeply within her territory, but it also sounded unperturbed...playful, even. Although Lokianna had not been with them for long, Perjury recognized the voice as hers and rose to her feet at once. She was not one to leave a trespassing incident up to anyone else's judgment but her own.
The alphess was close enough to the source of the call that she elected not to travel underground. Instead, she hopped over twisted roots and weaved through the thick trunks of her forest. In only a few minutes, the unfamiliar scents hit her nose, and soon enough she spied them. The relaxed nature of Lokianna's summons made sense when Perjury saw that it was three mere pups who had gotten themselves deeper into trouble than they could have possibly imagined.
Emerging from the shadows of the trees, Perjury made her entrance known with a light clearing of her throat. "You look well, Lokianna," she greeted, acknowledging her subordinate before taking a good look at the pod of trespassers before her. One of them—a female—was unremarkable outside of the fact that she had stumbled into someplace she didn't belong. But the two males were different. The scent of grass and wildflowers clung to their pelts...worse yet, the unmistakable scent of the Eternal Snowfall.
Perjury had met Piala on exactly one occasion, and there had been only one thing made clear in that brief meeting: That her kind was not a welcome sight in Perjury's forest.
She would not make trouble. It was loathsome to Perjury the extent to which some evil wolves went out of their way to create chaos and destruction as if their very lives depended on it. As long as she and her pack were to be left alone, she could care less about the daily existence of a pack half the valley away—even one that bathed themselves in the cloying, self-congratulatory label of "good." But she would not stand trespassers, and she would not accept ignorance as an excuse from those who should know better.
"I see three pups standing in my forest who don't belong." The alphess said calmly. "Would you be so good as to tell me why?

Valor clenched his teeth together instead of jumping out of his skin. His pelt tingled as his pistachio green fur rose, making him look like a green dandelion puff. The air was damp in this forest, making his breath wet. He was scared, he really was. This black, green, and gold banded female had the most frightening grin. It was genuine, and lethal, but what frightened the pup the most was the fact that is was playful and mocking.
Valor pressed up against Ajax's spotted side as if being closer to the confident male, some if it might rub off on him. True enough at his brothers words his head rose, and his soft lavender eyes hardened. "Leave us alone! You can insult me all you want, but leave Ajax out of it!" Valor barked indignantly, his slim tail arched up over his back.
The green pup shook his head to free it if its dizziness as another wolf came. she was a creamy white with a sift caramel tripe down her spine. her eyes were a pomegranate maroon that was almost purple. The young she wolf barreled into the grinning wolf in what seemed like a daze and then spat out an insult.
Valor opened his mouth to speak only to have his voice die prematurely in his throat. There was a new presence, dark and foreboding. Some wolf of great importance had arrived. Their aura imposed on him even from this distance. Valor gulped and nudged Ajax. "Be careful what you say, I think someone's here that can get us into deep trouble." Little did Valor know, they had already dug themselves a grave.
The owner of the ominous presence stepped out into the open. She was tall and strong her pelt a blinding white, dotted in autumn colors. Her voice came forth like the hypnotizing hiss of a viper. This must surely be the Alphess the black female spoke of.
Valor felt like submitting and telling them all that they would leave, but for some reason he felt like he had to be brave. He lifted his head and looked this shewolf straight in the eye. "We are here because we want to show our parents that we can be brave!" He yipped proudly.

Lokianna growled at Maroon. "Should I take care of this female, or the pups M'lady?" she asked. She grinned evily waiting for her Alphess's command. When Valor spoke, she sickered. "This is Alphesss Perjury! Of Friged Plague, the most powerful pack in the valley!" she spoke proudly. When Valor said that they wanted to impress their parents, she flicked her tail. "I might send your parents you. Alive or not." Lokianna was mostly playing with them, but she felt a little more annoyed at the one with spots. "Your going to lose your pelt." She growled in Ajax's ear. He was going to get killed one day.

The appearance of a female around his own age startled Ajax, especially as she barreled into the mocking she wolf standing in front of him. He remained silent, waiting to see what would happen and how the older female would respond. However, before anyone could do much of anything, another adult she wolf came upon the scene...and this she wolf was different.
It was in the way she carried herself, Ajax decided. She was confident and looked at all of them as if they were bugs she was thinking of crushing under her paw. A wiser wolf would have felt fear, but not Ajax. He glared right back at her, matching her cool confidence with his own. Ajax, it seemed, didn't have the good sense to be afraid, even as his brother whispered words of caution in his ear. Words he quickly discarded, for all that they were wise.
The white she wolf spoke and Ajax opened his mouth to respond before the other wolf, Lokianna, cut him off. She growled a threat in Ajax's ear, causing his hackles to stand on end along his spine. With a wrinkled muzzle, he snapped his pearly fangs threateningly in Lokianna's face before growling softly, "I'd like to see you try to take it she wolf. You might just find you've bitten off more than you can chew." The fact that he was only half grown and, therefore, only about half Lokianna's size did not seem to occur to him. Though he had absolutely no experience, he truly was unafraid.
Ajax kept his attention on Lokianna in case she decided to make a move, but spoke to the white wolf instead. "Alphess Perjury? Of the most powerful pack?" He snorted. "Then how is it we've never even heard mention of you or this pack?" He flicked his icy blue orbs towards the Alphess and gave her a scornful look. "I am not a pup." He said boldly. "And why shouldn't I be here? I like the look of these lands. My paws itched to explore them. We were harming nothing she wolf, before this one..." He gestured towards Lokianna with his muzzle. "came and started trouble. Now how about you and Lokianna just leave us be and we can all carry on with our days in peace." He turned his icy gaze back to Lokianna, who he really, really did not like, before growling softly, "Unless, of course, Lokianna wants put her fangs where her words are..."
If it came to a brawl, there was a good chance that Ajax would lose. But he didn't care and he wasn't afraid. The end result might be inevitable due to his lack of size and muscle, but the other wolf wouldn't come out of the fight unscathed either. Ajax might be defeated in the end, but he would make sure that Lokianna remembered him. The idea that she could kill him honestly didn't even occur to him. If it weren't for his utter ignorance, you could almost admire the bravery of one so young. Or, at the very least, maybe find amusement in it.

Maroon snapped her head back up when the harsher sounding male spoke. He was threatening the alphess of one of the most dangerous packs?! Did he have a death wish? His stupidity and arrogance ticked her off and she set her jaw, glaring daggers in so-called Lokianna's direction. In her head, all she imagined of the she wolf was a bland scrawny wolf with an idiot thought process. She sneered at Lokianna and twitched her nose, trying to locate Perjury in the pool of smells. She mentally scolded herself for getting involved in this mess. Slightly aggravated, she leaned over towards the other young wolves.
She hissed a sentence more directed to Ajax, "You have a death wish or something, twerp?!" She rolled her maroon eyes and scoffed silently at him. The truth was Maroon was fairly scared. She refused to give the evil wolves their sick satisfaction in their doings and kept a straight face. She supposed she could call Snow, if things got worse and they really needed help, but she doubted he would arrive on time and she didn't wanted to rely on him to swoop in to save the day. How could anything at all go wrong, right!

Such disrespect. Had the bumbling fools in the Eternal Snowfall fallen into such a state of disillusion that they did not even think to warn their pups of danger in the valley? Perjury did not stifle the other possibility in her mind—that this was a deliberate test of her boundaries by Piala. What an insult, using a couple of pups as bait and calling herself "good." Whether this violation of her border was malicious or whether it was pure, insulting negligence, it would not be written off. A lesson needed to be learned here.
The maroon pup was somewhat of a different story. She bore the scent of no pack, or at least no group that Perjury recognized. Clearly blind, and lacking the audacious air of disrespect of the proud little snowflakes, Perjury was annoyed by her intrusion but not incensed. "Lokianna," she said, after absorbing each individual plea and declaration, "Would you kindly escort this young pup off of our territory? I don't care where you take her—in fact, being dropped off in an unfamiliar and remote location might be a good lesson about the dangers of this kind of exploration. But stay your fangs, for now. I will deal with these two myself."
She stepped closer to the most brazen pup. Even with her petite stature she towered over the half-grown little fool. "Such cruelty," she said softly, "Relegating your poor brother to be the messenger of your mutilation. Hasn't that poor, misshapen creature suffered enough in life without your 'help'?" There was not a single muscle movement or twitch of her face when the earth sprung to life, melting like quicksand under the two pups' paws. These earthen traps were so simple—and so small, being pup-sized—that Perjury could practically conjure them in her sleep. Unless the pups had extraordinary reflexes, they would quickly be trapped ankle-deep in the hardened earth. The alphess cast a glance over to Lokianna, the only one knowledgeable enough about the Frigid Plague to have seen this coming a mile away, "Why is it that everyone must learn the hard way that I don't fight fairly?"

Valor cast a hard look at his brother. What he was saying was brave yes. But he was treading over the line between stupidity and courage. He then swung his smaller green head towards the young cream shewolf, Maroon. According to the Alphess, she was going to be taken away. He sent her a longing, foreboding glance, only to grunt at his stupidity. Maroon was blind.
Valor couldn't help shaking as the Alphess spoke about dealing with them -the problem that is. He lifted a paw to his muzzle to bite. It was one of his habits he was trying hard to get rid of, but he wasn't perfect yet. He only chewed on his paw when he was scared. And this was the appropriate instance to be scared. Though he had to stay strong his his family here and back at home. When Perjury's insult came he didn't flinch. He was used to it. But one of the reasons he didnt shy away was because she had used the language directed at his brother. "Please Alphess, do not lay the fault on Ajax alone! Even though I may be smaller than other pups doesn't mean I'm any less accountable for my actions." He emphasized 'smaller' because she had labeled him as 'misshapen'. He didn't like that one bit. He was every bit as capable and brave as his brother. Ajax recognized that, but it seemed no one else did.
When the trap arose, Valor already had one paw lifted. So the ground beneath him only enclosed three if his paws. He yelped as it did so, muscled freezing up as he cried out. "What is this sorcery?" he murmured more in awe then in fear, although there was a healthy dosage of that mixed in.

(@kiowa @tearinmyheart) Lokianna sighed. She looked at Maroon, and decided that it was just as well the Maroon be led away. "Come with me." Lokianna said, walking away. She decided that, as she would be away, she might as well get a power. She would leave Maroon at Eternal Snowfall, so they would have to deal with her. Then Lokianna would go and get a power from the White Wolves. She raised her head with pride at her idea, and made her way to Eternal Snowfall. That plan wouldn't fail, hopefully. But how could it? Knowing those good wolves, they would take in this blind runt and she would get a power for her trouble.
