@kiowa, @shiver, sydney, @brogle, @pittypat, @samf, @sierramaya121212, 6dewdrops, Strange, GyllbaneBefore her departure, Perjury had announced that there would be a pack meeting upon her return from the Honovi lands. And returned she had—with a good idea about how to breathe new life into her pack. The Honovi had traditionally given roles to its pack members suited to their individual talents, and it was high time that Frigid Plague followed suit. Not only would it be beneficial for the alphess to know who was most capable at which tasks, but it would be a benefit to everyone in the pack as well. There were talented wolves here, wolves who were languishing under the title of "subordinate." No longer. Raising her head to the sky, she howled. It took a strong voice to break through the canopy and carry over the whole territory, but Perjury was confident that her call could be heard from every corner of the forest. The alphess settled down on her side to wait, as presently there was not much room to lay on her stomach. It felt like her pups were getting restless, and judging from the length of time that had passed since her discussion with Vanitas, it would be any day now. If she let herself think about the coming changes in her life, she'd overthink it, so for now she forced herself to focus on the changes to the pack and its structure. With any luck, her pups would be born into a much more unified Frigid Plague.

Amadeus’ head lifted, green ruff peeling off of the gargantuan root like wolven moss. His easy smile slid onto his lips as he heard the ending of the howl uttered by his alphess. She was calling a meeting, about time too. Amadeus thought as he set into motion. Many new members had joined the ranks of the Frigid Plague only to be confined in the rank of Subordinate when higher ranks were pleasurably vacant. The green wolf himself was after a higher rank, one that lent him power. The charming male trotted on, the fallen giant not so far away from the nearby male. The grassy male trotted on until he spotted her through the trees. It was plain to his sight that the Alphess was pregnant, by whom, Amadeus could only guess. Entering the clearing, Amadeus greeted his superior with a charming smile and a simple bow. When they had first met, Perjury had displayed her dislike for a show, so he toned his extravagance down a bit.

Lokianna: Lokianna raised her head, ears perked. It was a meeting! She bounded over the moss and roots until she came to the Fallen Giant and stopped. She bowed her black head to the alphess, but looked at Amadeus. She crept up on him and whispered in his ear. "Where is Patrick?" she asked, taking a step back and glaring at Amadeus. If only he knew... That brought a pang of guilt that showed on her face for a split second, then she backed away and looked up. It was her duty as a member of Frigid Plague to attend a meeting. If she found Patrick, that was a plus. Patrick: The soon-to-be oldest pup in Frigid Plague sprinted into sight at a pace that a full sized wolf would hurriedly trot at. Patrick skidded to a halt in the levees and made his way over to daddy. A black, green, and gold she-wolf was next to him, backing away. Patrick coked his head at this and sat next to his dad. His orange looked at the she-wolf who stared back at him. Why, he didn't know. He looked away, and up at the Alphess.

Amadeus was the first to arrive, followed shortly by Lokianna. Perjury was aware that the two had bred together, although it was Amadeus alone who was raising their pup—apparently the only survivor. She was not privy to the details of the arrangement, nor had she been officially introduced to the pup as of yet. Their arrangement was unusual, but she couldn't truthfully say that her own was "usual" in any sense, given that she and Vanitas were not together.
"Good evening," Perjury said to the two of them, "I take it your health has recovered?" Lokianna had birthed her pups in winter, and it had doubtlessly been difficult on her body. Perjury did not want to pry too far into a subject that may be painful for her subordinate, but it was also important that the pack as a whole be in good shape. There were rumors that Midnight Silence had grown too large for their territory—it was unlikely that they would try to overthrow Frigid Plague for a claim to the Redwoods, and they would certainly lose if they tried, but Perjury wanted to ensure that the very thought of trying was as unattractive to them as possible. She was no condition to fight.
A green pup appeared in the clearing and Perjury could tell at a glance that he was Amadeus' son. The family resemblance was strong. The little one looked very much like he had no idea what was going on, but appeared at least to be in good health. Perhaps he could be a playmate for her own pups—it was good to have young wolves from multiple bloodlines bolstering the ranks. "Hello," she greeted, "I don't believe we've met. I am the alphess of the Frigid Plague, Perjury."
It didn't take long for Alma to answer the call to the center of the territory—she was never far away. She wasn't too interested in a meet-and-greet, but to her disappointment the only wolves present when she arrived, barring the alphess, were those she didn't know. Sure, she knew Lokianna's name from seeing her around the territory, but they had never spoken. The green wolf, Alma had never even seen before. She wondered in the back of her mind if she should move her den to a more populated area; it did her no favors to be completely anti-social. At least Perjury was a familiar face, and she bowed to her alphess before taking her seat, subtly putting Lokianna in between herself and the two males.

Amadeus narrowed his eyes slightly as Lokianna brushed past him. He had always thought that shewolves harbored strong maternal instinct. However, evil shewolves, Lokianna in particular, seemed to display no such appeal to her own spawn. However, Amadeus was experiencing fraternal feelings and protectiveness towards his green pelted son. He felt a indescribable pulling in his gut to protect and prepare his son for the trials sure to bombard him in his life, an obligation. In his protectiveness, he nudged his son closer to his side with a brush of his yellowish green tail.
Nodding to his Alphess he turned to greet the other members of his clan. "Lokianna." He greeted her somewhat curtly, before addressing the spotted wolf on her other side. "I don't recall introducing myself, I'm Amadeus." He graciously lowered his head, his charismatic allure flowing from his aura. His charming smile flashed. "Im pleased to make your acquaintance." Lokianna may see his slight flirtation in a different light, but they had made a clear agreement that they would have no romantic ties concerning the other.

Lokianna: "I am doing well, thankyou." Lokianna looked at her son. He had grown up, in a way that Lokianna wished she had been there all along. Maybe she should have taken him with his sisters. He would have been raised away from his birth pack but he would have his sisters. Lokianna snuck up behind Patrick and nuzzled him behind the ear, and if Amadeus didn't like the fact she wanted to raise Patrick, he would have a angry mother to deal with. She wanted to make sure Patrick knew he had sisters, and didn't tell Amadeus.
Patrick: Patrick froze when his mother nuzzled him. He looked up at her, and saw something in her eyes. He would interrogate her later, he wanted to figure out what the meeting was about.

A howl caught the attention of the teal pup, causing her to stop chasing her prey - a small fly. Rosyn wondered whether to follow it and eventually, after much debating in her head, she decided that it couldn't really hurt. She cautiously trotted off in the direction it came from, staying alert so that nothing happened to her. After all, she had only really met two pack members and she was still wary.
Soon she arrived, noticing four wolves already gathered, one of them being Perjury whom she had already met. "Hi..." She announced her presence quietly, still on her guard and slightly shy. She was fine meeting new wolves one on one, but when there were more it made her slightly anxious. Hopefully these three other wolves were friendly. The fact that one of them was also a pup made her relax slightly, but she still kept some distance in between them all. Partially out of respect; mostly out of fear.

Caecilius had been dozing in the entrance of his den; something he spent a lot of time doing, he was ashamed to say. He wanted to get out there and do something more fulfilling but he wasn't entirely sure what. He was pretty new to the pack, after all.
Upon hearing the meeting howl, he lifted his violet muzzle high up, barking a little out of agitation. He was comfortable! It took him a while, but reluctantly he stood up and headed towards the sound of his alpha's voice. He doubted that she'd call a meeting without good reason and he trusted her to have some interesting news.
Upon reaching the area, Caecilius immediately sat down and nodded towards Perjury - a lazy grin on his face in greeting. "I hope all is well?"

[OOC: I forgot to mention, there is no post order on this thread, so go ahead and RP freely without feeling like you need to wait your turn ] Alma's ears perked up a bit when a familiar face came through the trees—finally, a wolf she'd at least spoken with. She was unsure of the exact purpose of this meeting, but at least the majority of the Frigid Plague wolves had shown up in good time. It was sure to be important, given the alphess' delicate condition, although Alma struggled to think of anything that the pack might have lacked. Their position in the valley was the most enviable she could imagine. "Greetings, Caecilius," said the alphess as more wolves of the Frigid Plague filtered into the clearing. Rosyn, formerly the youngest in the pack, also arrived, and Perjury acknowledged her as well. With the majority of them here now, she saw it fit to begin. "You may be wondering why I have called you here today. A short time ago I visited our allies, the Honovi. Their pack is undergoing a renaissance of sorts, where every pack member was given a role according to their talents. I wish the same for the Frigid Plague—thus, the rank of "subordinate" will eliminated. We will have warriors and scouts, and the most distinguished among them will become their rank's Chief. The warriors will answer directly to the chief warrior, who will answer directly to the betas. The scouts will answer to the chief scout, who will answer to the gammas." The alphess paused for a moment to let the information sink in. "We will also have a position open for a healer, which may be filled by a wolf who has a strong knowledge of curative herbs and medicinal plants. The power of botany, if it can be attained from Geist, would of course be a boon to the wolf in this position. Now, I have some idea of your individual strengths, but I would also like to hear your opinions. I want everyone to tell me which role you feel most suited to.

Lokianna: Lokianna pawed the ground as the alphess told of the new ranks. She smiled, feeling like a scout may be a good thing for her. She was black, and her idea for a power would be Chameleon, so she could blend in and even impersonate other wolves if needed when she got a higher level. She looked at the other pup, but looked away. She was reminded of Patrick's sisters, when she looked at other pups. "I would like the position of Scout." She said, standing up. Lokianna was a little proud about her talents, but it should work. She really would, if she put her effort into it.
Patrick: Patrick looked up in awe at the Alphess as she said that ranks now had been expanded and Patrick now had a chance at a good rank! He puffed out his chest, standing. He looked short, not vary impressive from the side just at this point in his life. From the front he was hard built and sturdy. A good warrior, he thought. Patrick was a big dreamer, but he had ambitions to put his fangs where his words were. Patrick wanted to aim for Head Warrior, he would run himself into the ground to get there and he was not going to give up.

Amadeus listened attentively. His dark green ears pushed forward on his skull, drinking in every word the Alphess spoke. Amadeus wasn't particularly ambitious, yet he didnt want to be the worst. The dappled green male thought about his talents. With the power he was getting, stone, he could be an excellent warrior. He was fast and quick, he got things done. Frowning slightly, he thought himself more suited to a messenger or hit-man kind of job. His green pelt allowed him excellent camouflage, and frankly, he was string enough to get any job done, not to mention he was wicked fast. Deciding to speak his mind, he piped into the conversation.
"I feel that I could fit into either, my talents and attributes owe to a fast paced, high concentration job. Such as a messenger...and the such." Amadeus spoke smoothly, as if he were bartering.

Caecilius moved to stand next to Alma after greeting the Alphess as she was the only wolf he had spoken to in the pack. He smirked at her before seating himself and turning his head to listen to what Perjury had to say. She was quite smart and he got the feeling that the pack was doing well with her in the lead - but he was certain that it could do even better with these new changes that the she-wolf was suggesting.
Once she had listed all the ranks available, he considered his options. He had never aimed to be anything more than a subordinate so he wasn't quite sure what he would be suited for. Warrior or Scout... definitely not a healer though. He glanced at Alma briefly before looking around the meeting at all the unfamiliar faces. He wondered if the Alphess had anything more to say...
