Large, blue paws heavily fell onto the verdant soil as Leviathan made his way through the forest. He wasn't very sure why he had wandered here. He wasn't much for romance, and he never believed in love, but he had to admit that he was lonely. Maybe he didn't believe in love before because nobody ever showed him kindness and love in his past. The past still hurt him to this day. He became strong and powerful, but the haunting memories never seemed to go away. The enormous male thought that if he had someone who loved him, those wounds could heal...
The summer sun shone through the looming trees overhead, kissing the long grasses and flowers decorating the ground. Levi's dark blue fur and light blue stockings on his front legs illuminated in the sunshine. He liked his pelt and how it was unnatural, but he felt his dark red eyes always seemed to intimidate others. Leviathan knew that even though he was a rough, dominant male, he always had a sweet, romantic side. He never spoke of it, but he always wanted someone to love unconditionally.
He felt just a bit wary about the thought. Levi was never much for pups, and he didn't think of himself as super handsome. He wanted someone that would love him for who he was. But he felt like he just scared everyone off with his large size and toughness. The male shook his head. He shouldn't dwell on the depressing thoughts.
He never thought he would find himself here in the Forest of Love. The thought of having a beautiful wolf to call his love made his tail wag slightly. Although he usually came off as a dominant beast, and he never admitted it, Leviathan still did have a caring and loving side. He knew he would treat his mate well.

Small, light-stepping paws fell against the grassy-green ground that covered this forest. Chocolate colored eyes darted about somewhat nervously for any other wolf that would be lurking around near where she was. The small female had no idea what kind of forest shed stepped into, what with the pink leaves on the trees and the lush vegetation that sprouted and bloomed up from the fertile soil beneath her gold-flecked paws. Akiane had often heard of tales of this place from her mother and father, but they were always bedtime stories and she never really believe in them- considering she was the way she was. Her mind always told her she'd never find someone who would love her, despite her asthma-like disability, enough to stay and get to know her without seeing her as a weak and frail female. Sure, she was that too, but she wanted to be seen as an equal more than a damsel in distress. Sniffing the air like her mother taught her, Akiane froze when the scent of another wolf, a male, was inhaled and had caught her attention. Danger? Oh god.. What do I do? What if he isn't looking and.. And.. the feamel's thoughts trailed off as images of what could happen filled her innocent but fearful mind. Unsure what to really do in this moment, Akiane merely froze in place, her electric green and cerulean-blue ears perking and flattening at every sound she heard, her thick tail stuck between her hind legs, and her chocolate-brown eyes wide as saucers as she looked about nervously. Finally rembering what her parents told her to do if caught in this situation, the she-wolf tilted her head back and gave a hesitant howl, hoping that the nearby male-wolf would answer and they could develop a friendship rather than a rivalry... ((Hope you don't mind if I joined in on this~ ^^ )

The trees looming above him and his paws deep in the tall grass, Leviathan tilted his massive head skywards and excessively sniffed the air. There was another wolf. Rather close to him. His hackles raised a bit as he examined the silenced land with his fiery red eyes. He saw no one.
The dark blue male continued slowly sauntering through the long grasses in an attempt to follow the scent. He weaved through the tall trees, casting an astronomical shadow on each one he passed. The scent was now very close, and he looked up. Another wolf stood in front of him. She appeared to be very nervous. Trying not to seem too scary with his large size and dark red eyes, a kind smile crossed his lips and his thick tail wagged slightly in greeting. "Hello there."

The scent of this male wolf seemed to be getting closer, but the she-wolf didn't know from what direction it was coming from. She spun around frantically, her chocolate-brown eyes wide as saucers as she tried to find the male wolf that was coming her way, his scent getting stronger the closer he came towards her. Turning around one final time, Akiane finally just gave up and plopped down on her rump, hoping that the new male would give her a warning and let her be on her way out of this supposed 'Love Forest.'
Upon hearing a male's voice call out a greeting to her, Akiane jumped in fright and her head snapped up quickly. She looked at this new male, eyeing his blue pelt and markings, her eyes observing his scars and hoping that he didn't start the fights that caused them. Or his supposed victims. "H-hello.. Who're y-you?" Akiane stammered nervously, trying to get herself to calm down by taking as deep a breath she could, not wanting to have an attack thanks to her disability and show she was weak to this dominant-looking wolf. Standing up, she made a hesitant step towards this new figure, hoping that he was as friendly as he sounded (to her at least) and she would be able to live and search on for this thing many wolves call 'love...'

The male noticed that the female was nervous, and he lowered his broad tail into a more relaxed position. Being a very large wolf, he bowed his head slightly, trying not to appear intimidating. His red eyes actually seemed to glimmer a bit upon seeing the female. Her fur was an elegant snowy white color with green markings along her rump. He glanced at her eyes briefly. They were chocolate brown and seemed to dance in the sunlight. They were wide and exhibited an air of timidness, but they were beautiful nonetheless. A slight blush intruded onto his cheeks. Despite him usually being harsh and aggressive, there was something about this she-wolf that made him feel more amiable.
"Name's Leviathan," he introduced. "You can call me Levi if you want." He figured introducing himself would be a good way to begin a relationship. He was after a relationship, yes, but obviously a friendship had to be developed first. Leviathan's family and friends always told him he was too vicious to make such a commitment. The male had actually believed them for a long while, until he realized how isolated he felt in the real world. Some of his friends told him to go and find a mate anyway, but warned him not to get his hopes up... but he hoped. The navy wolf wagged his tail slightly, his crimson eyes sparkling a bit with anticipation. "And who might you be?" he inquired kindly.

The she-wolf continued to look over this new male, slowly relaxing when she heard him introduce himself before he asked who she was. "My n-name's Akiane," she stammered back to his inquiry of her name, giving him a shy smile before walking over hesitantly, her tail wagging some in a friendly and relaxed manor. The female could tell he was attempting to look less intimidating, and thought it was a bit sweet of Levi to do so, especially since they didn't really know each other.
"H-how're you?" the small female asked kindly, sitting down a few feet away from Leviathan and tilting her head up at him. Despite his size and rough-looking demeanor, she thought he was somewhat handsome in his own way with the different shades of blue that made up his pelt and his shimmering crimson eyes. The scars that marked his pelt made her think that if they were to develop something more than a friendship, than he'd be her protector and she'd be his conscious, or something like that. Chocolate-brown eyes continued to study Levi while she awaited a reply to her question, a small and shy smile remaining on her mouth as her cheeks slowly turned a cherry blossom pink hue...

Leviathan blinked and sat down in the long grasses, surrounded by blooming pink flowers. It was strange. They used to disgust him with the lovey-dovey aura they emitted, but now they made him feel romantic. He had to admit that this place was... rather pretty. His ears twitched as he heard the she-wolf introduce herself. "Akiane? That's a nice name," he responded, in just a bit of a shy manner. "Eh... not bad," he replied to her question. His long tail slowly swayed through the pink flowers behind him as a silence seemed to fall upon the two.
He glanced at the she-wolf once more. He never got tired of looking at her snowy white fur and green markings that adorned her pelt. Her eyes, framed by lovely lashes, were a bright, dazzling chocolate brown color that he could get lost in. She seemed the picture of perfection. He glanced away, trying to hide the obvious blush that illuminated his face. He then spoke. "So, uh... what brings a pretty she-wolf like yourself here?" he asked with a pleasant smile. It was a pretty foolish question, after all this place was called the Forest of Love. His eyes twinkled in curiosity as he patiently awaited her reply.

Akiane pawed at the blooming pink flowers that blossomed in the grass, looking up as her cheeks slowly reddened when she heard the male wolf compliment her name then answer her question. She gave him a sheepish smile before returning to pawing at the sprouting buds, unsure how to really act around the male she was slowly growing a liking to. His crimson-red eyes reminded her of a sunset while his pelt had her favorite colors. Any and all shades of blue. The scars she didn't quite like so much, as he could have gotten sick had they not healed properly, but nonetheless she did indeed find him attractive. Not to mention she wouldn't mind waking up in a warm or cold den beside him, snuggled up in his pelt with pups or simply by herself.
Her paws slowly stopped messing with the flowers as her mind slowly clicked and turned and put things together. So this is.. love? she thought, looking around at her surroundings aimlessly as the wind blew and gently rustled the pink leaves in the trees and her fur. Oh how strangely enjoyable this new feeling felt! What do I say? What do I do? Does he.. return the affection I've gained so far? Akiane's mind was spinning and turning and working like cogs inside an old watch. How she desperately wanted to know what he was thinking, but he finally gave her a small clue with the next question he asked. "W-well.." she began, her cheeks a blazing red, "I g-guess I'm looking f-for a mate or s-something... A c-companion, really, as it d-does get lonely sometimes.." she stammered, looking up at Leviathan before standing and hesitantly circling him, taking in how big he appeared and wanting to see more of him. She felt as though she was prancing on clouds as she finally finished and sat back down, this time a bit closer to the male wolf. "And w-what brings a n-nice wolf like y-you out here as well?" she inquired, cocking her head to the side in curiosity before turning her head sharply at the sound of rustling in the bushes, her chocolate-brown eyes widening at the sight of two.. very large..
"Squirrels!" she chirped, standing up excitedly, a grin on her face, before plopping right back down on her rump. Her smile slowly dissipated and she looked down at the pink flower-covered ground nervously. Akiane knew she couldn't fully enjoy herself with fun and games with her disability, but just the thought of doing so excited her, much like this meeting with Levi... What if my disability turns him away?

Leviathan's blue fur flowed back as a cool breeze rushed past him. He actually kind of liked this romantic forest, but he hadn't visited for a long time. The flowers and trees around him emitted a pleasant aroma, the bright pink flowers that surrounded him didn't bother him that much anymore. Lovey-dovey and mushy as they might be, they were rather pretty. The beast hated admitting how much he desired love, he always felt that he would travel on his own. But there was a small bit of love and compassion in his heart, and he had to express it, even though he's usually a grumpy and aggressive soul.
Levi actually found this she-wolf very attractive. She was undoubtedly shy, but it came off as mysterious and sweet. Shy, sweet wolves were definitely a lot better than the loudmouth, cocky wolves he dealt with in the past. He wondered if she felt the same about him. Flickering his ear once as he snapped out of his thoughts, the male noticed Akiane circling him, and then sit back down and return the question to him. He hesitated, not really sure of what to say. "Well... I'm searching for something like that as well. It does get boring and lonely... I guess I could use—" he almost choked on the word in hesitation, "L-love.. in my life." He didn't really like showing the sliver of sweetness he actually had.
His ears swiveled and his head snapped to the side when Akiane announced the squirrels, and surely saw two large squirrels scurrying around in the bushes. He always chased them around as a pup, and they made a great snack if he was lucky enough to catch them... His mouth watered with anticipation but he looked away. His eyes lit up with amusement, but he wasn't really sure what to say now. Her smile seemed to light up the forest around them and he failed at not blushing. Are we... meant to be together? So many thoughts passed through his mind at once.

Akiane was at a loss of words when she'd realized the male had answered her question of why he was in the Forest of Love. Her cheeks turned a pale pink and her chocolate-brown eyes focused on any and everything except Levi's crimson eyes. Those eyes seemed to look right through her and into the deepest part of her soul and she just didn't know what to do, or how to deal with it. Was this the point in their beginning where the male was to wisk her away into a place they could call their home to raise a family in, or was this simply a meeting where they both are looking for the same thing- just not one another.
The anxiety of figuring out what was supposed to happen next made Akiane whine softly as she stood and walked a bit closer to the new male, their noses now pressed together for a few moments while she gathered her thoughts and made her mouth move to form sounds and words. "Wh-what.. What does th-this.. Mean?" Akiane asked Leviathan sheepishly, her chocolate eyes wide and long tail brushing against the ground slowly in a nervous manor. She made to take one step back, and ended up tripping over her own tail, giving a yip of embarrassment as she hit the ground on her rump and looked up at the male wolf with scarlet cheeks before bursting out into laughter. The she-wolf simply couldn't help it! She felt so comfortable around Levi and wasn't sure how to really.. Explain the way she felt towards him. "Let's go chase down some squirrels!" she chirped a bit eagerly, prancing around Levi a bit before calming down and bowing her head, her tail between her legs as she wasn't fully sure if that's what the male wanted to do.
Now feeling insecure, Akiane took a few hesitant steps back, her cheeks red with embarrassment for having come out of her little furry shell with this male wolf whom she could have feelings for but he may not return the same feelings, or this mutual bond of friendship that had a possibility of blossoming into something much more...

Upon noticing that their noses were now pressed together, Leviathan blushed a bit. He couldn't help his broad tail thumping rapidly on the ground. As Akiane stepped back she abruptly tripped over her tail and fell onto her rump. "Are you o—" The male snorted in the middle of his question as he tried holding back a chuckle. He couldn't help it, that was pretty funny. But as she burst into laughter he couldn't hold it in and he started cackling madly. Yes, even aggressive, murderous wolves had a sense of humor and could fall in love. He liked her. She was cute and amusing, and who knows? Maybe if the beast found love, he wouldn't be so much of a hateful ass. He chuckled slightly.
"Squirrels?" Levi replied to the she-wolf's suggestion, a little confused because of his... well... masculinity and pride. The navy blue male shrugged his shoulders. He only chased squirrels around when he was a pup. Ah, who cares? It wouldn't hurt to be a little puplike. What's so wrong with acting young again? he thought. "I'm up for it," he decided. "Let's go!" The male hoisted his muscular mass upwards and looked at his new companion, a mischievous glint in his scarlet eyes as his tail wagged back and forth like a whirlwind. It was strange. Leviathan was actually lazy and lacked interest in anything. But now he felt playful and actually... happy. Could this be what love feels like?

Akiane nodded her head sheepishly when Leviathan questioned the species of animal they'd be chasing, hoping that the male wolf wouldn't think of the game childish and decline the offer of anything. Mostly of them being.. Together.. But when he said that he was up for it, the she-wolf gazed up at him with admiration, her heart fluttering in her chest as she watched him raise his muscular mass up from the verdant ground, her chocolate-brown eyes darting down to look at the crushed little pink flowers before she looked over his build once more, her tail thumping against the fertile soil a few times before she stood up and looked around. Akiane grinned and nodded in the direction of three very fat squirrels.
"Ready?" she whispered to Levi, crouching down into a pounce-like position before hissing "Go!" and darting off as quickly as she could, chasing the fat squirrels out of the Forest of Love and back into her home place of the Barrens, soon tiring and collapsing to the hard ground beneath her paws as one of her attacks came upon her...
-Exit Akiane.-

The blue male turned to the three squirrels with a lively smile, crouching down into the grass although he was too big to conceal himself completely. His navy fur didn't help very well with camouflage either; he stood out like a blot of ink on a blank page when he was surrounded by the blossoming pink flowers. He focused intently on his target, three plump squirrels sitting on their chubby haunches, blissfully unaware. It didn't really matter to him whether he caught one or not, he just adored being around his new companion. Though I doubt I'll miss it, he boasted to himself.
A large, wolfish grin curved the corners of his muzzle upward, revealing a set of 42 tapered, knife-like teeth. The wind shifted slightly, bringing the scent of the wolves to the squirrels. They immediately started scampering away. As Akiane darted off, the male sprang forward quickly, his long, compacted light blue legs carrying him in large strides. Shreds of grass ripped from the ground and blew backwards as Leviathan stormed over the clearing, but he suddenly came to a halt. He looked left and right frantically, an anxious expression replacing his usually brave and valiant one.
"Akiane?!"
-Exit Leviathan-
