( Rykett Fierfly) Eclipse:A dark furred wolf padded down the creek. He seemed to be pitch black with a lighter color down the middle. Just one thing, his other side was white as snow. His eyes where as diffrent as his coat. One blue and the other gold. The blue was on the black side, the gold on the white. And he was doing a strange thing. He was growing plants in the snow. Small green sprouts popped up in his wake, reaching for the sun. It was shining on this day, and a bounce in the male's step suddgested he was happy. His name was Eclipse, and was traveling with his two friends Azi and Fierfly. Eclipse had learned to deal with Azi's flirting, he would even encourage her with a flirt of his own sometimes. That wasn't him though. He was taken with Fierfly. He was lovestruck, now that he knew her better, he loved her even more. Love at first sight? Not really. Love after 2 minuets? Yes. Eclipse looked back, looking for Fierfly and Azi. Where where they? A snow was starting to fall, and Eclipse let a low growl slip. He hated the snow, it was cold and he didn't care for how it covered the ice to look like solid ground. Then he continued on, his ears perked and his nose twitching.

Fierfly:
Wide flame-blue eyes watched as a fluffy, white flake drifted down, down, down - until it landed on the tip of a dark nose; her nose. The eyes watched it melt there and let the slight chill register on the innocent tip of her sensitive nose, and she smiled. Her name was Fierfly, a stranger to the Valley, despite what you might first think with her vibrant flame-stripe down her back and tail. Her looks screamed that she was native and familiar with the strange magic that the Valley was famous for, but she was in fact a stranger.
She shook out of her fascination with the minuscule flakes and jumped forward to keep up with her friends. Eclipse was leading the parade this time - his strides long and determined; but cheerful with a slight bounce in his step and a sly smile hovering over his lips. Azi followed him close behind, her long, elven ears slanting this way and that as she rid the sensitive tips of the flakes that tried to dust them and her slender legs lifting high over the snow before she made her next step. These were her friends. Eclipse was quiet, but nice. Azi was nice - but she was not quiet! She was usually the one to take charge, make sure everything went right, and that everyone kept clean. She told most of the stories as such that the two older wolves were sharing with their younger companion to teach her about the Valley, but she loved them both for taking care of her, for showing her around this mysterious place and being there for her.
"Where are we going?" she asked, her curious pup-like voice was still timid and she glanced around wearily for strangers. She hurried forward a bit to be closer to Eclipse should anyone come up suddenly.

Azi:
Azi was annoyed. Despite her high-held head, her ears were pinned with her annoyance. The long tips involuntary flicked at the contact of frosty flakes of snow. The source of her annoyance on any other day might be the chilly weather. Azi was not a fan of the cold. She hated it with a untamable loathing. Today, though, she happened to be annoyed with her companion. They weren't paying nearly enough attention to her. Azi deserved more! Why weren't they bowing down in worship of her beauty? Why did they not rush around to answer her ever command? It was just not right to treat the magnificent Azi in such a casual manner as Eclipse and Fierfly did.
What also bothered Azi was the fact that Eclipse kept paying more attention to Fierfly. The male obviously had feelings for the young she-wolf, yet it was Azi who truly deserved the admiration. Azi was by far more beautiful and intelligent than Fierfly. Fierfly didn't even know where they were going! Azi rolled her lavender eyes. Wait... where were they going? Azi found she didn't have the answer that she should have. Her annoyance increased and she spoke in response to Fierfly, "Ask Eclipse. He seems to be leading this ridiculous company, but wherever we're headed it better be warm!"

Eclipse: Eclipse looked at Fierfly in surprise. Then he continued, snow turning him spotted. He thought about where they where going. "Well, if you want warm we should go to the forests, but they are for the most part occupied. The Grasslands are colder, but I've heard of a really nice place. We can always rest in that bunch of trees." He pointed out a small bunch of trees that had taken refuage by the river. He broke into a trot, sending snow up in puffs. He looked back at Azi and Fierfly. He wondered if Azi was feeling unappreciated, and asked her, "Do you know anywhere we could find something... " Eclipse couldn't think of anything. He shut his mouth after that, growing vines in between four trees. Soon a makeshift den stood, with ivy hanging from the top and vines making the sides and roof. Eclipse fell into the snow, exhausted. Eclipse was too tired to move right then, he was still new to using his power and got exhausted whenever he pushed himself to hard. Growing grass and flowers was like breathing, it came easily now. He did it a lot, and he loved the green. Vines and ivy where a different story. I really need to practice more...

Fierfly:
The energetic trot quickly became a sheepish shuffle with Azi's sharp reply. Oh she was nice...just a bit grumpy sometimes. Why she was so grumpy Fierfly wasn't entirely sure, except maybe for the cold and numb feeling she probably had in her paws. Yes, that must have been it since she was so concerned with finding someplace warm. Still, Fierfly tried to stay out of Azi's way whenever she was this grumpy, so she let herself fall behind the older female and shuffled slowly after her, ears pinned in apology.
Eclipse paused and began construction on a shelter and Fier's ears perked up immediately. The powers fascinated her and she loved watching them to be used, especially close up. Azi's Teleportation was rather difficult to observe closely, but Eclipse's Botany was easy to watch and fascinating. Vines and ivy quickly wove themselves into a make-shift den and Eclipse flopped into the snow from exhaustion. At this she cocked her head, they had explained that practice was necessary to develop finess with any power, but it hadn't occurred to her that one could get so tired from the effort.
She padded forward and gently nudged Eclipse on his white cheek, "Are you alright?" she whispered, searching his eyes for a sign that no serious damage had been done.

Azi:
Snow powdered Azi's face as it was displaced by Eclipse's paws. The she-wolf sputtered indignantly. Her nose wrinkled in disgust. Why were they treated her like some common wolf? Azi was the opposite of common... she was uncommonly beautiful! The shadows of the trees darkened the color of Azi's coat as she slipped under the trees.
"Something, that's very specific, darling," Azi responded sarcastically to Eclipse's words as she reclined in the shade, cleaning the snow off her muzzle, "I would've thought a male like you would be better with words." Azi was past flirting with Eclipse. If he couldn't see her perfection by now, then he was just blind to beauty. She'd might attempt at catching his attention every now and then as Eclipse was still a handsome wolf.
The vine shelter grew into being between Azi and the other two wolves. At least Eclipse could do something right! Azi padded into the shelter and lay down. She rested her nose on her paws and watched her two companions, suspiciously, as Fierfly made sure Eclipse was alright.

Eclipse:
Eclipse got to his paws shakily, two-colored eyes lacking a bit of their shine. Panting, he smiled at Fierfly, and made his way into the shelter. He made his way past Azi, a small smile playing on his lips. He had to admit, she was pretty. Eclipse, however, like Fierfly for her personality. Azi, she was not the kind of wolf that he liked. Curling himself into a ball, in the corner. As he drifted off to sleep, he thought about the past he was leaving further and further behind. Soon he was lost in his dream, which he had no intentions of leaving anytime soon. Then a thought popped into his head, Did he really love Fierfly? He tussled with that question. She was his friend, but she cared about him more then Azi did. He admitted to himself that he thought she was beautiful, with the fire-like stripe on her coat. He opened his blue eye, as saw Fier. He smiled, he did love her. Just, did she love him? He was torn, she liked him, she cared about what happened to him. She never showed any signs that she actually loved him, or that she liked him beyond friend. He got up from his curl and sat in the doorway, just outside the ivy. He needed to clear his head, and the wind had always been good at that. He looked up at the clouds, and wondered, Would Fierfly say.... Yes? Or would I break our friendship? His face was hard, kinda like he was angry. The black side of his face was to the left, freckled white. Eclipse growled softly, his eyes flaring. He looked angry, his darker side to the other two.

Fierfly:
Azi haughtily sniffed and breezed past the two for the shelter, not at all concerned about Eclipse, but then...she seemed to be feeling left out and upset. She would tend to Azi - as soon as she was sure Eclipse was alright. He was still panting, but he managed a smile and slight nod to assure her that he was alright before trudging into the shelter himself. She quickly followed and now began considering how to make Azi feel better. Grooming? Azi did love to groom and preen herself - and Fierfly and Eclipse even sometimes. She had a certain way she liked things done and if Fierfly missed a step then she would correct the omission and do it herself. She might find it insulting for Fierfly to return the favor and help her.
What else? What made people feel good...? Aha! Compliments! Azi loved compliments. So the younger she-wolf took her place beside Azi, ears pinned in apology and she gently began nibbling and combing at the silky fur along Azi's neck and back. The snow that had piled up on the older she-wolf was quickly melting and adding a gentle gleam to the cream and lavender coat. Here was a compliment! "The snow gleams look so pretty on lavender," she murmured quietly. Azi's long tail twitched and caught her eye. Slowly, carefully so as not to hurt Azi and upset her even more, she licked her paw like Azi had taught her and gently scrubbed it along the deep purple tail end. The gentle gleam came out beautiful, shining delicately among the silky smooth contours of Azi's fur. She had to see how pretty that was.
Eclipse got up and moved to the entrance of the makeshift den. He looked into the cloudy sky, sighed and looked back down, growling gently. Fierfly tensed and felt her wide blue eyes grow wider still - in fear. Eclipse didn't often growl, he was a fair-tempered he-wolf...especially in comparison to Azi, but she knew better than to say that! She quickly returned to pampering Azi and letting her know she was still loved in their little group, but her blue eyes constantly flicked to Eclipse. He was angry, why was he angry? Had she upset him? What was wrong?

Azi:
Fierfly came over to Azi. The lighter colored she-wolf frowned, preparing herself for more mistreatment, but to her surprise, Fierfly began pampering her as she should. In response to the compliment, she said, "Of course it does, darling, lavender is one of my colors, after all." Instead with the tone of scorn that Azi's voice usually held, this sentence was spoken with some flattered joy. Azi was relieved that she was, at last, receiving the treatment that she deserved. A content smile curved her lip.
A growl caught Azi’s attention. It’d come from Eclipse. After focusing her attention on the male for a brief second, she shifted her position to look at the world outside of their shelter. She couldn’t see anything that might’ve triggered Eclipse’s growl. Rolling her eyes, Azi spoke a couple scornful, annoyed words, ”What’s the matter with you?”

Eclipse: He looked up at Azi's sharp words, not realizing he had been growling. Noticing Fierfly looking at him worriedly, he looked at his paws. Then, taking a deep breath, he said, "I'm gunna go outside, I'll be back in a little bit." he said this softly. Then, he turned and went right back outside. He went over the the creek, and he growled at his reflection. A black paw whipped out, splashing the cold water and erasing his reflection. He needed to kill something. Have something at his mercy, something to take out all his anger on.. His ears caught the sound of a rabbit. Looking up, his two-colored eyes trying to make out any irregular shapes in the falling snow. Finally, he saw it. Stalking forwards, his eyes fixed on the resting bunny. When he got withen a few feet the wind changed, and the bunny smelled him. It shot awake and was mid-bound when Eclipse landed on top of it. His growl ripped through the snowy silence, and he looked right into the rabbit's eyes. Then he bit down on it's neck without a second thought. He mauled it until there was no chance it was still alive. Then he left it, a bloody, mauled carcass, with nothing distinguishing it from any other animal. Eclipse felt no regret. The rabbit had served it's purpose. Then he looked back at it, and he sighed. He may as well eat it. So he did, and went lemming hunting. When Eclipse came back, he had quite the few lemmings hanging from his mouth. He dropped them on the shelter floor, and merely said, "I found a lemming nest." before he walked off to a corner and curled into a ball. He was awake, just battling with himself on what he should say to Fierfly. He liked her, he liked her a lot. Just, what would he say? He sat up, nervous. He walked outside, but he looked back, silently asking Fierfly to follow him. Then he went to the side of the creek, and looked down at the water. Waiting to see if Fier would follow him.

Fierfly:
There was a moment of relief as Azi's tone gentled and a graceful smile shaped her mouth in gratitude for the attention, but there was still the overhanging worry. What was wrong? Why had Eclipse growled? Azi craned her long, elegant head to peer out the entrance of the shelter before she snapped at Eclipse's growl. Was there nothing out there? Apparently not, the he-wolf felt comfortable enough to leave them alone for a time while he went hunting. But...if there was no threat to their safety then why had he growled? No enemies to ward off...was he angry with them? Was he angry with her? Fierfly felt her ears flatten against her head and her tail try to tuck between her folded legs. What had she done? She tried to look as inconspicuous as possible and continued with a new energy to groom Azi's creamy coat to a glowing perfection.
Eclipse came back with a jaw full of lemmings, he deposited the catch where they could reach if they were hungry and curled up in a corner, looking absolutely miserable. What had she done? Was he angry or just upset? Restless he got up and went back outside again, glancing over his shoulder though the falling snow in her direction. Were his dual-colored eyes inviting her? Did he want her to come with him? She was torn between helping Azi and her wounded pride and following Eclipse. She was still nervous that she'd upset him, but she was curious. She wanted to talk with him. On the other paw she did not want a grumpy Azi feeling left out. She felt torn...to go or to stay?
"I-I need some air." she whispered in a rush to Azi and she almost tripped over her own paws getting up and dashing back out into the snow. She'd only seen winter once or twice before and she loved it. The swirling, flying flakes were so wondrous, so different and mystical, like a fairy-tale sort of thing. Things were bared in the snow, they were exposed and real, and she felt like that was what was needed. "Eclipse?" she felt her voice crack as her worry and shyness started to overtake her. "Are you alright?"
