Azrael lay halfway on the shore of the riverbank, his rear end submerged in the shallow water of the river. It was cool, but not uncomfortably so and it felt good after running for miles without really stopping. There was a large grandfather racoon sitting not far from where the wolf lay. They too perched just against the waters edge. For about ten minutes now the pale faced male watched the critter try its luck at fishing. It came close to snagging one a few times. The thought of killing this varmint crossed Azrael's mind more than once.
Killing the coon now would almost be a waste. Feeding from it wouldn't do much besides piss him off; he needed more to fuel him. So, patiently he waited. Watching through half lidded lime green eyes, waiting for the right time to strike. It wasn't much longer until the black and grey bandit finally struck gold, catching a nice sized fish in his paws. Unluckily for this thief, Azrael was watching. It was once the racoon banked the fish and was busy trying to kill it that the wolf struck.
Belly now content from devouring both coon and fish, the dark beast decided to move on now that he had more energy. His paws carried him further upstream from Kai Lake to another body of water. Azrael was a rambling man, always on the move. As one could imagine, when you travel like he does you're bound to pick up a few secrets here and there. One he'd been hearing a lot of lately had to do with whispers of some mountain. It made him curious. "Hey?!" The male barked loudly so that anyone relatively close could hear, "Is anyone here?"
OOC || Sorry this isn't the best starter, things will liven up ;)

Eclipse: Eclipse sighed, his two-sided coat shimmering in the mid-autumn sunlight. His blue-gold eyes shinning in sharp color against the midnight black, and snowy white of his fur. He was travelling with Fierfly and Azi, but Azi had left them for a bit. For this Eclipse was fine, but he missed the conversation. He was good with Fierfly, after spending the summer by the creek, Eclipse had plans to take her to the Lunar Meadow. he looked over, and smiled to himself. She was so pretty, and he knew for a fact he was in love with the flamey she-wolf. Then he heard a yell, and his ears perked. "Yes... I'm Eclipse," he said cautiously. His blue-gold eyes searching the landscape. He saw a skeleton -like wolf, not far away. He perked up, white-black colors standing out in the grass and sand of the creek bank.

Fierfly:
It was a glorious Autumn day, the warm sun keeping things pleasant, but an icy cool breeze was busy nipping at her nose, warning her of the winter to come. She was keeping pace close behind and beside Eclipse, her head even with his shoulder as he led the way down the riverbank. Azi had separated from them for a time. Whether she'd come back Fierfly wasn't entirely sure, she seemed to feel left out somehow and no longer as interested in their company. She felt her ears pin automatically in apology, even though Azi wasn't there to apologize to. She wasn't sure what she'd done to hurt Azi's feelings, but she didn't want to lose her friendship.
She caught Eclipse smiling to himself as he studied her. She bashfully ducked her head and felt her fluffy cheek0-fur threatening to fluff up even more in a blush. He had a handsome, charming smile that made her feel rather helpless over herself. He was a good wolf, caring, patient, calm, steady, loving...
Her ears - her left ear anyway, the right one was permanently folded and dead from that burning branch, pricked and then fell back as they were called out to. The owner of the voice was a young male with the most hauntingly green eyes she'd ever seen. His face and coat were patterned with...bones? She felt a cold chill run up her spine and she skittishly moved behind Eclipse, keeping him between her and the stranger. The stranger didn't seem particularly aggressive, but he did look frightening and she never knew what to think of strangers. Let Eclipse handle this one, she couldn't talk when she was nervous anyway. He'd take care of it, he always had.

There was nothing but silence in response, at least, for a while. Surly someone was around- it couldn't just be him. This whole place stank of other wolves. Taking a guess Azrael would assume this is a local hot spot. Maybe he'd caught it at a bad time? He found himself looking to the heavens, but the sky seemed clear of any storm clouds.
A strangers voice tore Azrael away from his thoughts. The one who called himself Eclipse. His green eyes drifted lazily over the male. One side of his body an inky blotch, the center had a hairline sized marking the color of Grey smoke, the other side of his body stark white. Azrael's gaze snaked back to Eclipse's blue gold gaze. Just as he opened his mouth to speak someone else showed up from. A smaller female with fiery markings marring her back and legs. She said nothing, instead cowering behind the male named Eclipse, peering from behind.
The beast chuckled softly. Green eyes flaring if only for a moment in amusement before falling flat and cold. "My name is Azrael." His voice deadpan as he approached the pair, stopping when he stood nearly two feet away. "Don't worry, I'm not a blood thirsty killer," Azrael added, glancing back to the femme, a toothy grin splaying across his maw. "Just a traveler in search of some assistance.." Gaze sweeping back to the other male, mustering up his best friendly expression. "What do ya say, scratch my back, I'll scratch yours?"

Eclipse: Eclipse glared, his ears pushed back. His blue-gold eyes looked right into his, and a low growl started as he got a bit too close. He stepped protectively infront of Fier. His black side was to the stranger, and he growled. "Well, we are in some shape to help you, depending. And back up, your scaring my friend." Eclipse was showing a bit of his darker side. He glanced back at Fier, to make sure she was there. Then he looked back at Azreal, meeting his green eyes. "Well, we can come to an agreement." Eclipse flicked his tail, ears forwards and a wired look on his face. He was mildly angry this male had the nerve to scare Fier, and that he seemed to be trying to bargin with him was not making the situation better. Eclipse turned his body to face the male strait on. His firce gaze eye to eye with the other male. "I accept your deal, but keep Fierfly out of it. I know these deals end with a possible decrease in the number of wolves by one. I don't want her to be that one. So leave her out of it, and I agree."

Fierfly:
Shy blue eyes peered cautiously around Eclipse at the stranger - Azrael as he approached. Eclipse gave him a low, warning growl when he came close enough and she felt herself want to shrink further. What did he want? The question turned out to be rather anti-climatic as he asked for some assistance. He didn't specify which left plenty of room for doubt in her mind as to his real motives for wanting to talk to them, but his voice and general posture were earnest enough for belief if she could so open her mind in that direction.
Eclipse also seemed weary. Not entirely trusting Azrael as he kept his teeth showing in a less than passive manner, but not entirely disregarding the possibility that the stranger really was just a simple traveler looking for some help. He was willing to help on the condition...she felt a touch of annoyance. Not really at Eclipse, but at herself for being such a coward that he was trying to excuse her completely. Surely if he wanted to hurt them he could have done so already - anyway, they were both older than he was and Eclipse had a power and it was two against one, he couldn't really do any harm to them even if he did turn and she wasn't about to let Eclipse run off and help a stranger by himself. Instead she crept up beside Eclipse as he faced Azrael and also took a moment to study him, though her legs shook at those haunting, bright green eyes and the dangerous, toothy smile. "What exactly do you need?" her voice was hardly above a whisper and shaking at that, but she wasn't going to let Eclipse face this stranger alone.

Taking those few steps to eat the distance between he and the pair proved to be the tri-toned male's breaking point. Eclipse shifted ever so slightly in front of his lady friend, as though to shield her. Growling lowly at Azrael who looked on at him almost disinterested in the display of aggression. Azrael remained eerily calm the entire time, waiting for his temper tantrum to end. "You would do wise to remain respectful," His voice carried an air of friendly, harmless conversation. "I will not comply to your request. Perhaps if you knew how to ask nicely I would" He gave Eclipse a grin about as friendly as a great white shark at feeding time. It was his way of saying if the brute continued down this path of rudeness Azrael would have no qualms chewing on his wind pipe once it was ripped out. He never backed up as requested. Instead, he blatantly ignored Eclipse to prove a point.
After a few moments of thought, and a glance back to his companion Eclipse eventually agreed to Azrael's offer. "You act as though I am some super villain demanding your immortal soul!" He laughed mockingly at the brute. "I wish no ill will, less you want it." Those green eyes hollow and burning as they locked onto Eclipse's blue-gold gaze.
The meek female stole a few glances Azrael's way. He winked at her. A somewhat playful mannerism. Then, she crept out from behind the safety of the aggressive two faced brute. When her eyes met him she spoke on the breath of a whisper. Azrael almost had to lean forward to catch what was said. What exactly did he need? The lupus nodded slightly as if he'd been brought back to his train of thought before it was derailed by Eclipse's aggression. "Well to tell the truth I'm not sure of the exact location of this mountain of the white wolves, and while I'd love to wonder aimlessly around until I find it I think having a guide would be wiser, don't you? Plus, I'm kind of lazy." Azrael spoke gently as if worried he may spook her if he spoke too loudly. His venomous green eyes trailed back to the other male. "Your efforts will be rewarded of course." He added, "A favor for a favor."

Eclipse: Eclipse just wasn't all that fond of Azeral. He sighed, then closed his eyes and started growing grass and flowers around his paws. Vines winded their way up his legs, and a deathly white rose grew in front of Azeral. "The mountain is to the West, follow the sun across the sky and the Pull will grow stronger." His lighter tone suggested more friendly advice. He was relenting a bit to the darker side. Eclipse could be a cunning wolf, this male had competition if he had plans. He sighed, and said, "So, are you sure you know the way?" (Sorry, low on muse/rushed)

Fierfly:
Eclipse was getting tense and mildly annoyed with Azrael. Not that she completely blamed him...but he wasn't harming them either. His looks and mannerisms were suspicious and worrying, but thus far he had made no real move to harm them and she could slowly feel her tolerance building. Slowly, like a snail crawling over a log slowly, but enough to stop shaking so badly.
Eclipse gave him directions and she felt her ears prick forward again. The Mountain was still very much a mystery to her. She'd been once and her own request for a power had been gently turned away, could she try again? No. She had no reason to return...unless Azrael clicked his tongue, reminded Eclipse that he wanted a guide and not directions and would not let them alone until they personally escorted him to the Peak. "Oh please don't let that happen." she pleaded silently, "Let him be content..."

Amusement trickled through the pale faced beast's veins at the sight of their growing annoyance. Azrael could almost taste it. Green eyes flicked down to the dark earth watching vines creep their way up and around Eclipse's body. And then before his very eyes a stark white flower arose and unfurled. "Cute." He clipped, eyes rising back to Eclipse.
At his directions Azrael let out a bone chilling clown like laugh. "Wow, are you deaf?" He responded rather rudly. Without waiting for a responce he continued. "Obviously I do not or else I wouldn't be asking for a physical guide— you know what that means right? It is part of our agreement after all..." He sneered, and then in a much more mirthful tone, "Unless you'd like to go back on your word..of course, I wouldn't advise that." His baritone vocals oozed from those lips like melted chocolate, vivid green eyes narrowing ever so slightly. Azrael was one to hold grudges, espcially if lied to.

Eclipse: Eclipse was growing more and more annoyed. "Alright then, I see no reason we can't take you to the base, but," Eclipse empishised the but, "If we go, we go up with you. Unless things change and we don't go up." His steely gaze met the male's green one. Then he turned away, eyes now on the mountain. If Azeral was going to attack, now was the time. Eclipse started walking, his ears forwards and alert. He was not going to stand around and wait, if they where going they going now, unless Fier wanted to stay. They had spent the spring and summer here, why not stay? He looked at Feir and asked "Do you want to go? It will be long, but it's a pretty enough treck."

Fierfly:
Of course he clicked his tongue and and reminded Eclipse that he wanted a guide! She'd jinxed them. "Oh why Fierfly do you have to be so paranoid and ridiculously unlucky about these sorts of things?" She groaned to herself. Azrael hadn't been acting too aggressive before, but now his friendly voice was dangerously gentle and oozing and made cold shivers run up her back and leave the fur on her ruff standing at an angle. She did not like him, she did not trust him, and she did not want to be left alone with him.
Eclipse turned for the Mountain and started walking, turning his gentle gaze to her, he asked whether she'd stay at their camp for the past few seasons or join them. There was slight panic on her part at the very idea he'd even think of leaving her there - but that would mean that she would be away from Azrael who continued to make her uneasy, so she understood the offer. "I'm not leaving you," she whispered firmly, almost even fiercely and she fell into step just a head behind and to the right of him. She peeked back over her shoulder to see if Azrael was coming and then hurried with her head down beside Eclipse.

It would seem that he finally made his point as the man changed his tune. Head would cock lightly, so slightly it may even go unnoticed. But then again, he seriously doubted that; the little female was watching his every move. Sort of annoying really. And why did they have to climb to the top with him? Azrael seemed to almost tune both the wolves out as they addressed one another. The pair started walking but Azrael didn't move until they were two feet ahead; may as well let them have a head start. Ears would twitch catching tones of hushed whispers. Yet he was unable to understand what was said. As she peeked back around at him Azrael raised a single brow.
