Amora was making one last round of the valley before she officially settled into her home at Secluded Sunrise. She still has to meet Epicenter once he came back from visiting Sheba. However, the black shewolf wanted to explore one last biome, the redwoods. The towering trunks loomed above her like the future versions of the small trees in the Sapling Grove. Their bark was wrinkled and folded, dark red. The sepia colors were washed in a frosty sheen, as it was winter. However, the heavy, evergreen canopy, seemingly miles above her, blocked too much snow from blanketing the earth below. And so the daughter of Blaise trod on the frozen earth, paws not yet frozen. Unbeknownst to her, a pit lie ahead; a pit with whose top was precariously covered in a camouflage of dirt, twigs, and fodder. The sunset swirls on her coat shone a glimpse of color in the dark, chilly atmosphere. Amora, the three-legged wolf held herself regally, proudly, with a glint in her deep violet eyes.

Kodiac: Kodi was asleep at that moment. He was well camouflaged, with a snow white stripe running down his back. He could have passed for a snowy pile from a certain angle. Then he stretched, yawned with such a wide gape it seemed like his mouth was split in two. Then he started to walk, ever so stiffly, until he got into the rhythm of walking and broke into a brisk trot, his dark brown fur glinting. He spotted a black she-wolf and he stopped, unsure about what to do, then walked up and smiled, turning his head to the right so she could not see his face. When his paws hit the ground within a few feet of her, as he was about to say hello, he felt the ground give out under his paws. He yelped, as he fell for a half second and thumped on the ground.

A sudden movement caught the shewolfs deep purple gaze, a movement accompanied by the musky scent of wolf. As she whirled around to confront the creature, she became confused. Where was it? With careful curiosity the three legged shewolf approached, taking a hurried step back as she saw a pit yawn open in front of her. That hurried, uncoordinated movement offset her delicate balance and the black shewolf fell, claws scrabbling, a Yelp emanating from her throat as she tumbled backwards landing with an 'oof' at the bottom of the pit, the wind knocked out of her. Opening her eyes she struggled to regain her breath and then she began to process her surroundings...so that's where the wolf went.

Kodiac: Kodi yelped as the she-wolf landed on him. She had landed on his legs, and it had hurt! There was a lot of pain to go around, his scarcely protected eye was pressed in the dirt, and it hurt a lot. He peeled his head off the dirt floor and got to his big paws, one eye closed-ish. He looked at the purple eyed, black female who was in the pit with him. "Well, that was quite the entrance." His brown eyes had glittering kaleidoscope patterns, framed by a silver face and brown fur. This female was more black, with purple eyes that reminded him of a flower. She was beautiful, but he had other things to worry about. Like getting out of this pit. He woofed, his Siren making his bark echo loudly. It was a good way to find out if they could find somewhere to get out of the cold. Unfourtonitly,no luck. His face was feeling the nip of a fierce cold of wither. He looked at the female, ear perked for and sounds. She seemed like she was trying to figure out her surroundings. "So, analyses?" he asked jokingly, eyeing her leg, or lack of. He couldn't say much, he was missing half his face and a ear.

Amora groaned slightly before struggling to her three paws. It was quite a struggle as she couldn't really see, her eyes were swimming with as many colors as her pelt. Once the dizzying dots cleared she registered the wolf before her. He was a brownish wolf, his coat thick, handy for this time of year. However the most striking thing about him was his face. Or...lack thereof. Half of his face was shredded into red stripes of scarred tissue, creating an un desirable effect in his otherwise handsome looks. However, unlike most wolves, Amora was not appalled at his ghastly appearance. Perhaps she, of all wolves in the valley could relate the most. Her ugly stub of a leg was still hate, making her an odd wolf. A wolf to be persecuted by those stronger than her. Luckily she hadn't found a wolf physically capable of taking her down. Then again, if most wolves knew of her ever growing prowess with plants they wouldn't dare lay a paw on so much as a hair of hers. She was surprised, however, of his joking manner. This intrigued her... "Well...I'm in a rather deep pit with no obvious exits with a complete stranger." For now, she would keep her abilities unknown to him, to see how he would react, after all she could simply use vines and roots to elevate her back to the surface. Or even carve out steps with her roots.

Kodiac: Kodi sighed, the gaping hole in his lip giving it a echoing quality. "Well, my name is Kodiac, but most just call me Kodi. And your name is?" He asked, brown eyes meeting the purple gaze of the female. She was hiding something, but so was he. He was hiding a story and she was hiding something he would very much like to know. He looked up, and the pit's entrance yawned above him. He reared up on his hind legs, his nose a full tail-length below the entrance. He growled, powermark glowing as his growl was amplified. He got back on all fores and started pacing, his throbbing eye and the fact he was suck in a pit making him stressed and cranky. When a wolf who weighed in at around 145lbs was cranky, it was not a good thing. Trying to calm himself down, he sat down and glared up at the sky. Then, in a frustrated yell, he yelled, "Oh, pick on the brown wolf why don't ya?! I've suffered enough now, can I go back to being normal now?" The sarcasm was dripping in his voice, but he wasn't done. "First the parents, then the bear, and now being stuck in a pit with a three-legged she wolf! Can I just go back to my old life?" His bitterness showed, but he felt much better after that vent. Then he turned to the she-wolf. "So," he said, forcing cheeriness, "Any plans for getting out of here? We could do a ladder."

Kodiac was a talker...Amora withdrew her head slightly as he abruptly introduced himself. He met her eyes with full brown eyes that seemed a tad bit suspicious, as if he suspected she was hiding something. They were complete strangers, of course she was hiding something! She couldn't help with being slightly exasperated at her deduction. What was she supposed to do? Share her life story of adventure and woe with a strange wolf?! Amora huffed, ready to respond. But before she could he babbled on. All of the sudden he cursed the sky for 'picking on him.' Then he proceeded to give her a snapshot of a few 'terrible' instances in his life before blatantly complaining about being stuck with her. If he knew who she was and what she could do he would be begging for mercy at her paws, perhaps even fawning over her. His sonic growls and barks grew increasingly annoying as they persisted. Once this 'Kodi' was finished whining he switched his tone of voice and complete demeanor to ask her for her opinion of getting out. Needless to Say, Amora was offended by this make. She had been intrigued at first, but from what little she had seen of him she had gathered that he was a wallowing in self pity and wanted to show off and put down others to get attention and grow his self esteem. Perhaps Amora could twist his pleas to fit her likes.
The wolfess smirked at her thoughts before looking him straight in the eye. "First of all, how dare you speak of me in such context. Secondly, you don't even know who I am. Third, you are an insolent whiny brat and I will put up with your complaining no longer." the daughter of Blaise nearly glowed as thick Redwood roots curled around her legs and croaked and groaned as they grew, hoisting her above his head and into the ground above. They quickly shriveled and fell limp back into the ground from whence they came. "Apologize." She demanded, looking down on the wolf below.

Kodiac: Kodiac stumbled back, tripping over his overlong legs and pressed himself against the edge of the pit. Eyes wide with a sudden fear, he whimpered. She was far more powerful then he, and frankly she had just gotten scary. Still, once she was up there, he forced himself off the wall. "I'm sorry." he whimpered, softly. Without the Siren his voice was ehcoy and soft. He turned away from her, and reared back up on his hind legs. In a attempt to jump out, he got his front paws out of the pit. Scrambling, he pulled himself out up to his chest with surprising strength. His back paws scrambling for purchases on the side of the pit.

Amora gazed down as the wolf started, his long legs causing him to trip hazardously. He seemed more than shocked by an out burst of her own. He apologized softly before leaping up to scramble at the ledge with his dirtied paws. The pretty shewolf approached his scratching paws and wrapped vines around them. She looked unsympathetically into his apologetic eyes with her own smirking violet orbs. Her power mark glowed, her exertion barely making a nick in her prowess. "Now...tell me what you'll do for me if I lift you out...." Her vines squeezed his paws with dangerous playfulness. She would get him out, she wasn't evil. But he didn't know that. She would use his vulnerability to gain a debtor. The vines whispered as they grew, stretching over his torso like a spidery cage of gentle green. A harness if you will. Amora wasn't cruel, she just wasn't gentle. Her experiences had carved her clay spirit into something rough, battle worn. Yet her war was only beginning. And she would need some wolves on her side. And she felt like she needed a mate. For love? Perhaps. For strength? Deifinutely.

Kodiac: Kodiac started clawing the earth, and then he stopped dead. A snow had started to fall, and a wind had started blowing. A cold wind. "I'll save you, get back in the pit! There is a blizzard coming!" He looked back at her and tried to drag himself back in. He looked up at her pleadingly, as he tried despretly to get back in the pit. Once he got out of the vines, he fell back into the pit, hard. A sicking 'Thunk!' resounded in the dark pit when he landed. Staggering to his paws, then looked up at her like she was nuts. She had three legs, and a Blizzard was coming! Was she going to come? Kodi growled softly, the yelled up, "You don't stand a chance out there! This is your best bet to survive. If you have forgotten, you have three legs. This is a Forest Blizzard, they are fierce and cold, but mostly Windy. They would topple you over! They can topple ME over!" Kodi hopped that the threat of getting blown over would scare some sence into her, but just then he heard just such a wind rush over the pit.

Amora had loosened her grip on the wolf and he wriggled from her vines and dropped back into the pit. His frantic voice echoed up from the dark chamber as wind whistled over her sleek fur. How could she forget the fact that she had brutally ripped off her mangled leg in the ruins of Abeytu? Was he stupid?? But He was right, a storm was blowing through, and without any underbrush, she was awfully exposed. She stared blankly at him, woody vines retracting from the pit, and instead stretching over the top like an organic grate. They twisted and snapped as they grew, Amora pouring energy into the effort. She was indeed naturally talented at Botany, and thus her level one power seemed much more controllable and powerful. The strong she wolf stepped onto the grate as the vines weaved themselves together and hardened into structurally sound branches. The anchoring vines stretched, still new and green, lowering the platform down the dark shaft. At last her head went below the surface of the forest floor. Her platform was pressed against each wall of the irregular pit, trapping this Kodiac wolf underneath her. He could see her through little squares about the size of her eye. Amora was perfectly calm as the wind howled, bringing forth the first flurries of the storm. With another burst of energy, thicker, flat roots and vines shot up from the ground around the pit, looping up and over her head and sheltering the pit in their strong, flat arches. Only five spaces were left for icy shafts of light to pour through the top, allowing the shewolf to see and appreciate her view of the wolf below. "I do not take orders from anyone but my alpha. And even then, only if I approve of her decision."

Kodiac: Kodi looked up at her, brown eyes watching ever move she made and not liking it one bit. When she made a platform that moved down, he was impressed but then noticed it was coming down on HIM. It was pressing on his head and only remaining ear was pressed down. He glared up at her, suddenly not very friendly. "Lady, it's not like that. I grew up in the winter here. I know how to survive, and I kept myself, my siblings, and a friend alive." He curled his fluffy tail over his paws, and glared up at the she-wolf through the shafts of light. He was glad he was under the net, but the feel of the wood on the bare skin of his face was odd, a new feeling he actually liked. He tried rubbing the wood, but that hurt. The scratching was annoying and left a few red marks, so he stopped. If something hurts, stop doing that. He went back to glaring at Amora. He was liking her less and less but still he felt like he should protect her. She reminded him of his sister, and his two brothers. She reminded him of himself the most, independent and tough. Though she had sass that he had never really had.

She wasn't pressing him down, though he tempted her too. He was quite possibly the most verve grating wolf she had ever met. The never ceasing drive if his immature whine ringing in her ears. "Well what is it like then?" Amora glowered and snapped as she flipped her fluffy black tail over her muzzle. Her amethyst eyes boring into the dark dirt of the wall. After a moment of silence and the muted white noise of howling wind, she spoke. "Are you cold?" After quite literally cooling down she was having slight second guesses about punishing the male. It seemed as if he had been through a lot. After all wasn't she cursing the world after having her leg mutilated and gnawed off.
The wind howled and screamed like the souls of forgotten mothers and lonely pups as it ripped over her little cage. The effort of keeping the foliage above her head was enough to make her sleepy. But she would persevere. She still had a conversation to continue with 'Kodiac.' Kodiac the so very unfortunate who is quite inconsiderate to a three legged wolf's sore spot. Amora was a strong willed, wolf with a keen eye and a sharp mind. At times it seemed as if nothing could hurt her. But obviously she was not invincible. Which ticked her off, especially when strangers stared or cursed the heavens for them being stuck with her. It hurt. It really did. Like hot locust thorns puncturing her chest.

Kodiac: Kodi feel silent. He remembered nearly freezing to death as a young pup, and hunting when he could barely walk. He really hated talking about his puphood, because it had never really existed. Being abandoned as soon as you could walk was hard, and Kodi being the largest of his litter was the one chosen to raise the other three be default. Still, he replied, "Deathly cold." He shut his mouth then as much as possible and refused to talk more. The cold was nipping at his face, but when she asked if he was cold, he looked up at the black she-wolf. Brown met amethyst, and Kodi sighed a little. "It's a little chilly." Kodi looked up at Amora. His right eye was bloodshot from the rough landing and being thumped onto dirt. It almost stung worse then when the grizzly had taken his face. Almost. Then he looked back down, trying to clear his head. This she-wolf was infuriating, she was driving him nuts! He was hoping she would be like the few she-wolves he had ever met. Amiable, chatty, nice... Kodi had honestly no idea what a girl was supposed to be like. From what he had found out, he was really bad with girls when he was not freezing to death. Kodi started hmming to himself, thinking. He lay down, falling asleep. The snow that reached him lay on his overcoat, and he started thinking. A pack may be nice, once he got his life in order again. Once he worked up the courage to go back to his family. Tears welled up, and one made the trek down the side of his face. It froze against the fur, much like when he had been younger. At just about three but not quite, he had to be stronger. Thoughts of home could not stay, but they persisted. Jess smiling, Toki and Flint playfighting. Iallo chatting away. Their den in the ruins. All he wanted was to go home. To see his brothers and sister again. To fall in love, have pups, live! Kodi found himself dreaming, and he was with his family. His brothers, and sister. Playing in a summer meadow, the four pups sent dandelion fluff everywhere and they were happy. He wished it could last forever, but he would have to wake up sometime. He just hated waking up.
Kodi aroused himself from the brife nap, and looked up at Amora, his silver face expressionless as he wondered if she had any family, and if she wanted to get back to them.

Amora lay deep in thought as the silent minutes slid by, the wind wailing above her. She thought over the recent conversation and lightly scolded herself for such rusty social skills. Kodiac seemed like a troubled wolf...perhaps if he shared his experience she could see a gentler side to him. A side that wasn't spontaneously annoying. Perhaps he was more like her than she thought. Perhaps she might recruit him into Secluded Sunrise. She always needed more allies. The more paws on her side, the stronger her influence would grow. Amora had her entire life planned out. Loose, but planned.
She would like to gain favor with the Secluded Sunrise wolves, rise through the ranks, perhaps Beta. After that happened she would take a small huddle of the pack wolves with her to inhabit a small territory. After all, Blaise's territory couldn't support all the neutral wolves in the valley. Honovi was weak but so ancient no dared to venture into the barrens. It was funny really, that the major players in the valley were the medium sized packs, the large territories were virtually ghost shells.
"So...erm...mind telling me about that scar?" She turned her head , violet eyes practically unseen in the darkness. Her ears were flat as her power mark glowed green; the wooden net softened and they snaked upwards to strengthen the cover above. Amora sat on the opposite side of Kodiac, unsure how her 'friendly' gesture would be received.
