Mateo was searching. Searching for a family. Searching for acceptance. Searching for a pack. He needed some place where he wasn't an outcast, or at least wasn't the only outcast. And so he entered the valley in hopes of befriending the multitude of wolves. Perhaps then he would find a home. And so the tan and black wolf wandered through the meadow. Hundreds of little white flower buds were scattered about the large meadow. He had made a beeline directly to the heart of the valley, ready to start his search there.

Mateo was an outcast, not for the regular reasons wolves were shunned. Where he originated from social class and all of your life revolves in what traits you carried. What fur color, what body build, and the like. Those with the best traits were highly valued in the community. Mateo himself was of a higher social standing, a strong male with good breeding. He was respected until they all found out...it happened while hunting, he reviewed a scrape from a deer's antler. It was small, for normal wolves it would've scabbed up and healed without a scar. However, Mateo had a condition, a condition that would erase what value and future he had in store. His wound bled profusely and refused to clot. He was brought to the wisest elder in the pack by his betrothed. And he pronounced him a hemophiliac. Such a scandal it was. Marta, his betrothed, refused to be mates and his place in the hierarchy withered down below the rest. It was strange, he did anything for attention; the wolves he grew up with didn't even look at him without pity or a sneer.

But Mateo wasn't here to mope, no here was here in search of hope.

Nico:
Nico still had trouble believing that he had two sons. Two! He and Cal had gone on without Justice, who had opted to stay where they had been. His dark silver fur contrasted with his son's brown, white and silver fur. Their eyes, however, matched. Light blue with silver in the center. Like father, like son, he thought. The two wolves traveled in content silence, walking side by side. Nico was happy, he had a true family. His lovely sons, both strong and handsome and his true heirs. He could never ask for any better pups, never in a million life times.

Nico perked up from absent minded thoughts. He smelled a wolf, and he looked around. He spotted a wolf, a black wolf with a tan splotch and vine markings. Nico whacked Cal with his tail and gestured with his head, watching the wolf intently. His dark silver fur glittered in the sunlight, and he cursed his colors softly. He also couldn't see all the green, being green-blue colorblind and, at one point, blind. He approached carefully, watching the male with a unnervingly silverish blue gaze. Both wolves watched the male's every move.

Lexi wandered the area alone, and without anyone to call family. Even though she was kind and always happy, no one wanted her as family. She wasn't welcome in any pack, because she was an outcast. The thought of it still unnerved her, and pushed to become nicer all the while. When you didn't have a family, you had to keep hunting until you found one.

The female pushed her way through a bramble, and was surprised when she saw two - no three! - wolves ahead. She perked up immediately. She set a happy smile on her face, and took a deep breath. Today was the day. She could feel it in her. Honestly, she wasn't going to take no for an answer.

"Hello there! My name is Lexi! What are your three names?" she called out in enthusiastic greeting, and waved her tail happily behind her. She approached the wolves swiftly, so that they couldn't walk away.

Mateo stared up at the sky, watching the gigantic poofy clouds wander by. Their white mounds shifted shape constantly. Quite like his life, ever changing. His dream like trance was was broken when a chipper yip sounded in the peaceful plain. Mateo lowered his arched neck to look upon the advancing wolves. A young black and teal steal bounded towards him, the source of the bark he was sure. Two males who had yet to speak were watching from a little ways away. Nervously Mateo put on a brave face and stood, waving his tan tail in salute. "Hey!" He winked at her with a charming smile. He wasn't sure what customs and cultures the wolves of this mountain had, but a wink and a grin was never a bad thing. "It's Mateo," Then he lowered his voice so only she could hear. "But you can call me Teo if you like."

Nico:
Nico cocked his head, then Cal started making his way forwards as well. Nico sighed. "My name is Nico, and this is my son Cal." Nico started advancing on the male, his silver fur glinting in the sunlight from the clouds. Cal was a bit ahead of his father, silver tipped ears forward and alert. Nico stopped about two tail lengths from the male, blue eyes glaring into the other wolf. Nico was in a good mood, though he was officially Evil he considered himself more neutral at that moment, he just had been very busy. He was planning the Outcasts at the moment, and he was wondering if these two would be interested in joining.. Nico tried to smile, but it looked wired. Nico had to get used to smiling a bit more..
Nico looked at the female, and inclined his head respectfully. The older male had seen a lot, and that had taught him the lessons having a family would have. Though, he did want to know why they were out here. Wolves didn't frequent the Lunar Meadow often, why would they be here if they weren't looking for someone? Or something?

Lexi smiled warmly at the male wolf. She flicked an ear and inclined her head at his words. "Well meet, Teo." she said kindly. She was his friend already! This was going so well, she was going to have a family by the end of the day. Her tail wagged happily as she day-dreamed about having a family that cared about, and having a family she could raise. She sighed dreamily, and realized her tail was wagging so fast it was stirring up the dirt on the ground. Lexi forced her tail to still, and she looked at the two males you had entered the scene.

"Well met Nico, and Cal." she said respectively. She was surprised no one else was saying wlll met. In the brief time she was in a family, she had learned to always say well met. Not saying it was considered rude. Her tail-tip flicked in wonder. Had these wolves near heard of saying well met? What a strange and terrible community these wolves must be raised in.

"I am just going to come right out and say it. I am roaming this area in search of a pack, I was kicked out of my old one by my own family, for being too happy." she informed them. "What are you three roaming this area for?"

Mateo wagged his tail tentatively, still slightly intimidated by the two males, however young Lexi's bubbly personality made it much easier to feel relaxed. The males introduced themselves as Nico and Cal before falling eerily silent once more. With a sideways smile, Mateo began his part of the conversation. "Well, Miss Lexi," He addressed the shewolf, although occasionally directing his voice towards Nico and Cal. "I came to this strange valley to find a home. A pack of sorts." His tan coat fluffed up as he didn't include his back story or condition. Those particular pieces of information would be saved for more compassionate ears and well known hearts.

He wasn't sure how things were done in this valley, but he sure hoped that there was s group of wolves willing to accept him and value him.

Nico:
Nico flicked a silver ear, listing. So they both wanted a pack. "Well, I came here in search of wolves willing to join a pack. The Outcasts. Wolves who like myself cannot fit in anywhere else." And the sales pitch. Cal sniffed.

"Dad, you need to work on that."

"I know Cal, I know." Nico sighed as he put a paw over his head. Being social was so hard, especially after so many years of wanting nothing but solitude. Staying away from interactions meant that he didn't have to deal with questions and wolves who treated him like he would break at any time. Now that he could clearly see, he didn't have to deal with that anymore. But the amount of scars on his body still raised questions. From the ones on his face to the divots on his neck and left shoulder to a wide one over his back leg. He had led a very rough life, and it had left it's marks on him. These wolves were less scared then him or even Cal. Cal had a very nasty looking scar over the bridge of his nose and another over his right shoulder.
