Mauku: Even after two years, he still had issues with being blind. He knew he should have come to terms with it by now, but it was hard.
The limp was what slowed him down the most, it gave him a hobble. He hated the hobble. Growling stiffly, still sore from the two years spent in the work camp the Argentums had forced him and Beijing into. Mauku's claws were still warn down to the point they were useless, and his body ached from all the walking and limping. He was infuriated, he used to adore going fast. Now he couldn't, mostly do to the fact he was blind.
Ao nuzzled her uncle, and he nuzzled her back.
"Uncle, you have to slow down. You are still hurt, and we are in a safe place now." Ao said, and he felt her blue eyes on his dull gold ones. "I cannot, dear Ao. Only when we are dead are we truly safe, and death is not a option. So safety is not a option." Mauku said, issuing some words of wisdom. Ao called it the Daily Wisdom, and when her mother and other uncle had been with them they had found it amusing. Ao did not take this well. "Well, to avoid death, you must rest. Your body will wear out and you will die, so if you don't want to be safe then take a rest and let your body recover." Ao's voice was stern, and Mauku bowed his head. "Fine, but only for the night." "It's midnight." "Less time, the sooner we go the better." Ao seemed to have no comeback to that, so Mauku smiled smugly and lay down. Immediately he fell asleep, finding the exhaustion overwhelming.
Ao: Ao knew her uncle was stubborn, but even she was surprised. He knew he had to rest at some point.
Ao sighed as she watched the ragged black wolf sleep. She herself was tired, but she found herself missing her mother and brothers. She looked up at the stars, so many and so bright that night with no moon. Her large ears were up, and she felt tears prick at her eyes. She looked down at her dark silver paws. Black claws glinting in the starlight, she looked at her uncle's worn and dull claws. Then at her silver coat. She cursed her father silently. He may be her father, but he was one of them! The wolf that had done this to the closest thing to a father she had ever had. Her growl failed to awaken the exhausted old male beside her, but alerted anyone nearby to her presence.

Moonlight had been strolling the empty terrain, and his silver pelt glowed brightly in the starlight. It was a beautiful night tonight, and the male hadn't found the time to fall asleep. He wanted to explore. He also wanted to get as far away from his family as possible, but the loyal part of him urged him to go back. But he couldn't.
The male perked up as he heard a low growl near him. His tail-tip flicked behind him as he turned slowly to try and find the culprit. It was most definitely a female, because the growl was higher then his. Then again, he could just have a really low growl. Moonlight searched the rocky terrain for any sign of life, but all he found were a few bones.
As he went around the nearest boulder, he saw her. The she-wolf was staring up at the stars, and her pelt was bathed in a beautiful silver starlight. The tom trotted down to her, and he was carefully to keep his distance. "Hello there, miss! My name is Moonlight, or Moony." he informed her with a smile that he hoped was charming. He saw the male behind her, who was obviously sleeping the night away.

Ao: Ao was startled to find another wolf. A silver wolf, like her. That meant one thing, he was of the Argentum pack. Snarling, widened her stance and prepared to defend her sleeping uncle. "I am Ao, daughter of the son of your alpha. Leave us be or face the anger of the Tsurīrainpakku." Her snarl was not a micky mosy one, it was meant to scare him off. Though it betrayed that she was scared. He said his name, and Ao lowered her stance. "Well... Moony, who sent you? Centurion? Theo? Kasier?" she shuddered saying her grandfather's name, but she wasn't sure if he still lived or not. He could have sent this male. He might just be acting friendly because she was silver. It was also dark out, so he could have been other colors. She just didn't care. He looked silver and she hated silver.
Ao moved over as her uncle seemed to wake up to the commotion and raised his head. He still seemed groggy, and looked around despite knowing it was useless to a blind wolf. Ao, ever the protector, glared at Moony. Only then did she spot that he was not silver, but a more grey color. With some kind of lavender color.
Ao stopped all movement. "Um... What is that color? On your face, um, is that some kind of battle paint?" She cocked her head, now knowing he was not Argentum. He was too dark, not even her grandfather had been that dark in silver color, and he had been almost grey. His eyes...
Ao tripped over herself standing still.
His eyes were lavender! A wolf with lavender eyes! Ao had never seen or heard of such a thing, she had always considered her eyes to be the most unnatural color, but lavender?!
Ao turned away, stumbled a few feet muttering, "Rabendā..." (Lavender) and fell. Leaving her uncle to explain.
Mauku: Mauku had been having a very bad dream.
He didn't want to remember it, he didn't want to even think about it.
Then a snarl woke him up, and groggily he woke up. Dull gold eyes roamed around, out of a reflex that was ingrained in his black body. Hearing a conversation, he didn't make a sound. Then Ao seemed to fall to the ground after muttering "Lavender..." Mauku tried to figure it out, and stood shakily. Three legs made getting up difficult, and his dull gold eyes staring at nothing. Instead of the normal black pupils, his were white. That was what he had been dreaming about, if fact.
He yawned widely, cocking his head. "Don't worry about her, she just has never seen..I'm guessing lavender. Whatever that color is. We are new to the valley, I don't think she expected wolves like you. The Forbidden Valley has always been a source of wonder to wolves of the Eastern Mountains." He paused, smiled, and waited for Moony to reply.

Moonlight watched the two eagerly, wondering if he had impressed the beautiful she-wolf. Suddenly, she jumped up and yowled at him. The male bristled and stepped back, his eyes wide with shock. "Look miss, I didn't intend to seem as though I'd harm you I-" he was cut off by her question of who sent him. He tilted his head ever so slightly. He was so confused words couldn't describe what emotions he was feeling. "No one sent me! I came here of my own will to escape my family," he said, glad to be able to finish a sentence.
"It is my markings? I am a purple and grey wolf you know." he informed her with a half smile. Then she stumbled, and Moonlight rushed over to grab her by her scruff. He gently set her down on the ground before whipping around to face the elder.
"Uh, ok. Well, I am very scared for her well-being, and scared for my own. Please don't eat me," he said the statement rather calmly, despite the nervousness that was floating in his chest. "What is your name?"

Narci;
The silver light of the moon was in contrast with the shimmering golden fur of quietly trotting male. Though he much preffered sunlight (it made his coat look far better), the moonlight had it's own way of making him glow. That night he had mistakenly found his way into a barren, almost in-hospitable landscape after coming down from his visit with Sheba. He wasn't lost, for he knew where to go to get back to the Secluded Sunrise land, but it was the getting there that was the bother. He looked down at his right shoulder as he travled. Ever since drinking that bottle that Sheba had given him, the fur there had changed colour. It wasn't the actual tattoo that was giving him trouble—it was that it was a different, lighter shade of purple than his ear, eye-patch, socks, and tail-tips. Much less royal. What sort of a self-respecting wolf walked around with clashing colours?
After trying to push the dramatic air-elemental tattoo from his mind, he came upon a trio of wolves. The wind had been in his favour, and they didn't seem to be aware of his presence yet. The female was upset about something and she fainted, the grey wolf seemed to try and help her, and...horror. The oldest, most haggared wolf Narci had ever seen was there as well, and he seemed to have just woken up. He had three legs, blank eyes, and his fur, oh his fur! Narci swallowed hard, trying not to focus on the bedraggled black fur of the elder wolf. He needed to be calm. It wasn't like being near him would change his own fur... right? In a panic, Narci realized he had to pass the trio to get back to pack-land. Aside from threatening his beautiful coat, he really didn't want to frighten them by surprising them—it was rare to see any other wolf out in the Barrens, let alone a meeting of four.
Then, an idea came to him. What better time to practice his new gift? He planted his feet, and focused his mind on the new connection with the air he felt. It was tiring, learning to use his mind in a new way, but soon enough his tattoo started to glow silver and the wind, very subtly, changed direction. He manipulated the air currents to send his scent over to the other wolves, thereby announcing his presence in the most casual way possible. They would think he had done nothing and merely saw him before he arrived. Narci was still a ways off and they wouldn't be able to see his glowing tattoo, so he was confident that none of them would notice his power mark and become frightened.

Mauku: Mauku's smile faded at the mention of eating another wolf. He seemed nice, but Mauku wasn't sure that the male knew the weight of something like that. He had come close to being eaten many times, and you always knew it. "That is nothing to joke about, Moonlight." Mauku's eyes, though unseeing, were turned in the general direction of Moonlight and he did not seem happy. Half tail still, he walked over to Ao and nuzzled her. She was asleep, that was good. "Don't worry about her, she's her father's daughter." It was slightly to himself, not fully meant of Moonlight to overhear. Mauku got back unsteadily to his three paws, and raised his head.
It was one of those moments Mauku despised the Argentums for all they had done, and what their cruelty had done to him and so many others. They had taken his leg and half his tail, then his sight, then tore his dignity and pride to shreds.
This was pushed out of his mind by the sent of the wind. It was unfamiliar, and Mauku lowered his head in a defensive pose. He would take on any aggressors, but he would not attack right off the bat as the smell was not one of the Argentums. His pose was almost casual, like he was tired maybe.
Mauku had had enough of the suspense and called "Who are you, Stranger?".
Ao: Ao had fallen asleep, and was having dreams filled with lavender.
It was freaky.
Ao was finaly jumped awake for the craziness by a new smell of the wind. Hauling her self to her paws, she saw a golden wolf. Ao felt herself jump a little. So many colors! He was actually... Sorta handsome.... Ao shook her head, scolding herself. No time to think about romance, they needed to get moving once day broke. But that coat... Ao felt herself blush under her fur. Blue eyes glittering a little, she was silent and waited for the stranger to announce himself. Her silver tail swishing.

Beijing almost let out a cry of relief as he recognized Mauku and Ao. He had been following their trail for days, having escaped from the Argentum's pack shortly after his brother and their niece. But Beijing stopped, shrouded by a convieniently place brush, as a silver wolf approached the weary pair. He let out a low snarl and tensed, but the stranger, who introduced himself as Moonlight, seemed friendly enough. Besides, Ao could take care of herself if she needed to. He snorted at the sight of an attractive young wolf padding into the clearing, and at Mauku's question, he saw no better time than to step into full view in a patch of moonlight. "Well, it's been a while, but I hope I'm not that strange to you," he commented lightly, his heart soaring as he was able to see his brother full on. He took another step forward and cursed under his breath. He had been ignoring the rock in his paw for so long, and here it was, catching up to him.

Light purple eyes scanned the clearing. The male approaching from behind him had no hesitation. Moonlight scrambled for words, but words just didn't want to come. He froze, realizing how much he was fidgeting. There was no word to be nervous, he could easily take this three legged elder if needed, but Moonlight really didn't want things to come to that. "Yes, who are you?" he seconded the elder, glad to have finally found his voice. It always chose the worst times to start functioning again. Then again, time had an ironic sense of humor. He yelped in surprise as another tom jumped out from no where. "Ok. Who knows who? I am so confused!" he grumbled, coming to stand from his crouching position. This was becoming very complex. @brightfeather @pittypat Meds

Narci;
The haggared elder asked him pointedly who he was. Then, the other male he had seen seconded the demand. Narci tossed his mane, as if answering was beneath him, but he smiled. His sharp teeth glittered in the light of the moon, but in a nonthreatening way (like Narci would ever risk getting in a fight and ruining his coat—or worse, his face). He still kept his distance from the old one. "Narci," He said simply and with no explanation, the non-rhoticity of his speech more noticable than ever in the chilly evening. The female awoke then as well, rather jumpily, and fixed Narci with her blue eyed stare. He watched her face change from startled to fascinated, and then the ever-predictable blush coloured her features and she dropped her eyes. He flashed her his most winning smile, all hints of cockiness and smugness suddenly gone. He knew how to play to his audience.
Then a male Narci hadn't seen, who smelled like perhaps a reletive, ran into the group. Narci lifted his slender brow and looked over the growing party with a raised chin and slightly downcast eyes. His long tail drifted through the night air behind him, and he blinked those liquid-gold orbs slowly. He knew the slow blinks were what really made him look good. Even compared to the silver wolf, Narci's very golden fur was a much richer colour. He revelled in the feeling of being the prettiest one in the group.
"I don't know anyone," Came Narci's cool, enticing voice in reply to the male's outburst. He eyed Moonlight and smiled once more.

Ao: This was getting out of hand, she was getting confused and nervous. This new wolf was golden and.. Oh stars, he was purple! Stars, this was getting so crazy! She covered her eyes with her leg. "Oh my stars oh my stars... Purple! Gold! Lavender! Oh my stars, can this day get any crazier?" It could, matter of fact. Her uncle popped out from a bush. "Uncle!" she said brightly, rushing over. At last there was one wolf who was a normal color! "Uncle, where is Mother? Did you get separated? Oh stars, this evening is so insane!" Ao sat down, clearly tried and trying to wrap her head around what the heck was going on.
Moonlight asked who knew who, so she responded with, "Mauku and Beijing are my uncles on my mother's side." It was short but it worked. "My name is Ao, it means Blue in Japaneses." She raised her head in a elegant pose, her silver coat glittering in the moon in a way only silver could. Her willowy build added to this, and she tried to ignore Narci. The only issue, he was sparkly. She herself was a much more luster, but he was actually sparkly. She found it impossible not to look at him. To add on that he was handsome, and the purple.. It was very eye-catching. Oh stars, why did he have to be so handsome?
Mauku: Mauku flicked his ear in annoyance with the two young males. Then Beijing popped up and he him self was getting confused. "Thankyou, Narci, for answering me. And Beijing, it is very nice to see you again my friend." He tried to not think too hard about all of this, but it was hard because all the smells were assaulting his nose and all the voices were sounding and he was pretty sure if he had his sight he would be like Ao.
"Okay, so I'm Mauku. This is my niece Ao, and my brother Beijing." He tried to keep the explanation of who he knew short as to not overload poor Moonlight's brain. Or his own for that matter.

Beijing's green eyes were placid as he surveyed the clearing. He didn't know what sort of flowers those wolves had rolled in to dye their furs such vivid shades and frankly, he was uninterested.
Beijing's tail stilled as Ao's questions turned to the subject of her mother. His sister. His jaw parted, but no sound came out. He closed his mouth, flattened his ears and forced out, "Yes. We got separated. I don't know where she is. I'm so sorry, Ao-"
He tried to take an apologetic step towards her, but the stone in his paw gave a sharp bite of pain. Growling, he lowered his head, licking his paw until the pebble unlodged itself. Then he straightened. "Yes, I... well... I have been watching from that bush for a time now," he admitted. "But what I don't understand is why we're still standing around. Is this your territory?" he asked Moonlight, a sharp edge working into his tone.

Purple eyes cast around the gathering crowd. The handsome young wolf who entered the scene introduced himself as Narci. A strange name, but that could be worried about later. He transferred his gaze to Beijing, who was still blabbering about being separated. Next he turned to the elder, who explained the situation nicely. He bowed his head in thanks. "Okay, now that that's cleared up, what happened here?" he asked, gesturing towards the three relatives. "By no means is this my territory. I'm just a wolf with an open heart and open mind. I saw these two and went to try to make conversation.. but Ao passed out when she saw my pelt.." he frowned, still confused about the reasoning behind her passing out. "In fact, I'm rather intrigued to hear the story behind why me and Narci's pelt surprised her. I mean, my mom has a pink pelt.. and silver isn't that rare," he explained, bringing himself to a sitting position. "Don't worry, I love long stories," Meds@pittypat @brightfeather
