Bane:
A staggering jolt went through the shadow dome that Bane was holding together. His golden eyes flashed over to Nyx as he felt her presence leap away from his shadow senses. A short display of relief washed over her demeanor before she returned to her usual dark looks, and in that moment Bane felt the added strain it put on his mind. He usually preferred the slow lurking manipulation of the shadows instead of the harsh realeses, so he clenched his jaw and fought the pain that was hammering in his head. Like slow draining water, the half dome of darkness melted to the ground in a steady flow, pooling around the four wolves before slithering away like shadow snakes through the tall grass. Little by little the mental strain lessened, but a dull throbbing headache still dizzied his vision. Bane shook his head in the manner of trying to rid himself of a annoying fly, while trying to clear his focused as he listened to the conversation happening.
Nyx replied to the red female's question, and Bane snickered and threw a smirk towards the other shadow master. It was the type of laugh that two close friends would make after sharing an inside joke together. The two strangers obviously knew each other very well, too well, and Bane wanted to give the same impression with Nyx so that the other two, siblings, didn't think they had an advantage on the situation.
The dark gray and red male turned his sly smile back on the other pretty she-wolf and clicked his fangs together as he widened his grin. His clearing vision caught a quick glare from Nyx, and Bane dropped his upper lip but still let the tip of his tongue poke out between his sharp canines. He would tone it down for now.
The conversation had continued between the two females, they seemed the more vocal ones as Bane switched his observation to the monstrous male across from him. He was huge, but Bane wasn't entirely jealous of him. Being the big was cause to bump into more things than being able to lurk easily through underbrush or small spaces, and maneuvering in battle could also be a lot slower with that much body mass to lift and propel. Well he could definitely hold someone down. Bane recalled how the green male had basically squished that small female beneath him.
"Intentions"? Bane had been listening in despite thinking of something completely different. "Well I would assume your intentions are the same as ours. Wreaking havoc wherever you possibly can." Bane didn't care what Nyx thought, if that wasn't her intentions, at least it was his.

Nyx;
Nyx picked up the scent of yet another unfamiliar wolf, perhaps a male... but she couldn't be bothered. He wasn't near enough yet, and Nyx didn't even spare the time to look over towards where his scent was coming from. He would surely make himself known soon enough.
Sigyn seemed to have misread to whom Nyx had been speaking. She had meant her rather blunt question to be directed at Bane. Why was he here? He didn't strike her as a particularily evil mind—and yet, she could sense that he possessed a mind ripe for molding. She had had these thoughts about him before, the wonderings if he truly was dark enough for her to remain in his company; but yet, same as before, she fancied how entertaining it would be to see if she could truly turn him rotten. Like a bad apple, rotten from the inside out. He gave her a brief chuckle, and she at first was confused. He didn't know her. She almost lifted her lips to reveal her teeth, but a second before she had done so she suspected his reasoning. Ahh, a united front. She tilted her head to the side, searching him for a moment, before grinning sharply. Alright. He could have this one. That wasn't a bad idea. As the sister wolf spoke and Nyx turned her gaze to face her, the black and orange female's eyes grazed across the brother wolf. Fenrir, the female had called him, yet she still did not know the sister's name. Fenrir was watching her. It was a curious sort of gaze, and Nyx met his eyes and almost matched his curiosity. What was he looked at? Or, perhaps for? Was there something about Nyx that held his attention? This quiet, brutish, evil male with the loud-mouth sister?
Nyx didn't even blink, though she held his gaze for a long moment. Sometimes she forgot to blink. Then Sigyn spoke again and Nyx shifted her attention once more. They should keep her around? She fought not to raise her eyebrows in shock. Just who did this female think she was, that she had any sort of say whether Nyx stayed or left?
"I would have thought that my calling him by his name made it rather obvious that we knew one another," Nyx said, as softly as her curiously crackling voice could allow. "I never meant to waste your valuable time with such stupid lies." It remained unsaid what Nyx truly thought of her, had she believed such a 'stupid' thing in the first place. She chuckled softly to herself, glancing at Bane as if he was part of the joke. Sigyn then went on to say that she supposed Nyx could figure out why they were there on her own. Nyx could, and had, though she was tempted to simply nod in agreement with the female. 'Yes I can gather my own conclusion. You are correct. Good day.' She sighed to herself. No. This was one of those moments where the other wolf in the conversation expected a reply. yNyx idly cracked her neck side to side, the snapping sound loud in the surrounding quiet of The Barrens. "My conclusion is that two wolves such as yourselves thrive on disfunction and darkness. I conclude that is the reason you travel as such a tight-knit unit, should things you start ever turn bad. I conclude that is why you came to The Barrens today and all but killed that sorry excuse for an evil whelp. I conclude that is why you are so hostile in even calm situations." She paused here, dipping her chin but flicking her eyes upward at Sigyn. She shifted her rump so it was angling towards Bane, bringing him into the conversation, showing that she was not against him (even if she wasn't sure about that herself). "And the reason for all of that, I believe, is that your souls are quite as dark as my own." She finished in a sharp hiss, feeling a sharp-toothed smile split the dry skin of her lips.

Black Shuck stood up, his pitch black fur flowing in the slight breeze as he backed up. "Too early for this. Maybe later." he muttered to himself as he backed into a large, dead bush. His orange eyes picked up a bright red wolf, a sea foam green wolf, a grey furred wolf with yellow markings, and a wolf who looked much like him. Pitch black fur with orange from her hips down, a large orange mark on her left eye, and orange stripes. She looked nice, or he, Black Shuck couldn't tell, as his nose wasn't as sharp as others.
(lel. Black Shuck could develop feelings for nyx but push them away. =w=)

The way that certain emotions flickered across Nyx’s features, caused her ear to quirk in attention. Something was… off. There seemed to be miscommunications, but she was playing them off as if nothing had happened. While noting this mentally, her face watched with no expression as she changed her story.
Sigyn’s eyes surveyed Bane for a brief moment. The word ‘ours’ was interesting, as they had not been ‘together’ just moments before. What was once two shadow manipulators, was now a combined force… Whether it was true or not, their alliance, she was not surprised that they would. As she had said earlier, it was better to be in numbers than alone.
She blinked at Nyx’s words, eyes glancing at the two, their connection that had been nonexistent and then suddenly seemed to have forged in a silence exchange. Sigyn knew she would never be able to trust anyone ever again, but why did others have to make it so difficult? And then she started speaking more…Yes. Yes. Duh. She mentally agreed to the observations, bored. Her lips twitched and curled a little at the last phrasing of ‘calm situations.’ They were always hostile, there were none to be trusted, and the world would know suffering as they knew it.
At the last words hung in the air, Sigyn smirked. It would easily look like she was pleased about the femme’s conclusion, but her expression was the interest in her choice of words. She was talking about herself, not about Bane, she had not included Bane in her conclusion. Eyes flickered over to Bane, but trailed back to Nyx.
“I would have killed her.” Fenrir grumbled, now that he was thinking about the whelp again, frustrated and disappointed again about the lack of killing that had happened so far in the year. More wolves seemed to be asking for abilities, finding defense in power and in numbers in packs. Packs. Fenrir’s lip curled in distaste at the thought of the ideas of packs.
“There are too many packs in the area.” He said with poison in his voice, speaking as if the crowd understood his train of thought. The soft purple in his eyes held resentment as they looked into the distance and found the dark shadow that lurked in the distance. It was black and he wondered if it was Astral, but he could not smell blood and he guessed it was a male by the faint musty scent that wafted on the stale breeze.
Sigyn looked at her brother, fighting the urge to roll her eyes at his disappointment. Then she looked up at him with interest, thinking about his last phrase… Too many packs… If there was a way to crumble packs within, or prey on the weaker packs on their borders… Perhaps they would find more than those wandering in the Barrens.

Bane:
'Yes!' Nyx had caught on to his little gesture. He grinned a bit more, showing off more of his long fangs that poked out from under his black lips. Bane hardly "knew" the other shadow manipulator, only what she presented. A deep evilness that emanated off of her like a reeking stench. Such dark brooding eyes that mirrored her very soul, or lack of. The black and orange she-wolf creeped Bane out ever since they first met, but her presence, in the most unnatural way, gave him a sick thrill and an excitement for death. Her very way of speaking was so sly and evil that Bane was sure it was not possible for a wolf with a soul to use such words. This thrill and excitement that the dark male felt whenever he was around her was intoxicating... and he wanted more. If she was appalled by his lame company, because he wasn't as cunning or evil as her, well then, she would just have to deal with it. He wanted to learn from her, he wanted to be on her side, and making it seem like he already was, was a very good start.
Bane watched the orange marked face of the shadowy female as she locked gazes with the other male for a moment. A twang of jealousy bounced in Bane's gut, but that feeling always came around when he wasn't the hot spot for the ladies' attention. The thought made Bane loose his fancy grin, and he directed a slightly more than unhappy peer at the green monster.
"I would have killed her." The flick of Bane's ears indicated that her picked up on the mumble from the large male. This comment made the shadow master raise his brows and actually become interested in the female-attention-stealing male. His friendlyness feelings towards him was not at all changing, but a slight curiosity was sparked and Bane wondered just how much of a mean green killing machine this wolf was. However, when the male stranger's next comment was spoken, Bane's "friendly chart" suddenly spiked. All former feelings towards the green pelted male faded, and Bane suddenly felt a deeper connection with this murderous wolf. This was his type of guy.
A dark untouched past shadow was awoken in that moment. The hurt, the pain, the brokenness and the loss. A deep anger and burning hatred was re-lit, and the furnaces of revenge were kindled anew. Past memories lost in the shadows of the present were brought back fresh as if they happened a few days ago. The affect was noticeable on Bane as a tremor went through his thick gray fur, rippling over his sides as his muscles trembled in a short shiver. His already dark eyes became even darker and his whole demeanor seemed to fall more into shadow than before, like the dropping of the temperature to unsafe levels. "Packs..." Bane's voice wavered from his periodic trembles, and his jaw hung open with a pink tongue visible. He stared straight at the he-wolf, like a rabid animal, a darker lust dancing in his eyes. "I could do with less of them." Agreement was the clear in the slimy voice of the gray male, and he took a step closer to the two siblings before continuing. "How about we help each other out with that." Bane wasn't thinking of Nyx at this moment, nor had he even thought about her as being part of the "we" (even though it plainly seemed he meant all of them). When he first ran into her, she had had the slight scent of a pack, but she seemed so independent and hadn't mentioned anything that he had simply guessed she was a pack deserter or somewhere along those lines. Of course Bane didn't have any such thoughts on his mind at this moment, he was lost in his own little world of revenge.

Nyx;
Easy there... Bane was taking this thing too far. The smile he gave her seemed genuineâreal. She fought not to raise her eyebrows, especially when Sigyn seemed to be watching everything so closely. Bane and she had been cool moments before, but the way he was smiling at her now, it would seem as if they were litter mates. Nyx kept it lower-key than Bane, giving him a slightly un-hostile glance, but no more than that. She locked eyes with Sigyn for a moment, and a smile crept to her lips. This female was clever.
Then Fenrir spoke. Nyx swung her head to the side to look at him, her eyes too-wide, her head too-loose. He would have killed her? Nyx blinked. Words were like wind. Nyx would have killed her too, if, if, if. Perhaps Fenrir meant he would have killed her if he had been a different wolf. His words could easily have meant as much. Nyx squared her shoulders just so while he spoke howeverâshe knew how he had meant it. She could already sense what sort of wolf he wasâdidn't the feeling of both tightness and excitement in her chest prove such? "There are too many packs in the area."
Nyx's Mark of Silence glinted on her shoulder. She agreed. While she was loyal mentally to Midnight Silence, in her mind if it was the only pack, things would be better. Blot out the good and neutrals; however, when thinking about the wolves themselves in Midnight Silence, Nyx didn't feel kinship. Instead, she felt loyal only to Fjord and Skia. Of course she would never do anything against their word, and were they to command her to do anything she would without question... But that didn't mean she had to accept or even like her pack mates. An idea came, then. Wouldn't it be fun to stir things up a little bit? Her eyes glinted. With wolves like these three by her side, couldn't they arguably become a force to be reckoned with? None of them smelled like a pack, save herself, but even she was not married to it. They could terrorize other pack-wolves, good and neutrals, and when they tired of that they could even go closer to home and bring fear to evils. She inhaled sharply. What an idea! It would certainly keep the boredom at bay. How Nyx did tire of boring situations. But here was an option that could fix all that. Bane all but voiced her idea, hinting that they could help each other with just such a thing.
"This valley is full of boring creatures with lives that need to be spiced up." She got up and stretched, finally scratching away the crusted rabbit blood from her maw. The orange fur around her teeth stained pink slightly. "I imagine... if a group of like-minded individuals were to come together and take up the cause... that they could go unnoticed for quite a long time. What is three or four wolves causing trouble in the face of so many powerful packs?" A real smile played at her lips, then. It was unhinged, broken, manic... but a smile it was. "We might just be able to get away with such a thing..."
**Add on** A drifting scent on the wind caused Nyx to swivel, almost midsentance. Still more wolves were coming, but this time their scent burned her nostrils. What was it, what was it... oh. They reeked of a Good pack that Nyx hadn't bothered to remember the name of. The fire in her eyes lit once more. What on earth did they have here? Her tongue lolled out, as if tasting the air. It was almost funny, that the two should come upon them right as they were beginining to figure things out.
Rayen;
Blast! She had let Leo slip ahead. It was maddening, watching his shining golden form dart ahead, out of her reach. She was very fast, yes, and something about her loner's spirit made her keep running even when exhaustion set in, but this time Leo had gotten the jump on her. It wasn't a terrible view, being behind in the race. She grinned as she mused, her tongue lolling out. The two had been spending more and more time together as of late, and she wouldn't have changed it for the world. She was growing quite accustomed to having Leo around—like her own personal sun. Her forest-green coat, dashed with uneven white lines as ever, rippled as her muscles worked underneath. They had long since left the Good Eternal Snowfall pack land's behind, but that wasn't so bad. What could go wrong on a sunny summer day, anyway? Her black-masked face split into a broad grin and she yipped happily. Rounding a corner, however, she had to dig her back heels into the ground to avoid bumping into her friend.
"What!" She yelped, coming to a grinding halt. She could sense unease rolling off of him, and she turned her gaze to the way he was looking. She frowned upon seeing the forms of the wolves on the horizon. It was odd to see such a gathering in The Barrens. "Leo?" She murmered, moving closer to him. It wasn't that she was especially unsettled—it took more to unsettle Rayen—it was that Leo seemed perturbed, and as an extention of that, Rayen was ill at ease as well.

Black Shuck stayed at his spot, his ears angled to the wolves as they chatted. The other similar wolf's voice was what got his attention. 'So this wolf is a female. Thought so.' He thought, letting his ears angle towards her, his frozen orange eyes fixated on her as if she was a prey animal. What did she say? Something about packs being powerful and boring? Black Shuck also felt this way, shunning most packs at their fruitless quests to rid of him by threatening him. She also said something about a group of like-minded wolves, and that surely got his attention. He had only leaded one small group of two other wolves in the past, yet they were soft-hearted. But these wolves, they were different. He could smell wolf blood and rabbit blood, and figured these wolves were nothing to mess with.

Leo:
Racing again. This time, Leo was in the lead, and he had no idea where he was going. The fun part about losing his memory was rediscovering the world around him. He was now entering a bleak and barren flatland. Creepy, yes, but also kinda cool looking. He was sure he would ask Rayen about it once they concluded their game. And now that he thought about it, what even marked the end? There was no finish line. The two would just keep on running farther and farther into the horizon. And that gave Leo a sense of something satisfying. Like taking down a moose. Freedom?
Leo skidded to a hault as he saw four shapes in the distance. Two were evidently female, one black, one red. Another one, male, was like a combination of the two: black, red, and a bit of gray. The last was a giant of a wolf, sea foam green male. With a nervous step back, Leo turned around to glance at Rayen, flipping his long lion's mane as his head turned. He had no idea if these wolves were dangerous or not, and if so, they probably heard him laughing and thumping forward carelessly.
"What!" Rayen asked. Leo leaned closer to her and whispered "Something in my gut— I just... have a bad feeling about these wolves." Somehow, Leo knew evil wolves when he saw them. Perhaps he had encountered them in his old life. Or maybe— no. That was impossible.

First Bane reacted, and the Nyx. She had somehow known by Nyx’s poisonous demeanor that she would feel the same. Her eyes widened a little at Bane, watching him carefully. The emotions the rolled off of him seemed genuine enough. It was definitely different than his hesitance before. However, she still wondered if his hatred was more toward packs in general, than any wolf ever. Hate, was hate – and was a seed for growth in darkness. It was enough for now.
She nodded at his suggestion and her gaze glided to Nyx as she spoke. Her words seemed to put everything she’d been thinking out loud. The only piece she had not known, was if both wolves were as willing as she and Fenrir. They were. She smiled back at Nyx and glanced at Bane. This… This would be fun.
Before Sigyn could agree and they could finish their accords, a scent distracted her, and sounds. Paws. Well, well… Wasn’t the Barrens full of activity as of today. There was part of her that would regret leaving the waste lands if they were being this fruitful of wolves to prey on. She let her frame relax and suddenly all darkness washed away from her face and body, as if she’d been fooling them all, and all along she had been good, or neutral, and not evil.
She had also noticed from her side-glance at the new wolves who had approached, that they had also stopped and tensed, feeling wary. The four wolves had no help of surprise on their side if the couple were going to be prey. She shot Fenrir a hard look. It was difficult for her brother to not look menacing and a threat. She knew this, and she momentary glare cut through her act, but it washed away immediately again. Sigyn almost groaned, remembering her brother had attached the female, and would have dried blood on his paws and mouth. “Clean yourself.” She chided in a soft, cheery tone, practicing her nonchalant tone.
“Ho there!” She called in a louder, happy tone. Her tail swayed in a friendly fashion, red and white fur bright under the sun. It was a greeting, no pressure to come, no threat to leave. Perhaps it was enough. She let her paws take her away from their huddle and a stride toward the new couple. They were still a ways off, and she was still close to the group - but she had removed herself just enough to make their numbers seem less daunting. She stretched and rolled to the ground in a huff. Lying down was also less threatening. Not all of them needed to be on their toes that very second.
——-
Fenrir looked at Bane, he had had no interest in the male, honestly hardly noticing his presence besides the artistic shadows he had produced. Now he looked at him in a different light, as if the sun had somehow changed and allowed him to see more. He made a curt nod of appreciation and respect. It was an idea… he looked to Sigyn to see what she would think, when Nyx started to speak again.
He liked it when she spoke. There was something manic and unbridled in her demeanor that reminded him less of his sister and more of himself. He watched and listened to her, wondering about her – how she had been sculpted into the masterpiece that she was. It was only Sigyn’s odd behavior that distracted him, watching her melt into a mellow creature. His mind was still trying to tear away from the thought of Nyx, when Sigyn told him to clean himself. His lips lifted and his back bristled at the command. Before he could pounce on his sister, she was calling into the distance to two wolves.
Fenrir grunted, licking his muzzle and enjoying the last of the dried blood that had crusted on his fur. He then went to work quickly on his nails and paws, his large tongue covering his paws in long and thorough movements. Well, they had new company, did they not?

Rayen;
Leo murmered that he had a bad feeling about the wolves on the horizon. A quick count told Rayen there were five, with one farther off in the distance that didn't look to be a part of the group. It was odd seeing a gathering in the Barrens. She moved closer to Leo, their shoulders all but fusing together. Rayen's loner's instincts were screaming at her to run the other way. Anything that brought such a large group to the Barrens couldn't be good for latecomers. Her ears flicked, and her black-masked face contorted into a mask of concern.
Perhaps they were over reacting. There was always that chance, right?
A female stepped forward, away from the rest of the group. Her voice was calm, happy, welcoming, even. She greeted them and laid down. All in all a very nonthreatening gesture, but Rayen had lived on the outside too long to be at ease yet; however, Rayen could also be naaive, and such a trait was bad in situations like this. Rayen lifted her chin slighty, huffig at Leo gently. The least they could do was say hello—what were they going to do, anyway? They were still so far off. "Hello," Rayen called back, though she didn't step forward yet. Even if she was unsure in the sitution, Leo was beside her, making her feel more comfortable—and the other wolves were an awfully long way away.
Nyx;
Sigyn's dark demeanor all but melted away as she noticed the pair in the distance. Nyx frowned coolly, giving her orange tail a slight flick of irritation. It wasn't the approach she would have taken. All the same though, at least one of their group had spoken—perhaps the wolves would be stupid enough to come closer. While Nyx wouldn't have passed herself off quite as Sigyn did, there was something to be said for keeping the mood light while the other two could still run away. With that thought in mind, Nyx slouched up from a sitting postion and walked lazily forward. She did not go as close to the pair as Sigyn had, but she, too, removed herself from the main body.
She cast a quick glance over her shoulder at Fenrir as he cleaned the dried blood from his muzzle. Nyx clicked her sharp teeth and hung her head at that unsettling angle once more, staring at him unashamedly. "I liked it better before."
The unfamiliar female spoke, then, and Nyx's head snapped back to face them so quickly it was a wonder she didn't break her neck. The green and white female on the other side had returned Sigyn's greeting. Her voice was not steady—it shook slightly with either fear or discomfort. The golden male beside her said nothing either, but as Nyx squinted, he, too, looked ioll at ease. Nyx allowed a smile to grace her maw. Oh this would be fun—if the group of evil wolves could behave themselves, that is. They had just had the beginnings of an idea, and here was a way to put it into action. There was a good chance the four of them would develop a taste for it, if things went well here. Nyx said nothing in reply to the female. She would wait. She could feel a heightened power bubbling away within her—she felt that after building the shadow wall she had become stronger—but still she waited.

Black Shuck watched as two other wolves approached the gathered wolves, yet he stayed hidden. Yes, he longed to approach, but he was....what was it he was? Afraid the word popped up and he growled almost quietly. He got closer to the four other wolves, his eyes shining with false fear. He kept his eyes on the black and orange female, before scanning the surroundings for any other wolves. What's the use of getting killed? his mind questioned as he squinted, pushing the question away. He wouldn't get killed here, if anything, he'd die in a fight. Honor came from fighting, right?

Leo:
Maybe Leo was wrong about these wolves. After all, they seemed nice enough, and even Rayen, in her low-key loner instincts, seemed to find them trustworthy. But Leo still stepped one paw in front of Rayen protectively and pressed against her. If any of them hurt her, Leo would be ready to fight back and defend his friend. She was, after all, the only wolf he had at that point. Without her, he would be all on his own with a broken memory. He tilted his head up and formed a slight scowl.
"Hey," he spoke up timidly. "Rayen and I were just leaving."
The words came out unexpectedly, before Leo could think about what he was saying. But he knew now, he had probably said the right thing, so he began nudging Rayen away from these wolves. These fierce-looking intimidating wolves. He furtively glanced up at them, watching every move they made, and unknowingly lashed his tail. He tried to be subtle about his protectiveness, but still let the gang know he meant business if they tried anything.

(OOC: Sorry sorry sorry.)
Bane:
The large gray and black male flicked his tail. He assumed that his and Nyx's relationship was at least decent, that's why he was playing along with her, and she the same, but her last expression made him rethink what he may have done wrong in how he approached her. She still seemed on key with him, but a certain tension seemed to be directed towards him. What did it matter though, Nyx was a dark wolf with many shadows that hid her emotions, and Bane wasn't even concerned about that at the moment. He just caught a genuin nod from the sea foam green male, and his pride jumped up a step. Almost during the whole time this giant hadn't even so much as looked at him (probably too lost in his humongousness to care about such a tiny problem like Bane), and now they were totally connecting through similar hates. Bane had a strong gut feeling that something powerfully dark was being birthed in this small group interaction.
Everyone suddenly seemed to be distracted by something until the scent reached Bane who was standing slightly further than the rest. It was a certain scent, and it took the dark pelted he wolf only a second to recognize... pack. And was it a good pack too? Even better. Bane wasn't paying attention to the way Sigyn suddenly changed her demeanor, but was too focused on the male and female that were leaning on each other with worried expressions on their faces. Were they a couple? How cute. bane didn't know for sure, but if they were, that just made the situation ten times more exciting.
The golden wolf spoke up, nervousness dripping from his voice as he stepped in front of the Rayen wolf. Bane grinned with a peculiar eeriness to it and cocked his head, " Leaving?!" He barked with surprise laced in his friendliest-way-without-sounding-too-evil tone. "But you just got here!" Truly Bane didn't want them to leave, he wanted them to stay and "play". He wanted to torment those pack wolves just like he had been. Torn from everything happy. If he had had to experience such pain, then they would too.

Rayen;Hearing Leo's voice come out so timidly set Rayen's fur on end. She had been so sure a moment before, but the moment that Leo's confidence faltered, she felt hers slip as well. Of course, she had always been strong alone, but now there was something in her mind that was making her not want to be alone anymore. She glanced at the golden wolf beside her. Was it him? Was he somebody that important to her? She nipped the skin above his shoulder very lightly—just to remind him that she was there. Suddenly, it was clear. She didn't speak it outloud yet, no, it was too soon for that, but the thought had been planted in her mind. His smell, his warmth, even the way her mind worked when he was beside her—it all seemed so natural now. But they had suddenly found themselves in a les than comfortable situation. The wolves across the Barrens from them were now calling things. Leering at them, beckoning them closer. Rayen wasn't about to go anywhere near them, but then she felt a cool shiver go down her spine. Suddenly she looked forward and locked eyes with a black and orange female. She was odd looking, even from a distance. Too skinny, yet somehow solid. Her head lolled and even from where she stood, Rayen could sense her eyes. Empty, dead, violent eyes. Nyx;Nyx was tired of waiting. Their game would come to a quick end if the two wolves ran off. Before standing she looked once more at Fenrir. There had been a moment as the Evil wolves got aquainted, when she had been gripped with a hunger for him. Insatiable. Dark. Obsessive. She mused on that, dragging her eyes over his form rather obviously. She clicked her teeth and shrugged off, getting up from her dusty perch. There would be plenty of time to dwell and discover that later, if things went in the direction they were looking to go. It wouldn't be such a bad grouping of wolves to form a little band, she thought. As she got ups she skittered past Sigyn, slouching by as she did so. She allowed her back to face the female—she was no longer worried of anything on this end. She fixed the olive green female in her stare, and after a short moment the female looked over and met her eyes. "You're going to have to come a lot closer if we're ever going to get to know each other." Nyx sneered, her oddly low voice pulsing over the dry dirt. Suddenly then, Nyx reached deep within herself. Her eyes rolled back into her head, revealing the black there. The power she had felt building within her was now ready to be released. Stretching out with her mind, Nyx cast a massive shadow dome over the Good wolves. It leapt above them and dripped down until it formed an unbroken, impossibly dark shape over the bushes and trees. This was no normal shadow, either. Not some lightplay that she was manipulating. This was true darkness. Pitch black. Only a level 3 Shadow Master could see through such solid darkness. As such, Nyx had cast it in the perfect way. It spread out behind the Good wolves and far to either side, but ended only a few feet from Nyx's own paws. It was impressively large, especially considering it was her first one. The Good wolves would have no reasonable option except to come forward through the darkness. They could not stumble through the dense forest behind them without fear of injury. The even sands were calling, and so was Nyx. Exhaustion set in, and she knew within herself that she would have to rest before casting another dome of darkness, but this one would suffice for now. Rayen;Everything went black. Not the sort of black you see at night, where if you squint you can make out shapes. It was complete. Rayen could not even see Leo anymore, though their shoulders were touching. Her first instinct was to run, but she was too smart for that. Even on moonless nights it was dangerous to go blundering through the trees. No, this had been the orange and black female. She was drawing them to her, and how easily she had done it. Rayen felt her heart speed up, but she hummed softly to Leo. It would be alright. They were together. Before she left the grass behind to find the sand blindly, she licked Leo's cheek. Just once, and just softly—but she felt it was the time to do it. The next few minutes of their lives was quite unknown. She took a breath, filling her nose with Leo's scent once more, before ducking her head and padding forward through the dark. tovaana Blood

Black Shuck chuckled inwardly, seeing the two wolves get engulfed by shadows. "maybe I should make myself....known..." He thought, eyes narrowing as he stepped out from his hiding spot. "What wonderful power, I must say." He bellowed, but there was no emotion behind the words, only the cruel, monotoned voice of Black Shuck. He walked a little ways before sitting down. "I suppose now should be a good of a time as ever, my name is unknown, but wolves in the past have called me 'Black Shuck'." He shook his very shaggy fur before sitting down, looking to the dome of shadows. "Really, though, madam, such an ability must take practice. But I suppose you have had that. What are your names?" He said lowly, noticing the sea foam green wolf nearby.
