A gentle humming could be heard through the forest as a a lithe she-wolf strolled around. To the beat of the song she was humming, she'd be tossing her head lightly from side to side with a happy smile across her face. Maya was definitely easy to approach, though from time to time she might seem a tad bit annoying. This didn't really bother the white and pink wolf very much though, she was just always on the lookout to make some new friends! Her paws would step in time with her song as well as she marched along. She seemed new to white wolf mountain, though was plenty old enough to be out and about by her lonesome. The she-wolf had no destination, and was mindlessly headed towards Frigid Plague's territory, not knowing what all was hidden in the forest.

Maicest wandered along through the redwoods, enjoying the beauty of nature. He heard a faint humming that distracted him from this, "task". He followed the sound to a small clearing, where there was a wolf of similar coat colors. She was dancing to the tune of which she hummed. He noticed that she was heading in the opposite direction than he was. He stepped forward wanting to meet the wolf whom nature had granted a similar coat. His brown eyes noticed that the tree next to her had a scratch mark like that of a cat. He instantly barged into the clearing with a loud crash. As he got closer to the tree he noticed that he was hardly tall enough to reach the marks. He then decided that the female was much better than him, as she was not cursed to be short like he was. Remembering the female he turned around, aware that his actions had most likely startled her.

Maya continued to sashay along to her song, at least until she heard some rushed steps and a bit of a crash!
She turned to see the male, who was already scrambling up to his feet. Without thinking too much about it, the she-wolf made her way quickly over towards him. "Are you alright?!" She questioned immediately, before she made it all the way over towards him. Her pink and white tail was nearly touching the ground as she hastily made for Maicest. Before long she was face to face with the male. Already she was trying to check him over and examine him for any scrapes or bruises. Her smile never seemed to fade however,despite the bit of panic he had caused her.

"I'm fine yes" Maicest said flustered. "I apologize if I startled you." The female was checking him for scratches and didn't seem to be worried at all, though at one point her tail was between her legs. Maicest was examining her coat, looking for ways it was similar to his. Her pink is in splotches, and slightly darker than mine. He noted. He realized that he should introduce himself, though it was awkward with her constantly moving. He decided to do it anyways. "My name is Maicest" He said trying to turn and face her, "what's yours?" He asked, turning to her again.

The she-wolf seemed to quickly accept his words and condition after checking him out for a minute or so. She settled herself back onto her haunches and let her tail swing about freely while he introduced himself, just shortly before asking what her name was. "Oh! Nice too meetcha Maicest!" She started off cheerily. "I'm Maya~! Hey... Are you one of the wolves from this area? I'm still new around here... Only seen one other wolf to be honest with ya." She added, tilting her head curiously to one side as she questioned him right back! Her smile only left for a mere second as she asked her question, giving the same look a pup would've given if it was asking a question. Right after though, she'd return to her ever-loving smile and await his answer.

"Why hello Maya" Maicest said after the she-wolf introduced herself. "Since you're new can I show you around," He asked. "What I know of the forest at least" Maicest added quickly. I don't come from here directly, but I come from nearby. He answered to her last question. It was interesting that she had answered his questions with more questions. Well two can play that game He thought with a slight grin. "How are you doing today?", he asked, "are you here for a reason?" He added, "do you think these scratch marks were made by a cat?" he asked signaling at the tree next to them. "Are you hungry?"

Maya flicked her tail from side to side cheerfully as she listened to Maicest. "Sure~! I'd love to be shown around, I'm sure you still know about this area more than myself." The she-wolf answered, before listening to his repeated questions, one after another. The friendly wolf giggled a little at him before answering each one in order. "I'm fine, nope, not sure, and I just ate recently!" She fired back with a goofy smile on her face. Her eyes were even closed in a child-like grin back at him. She reopened them soon after to look over the male once again. "So where to first, Mr. Tour guide~?" She teased, standing herself back up and poking at his shoulder with her nose in a friendly fashion.

-Enter Erza-

On this beautiful spring day, Erza was taking a small nap. Curled up in the soft grass that had been warmed by the bright sun, she was enjoying an interesting dream. In her dream she was using her new power that Taboo granted her with. Erza was in a field of tall, dark green grass. She would look to a tree, and next thing she knew she was right next to it. Suddenly she was jolted awake by a peculiar humming noise. The reddish brown she wolf lifted her head as if with urgency, and surveyed the surrounding forest. “Nothing seems out of the ordinary.” she thought as she slowly got up from her wonderful napping spot. Placing her long legs in front of her, she went into a bow, stretching out her sleepy muscles. Once she found her bearing, she slowly and quietly walked through the forest.

As Erza meandered through the wooded area, she kept hearing the humming sound. With little thought to the matter, she continued onward. Her path led her to a small clearing. She saw two other wolves and became quite nervous, as she was used to being all by herself most of the time. Erza took in a deep breath. ”You cannot hide forever Erza.” she thought as she slightly hung her head. The she wolf knew she needed to work on her social skills. She knew she needed to be around other wolves. Then a sly yet silly smile came across her maw. ”What a perfect opportunity to try out my power” she thought with much happiness. She looked to a tree that was near the other wolves. Making her body still, she put all of her concentration into appearing by the tree.

She felt her body shiver a bit, and poof! Erza had teleported to the tree. Being sure that they noticed her, she announced herself. “Hello, I am Erza. Nice to meet…you…ohh…oh wow,” she said frantically looking to the ground. ”Where is my leg??” Erza blurted out in pure shock. Noticing that her leg was missing, she figured out that her first time teleporting did not go as planned. It was not as easy as she thought it would be. With a look of only embarrassment, she looked to the other two wolves. “Hehehe, so….I’ll be right back”. Still chuckling at her rookie move, Erza turned her head to where she came from. The area within the trees. She looked at it, and focused on nothing else. In a flash she was gone. Once she was back to where she was before, she looked down and her leg was back! With a sigh of relief she looked to the tree again. ”Let’s try this again” thought the she wolf. Once in front of the other wolves, she checked herself to make sure every body part came with her this time. Mumbling under her breath, ” One, two, three, four legs. That’s good, My tail? Yep there. Looks like I did it!” She turned to the other wolves. ”Sorry about that, I am Erza.” she said, hoping she didn’t freak them out too much.

"Where would you like to go first? I can show you the rest of the forest, or..." He was cut off by a wolf suddenly appearing out of nowhere, who introduced herself as Ezra. She quickly turned around and asked where her leg was. This startled Maicest, as he had assumed it wasn't there because of a birth defect. Then the wolf disappeared saying she would be right back and returning a minute or two later. This time, she had her leg. She checked to make sure that she hadn't lost another body part before re-introducing herself to them. Maicest was still startled but decided to introduce himself. "My name is Maicest. May I ask what you're doing here today?"

Maicest had heard of wolves being granted powers but he had never seen one before. This wolf must have traveled far. Maicest thought, remembering that wolves had to climb White Wolf Mountain to be granted such powers. "Are you hungry?" He asked Ezra. Will she care if I'm short? He asked himself, hoping she wouldn't. Maya doesn't seem to. Remembering the other she-wolf, he turned back to her. "I can show you the rest of the forest or the grasslands. The mountains are a little far away."

Maya continued to swish and flick her tail around behind her, friendly as ever. Though, she couldn't help but jump up a little while her fur stood on end as Erza appeared beside them, questioning where her leg went and poofing back away! Curious, Maya sniffed around where Erza had been at, just as the she-wolf reappeared right next to them! The white and pink wolf squeaked and jumped back a little, flattening her ears against her skull for a moment until Erza introduced herself, followed soon by Maicest speaking up agin.

It didn't take very long for the friendly wolf's smile to reappear on her face! Soon enough she was introducing herself to Erza as well. "I'm Maya~ Nice to meetcha Erza!" Her tail even seemed to start wagging around once again. "Hmm..? Oh! I don't really care where we go... As long as I'm with you... Err both of you! If you'd wanna tag along anyways, Erza. Maicest was gonna show me around some. I'm not from around here..." She said, looking from the male to the other female as she spoke separately to each one, but was well loud enough for both of them to hear.

Capri

While the sun hung over the forested grasslands, wolves gathered in a clearing. A blue wolf watched them curiously. He stood in the shadow of the tree line, his cyan hued eyes watched the white and pink wolf closely. His tongue swiped his nose nervously as a stocky pink wolf seemed to accompany the other one. Suddenly, a wolf appeared but before he could make certain of what he was seeing, the three-legged wolf disappeared as unexpected as it had arrived. Capri's light colored ears twisted with curiosity, as the pink toned wolves responded to the sudden appearance of the reddish wolf now having all-four appendages.

Enter stage right. Capri walked toward the three wolves with interest; his eyes on the reddish wolf. As he closed in on the trio, the russet tones held brown also and her tail was tipped black. Capri flicked his tail behind him as he stopped only a couple steps from the tree with scratches in the bark. His cyan eyes did not linger too long, as his interested remained with the wolves. His gaze only settled a moment on the short pink wolf, scenting he was a male. Capri smiled more, revealing canines, as his vision focused on the white and pink she-wolf. "Well, hello everyone." He spoke with a deep yet polite voice. He hadn't been paying attention to much of the conversation going on as he closed in on the troupe. He was curious about what powers the red-brow wolf possessed. "We all saw that, so the cat is out of the tree." His eyes widened with envy, tears rimming his eyes.

Capri heard of tales about White Wolf Mountain. The wolves bestowed gifts, or curses, on wolves who visited with them. Wolves strong enough to make the journey. Or so he thought. He admired the reddish-brown wolf's strength, assuming she was simply because she was "gifted". Capri wagged his tail, shaking his head as he took a couple steps back. "Excuse me, where are my manners? My name is Capri," He looked across each of the wolves' faces, giving the other male a longer glance this time around. "You saw those cat scratches?" Capri made a remark whilst pointing his snout in that specific tree's direction. His eyes wandered away from the light pink wolf's face, not sure which of the females' he should settle on. Inevitably, his cyan gaze landed on the reddish-brown wolf due to her physique. Capri smirked, "Ezra was it? And," his face turned to the pink toned wolves. He spoke with a polite yet questioning tone, "Maicy? And Mayra?" He hadn't meant to butcher their names, he hadn't quite heard them introduce themselves to Ezra because his focus was entirely on the reddish-brown wolf. Capri has very selective hearing. His tongue lolled over his lips; his body remaining stoic with a pushed-out chest and brooding shoulders.

Her wandering from the River Banks had lead her to the redwoods, filled with trees that towered far overhead. Her paws trotted along at an even pace before coming to a slow stride. At a first glance she thought she was seeing things but she looked a little closer and saw a few shapes of animals... Wolves. With a flick of her black and grey tail she changed direction and headed towards the wolves and regained her usual gait. Are they friendly? She wondered, slightly cautious about how they might react to her. She bit her lower lip with the slightest bit of nervousness before examining the shapes from afar. She let her stare linger for a while longer before shrugging to herself, I'm sure I will be fine. She reassured herself as she quickened her pace towards them. Keeping her gaze fixed on the colourful figures ahead she appeared as casually as possible and introduced herself "Hello? My name is Auroras." She mentioned to them all before adding "How are you guys going?" She hoped she had said it all right, for she had not spoken to many wolves.

The two wolves seemed slightly startled, but not scared of Erza. The she wolf took in a breath of relief. She has been used to being alone most of her life, resulting in her horrible social skills. ”Will these wolves like me?” Erza started to frantically over think. She took in another deep breath, muttering in her mind, ”They are friendly Erza, they will not harm you.” As she looked to them, the small, light pink male introduced himself to Erza. Though small Erza could tell he was very strong. Shortly after, the she wolf introduced herself. Erza found her coat markings very interesting, mostly white with patches of pink. Erza started to settle her nerves. She could tell these were good wolves. Nothing to be worried about.

As Maicest asked if she was hungry and if she wanted to join them, she noticed two other wolves approaching the clearing. This made Erza uneasy. They both spoke saying they were Capri and Auroras. Capri was keeping a close eye on Erza. Erza was trying her best to avoid eye contact. She was barely fine with the idea of trying to interact with two wolves, now four? While going through many thoughts the mostly cerulean colored wolf asked about Erza’s mishap. "We all saw that, so the cat is out of the tree." Erza finally broke herself and met the cyan eyes that she was avoiding. Mirroring his smirk, the she wolf told of her gift. ”Yes, I visited the Great Taboo and she gave me a power.” Looking down to her reddish brown paws quickly, the she wolf was filled with doubt. "But obviously the powers do not come easy. I need much practice, as you can only make a fool out of yourself so many times." With that she flopped her tall, lean body onto the soft grass. Covering her eyes with her paws from pure embarrassment.

"How about we see the rest of the forest, then the grasslands" Maicest had just finished saying when a wolf slipped into the clearing and said hello. He was paying close attention to Ezra and mentioned her mishap. Ezra responded with signs of embarrassment, still not having answered his question. The wolf then introduced himself as Capri. Maicests' view of the wolf shifted slightly when the wolf mentioned the cat scratches on the tree. It soon shifted again when he messed up his and Mayas' names. Though he was annoyed he responded politely, "Very close but it's Maicest and Maya." The wolf had obviously noticed he was short, but Maicest put it out of his mind. There are more important things to worry about. He thought, as yet another wolf entered the clearing.

The wolf introduced herself as Auroras. Maicest noticed that she seemed slightly unfamiliar with talking to the wolves. She then asked how they were all doing. Maicest replied for himself, "I'm good, how are you?" Maicest was getting hungry himself so he started exiting the clearing, he decided to tell them where he was going first. "I'm getting hungry so I am going to go hunt. Is anyone else hungry? I need to know how much food to get."

Maya's tail seemed to pick up speed once again as one new wolf introduced themselves to the fray. It soon would speed up as fast as it could go once Auroras introduced himself as well! How many friends could Maya potentially make in such a short time frame? She wasn't sure, but was more than eager to try and be friends with each and every wolf that was around her at the time!
She didn't reprimand Capri too much for saying her name wrong, especially since Maicest already seemed to correct him. Instead,
she'd turn to Auroras. "I'm doing great! I hope you're doing fine as well. I'm Maya, if you hadn't heard from everyone else around here yet." She replied, flattening her ears back a bit.

"This is Maicest, Erza, aaaand Capri!" She added, nodding her heads to each wolf as she mentioned their name. "Again... Just in case you hadn't heard." She murmured, curling her tail around to her side some. Maya blinked curiously as Erza and Capri mentioned something about powers, was that was White Wolf Mountain really held as a secret? It only interested the newcomer even more, making her curious as to what all might await her in this foreign (to her) land!

"You don't have to hunt alone Maicest... I'm far from the best, but I'm sure I could help!" She smiled again, turning to look at the first wolf she had met today. "I'm not particularly hungry... But I could eat something small I'm sure. Of course if all of us are hungry, we could work together and get something big perhaps?" The white and pink female questioned, looking around at the other wolves. It was at this time she felt the need to seat herself, lurching her weight backwards until she settled against her haunches. Her tail thumped the ground some as she tried to memorize the wolves' faces and names, looking from one to another as she did so.
