((Tiel Sorry that this thread took so long to make! DX It's about time we got Volka, Khoine, and Hemera's plot moving again!))

Volka:

Two wolves walked side by side through the forest. The grey male watched the white female beside him with mischievous ice blue eyes. How fun would it be to capture two females at once in his trap? And both of them sisters at that! He focused his gaze on the area ahead and sniffed the air for prey. They had to bring something back from this short so-called hunting trip. Hunting was the last thing on Volka planned to do here, but he should make sure the others weren’t suspicious of the trip’s real intent. The scents of a flock of turkeys reached him. Good, they could catch those later, but for now…

Volka turned to Khoine. ”I thought Hemera was beautiful when I met her, but now, after meeting you, I regret being so hasty. You put Hemera to shame.” He flashed her a roguish smile, the smile of a wolf who'd be willing to leave one she-wolf for a more beautiful one. This Volka was much closer to Volka's true self, but still far from what he really was. This version was mischievous, as roguish as his smile, and loved Khoine more than Hemera.

Khoine:
This was absolutely perfect. Khoine would both fall in love with handsome Volka, and crush the heart of annoying little Hemera, at the same time. It was about time her sister was put back into her place. Khoine pictured the pink and orange runt helplessly crying in the corner of a dark cave, and grinned silently to herself. Then again, what would Zeus and Ouranos think about that? Her protective older brothers would be dreadfully disappointed in her. She would have to put them in their places as well. Eventually. And Nox would follow her, she hoped. She was the only sibling she could stand to be around, and the only one who had a remotely similar ideology as Khoine.

Volka paused sniffing the air, and Khoine tilted her head in confusion at the handsome grey male. But quickly she remembered why the couple had come this way in the first place: to hunt. Khoine smiled as Volka's face changed, probably because he could smell some prey, and Khoine picked up the scent of turkey as well. Yet again Volka's expression changed, but this time it was directed at her. It was the smile of a mischievous wolf who would ditch Hemera for Khoine any day. "I thought Hemera was beautiful when I met her, but now, after meeting you, I regret being so hasty. You put Hemera to shame."

Khoine lifted a paw arrogantly and almost sassily. "Well of course I do! How could anyone fall in love with a pathetic runt like my sister?" Her cold silver eyes met Volka's and she grinned mischievously as he did to her. "But let's keep this between us for now," she whispered into his ear still smirking, "We don't want my big brothers finding out about us,"

Volka:

Khoine immediately latched onto his words. With a smile that mirrored his own, she flippantly dismissed her sister as a runt. Volka commented an answer to her rhetorical question, ”My pack was full of dull colored coats. Her colors blinded me. Now, I see true beauty.” Her sultry voice whispered into his ear. Volka whispered back, ”My thoughts exactly.”

His thoughts raced during this exchange. ’She’s more eager than Hemera! This is so easy… she probably just wants to get at her sister through me while having a bit of fun... What can I do with this one? Maybe see if I can get her to have pups with me? I already did that with Hemera, though… it was fun, though. I can’t wait to see the look on her face with she realizes those little Volkas were nothing but a big mistake. Khoine… however… she doesn’t seem like the puppy type. Perhaps, I can dig a deep, true love for me out of her cold heart instead of just the shallow attraction she has now. I could make her want it to last forever. If she does have plans to break Hemera with this secret, then I should make her never want to reveal it for fear of losing me, instead. Yes… perfect.’

Volka stepped a little closer to nuzzle her neck fur, gently, as if trying, but failing at not taking this romance too fast. ”I want to make you a queen, Khoine. Your beauty deserves nothing less than that. You should be ruling over your siblings. It’s easy to tell that you’re a leader, not a follower. I admire that. I admire you.”

Khoine:
Volka showered Khoine with compliments, which she accepted openly. When Volka nuzzled her fur, she leaned in. It was so obvious that he was trying not to take this too fast, but Khoine had to let him know she would be willing to jump right into the deep end. That way, if it wasn't meant to be, they would both know right away. But Volka was clearly Khoine's soulmate, so why wait?

”I want to make you a queen, Khoine. Your beauty deserves nothing less than that. You should be ruling over your siblings. It’s easy to tell that you’re a leader, not a follower. I admire that. I admire you.” Khoine made a sound resembling that of a cat's pur, then licked Volka on the cheek, holding nothing back. "And you," she whispered, "shall be king. Oh, Volka, together we'll rule the whole valley." Khoine imagined what it would be like, every wolf in the valley bowing before them. It was an impossible dream, but Khoine would pick up any chance she could get her paws on to gain power, starting with her siblings. With Volka's natural leadership skills, which she could see in him, perhaps he would help her become ruler.

Khoine wrapped her tail around him, and grinned with deadly teeth. There was a feeling in the air, something more than love. Destiny, perhaps? This was the beginning of something wonderfully terrible. "What do you say, hmm?"

Volka:

Khoine leaned in as Volka nuzzled her. Yes, she enjoyed that and wanted more. She wasn’t waiting on him to take it slow. She was ready to go full steam ahead with no hesitation. Her eagerness made Volka question her sincerity. Was she actually the one playing him? Was this just a plot for power or to try to break his heart? If it was, Khoine was doing it all wrong. The deceiver should go at the pace of his victim as to not scare her away, yet still hint that he liked her and wanted more. Khoine’s seducing was much too upfront and obvious. She was lucky she was dealing with Volka and not some other male. Volka was the master of this game. Khoine couldn’t outplay him.

So, either Khoine lacked experience or this was just the way she handled relationships. Khoine did seem like the kind of she-wolf that’d drive into a relationship she wanted. She also seemed like the type to easily discard relationships. This was seeming the more likely occurrence as an inexperienced deceiver would not target an already taken wolf. Oh, well. Volka would get what love and devotion he could from her before he left. Volka was happy to speed up the pace for the eager she-wolf. He licked the back of her ears and the top of her head. She spoke of making him a king and licked his cheek. He sat and put his draped over her shoulders to pull her closer. He curved his head around her neck to rub the cheek opposite him.

Volka considered her words as he continued to lick and nuzzle her everywhere he could reach in their current position. Khoine wanted power and her passion for ruling seemed genuine. He should add a plan to her ambitions. That’d really sell it! Maybe concocting a plan would strengthen her devotion to him. Rule the valley, huh? Well, the best way to do that was to form a giant pack, right? The individual packs of the valley would need to either be eliminated or absorbed into the large pack. How best to take over packs? Become their alphas of course! As the plan began to take shape, Volka was tempted to run off with Khoine and actually go through with it, but he figured it’d get boring fast since he didn’t share Khoine’s passion for control.

Her tail wrapped around him as she asked his opinion. He shifted his weight and position so he could cross his legs around the base of her neck. She grinned a deadly smile at him and he smiled mischievously back. ”That sounds wonderful, my queen,” he spoke softly as if he was falling deeply in love with her. Then he told her his genius plan, ”We could infiltrate packs, eliminate the alphas, and take control. One by one, we’d conquer them until all the valley was all ours.” Then he leaned back to fall onto his back, pulling Khoine with him so she’d be pressed against his chest. ”Meanwhile, I am all yours.”

Khoine:

So Volka had thought about the quixotic dream of ruling the valley. Khoine had been afraid he would think it silly. But he not only accepted it, but welcomed it. Even thought of an entire plan surrounding it. Khoine had never been more attracted to him.

"I think this is meant to be," she said in a liquid smooth voice. Khoine wrapped her tail around them both, flicking it like a hungry puma. "Maybe I'm rushing too much," she said in a tone suggesting she did not in the least think she was rushing too much. "But I think I love you."

Khoine smiled a snake-like smile, ear to ear. She and Volka would have fun together.
