DarkMoon wanders down one of the paths of the Forest of Love. He is on the lookout for some wolf to be his potential mate, for he's been a loner since he was a pup, and he is tired of being alone. He says to himself. "I think if I stay in one place, I'll be better off, since I've seen females walking down this path, alone." He lays down under a nearby tree and eventually falls asleep. He began to dream about having a mate who would play with him. Suddenly, he hears a twig snap and his ears perk up.

(Actually, you need to edit your first post so that it reaches at least 100 words. And there are a couple of edits you need to make to your character's profile in the Become board, additionally.)

Kilpi was all grown up. She was a heavy set shewolf with strong, lean muscles. She had never stopped wandering the valley, though she hardly remembered why. She faintly remembered her family. Kitsune and Akiane were the faintest in her memories. She remembered that Akiane had something wrong with her that prevented her from playing with her and Illao. Other than that, her mother and sister were blurred shapes in her memory. Illao was slightly clearer. She was a beautiful, bright red pup with incredible green eyes. Kilpi still remembered her scheming smirk. She knew that Illao talked alot...chatty...but she couldn't recall her voice. Her father was more present in her memory. He was a large male (or was that just because she had been so small at the time?) who's fur was a mix of white, blue, and green. He had kept her together when she was giving up. Giving up on ever finding Illao. They never had. She was separated form her father and had struck out on her own path.
Now she was here. The Forest of Love. She had passed through here on one occasion, not quite comfortable with it's bright pink leaves and unusually warm atmosphere. Kilpi didn't quite know the reason why she had come here; perhaps she was lonely...needed a friend. She wasn't totally naive anymore...she knew why wolves came here. And so she was incredibly on-guard when she spotted a dark male leaning against a nearby tree, not unlike a bear scratching his back on the rough bark. fortunately, bears weren't extremely common. With the abundance of wolves in the valley, there wasn't much room for other predators.
Kilpi sat herself awkwardly where she was, turned slightly away from the other wolf, but with one dark eye on the stranger. You could never be too careful.

DarkMoon hears the sound of paws padding against the ground. He hears them getting closer to him. Then, he hears them suddenly stop. DarkMoon wakes up and sees Kilpi sitting down nearby him, back turned partially towards him, and staring at him, watchfully. He thinks to himself "well then... it appears that I may have attracted the attention of a young female... this could get interesting... but, I don't think she is going to be willing to play with me yet, so I'll begin by breaking the ice a little bit..." He sits up and says with a smile on his face "why hello there, may I help you with something?"

Kilpi wasn't surprised that he had noticed her. She saw him move his muzzle towards her, she had seen the flickering in his eyes. Despite seeing his reaction, her heart raced when he spoke. She wasn't quite used to hearing other wolves voices. No. It wasn't that...Kilpi had heard the many howls and yips of the valley wolves nearly every night. Yet when she was addressed directly...it felt foreign, new, uncomfortable. As soon as he spoke, she whipped her head away from him, squeezing her eyes shut. Kilpi struggled to steady her breathing. She knew she had to respond...this was her first real contact with another wolf in...two years??!! Jeez it had been too long. With a quiet gulp, she turned her entire body towards him. She straightened her spine and squared her shoulders, opening her eyes with a slightly defiant gaze. Not defiance towards him-mind you-but towards her own anxiety.
"Nothing...Sir...just passing through." The russet and green shewolf observed the male now. He was a fairly muscular wolf with a heavy-set build not unlike hers. However, his pelt was not as lush and vibrant as hers. His coat was a marbled monotone scheme; with swirls of ebony and alabaster, silvery tint sparkling in the setting sun.
The setting sun! Night would soon fall...she didn't know if she felt particularly safe at night nearby a stranger. She only felt safe alone. That's how she'd been for most of her life. She was nearly an adult she should be able to take care of her self, and she has, brilliantly. She just needed to buck up. "I'ts nearly night." The stocky shewolf grunted, her teeth clenched as a wave of fear drained out of her bones. She would be fine, this wolf had no intention of hurting her. He hadn't proved to be bad company as of yet.

DarkMoon says with reassurance "it's ok, I'll keep you protected, I promise. I know of a good spot where we'll be hidden from view. Please follow me." He gets up and stretches. Then he begins slowly walking back to his den, where it's safe and hidden from any predators. He gets a good distance ahead before he stops, turns around, and waits for Kilpi to follow him. Above, the moon shines through a break in the tree branches and illuminates DarkMoon's fur. The soft glow of the moonlight made DarkMoon's eyes look like they were glowing. DarkMoon sat down and waits patiently for Kilpi to catch up with him.

Kilpi blinked in shock. That was abrupt. Was he really that chivalrous? He didn't even know her name, much less if she was evil! She wasn't...but was he? Maybe he was just being nice, caring for the wandering stranger. Or...Maybe he was intoxicated with the sweet scent drafting through the forest of love. An owl hooted nearby, its song eerie and cold. A matching breeze blew through the branches, whispering and encouraging her to follow. She supposed she couldn't argue with the night. The shewolf stood now, taking a tentative step forward, a twig snapping in the brush hastening her steps. Her eyes flicked to her paws, shifting ever so slightly to track his movements. "I'm Kilpi by the way...you?" She would feel more comfortable knowing his name. Still...maybe she should run off...it wouldn't be the first time. But he has been so kind to offer her shelter.

DarkMoon smiles and says "nice to meet you Kilpi, my name is DarkMoon, but you can call me Dark if you'd like." He then stood up and began to walk again as Kilpi catches up to him. He then matches his pace with hers and kept a watchful eye on the surrounding area that they were walking in, just to make sure that there wasn't any threats. Then, after about three minutes, DarkMoon spots the den and says with a smile on his face "we're here, home sweet home." He walks over to the den and moves a few vines that had covered the entrance to the den and waits for Kilpi.

Acribus;
"Coming on a little strong, aren't you?" The words came out as a broken rasp—the remains of a voice that would never fully heal. Acribus was lounging in the shadows near and above DarkMoon's den, and he had heard the gist of the conversation until that point. Sound travelled well on the cool autumn air. The grungy-white wolf slouched down and circled around, until he was nearer to the pair. His eyes, rich purple, but more green in this light, caught the light as his wiry frame sat down. He chuckled, the sound coming out even more broken than his voice had.
He was not afraid. He was the beta of Midnight Silence now—and even this wolf that reaked of Goodness didn't worry him in the slightest; however, worry was not really Acribus' way. He clicked his teeth together, and cleared his throat. The white fur that revealed the scar on his neck ruffled slightly as he gave his head a shake.
"Not very gentlemanly... bringing a lady back on the first encounter?" A waspish, often unused smile dipped out from the coarse fur around his mouth.

DarkMoon says with a protective tone of voice "she's just staying with me overnight, then she's going to be leaving by tomorrow morning. Now leave us alone before anyone gets hurt." He then began to walk past Acribus and over to his den. On his way to his den, he shot an "I'm warning you" look at Acribus. DarkMoon then waits by the entrance to his den. The pale blue hue of the moonlight making his fur look as if he had a streak of silver. His eyes began glowing a light blue color. DarkMoon then says with a low growl "if you put one paw on Kilpi, so help me I will attack you so fast, that you wouldn't even know what hit you. Do I make myself clear?"

Acribus;
Acribus threw his head back and laughed. The sound was grating, chilling, unsettling. Who did this young male think he was? Just who exactly did he think he was? Firstly, speaking to the Beta of any pack (let alone the most prominent Evil pack in the valley) like that was a stupid move. Secondly, speaking to a wolf like Acribus in such a way was even more foolish. DarkMoon didn't know it, couldn't, for he didn't know Acribus—but Acribus was the sort of wolf to fight and kill, even in situations where he knew he would not win. More than once, he had fought until blood loss and pain had made him black out. He glanced down at his paw, still scarred from when Deimos had crushed it. It wouldn't have been such a bad injury if he had treated it as such—but no. Acribus insisted on walking up the mountain to White Magic. By the time he had gotten there the bones had been grinding against each other. But pain was nothing to a wolf like Acribus.
He continued laughing—very clearly laughing at DarkMoon. His purple eyes shot to Kilpi, dragging over her frame. "You're staying the night with him, are you? And did you agree to that?" He looked back at the male, his broken voice simply shuddering with mirth. "Did you ask her to stay, or are you just assuming she will?" He licked his sharp teeth. He did not back down as DarkMoon shouldered past him; rather, he leaned toward him, eyes wide and menacing. DarkMoon said Acribus should leave before any of 'them' got hurt. Acribus could only assume DarkMoon meant him, which in itself was foolish, but her let it slide. The next thing the male said, however, Acribus could not ignore. He felt another burst of laughter bubble up from his ruined throat.
"Do you make yourself clear?" It was too much. Acribus' sides hurt from laughing. He had seen things that would make DarkMoon's skin crawl—and he had done worse. "Tell me, and I'm sure Kilpi wants to know as well... firstly, why can't I put a paw on her? What if she wanted me to? Do you have some sort of claim on her?" He grinned, his thin tail swaying behind him. "And lastly—what makes you think you can threaten me?"
His last words were said with no hint of laughter.

Everything went downhill fast. She was trailing slightly behind Darkmoon now, eyes flicking back and forth, a strange sort of tension building up in her chest cavity. It presssed on her rib cage like a bears gargantuan jaws were closing down on her with just enough pressure to keep her bones from snapping. Her breath came in short gasps, her body trembling slightly. Fighting to expand her lungs, she calmed herself, closing her eyes. Because of this she failed to see the dirty white hewolf lounging above Darkmoon's 'den.' Only when she heard his rough, rasp of a sneer did she open her eyes. And oddly, her anxiety vanished, apparently satisfied with seeing the reason for her 'freeze,' response. Most wolves thought of two responses to danger: fight or flight. But often they forgot the third, the more prey-like response. Freeze.
Darkmoon, valiantly-again, how can someone real be that valiant?- stood up the mocking evil wolf. She could only asssume he was such, he just had that...air...about him. Despite knowing this Kipling felt a sudden flash of relief crash over her like the waves on Kai Lake during a summer thunder storm. He asked Darkmoon if he was being to abrupt and forceful with her...which suddenly made a red flag spring up in her mind, one that she had neglected earlier. Taking a step back, her eyes narrowed, ears flicking rapidly to keep tabs on all possible threats.
Kilpi was taken aback when the white wolf addressed her directly, having assumed his main focus was on the other male. Which it was, but still, having two confrontations on one night after so many seasons of solitude shook her quite a bit. Tongue-tied, she spoke. "I-I had no intention of what you are implying...and...I think perhaps I will find my own den..." Kilpi paused and stuttered, hackles rising as threats were being passed back and forth. She was not a fool, she had no intention of fighting today. Despite her heavy-set build, she had never fought another wolf. At least not since she was tackling her sisters three years ago. At least she thought it was three...how long had it really been? "I don't want anyone's paws on me." She soar bluntly, bravery prickling up her spine, ruff rising defensively, a mixture of a snarl and a pout forming on her features.
