~Amaya Nightfall~ Being a loner, despite the opinion of many, was awesome. Amaya Nightfall was doing great on her own. She had just created her sixth den by Kai Lake, a piece of art in her opinion. She had created it large enough to fit around three wolves because space, for her, was a necessity. And that was one of the great things about being a loner, not having to deal with other wolves. She had six large dens scattered across the valley and no one to share them with. One might ask why she needed six dens. The truth was, she did not. She rotated dens every few days for the fun of it, walking being something she loved. And loners tend to have a lot of time on their hands when they're not hunting, so one of Amaya's hobbies was den digging. It felt great to have dens all over the valley. Like everywhere was her territory, and even when wolves would stumble across her "abandoned" dens and spend the night in them, she didn't mind for she had plenty others to spare. The lake had been a location she wanted to dig a den for quite a while, for one main reason. The animals. Things that lived in or near the water were vastly different from things that lived, say, deep in the woods, or high in the mountains, or across the barrens. Amaya had been stocking a magnifecent blue heron this autumn morning, but not for prey, just for observation. As easy as it would be to catch the heron, she restricted herself. Amaya could catch all the ducks she wanted, for more would show up later, but killing off this bird would be foolish of her. How could she value filling her stomach over witnessing a glorious bird in its natural habitat? Now the heron was perched on a rock, conveniently close to shore, allowing Amaya to view it from a bush near by. She picked at the remains of a goose she had caught, snacking on it as she observed the heron. The bird lowered its head slowly, closer to the water. After a moment of hesitation, its neck flexed like a cobra, striking the water. It pulled a large black fish up, and Amaya internally applauded the animal for its great catch. Amaya stalked closer, wanting a good view of the bird as it ate its fish. That was when she spotted a long blue plume, glinting silver in the sunlight. It must have fallen off the heron. Silently, Amaya padded forward, swiftly grabbing the treasure without being noticed. She would bring it to her den later, probably use it as a decoration. (( @faye ))

Kieran
Even the most evil, dark minded wolves could have happy thoughts. Mostly when their mental gears were grinding on what they wanted to do next, or after accomplishing a major goal in their life. Kieran's current joyful mood came from his acceptance into the Frigid Plauge, an evil pack. Evil did not nearly explain the dark velvet black wolf. His mind was so dark, some would call it demented. He was eager to use another wolves bad luck to his advantage. One of the truest senses of evil. Mind games.
With happy thoughts fluttering in his head, Kieran was exploring some of the land he had never came across before. He wanted to get to know the land thoroughly. Kieran had been trotting along next to a narrow creek. A gentle breeze surrounded the small wolf with a sweet, inviting scent. He followed the creek while thoughts ran through his head. I need to prove my loyalty to Perjury. My loyalty to Frigid Plague. These are my next goals, he thought to himself with confidence. But the question was how? Randomly killing would only make others think of him as crazy. Was crazy good for Kieran? Not yet. Kieran knew killing now wasn't the answer. He would do so for certain when it was the right time. Especially when it would benefit his pack the most.
Still following he creek, Kieran saw a beautiful blue heron. Then his stomach let out a painful growl. Drool started to drip from his pitch black maw. He wanted that bird. Crouching low, he started crawling in the direction of the heron. As he checked his surroundings, he saw another wolf. The female wolf was quite small and thin, and painted like the midnight sky. Maybe I should give her a little scare, hehe., Kieran thought with a giggle. He kept low, and slowly worked his way behind the she wolf. Sneaking around her was quite easy as she was in a deep trance while watching the blue bird. Once he was behind her, he placed his paw on her back to startle her.

Something startled the heron, and Amaya watched it take off and soar across the lake. Whoever said eagles looked majestic in flight, had obviously never seen a heron fly. She observed it, wondering if she had scared it, when she felt something touching her back.
She froze, gasping slightly, heart rate picking up, but she did not yip. Her instincts told her not to move or make a sound. If she couldn't see it, it couldn't see her. This was obviously quite foolish to think doing nothing would protect her, so she considered her situation for a moment. Turning around to get a glimpse of the thing would not help, dangerous or not. So she realized her best bet was to stop hesitating, and retreat. She frantically ran to the side, skidding as she turned, leaping into a bush. She made sure her plume was still with her, then turned to see what her attacker looked like.
He was a wolf. Just a wolf. Not a bear, nor a ghost of some sort, but a wolf. And she knew wolves could be dangerous from experience. Even if he was a potential friend, Amaya had little interest in meeting new wolves, so she ducked low waiting for his next move. She would run if he came closer, but she assured herself that if he meant harm, he would have attacked her. This was merely an innocent prank.

With the touch of Kieran's paw on her back, the she wolf went as still as a statue. Not a single muscle movement. Not even the slightest quiver. After a while she suddenly jolted up and ran into the nearby bush frantically. Kieran then saw her peeking through the foliage to take a glimpse of who touched her. The small black wolf fell to the warm, grassy floor. Rolling back and forth with laughter. "I was not expecting you to run away that quick. I must have really startled you haha!" the devilish wolf said with happiness. He loved to pick on others. Bringing his laughter to an end, he rolled to face the she wolf. "I am Kieran. And you are?', He asked hoping he could get her to come out of the bush that she was still hiding within. Kieran slowly got up of the ground. Stretching out his limbs as he did so. "Don't be shy, I won't bite" Kieran said with the most sly grin you had ever seen. Keeping a close watch on her, he waited to see how the she wolf would respond.

Amaya gave the he wolf a look of pure disdain as he rolled about in laughter, the kind mothers gave their pups to say 'I'm so disappointed in you'. He went on to talk about how he did not expect her to run away so fast. A harmless prank, just as she had suspected. He gave her his name, then asked for her own name. "Nightfall," she responded. "Amaya Nightfall." This was a name she was rather proud of. Amaya, meaning 'night rain' was given to her by her eldest brother before she left her pack for good. Nightfall, she gave herself because it sounded nice, and not many wolves had last names.
Kieran beckoned her closer, and she considered this for a moment. "I think I'm fine in my bush, thank you," she said. Even if he was friendly, she hated socializing beyond all else. Maybe, just maybe, if she ignored him, he would go away. So she turned away and shunned him.

With the least enthused look on her face, the she wolf introduced herself. Amaya, that's a cool name., Kieran thought to himself. While he pondered on the thought, the she wolf replied. "I think I'm fine in my bush, thank you.". As she turned away from him, Kieran let out a soft chuckle. "Well, then I guess I will join you." Trotting heavily into the dark green bush, Kieran sat right beside Amaya. He glanced to see her reaction. Hoping his actions were getting under her skin. Getting her frustrated. Kieran loved finding what made others uncomfortable and spitefully making sure he acted upon the matter. This was part of the reason his mind was so dark.

When Kieran joined her in the bush, Amaya began to grow frustrated. Being close to other wolves always made her uncomfortable, and she wanted to tell this bully, but she knew he was just trying to be a bother. How was she supposed to bird watch with this irritating wolf by her side? Ignoring him was not going to work. She decided to try her best to disallow him from realizing he bothered her, so she put on a calm face and turned to him. "I'm off to my den now," she said gently, almost sounding friendly, but her vibrant eyes showed small hints of frustration. "And I don't expect you to follow me."
Amaya picked up the silvery blue plume she had found, and padded out of the bush breezily, without looking back. Kieran was smart, but she was smarter, right? Of course she was. No one who went around picking on other wolves for entertainment was smart. It was a sign of ignorance, and one's own life being so messed up, that bullying is their only resort. But then something small suddenly pinched her, and she pushed away the sympathy. Amaya didn't care for other wolves, they had showed her nothing but hate for her whole life, and she especially didn't care for bullies.
She padded into her den, setting her feather down toward the back, then turning around to glance resentfully at Kieran through the entrance. She could not bird watch, but at least she was away from Kieran.

Kieran watched from a distance as Amaya settled down in to a den. The black velvet furred wolf lifted his snout to the air, sniffing to see if he could catch the scent of any other wolves that could possibly be dwelling in the same den. Nothing but the she wolf's scent was around. Well, this is quite boring. I need to get her out of there. Maybe I can catch a quick meal and use it to lure her out. Kieran thought. He also knew he had to do something to prove his loyalty to darkness. Something to show of just how evil he could become. Maybe once I lure Amaya out, I can attack her. There are no other wolves around, so it would just be one on one. I can do that. The wolf wandered of in search of a hasty kill. Padding along quietly, he looked over the area to see what prey might be around.
Kieran came across a small bush. The bush stood out in particular because it was slightly moving. Kieran got low to the ground, starting to half crawl towards the possible prey. As he slowly inched forward, a small brown critter hopped out from the bush frantically. Before his eyes could even check to see what it was his maw was already over the animal. As it squirmed, trying to free itself from the jaws of it's killer, Kieran kept a tight jaw around the prey. Quickly it's movements became slower and slower, until it eventually stopped moving altogether. The wolf dropped the prey before himself to see what he had caught. "Ah, rabbit. One of my favorite dinners." he said in a hushed yet excited tone.
He picked up the kill in his mouth and went forth with his evil plan. As he was walking, he could feel warm blood trickling from the rabbit's limp body. The taste was driving him crazy. Now he just wanted to eat it. But he knew he had to prove himself to his pack. Kieran neared the den, dropping the rabbit about a yard from the entrance. That should be plenty of room for me to make my move. he then waited for Amaya to make her own move. That is if she moved at all for the fresh kill. "Hungry?" he asked with the most dark intentions.

Amaya began to drift into a nap, though she could tell Kieran was still outside her den, poking around at bushes or something. She awoke later to the smell of fresh prey just outside her den's entrance, then the sound of Kieran's voice offering it to her. She stretched out her body easily with such a spacious den and such a petite build, then padded up to the entrance to peek at what was there. It was a rabbit, and Amaya was feeling fairly hungry, but she was not going to be taken for a fool by this prankster. He was probably waiting to splash cold water on her or something once she was lured out by the smell of fresh prey. He didn't seriously think she would fall for another gag like that again, did he?
Then again, Amaya was not going to hide in her den forever, and it seemed Kieran would not be going anywhere anytime soon. So she decided that if he was going to splash cold water on her, that would be okay, as long as she was successful in shooing him off her property.
But a thought occurred to her. Maybe this really was a kind gesture. Maybe Kieran was genuinely offering her something to eat. Were the pranks just his way of being friendly? Amaya had little experience with friendships, so she wouldn't know playfulness when she saw it. And perhaps, this was his apology for being rude. Amaya shook her head. Of course Kieran was not being nice. That was not the way of wolves. And even if he was, she would never want anything to do with him, or with wolves in general for that matter. So asking him to leave would be her only option, nicely at first, but a little more vicious if he was uncooperative.
She strode out of her den and stood over the rabbit without touching it.
"Okay, prankster, it's about time you get going now."

As Kieran kept a close watch on the she wolf's each movement as she walked out of her den, his heart rate slowly picked up with his excitement rising. Amaya stood over the fresh kill. "Okay, prankster, it's about time you get going now." she said, trying to get Kieran to leave the area. That was not going to work. Kieran had a plan, a plan he was going to see through to the end. The wolf slightly tilted his head while a sly grin crept across his maw. "I don't have to listen to a stranger" the small, black wolf said in the deepest voice he had ever spoke. Kieran bared his teeth to Amaya. Then with fast and steady feet he lunged at the she wolf, grabbing the back of her neck with his pearly white teeth.

At the sound of the mysterious wolf's voice, Amaya turned warily. It was not what he said that made her skin crawl, but how he said it. The tone he used was something hostile, making her muscles tense up. A new sort of insanity flickered in his round amber eyes, but she certainly was not expecting what came next.
Of all the predictions she had made—dumping water on her, dumping some other substance on her, or even it all being no more than a friendly gesture—Amaya never would have guessed Kieran would lunge at her so suddenly, sinking his teeth into her flesh. She was unprepared, and wasn't quite sure how to react. She dropped to the ground, letting the attacker tear through her neck, but failed to make a sound. A cry of pain crawled up her throat, but stopped at her lip, and she said nothing. She was nothing more than a limp fearful body in Kieran's jaw. Her eyes teared up, but she shut them tight, and one thought pounded in her brain.
I'm going to die, right here, right now.
It all happened so fast, she couldn't think right, but eventually reality caught up to her. What are you doing!? a side of her screamed, and she realized she had to take action now, or die.
Amaya was smart enough not to twist or turn so that deep cuts would be her only injury, no broken or twisted bones. A plan came to mind, a crazy one. Even though it felt wrong, like she was heading for more danger, she pushed her neck harder into his jaw. In her mind, she studied the layout of the trees behind the two wolves, or at least what she could remember of it. She dug her legs into the ground for dear life, her plan to push him into a tree and perhaps cause him to loosen his grip. Then she would make a run for it. She was small, but so was Kieran. Hopefully he was light enough for Amaya to be able to push him, despite her lack of physical strength.

Piercing the she wolf's pelt with his teeth, Kieran could taste the blood that trickled out of the puncture wounds he made. Sinster laughs filled his evil mind. Bringing pain to another truly did make him happy. He hoped his pack would find his actions admirable and hoped they would be proud of the wolf. As countless thoughts ran through his mind, he looked down to the she wolf. Even though he was hurting her, she didn't budge. No movement whatsoever. "Does she want to die? Why isn't she trying to get away from me? Why won't she fight me?" Kieran asked himself with much confusion about the matter. But then suddenly, there was movement from Amaya.
With Kieran's tight grip around the back of her neck, the she wolf unexpectedly pushed her neck further into the wolf's maw. Kieran was in complete shock. Out of confusion, The small black wolf loosened his jaw. He dug his claws into the ground to brace himself. "Are you gonna fight back or what?! he tried to say to Amaya, but it was mostly muffled.

.:Amaya succeeds in pushing Kieran back, but only about a foot. Kieran has lost his grip on her and she is now free of his jaws:.

Amaya's attacker no longer had his jaw clamped around her neck, but without a doubt Kieran would lunge at her again in a moment. Amaya could run, but she would not make it far with all this blood loss, and Kieran would likely be able to catch her in this wounded state. Amaya swiveled around, deciding her best bet was to fight back. She took a lesson from some mountain lions she'd seen in the past, arching her back to make herself look larger, then baring her teeth.
If someone was going to make a move, it was better Amaya be first, so she lowered her body, then sprung forward, aiming to push Kieran to the ground. It was a long shot, Amaya having zero fighting experience aside from being pushed around by siblings when she was young. But she would attempt to rip this wolf's throat out. Perhaps this would be the first time Amaya killed a wolf. Since the opportunity had never presented itself, she had never formed an opinion on whether killing was right or wrong, but now was as good a time as ever. Kieran was harassing her. She had every right to kill him.

OOC : I am so sorry!! I totally misunderstood how the modded fight worked. This is my first :/
Amaya had somehow freed herself from Keiran's maw. "Now is she gonna fight back, or just let me kill her?" As soon as that thought left the small dark wolf's mind, Amaya had jumped towards Kieran. As she landed on the wolf, the force of her jump sent Kieran to the ground. Kieran's mind was instantly filled with evil laughs. "Does she think she is going to kill me? How could she possibly think that. I know I don't know her, but honestly this one doesn't come off as the fighting type." Keeping his guard up, Kieran let Amaya pin him to the ground. If she did try to attack, he would find away to counter.
