Dent sat next to the water, attempting not to take a lap of the water again. "I just drank some two minutes ago!" The wolf scolded herself, standing up to walk away, instead starting to slip. Dent sighed, back paws and torso in the water already. "Here we go again..." Dent growled before falling in.

When Dent got out of the water, the wolf was angry. She was wet. "I hate being wet!" The she-wolf snapped, shaking some of the water off. "I'm so angry. And to add to that matter, famished!" Dent sat down and ground, laying down and curling up into a ball, and drifted off to a sleep.

Skyla:
The orange glow of the sun blended with her own sunset eyes. After a brisk stroll she had made her way to the giant crater that is Meadow's Edge Basin. It was a little on the slippery side due to the recent Autumn rain but it did not bother her in the slightest. It's time to meet a new wolf! I hope there is someone here. Her radiant and hopeful smile was as large as ever, her excitement for a new acquaintance impossible to hide. Her bright eyes scanned the horizon for a figure or shape. No such luck was on her side. But this didn't bring her hopes down. She was sure she would stumble on a new face someday. As she trotted slowly along a path of auburn leaves and wild grasses. She flicked her head and gaze upwards towards the sky above dotted with an occasional shining star accompanied by a bright crescent moon spread with a blanket of translucent clouds. What a beautiful night!

Shortly after the calming thought a few rustles sound out somewhere nearby. Instantly, her ears twist and turn in anticipation. Her nostrils flared and her eyes searched the large bowl of water. A shadow like figure was curled at the edge of the massive basin. She couldn't quite make out if it was really something or just her imagination. With curiosity building within her she couldn't help but stroll over to investigate the matter further. As she neared the shadow ball she was able to make out basic details, it seemed like a medium creature of some sort that was resting by the edge. With a few more pawsteps, she had finally made her way to the curled figure. With a flick of her ears she hopped on the spot slightly. Yes! It's a wolf! It's a wolf! With a tilt of her head she determined that this wolf was definitely fast asleep, she gave a sideways smile. Better leave them be for now. We'll talk in the morning. With that, she plopped herself down on a soft patch of grass and curled herself into a ocean blue fur ball. It was time for sleep.

When Dent woke up, she looked at the wolf and got up quickly, stepping back to the wall as far as she can, trying hard not to whimper, howl, or whine, just in case she would wake the wolf up. She sat down and looked at the wolf carefully. She didn't dare to move closer to the wolf, no matter how hungry, or thirsty. She would stand there all of her lifetime if she needed to. This is just the PERFECT morning, Dent thought to herself. Dent slowly but shortly reached over to the opposite side of the basin, away from the wolf, and drank a bit. Then she sat down and curled up, pretending to sleep. Maybe i'll trick them. Dent thought.

Skyla:
Her dream was a quiet one, in fact, there was no sound and only darkness. It seemed she had chosen one of the softest patches of grass for she was fairly comfortable and didn't intend to move for a fair while. So, the she wolf just lied there partly awake. A slight breeze from the real world rustled her ocean fur and almost made her shiver. It was definitely coming into cooler weather. Just as the breeze blew, something sparked in her mind. The wolf! The stranger she had seen sleeping was someone she wanted to meet. This snapped her awake. Her eyes opened in a flash revealing her sunset eyes underneath her once closed eyelids. The female was slightly drowsy from sleep but she tried to ignore the feeling. She wondered slightly what they would be like. Who cares what they are like just go and meet them! With a encouraging thought in mind, she stumbled to her cream paws which were numb from sleep.

The she wolf blinked out sleep and swiftly scanned for a sign of the dark fur she had seen when she had first arrived. Then she spotted it, the pile of fur had moved! With light steps, she strolled over to the wolf as casually as she could muster. She craned her head to getter better look at the wolf, but kept a little bit of distance to give them some space. It seemed they were sleeping still, which gave her a question to think about. Why did they move? Did they go for a stroll and then decide to sleep here instead? Did it really matter? No, in the end it didn't really matter to her why or how this wolf had moved, just that they were still here. She didn't particularly want to wake them in all fairness but she was oh so curious to who they were. She gave a quiet whine to test if she was half awake or really deep in sleep. Of course, the she wolf hoped they were on the half awake side because she wanted to talk, chat and find out so much more! All she had to do now was wait for a reply.

Dent had to try her hardest not to move an inch. She was hoping that she would not notice that she is actually awake. She almost whined in how bad she thought what the wolf would be like. She could be mean, rude... Dent thought. Filled with hatred....Can she really be good? I've never met a good wolf in a while. Dent whined for just a second, and she hoped with all of her heart that the wolf near her didn't hear. Maybe she will think im having a nightmare or something... Dent thought. She whined a bit more but then continued to pretend to sleep.

Skyla:
The curious she wolf tilted her head to try and get a better look at the female. She was blue mostly, a lot like herself and had a red star on her cheek. She didn't really want to be rude, but she really did want to chat with this interesting looking wolf. A small whine from the other blue coated female could be heard. Maybe she is having nightmares? I am sure she will make it through! But wait... What if she is awake?! A slight wag of her tail expressed her hope and happiness at the last thought. With a light step toward the lying wolf, she gave out another welcoming whine. She hoped this would be taken as not a threat, but a friendly invitation. Then, the she wolf dipped her head and gave the other wolf a soft nudge with her maw.

Please, I don't mean to anger you. The bright she wolf thought. I only seek to make friends... Every thought was her real intention, which barely ever lied. With an accidental whine, she seated herself upon her rump and waited for the she wolf to respond to her light whines and a small nudge. Her nose twitched with a cool breeze that brought in many scents, fresh ones. Leaves, forest critters, sap and rippling grass. No matter the outcome, the she wolf was ever so likely to never stop smiling. After all, it was the other wolf's choice if they also wanted to chat with her or not. Patience was something that was on her side, she had a fair bit of it. Of course now, all she had to do was wait.

Dent peeked out a bit, and then stood up, tired of trying to pretend to sleep. Now what do I do? She thought, and then she looked at the wolf. She whined a bit then curled into a protective position, scared of the wolf. I hope she isn't mean. She thought before looking back at the wolf still scared. I wish I had a pack, Dent thought. It would be handy.

She whines one more time before sitting up, quickly then curling back up, still watching the wolf. She looks nice but looks can be deceiving. Dent thought. She went a bit closer to the wall and whined once more.

Skyla:
The stranger had finally started to show signs of awareness to her presence. As the female's eyes slowly fluttered open, Skyla swarmed with excitement and joy. Someone to talk to! Someone to meet, finally! She gave a small, but genuine grin showing her true delight. Many whines had escaped the other female and she wondered why. Maybe it was something to do with her nighmare? She dismissed the thoughts of the possibilities and continued to greet the wolf in her company. "Hey there, I am Skyla just so you know." With a tone full of warmth and welcome, who would take this Good she wolf the wrong way? Unconsciously, her tail had started to wag back and forth at a slow pace, stopping and going at random moments. It was impossible to hide the joy that bounded and leaped within her. A new friend! New company! She was probably going a bit too fast for friend, but all the same the blue coated she wolf did not mind one bit.

There was a slight breeze, it rippled her thick coat and brought in new scents. Maybe it would be a good time to grab a light snack. "Are you hungry? If you are I wouldn't mind going to hunt for something to eat." The she wolf offered, giving her all the help she could possibly give. "I can smell a small home of rabbits, not far from here. I am sure we could catch them." She added as a side note. "Unless you are some sort of herbivore of course." She chuckled slightly, rabbits were slightly cute. But all the same they were a good snack as long as you didn't scare the living daylights out of them.

Dent went a bit less off guard, but she whimpered.
"H...hi.." She stutters, "N...no...thanks...im not....hungry..." she actually was hungry, starving to be exact, but she did not care anymore. She didn't know who this wolf was, and for that matter, thirsty. Dent took a lap of water, then looked back at the wolf, and reminded herself, looks can be deceiving.

"Thats true.." Dent thought out loud. She didn't notice that she had thought out loud.
Dent frowned a bit, wondering what could be the outcomes of this encounter. Could it be the last encounter I ever have? She thought.

Skyla:
She perked her ears in interest, the female stranger had finally begun to speak, with a stutter but at least she was talking to her now! When she had offered to hunt something, she had politely declined. The stranger still had that same stutter when she had first spoken. Skyla didn't want to be pushy, but once again curiosity had gotten the better of her and a new question slipped. "Are you ok? You seem..." She cut herself off there, considering for a second what her last word would be. "Nervous." She finished with hoping she hadn't just made an out right mistake, oh well. "I get that I am a stranger, but I do not wish to hurt you." She spoke truth and only truth. She chuckled at herself."Heck, guess you have no reason to trust a word that comes out of this mouth. These words probably mean nothing to you." Her head was filled with hysterical laughter at what she had said. This she wolf probably didn't believe a word she had said, let alone listened. She made herself comfortable by sitting casually on her rump in front of the wolf.

"Enough about my random questions! I would love to hear a bit about you, of course, if you don't exactly feel up to it... I could always let it slide." The Good she wolf swore that she was probably going to scare off the other female at this rate. But it was already too late to take it all back. She would just have to improvise and hope she wouldn't corrupt this delicate aquatinted relationship she had built. Her orange eyes rolled around in her sockets finding other things to look at to try and not seem too intimidating with direct eye contact. God, she had to make it difficult for herself, hadn't she? Despite this, her trademark smile never faded. You couldn't make it anywhere in life without challenges stepping in your way, could you? Yeah, having to improvise was just one of those hurdles the she wolf had to get over.

Dent looked at Skyla and thought a bit, before saying "My name is Dent."
She looked at the water and got lost deep in her thoughts.
Deeper then the water was.
Dent sat down and just kept looking at the water.
Dent was thinking about what the outcomes of this meeting could be.
She thought back on what happened, what she thought of before, and what could happen.
Dent never looked back at Skyla.
She also wondered if they were meant to be friends or meant to be enemies.
Every wolf another wolf meets, there is a relationship that there is meant to be between them.

JACOB-
Jacob walks into the basin, while looking at the 2 blue-furred wolves in front of him. He walks over to then and smiles. "Hello there, girls." he said. "How are you today?"

Inside of Jacob's mind, he was laughing. Just two more victims to my bloodlust. His smile grew bigger, only this time it was genuine. I could act like im a good wolf, hehe.

"My name is Jacob. You two are?" Jacob looked back and forth to the two wolves, while holding in a laugh. Luckily he was a good actor, otherwise he would have been caught from the start.

Skyla:
The other she-wolf stared for a while just at her, nothing else, just the random wolf that was herself. It was odd to have someone stare at her so intently and no one had ever done so. She wondered why, but still shoved the thought away so that she could hear them speak. The wolf stated their name, Dent. It was sure different. Original. But all the same a name was a name, nothing really mattered about it. The blue coated she-wolf opened her mouth to speak only to find that they were now using their intent gaze elsewhere. More specifically, into the bowl of water just beside them. Skyla raised a paw and swiped flicked it to the side, batting away the thought of introducing herself. She would just have to wait, although she wasn't the most pastime to if all wolves, she would be able to wait a little.

A tap of paw-steps in the soil excites her and she looks to her left to see a largely built male approached in the near distance, a smile spread across his maw as he did so. "Hello there, girls." The male said simply to address the pair. "How are you today?" Skyla stuck out a tongue at him, all in good humour. "Great thanks. How about you mister blood-bath?" As always, she did not mean it as an insult, only referring to his coat colour. Not long after his own question, his smile widened. Skyla did not care for why he was smiling, only that he was. So she joined in, for no reason at all, her smile wider than his.

"My name is Jacob. You two are?" She licked her lips, grin wide as ever. Jacob. Why have such a silly name I have such a good one for him! Although she wanted some more laughs, she still introduced herself normally. But that didn't mean the she-wolf couldn't include his new nickname as she said it. "Name's Skyla oh and also, just for the record, I like blood-bath better for you." She no longer held her laugh in, giggling just slightly. His eyes flicked from Dent to her and back the other way. She traded him a bright, goofy smile, which happened to be a little lopsided.

I just read through some of our older posts and noticed that I said that she was a 'good sided wolf', she is nice and all but I accidentally got it mixed up with another character of mine! Oops, she is neutral so there is a possibility if her being Good I guess though. Sorry about that.

DENT- Dent decides to run out of the basin (eh, Exit Dust I guess. Is that what I say?)

JACOB- Jacob snarls and takes a step towards Skyla. "What did you call me? Repeat that PLEASE." Jacob's smile had slowly faded away at the name 'Blood Bath'. He took another step towards the other wolf. "I hope you don't think that was FUNNY, do you?" Jacob took another step, also taking a breath and stopping. "Stupid other wolves.." he murmurs quietly. He takes 4 steps back and sits with his eyes closed.

In the corner of her eye she catches a figure moving, Dent. She was onto her feet instantly, Skyla realised that she sprinting away from her and Jacob. "Dent! Wait! Don't..." The female's voice trailed off after her shouting and she shook her head. It was useless, she probably couldn't hear her, at best, she would be ignoring her anyway. Not like she would come back, they weren't even close enough to be friends. She heard a harsh snarl escape the male's jaws and her eyes set on his with a small reaction of suprise. As he did so, he spoke and stride forward a few steps. "What did you call me? Repeat that PLEASE." She didn't blink, react, back away, just simply sat there plainly without a care. I hope you don't think that was FUNNY, do you?" At that, she giggled. It was obvious answer wasn't it? If she was laughing, didn't that mean she did think it was funny? It was just simple logic really, even idiot wolves should of been able to spot this sign. "As a matter of fact, I do!" The she wolf proclaimed proudly and puffed out her chest slightly. She heard him breathe clearly before stopping in front of her, just missing his muttered words. More than likely that they were some kind of insult, but she honestly didn't mind. "And, it quite fits, don't you think? I mean— She couldn't help but take a break to laugh slightly again. "—you do have quite the matching coat."
