Earendil was lying on his side watching the rushing waterfall. He was slightly bored but unwilling to leave the water. There wasn't a breeze to ruffle his midnight blue coat and his blue silver eyes were half closed. Today was one of his calmer days. He dipped a paw into the water and slightly stirred it. His tail flicked making the black tip more obvious. He breathed deeply then let it out. His mind cleared. There were no thoughts. It was like looking at a blank sheet of paper. The sky wasn't overcast but it wasn't sunny either. He hated days like this. It was warm, too warm. The air felt like it was closing in all around them. You could almost feel the rain coming. Sighing Earendil let his eyes close fully and curled up. He looked like he was sleeping but he wasn't. He was waiting.

Kilpi was unsettled. Who wouldnt be after such an eventful night. The russet shewolf had been a wanderer for most of her life, completely alone for the past few years. So when she met a strange wolf she didn't know how to react, consequently she didn't act at all. He had offered her shelter in his den, and Kilpi, not knowing the ways of wolves agreed. She followed him to her den but they were interrupted when another male entered. He proceeded to accost Darkmoon, scolding him on being inconsiderate and...a creep? Kilpi finally got her head screwed on straight and promptly left, not wanting any part of the oncoming fight. She still felt bad for Darkmoon, but didnt feel compelled to do anything about it. She had walked briskly all night, and now regretted it. Despite her travel worn legs, she felt tired; perhaps it was the sun. It was autumn and the sun was unusually warm. It beat down on her with spiteful rays, its heat amplified by suffocating humidity.
She was about to collapse next to the river and dip her paws in its cool current when she spotted another wolf. He was a dark indigo, he seemed to be asleep, maybe she could get away before he woke up, or maybe she could just...take a short...short nap...
She eased herself to the earth, keeping her blue eye on him as she closed the green, wary, but too tired to do anything about it.

Earendil's ears flicked in the direction in the direction of the other wolf. The wolf was tired, he could tell from the faltering and rather weary sounding padding of feet. Smelled like a female. If she came to sleep she came to the right place. He wouldn't bother her overmuch. He wasn't a big talker after all. The gentle lapping of the water and the warmth of the sun were both productive to sleep. It was slightly cooler here than some places but more humid. He waved his tail one more time then stood up. Stretching he cracked his muscles and yawned. Then blinking he cleared the fog out of his eyes. The russet she-wolf was not a threat to him so he would not be a threat to her. Hopefully, she didn't have anyone following her that would be a threat. He was gonna introduce himself then rest for a while before seeing if he could pull himself from the water. She was weary of travel and wary of him. "Name's Earendil. You can rest here. There are no enemies and I have no interest in anything besides the water."

(I'm just going to pick up where the roleplay in Love Forest left off after Kilpi left. And by the way, Meds apologized for interrupting our roleplay, Shiver. I just wanted to let you know that. ) DarkMoon ran out of his den after Acribus gave him mercy and left. He ran to the Wildwater Falls where he spotted two wolves. One was Kilpi, he definitely could spot her out from a crowd... but the other, a strange male, he didn't recognize at all. DarkMoon decided that he should walk up and apologize to Kilpi for what had happened the night before. He began to walk to the waters edge and walked into the water. After it got deep enough, DarkMoon then swam to where Kilpi and the male were at. DarkMoon says "excuse me, pardon my interruption, but Kilpi, may I talk to you for a moment? It's really important, and it involves what happened last night."

Earendil looked at the newcomer. He had previous business with the other wolf. He didn't want to know the details though. H elooked at the water then jumped in. "If you want to talk to her don't let me stop you. Just know this, if you wanna see if you can fight me, keep in mind it would be quite easy to drown you. Earendil snarled. His mood had changed in the time it took for this wolf to come. He was no longer feeling very nice. He wouldn't hurt this wolf... yet. He sank below the water then came out on the other side.
((Just so you know, Earendil's moods change form second to second. He won't hurt anyone though unless you provoke him.))

(That's ok, DarkMoon can handle it, he's used to people like Earendil. XD)
DarkMoon says while backing up a little "Woah now, calm down, I didn't come here for a fight." He then says "Look, I've had a long night, and I was just wanting to apologize to Kilpi for something that happened between her and I. I promise that the matter doesn't have anything to do with you." DarkMoon then got out of the water and shook off his fur, making him look like a giant fluff ball. "Well, now this is a little embarrassing..." he says with a slight chuckle. He then rolled around in the grass to help make his fur go down.

Kilpi nodded once, closing her other eye at the other wolf's reassurance. She couldn't trust him of course, but she hoped he wasn't lying. Why would he, he had nothing to gain. Taking deep, slow, expansive breaths, she was about to fall asleep when a dark wolf re-entered her life. After the initial surprise came exasperation. Her eyes flashed open, the burst of light sending black spots in her vision. He had followed her here, quite expertly at that. Annoyance flared and she sighed, ticked off. But then he had asked to speak with her so nicely...Heck it! She wasn't a good wolf, she could be impolite sometimes. however it seemed like the sleeping wolf beat her to it, mirroring the behavior of the wolf from last night. A wave of guilt and pity pecked at her skull, pleading with her to acknowledge it. Darkmoon had been going through a lot of stuff these last hours, maybe she could give him a break, even though she was tempted not to.
Keeping an eye on the blue male on the other side of the river, Kilpi trotted over to Darkmoon. "Come on, we can talk by the falls." Over by the thundering waterfall they could talk in peace, the roar loud enough to muffle any and all conversation save for if they were in close contact. Kilpi took the lead, padding towards the base of the falls. Turning to Darkmoon, she spoke first. "Okay, i'm just letting you know before you start spouting, a wolf like you would have much better luck in a pack. There are plenty of young shewolves longing for someone like you to sweep them off their feet. Me...i've been a loner all my life, and I don't think our first impressions really helped any endeavor you might've had concerning me."

DarkMoon listened to every word that Kilpi was saying. Once she stopped talking, he makes full eye contact with her and says "I hope we can come to terms after what happened last night, I should have just ignored Acribus instead of engaging in an argument. Because, you see, I have a special ability, and before I tell you what it is, you have to promise me that you will keep it a secret." He then sat down on the rock that Kilpi and him were on. (Is it ok if DarkMoon has the ability to speak to the dead, or is that not allowed on here?)

((Just popping in to say that since we have ghost characters here, most wolves can technically speak to the dead as long as there's a ghost there to talk to. So it's not really a special ability, but I guess you could have Darkmoon think that it is. ^^))

(Ok, and DarkMoon has a mate who was killed, do I have to make a profile for her as well, or does she not need a profile?)

(All ghost characters need a profile just like regular characters. Please be sure that you read up on the "Ghosts" section of the rules so that you know what ghosts can and can't do!)

Earendil grumbled. Whoop to do. They come here and interrupted him then act as though this is their land. Shrugging the agitation out of his mind he sank back in the water. He was a little regretful of the way he had treated the dark wolf. He wasn't able to pick and choose who he snapped at. Popping back up to the place where he had first started out he jumped onto the bank and shook his fur out. Settling down he glanced at the odd little pair by the falls. Looking at them just reminded that he was annoyed at them for their noise. Sighing he closed his eyes and blanked his mind. They might have thought that they were out of hearing distance but he had spent so much time near the water that he could hear even tiny sounds over the roar of water. He rolled his eyes at the dark wolf's statement of special powers. Laughing sadistically at that he curled into a ball.

Kilpi averted her eyes, accidentally laying eyes on the other wolf beyond the falls. He intrigued her, but right now she had to deal with Darkmoon. "Let's start over then," The shewolf squared her shoulders and dipped her head, waving her tail in greeting. "Hey there, i'm Kilpi." The smaller shewolf took a step back, ready to accept his introduction, but the ground was slick of wet moss and smooth stone, her paws slipped and she fell into the falls. It was a short fall.
Kilpi's mind was flooded like her lungs. Her eyes went wide as she splashed under. She struggled to swim to the surface, but the thundering water cascaded threateningly on her, forcing her down to the bottom of the rivulet her head bashed against a rock as the pressure flung her body down. Spots clouded her vision and her body went limp. the falls, once beautiful and serene, now murderously turned against her, viciously thrashing her against the rocks, bruising and breaking her body. the falls themselves filling her nose, mouth and belly...
9hey just letting you know, if your wolf wants to save her, it will likely take a long post or two posts worth. i think it would be best if we kept it realistic, so no "He jumps in and swiftly saves her from the depths, the water doesn't harm him!" So just try to be realistic okay? sorry if i come off as rude XD i wan't planning on drowning her but i figured we needed some action.)

DarkMoon sees her fall into the water. "No! Oh no... I've got to help save her..." he says in his mind. DarkMoon then took a deep breath and went into the water after her. He spots her, but the force of the waterfall kept dragging him down and away from her. He struggled hard to fight against the thrashing current of the waterfall. "I can't quit now... God give me strength to help me save Kilpi from her watery doom..." DarkMoon says in his mind. Suddenly, he feels a burst of adrenaline and he began to gain headway, nearing closer and closer to her. DarkMoon then gets close enough to her to grab the scruff of her fur and begins to push harder, but now, he was pushing upwards, towards the surface of the water on the other side of the waterfall. He makes his way up and makes it to the surface. DarkMoon then swam to the shore and dragged her onto dry land. He then called over to Earendil and says "hey! I need a little help over here! Kilpi just drowned!" (Is this good enough, or should I add more? XD)

(Kay) Earendil sat up and looked at the wolf then looked at the waterlogged pelt of Kilpi. He rolled the russet one onto her side. Looking up at Darkmoon he thought about the situation for a moment. Then he asked the question that could change his attitude towards both wolves. "Why? Why should I help either one of you? And barring that what's to stop me from throwing you both back in the water and leaving?I'm not a good wolf but I'm not evil either. Give me a reason beyond generosity and goodness and I'll gladly help you revive her." Earendil find this wolf funny. He was young and thought himself entitled to help. The she wolf would be okay for another couple minutes at most so hopefully, he would figure something out or he could always try to help her breathe himself. "Or if you decide that you don't want my help you could always revive her yourself. If you can figure out how to do so without making things worse."
