Story of the Great Missing of 14' or 13'

I'm sure that you bunch have heard me talk about it on occasion, but the full story... Oh, it's a good one! So gather round' pups, and Elder Tear shall tell you a tale...



I had only just become active.

I was still doing 2-3 sentences, Shiv had 13 posts and Ryk was still a great artist. But this was when she was known as Dogz and I Pittypat. (Shiv was still Shiv)

There was a mating thread, the first since the Mods left. And Dogz made the three pups, her first litter. Shiv popped in, and she had a great idea. Backup mods to do modly duties while the titled mods were gone, and we democratically elected Shiv and Dogz. Shiv did most of the acceptance post, while Dogz took the puppies.

So life fell into a routine, until Cas came back and made our backups official mods. And they are now our two most beloved staff members, along with Fier and Meds. Cinder too. We love them all.

XD That was a wacky, uncertain time! We had no idea if anything we were doing was okay. The staff disappeared right around when I joined so I had no clue how staffing worked, especially since my origins are from sites with basically no rules. We even tried to resurrect a stillborn pup! I remember going through all the unanswered become threads to give as many as qualified the thumbs up. Looking back, I realize accepted many that weren't ready for acceptance. Dewdrops was also kinda a temporary mod. She was sort of inactive at the time of the election, but she stepped in sometimes to correct stuff since she was basically the only one around long enough to have a good understanding of the modly duties. Also, that old puppy art... *cringes so hard*

I. Was. Such. A. Noob.

I had joined a little while before Ryk (I introduced her to WWM! You're welcome) and I didn't really know what was going on...I was like 13...12... something like that. The staff had virtually disappeared and so I thought I was so great when I put up that "new staff" thread. Lmao, I thought I was so noble for having a democracy.

I still remember how salty I was when Rykett was made a staffer before me. But in hindsight she really took responsibility and initiative, I was just kinda moral support lol.

Heck, I'm still kinda lax on my duties.
