emorliA few hours earlierChhaya wondered what the rabbit felt as she watched her brother's maw close over it's throat. Did it think about things it had done, it's home, maybe a few of the rabbit path's it had constructed? Did it imagine all the other times when it had just barely managed to escape the snapping jaw of a wolf giving chase? She noticed movement in the long grasses surrounding them and tried to pinpoint it. She noticed it again and went to investigate, not thinking about telling her brother where she was heading. She figured that they'd meet up later, after she discovered what was moving around in the grass. She shivered in anticipation and intrigue and went off to chase the animal hiding in the surrounding vegetation. KiranKiran lay in the tall grass worrying about Chhaya. They had become separated on their hunt earlier and now he was waiting in the surrounding land to see if Chhaya would find him. She was absent minded and sometimes couldn't tell the difference between her tail and a tree, so Kiran had reason to worry. He stood and paced in a circle anxiety getting the better of him. What if she stumbles into a river and drowns? What if she finds another wolf and offends them? Kiran's thoughts went on and on like this, imagining all the scenarios where Chhaya could get hurt. He sat down again and tried to distract himself from the never ending possibilities. He loved his sister but sometimes she just didn't pay enough attention to her surroundings. He figured that she was probably wandering in a daze as usual, lost in her own world. That was most likely how they had become separated in the first place. She'd most likely been dreaming about something and strayed away from the path when he had caught the rabbit he now had in his stomach. Although they normally ate together there were times such as this one when they weren't around each other and so they ate separately. He hoped that Chhaya at least had enough presence of mind to catch her something for dinner. He lay down and settled his paws on his resolving to wait until morning before going to find her. He determined that if she wasn't back by that time there was something wrong.

Spotting a pair of wolves near the area that Juno usually finds her meals, intrigues her. Usually, she would only see a few rabbits making their way back to their burrow, but never any wolves. Being friendly and excitable was, what Juno considers her best traits, and those traits mixed with curiosity sent her to investigate the two.
As she moves closer her stomach twists with anxiousness. She bends her limbs allowing her to hide in the tall grass surrounding them creating a little movement. Getting closer she takes in the features of each wolf, a smaller watermelon colored wolf who was walking slightly slower than the other purple wolf. Their markings are definitely interesting and how the two move intrigues Juno even more.
Watching a bit longer, the purple wolf finally gets something to eat which makes Juno smile. She then turns her attention to the other wolf who seems slightly uninterested. Juno moves to the side to get a better view of their faces, not thinking about the movement she creates. The green wolf looks in her direction, and she moves in her direction. Juno runs in a random direction ending up in a small open area. She looks around for a good place to hide, anxiety getting the best of her, she isn't quick enough. The wolf is now facing her. She looks back at the wolf and laughs awkwardly, probably not the best response in this situation, "Uh.... Haha.... Hello..." Juno awkwardly smiles toward the wolf awaiting a reaction, preparing for a fight.

Chhaya Chhaya soon found the source of the movement in the grass but she wasn't pleased with it. "Oh, it's you." She said this as if she knew the wolf and in her mind she did. In her mind she had already tested this wolf and found it lacking. Another wolf. She had wasted her time trying to find another wolf! She huffed and turned her attention to the wolf. It was blue and white with red markings and was obviously unsure of herself. Chhaya scoffed and harrumphed.
"What do you think you're doing here?" She was acting as if she owned the land they were on to try and get a rise out of this newcomer. She wanted a thrill even if she had chased something that had turned out to be just another annoying being. They would probably just try and control her life, tell her what to do, just like her brother Kiran. She growled and imagined what he would do in this situation. Probably try and make friends with this boring wolf. Then when they were buddies he would invite the wolf to spend the night with them. That sap.
She shook her head at the other wolf. She paced around it sniffing it. She smiled a smile that bared her teeth. From looking at the other wolf she felt that it would most likely be good. Another reason why it and her brother would most likely be fast friends. She shook her head again and turned to go and find her brother, hoping that he would have the decency to have saved her some of the rabbit he had caught.

Listening to the wolf make ridiculous statements did annoy Juno, but more confused her. She watches the wolf turn around and walk the other way, probably heading back to the other wolf. "Hey,"Juno called out toward the wolf with a slight growl, quickly realising and she regains her posture, "what's that supposed to mean?" She questions with a softer tone and follows the wolf when she doesn't stop to listen.
Eventually, she reached where the other wolf was eating a rabbit and smiles toward the wolf in a friendly manner. Looking at the wolf who she had followed, Juno could tell she was beyond annoyed with her. She looks back at the purple wolf, attempting to ignore the green one. "Hello! I'm Juno." She greets in a bubbly, sweet voice to the new wolf, not realising he was resting. She was unsure of how this one would react, but the other wasn't as hostile as she anticipated, so why not give it a try?

Chhaya That annoying wolf had been following her. No worries. I'll just convince Kiran to chase her off. "Kiran. Send this bothersome creature on her way, will you? Also, I hope you saved me some of that rabbit you caught because I'm hungry and didn't stop to catch anything." She blinked at her brother then promptly forgot about him and the other wolf staring around at nothing.
Kiran Kiran had been gnawing on the bones of the rabbit to try and pass his time when the two wolves walked into his field of vision, followed by Chhaya announcing her insane statement. "I will do no such thing Chhaya and no I didn't save you any." He turned to the other wolf who had introduced herself and gave her a friendly smile. "Nice to meet you Juno, my name is Kiran. Please don't take offense at my sister. She can be very, he paused inconsiderate." Not to mention rude. His pleasant smile remained on his face but he felt himself grow angry at his sister something that rarely occurred even when she treated him as if he was invisible.

Juno returns the smile Kiran gave to her.
"It's nice to meet you also, Kiran. Don't worry she didn't offend me at all." Juno purposely leaves out saying Don't worry your sister isn't inconsiderate at all! Even though Juno is extremely friendly, the female did annoy her. She then turns back to the wolf, supposedly Chhaya,
"Since you haven't gotten anything to eat would you like me to go find you something? understand we got off on the wrong foot at first, but I'd like to make it up to you." Juno being the wolf she is, tries to see the good in everyone, maybe if she tried hard enough Chhaya would come around. " Juno gives a sweet smile to Chhaya but watches her closely, with an unintended sarcastic look.
(Sorry this took so long! There was an error and it wouldn't let me sent it through!)

Kiran He noticed her sarcastic look aimed at his sister and smiled wryly inside. His face remained pleasantly neutral although he knew how other wolves felt about his sister, even he sometimes felt that way to her. She was technically older than him but she always expected him to do everything for her then complained that he treated her like a pup. He knew it was because their parents had doted on her because she had become evil like them and ignored him but he couldn't let her starve. After all, she was his sister. "You don't have to do that, Juno. I'll go and be back in a jiffy." He turned to go.
Chhaya Chhaya's head snapped in Juno's direction as she spoke. "Make it up to me?! You can make it up to me by going away. My brother will get my food for me." Chhaya would have continued on her rampage if she hadn't been distracted by her thoughts of what birds felt when they soared through the air. She sat and down and decided that was the end of it. Later, when she came to her senses she would apologize to the wolf and maybe that would send her on her way. Chhaya snorted. I've been spending too much time around Kiran. She went back to her thoughts about the birds.
(No worries!)

Juno giggles softly at the childish reaction she got from Chhaya and sits with her tri-colored tail curled around her body.
"I'm sorry, but I can't seem to understand you." She says softly, more to herself but still audible to Chhaya. Juno might not be very fond of Chhaya but she finds her interesting.
She spends her time waiting for Kiran, watching Chhaya. The female's dozed off look and surprisingly distractable nature interests Juno. She follows Chhaya's gaze toward the birds and then looks back at her confused and raises one eyebrow The birds aren't even that interesting. Juno, becoming bored, turns sits and watches the direction Kiran walked off into waiting for him to return, anticipating making a new friend.

Kiran He crept up to an unsuspecting bird and closed his teeth around it, blood running in rivulets from the puncture his teeth had made. Face transforming into a disgusted look he walked quickly back to where the other wolves were waiting. He dropped the bird in front of his sister and sat next to Juno. Regarding her with an interested expression he glanced towards his sister. He almost rolled his eyes as he saw her normal expression of being a million miles away on her face. He turned his gaze back to Juno and let his eyes wander over her once more. She was interesting to look at, different from his sister's green and his light blue. They did share a few similar colors such as the red as white but that was where the similarities ended. He smiled at her. "It really is good to see a friendly face around Juno. If you can't tell my sister does have her oddities."
The subject of Chhaya ended there to him since he knew she could come out of her daze at any moment and start tossing commands and insults around. "Tell me, how did you end up in the Lily Warren? Perhaps more importantly, how did you come to be in the same spot as us?" He wasn't complaining since he was desperate for company that would actually listen to him but he was curious.

She smiles sweetly enjoying the conversation Kiran is making with her.
"I've been here for a while, I was part of a secluded pack hidden around, I was too careless to ever think about where we were located though. One day another pack of wolves much larger than ours attacked, killing most of us. I only survived because I ran instead of fought like everyone else and, well, after wandering I ended up in an area around here. I come here because of the food source and lack of other wolves passing through here." She releases a small laugh,
"Now that I look back at it, I feel like a coward for not protecting my family or friends." She looks down at the floor while explaining her story to Kiran, she waits a moment before her blue eyes travel back up to meet his, her voice filled with gratitude.
"But, I'm happy that you're both here now! I don't get much company so I don't have many friends." Juno speaks with a soft tone and once again smiles, this time her smile isn't to show kindness but to hide the sadness that causes a pain to travel through her heart.

He nods. "Sometimes you just have to have a good attitude about things. But you should't see yourself as a coward because you ran. There was nothing you could do. One wolf wouldn't have made a difference against such a big pack. All you would have succeeded in doing is getting yourself killed." His head lowered in embarrasment for saying such things but he picked it back up determined to He pondered her back story for a while longer. "Would you like to hear why we are here?" He didn't believe in dumping all his baggage on other wolves if they didn't ask for it(although he didn't have that much).
He chuckled silently at the fact that she considered Chhaya might be a friend to her. He tilted his head in thought. It was possible but it would be a slow process and Juno would most likely get offended a thousand times. There weren't many wolves that could ignore Chhaya and her remarks and her attitude.
"I'm happy you're here too." He smiled at her and glanced towards Chhaya making sure she was still there. She often wandered away when he wasn't paying enough attention to her movements. He focused back on Juno after he saw she was still lost in thought.

Watching Kiran lower his head made Juno feel slightly embarrassed causing her to look to the side, avoiding eye contact for a moment. Juno then looks back at him to return his gaze and nods cheerfully, feeling a warm and fuzzy feeling grow throughout her body. Meeting a friendly wolf, or any wolf at all was such a rare occurrence that it was almost strange to talk to something other than herself of the wind.
"Thanks that makes me feel much better. And I wouldn't mind you telling me why you're here." She also looks back toward Chhaya still focused on nothing. Juno laughs softly and rolls her eyes at the wolf's strange behavior before turning her attention back to the friendly wolf currently in front of her. She sits patiently as she listens to Kiran speak while glancing back to Chhaya every now and then.

"Well, obviously Chhaya and I are siblings. Our parents were both evil and so is Chhaya. She was the only one who survived in their first litter and I was part of their next one. They spoiled her rotten and did so even more when I came along. Chhaya was evil like them and I was not. It enraged them even more that me and Chhaya actually seemed to be friends or at least as close as Chhaya comes to having friends. It wasn't just our parents though, it was everyone in our pack and eventually we were cast out because of this friendship. Our tragic past has nothing on yours of course. Nobody died in ours." He smiled but there was no amusement behind it and in his eyes lurked a strange sadness.
"Anyway, did you get any food or did you get distracted by Chhaya?" He was changing the subject to try and deflect the attention from him but he didn't know why. Maybe because I'm so used to being around clueless Chhaya that observant wolves made him nervous.

Juno stays quiet when she listens and watches his movement. The sad smile painted on Kiran's face caused Juno's heart to sink but he quickly changed the subject. Juno, catching on, doesn't want to have to make him talk about his past any longer.
"Oh, I guess I did get a little distracted. But I- Uh— don't really remember why I came out here..." Juno trails off with a quizzical look on her face and she tries to put the pieces of the puzzle, she created, together. The more time passes the more her quizzical look becomes a confused one until her face freezes in its position. Suddenly her head drops down comically as she groans in annoyance,
"Yeah, I'm not the brightest." She laughs cheerfully and looks back up at him with bright eyes and a happy smile, almost forgetting about how sad the moment was that the two shared before. Juno shifts how position to get more comfortable and turns her body more toward Kiran, allowing her to be more comfortable while speaking.
"I could do with a little something to eat, but I enjoy talking to you much more." Juno flashes a close-eyed smile and wags her tail a bit showing her happiness and excitement from talking to others for once.

He laughed with her at her moment of dimness. "Well, I've already been out hunting twice but I'd gladly come with you if you'll kill your food." He froze suddenly remembering Chhaya. He couldn't leave her alone for any amount of time because she'd leave. He looked back to Juno with regret."I'm sorry Juno but I can't. Someone has to watch Chhaya and make sure she stays put."
He didn't want a repeat of her previous disappearing act tonight. Tomorrow he'd be able to handle it but tonight it would kill him from stress. He knew that it wouldn't be any use asking Chhaya to go. She'd probably snap at him for interrupting her musings. If not she would ignore him.
No, the only way I'll be able to go with her is if I drag Chhaya along. He glanced at Chhaya again and realized something. She was staring at him. He shifted uncomfortably for a second then realized she wasn't staring at him but past him. He wondered what she was thinking about now.
