West:
With a pounding heartbeat the silver and white male sped over the ground, each stride keeping an even distance with the sleek female that he was chasing. West grinned as he powered faster, his claws digging into the earth as he pushed himself forward with each leap. He came neck and neck with Fable and sho5 her a teasing smirk, his maw opening with a joyous laugh. ”You’re fast!” He barked, his words immediately blown away in the wind that zipped past their ears. Fable had a smaller frame with a lithe posture and her life as a loner had generously toned her legs. West had been a pack member for some time and such a life had tainted his swift spirit that had been constantly on wind and ceaseless in action. Once upon a time West had been as fast as Fable, maybe faster, but he was content on letting his new friend win this race.
With each leap closer to the boarder of Secluded Sunrise, West got an anxious feeling that slowly made his wide grin shrink, but not disappear. What if Fable would change her mind by the time they reached their destination? What if bringer her back to the boarder would make her memories come back when they had first met and all the exchanged words. West couldn’t let those “what if” doubts stop him, he was doing this for Fable, and whatever she chose, he would be there by her side.
He glanced over to the female who had taken the lead once more, and her face was beaming with happiness and joy. Utter contentment that only a free soul can have. Running was her freedom, and the weight of fear couldn’t even hold her down.
The boarder was in sight, and West exerted the last once of his power as her sprinted forward. His ears laying flat on his skull and his neck stretched forward as her leaped past the trees and into the territory of the neutral pack. With a great sigh, West slowed to a trot and turned around to look for Fable, their race now complete, and exhaustion was hitting hard. A pounding heart and deep intakes of air where all the gray male heard for a couple seconds as he panted uncontrollably.
